A. M.I went here for the first time last week. The food was excellent although perhaps a little pricey. The wines were very expensive. I did find the restaurant a bit dark and struggled to read the menu. As the restaurant hasn't been open long, some of the issues may be teething problems so I would try it again.
D. J.For this restaurant only being open a week, it is already running incredibly smoothly. Was no issues at all with me being gluten free and the gluten free bread they had was delicious. All the food was incredible, I mean gluten free tagliatelle how many restaurants go to that effort. The service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. I'd highly recommend giving this place a try you will not be disappointed, make sure you go hungry as you'll most definitely want 3 courses. Drinks were superb as well, perfect for a special occasion or date night.

The food quality was excellent. We enjoyed the meal very much.
The only downside is the layout. Our table was on the front window with a partition right behind us. It felt like we were items on a retail shop's main window display.

b.My partner chose the venue for our first night away in Edinburgh for ages. Had a very chilled evening starting with Negroni cocktails and service was slick. We are not big wine drinkers but our sommelier recommended a great choice to go with the main..sea bream, shared between us. Just half a carafe was perfect. Yes, we dud fall for the 'Ahh, the last Sea Bream, Sir? Great choice!'..because the party of 4 next to us ordered the same 30mins later! Starters of scallop and risotto were excellent and with leisurely taken desserts we felt we could not have been better served. Our hats are well and truly 'off' to you. Ciao, Rico!

N. K.Went today for the first time with my daughter we were both impressed upon arrival staff were attentive, helpful and informative, relaxing sofisticated atmosphere. We chose from the lunch menu and when the dishes were presented to us the waiter explained all the ingredients not only did the food look good it tasted amazing too. From start to finish service was faultless. Well worth the money . My daughter is already planning a return.
S. P.Great food, great service, pricey but worth it. My partner would have liked more info on the menu to know for example a dish was topped with olives which she doesn't like. I also thought the clams in vongole were a bit gritty or Shelly. Fantastic scallop and basil sorbet!
I. W.A lovely Saturday lunch for 2 - with a very high level of service all round. Authentic Italian food rather than the 1970s British version of Italian food! Very fairly priced 2 course menu at £20pp or 3 courses £25pp. We went a la carte. Our red wine choice at £77 added to the bill - a £57 mark-up on retail price of the wine - but was my choice as was special occassion.
Great background music and attentive staff. Lovely bar area. Amazing Negroni cocktail. Would happily drop in here for a drink - not just the food.
D. M.Eaten here twice in the last three weeks. It is high quality Italian food full of flavour. I really enjoyed the scallops, spinach and ricotta ravioli, lamb ragu and the pannacotta. Tailored dishes for my friend who is gluten intolerant. Highly recommended.
K. T.Outstanding. I have spent many a summer in Tuscany and Rico's food is on the mark. I would usually associate pasta with informal dining but it is a treat to have it presented so exquisitely, in such smart surroundings and with such great service. Can't wait to return.
