The burgers were filling, though they could have added some salad on the plate. Fried calamari so very tasty and soft to chew, sadly 5 rings of calamari on the plate do not justify their price. Garlic bread also very tasty and mouth-watering, but a few thin slices of a baguette isn't a good side dish. Desserts were very well made and presented. The staff were friendly but I didn't appreciate them coming to the table every 2' (by the clock) to ask us if we are ready to order. Felt so pressured to order, I didn't like it at all and was uncomfortable. Please give your guests time to choose from your catalogue especially if they are not familiar with the cuisine and need some extra time to read the ingredients and the composition of the dishes you offer. We know where you are and we can call for you when we are ready, the place is not big and we literally see you across the room watching. We had a nice time though, nice atmosphere and music.

The smiling welcome was just the beginning. The decor and soundtrack generates a really good atmosphere with energy and interest. The colourful decor has real character and the background music made it easy to relax and chat. The menu is interesting and it would be great to live nearby so we could work our way through it. Playing boringly safe and being very hungry, we opted for a beef and a chicken burger. Both were delicious (we halved them and each tried both) perfectly cooked with fresh salad and great dressings. The house fries were also good. Washed down with a pint of Estrella our meals were perfect - tasty, hot and thoroughly enjoyable. The staff were lovely, attentive, but not overpowering. It definitely felt like they enjoyed what they were doing. A brilliant, intimate restaurant offering excellent food at value for money pricing. We want to return.

Being a solo traveller is so much fun, so free, but one thing can be challenging... finding a restaurant that will allow you a table...especially at 7.30pm on a Saturday, without a booking! We had the steak sampler and it was cooked to absolute perfection. It came with a generous bowl of fries and we had some delicious Rioja Crianza to go with it. I had mentioned it was my husband's birthday and we were offered free desert which was such a sweet gesture. The staff were so friendly and nice. We just loved the atmosphere and the food is amazing! Can't wait to come back and try the burgers!

First visit here, friendly welcome from Mohammed and other staff. We enjoyed our Pinot wine, shared some bread a dip, then a sirloin steak came with salad and mushroom, I added skinny fries and brocolli, and a rump steak with melted stilton came with salad, added parmesan mash, finished off with coffees. All food was freshly made and very tasty, staff were luvly , enjoyed our visit :)

The first time i visited, the food and service were excellent. Today i ordered a rare t bone that came with the fat not trimmed or rendered. Moreover half of the order including the steak’s sauce was not recorded and came later than the steak did (after reminding the staff). Their meat quality is excellent which would make for great food. The aforementioned unfortunately holds them back. The £45 i spent was definitely not worth the food i received.

Finally had the sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake and yet again was blown away at it presentation and tast. Yesterday was the fourth anniversary of me and my boyfriend being together! I spent lots of time online to find a good steak restaurant and I found here! The reviews are good and it is indeed fantastic! First, their service is excellent! The staff is super nice and helpful! When we have to postpone the time a bit, I called them and they quickly picked up the phone call and helped us reserve the table for one more hour. As this was our first time coming here, we asked the staff to give us some recommendation. She explained everything very patiently and the suggestions were very helpful! Second, the steak is fantastic, the best steak I've ever had in Edinburgh. We ordered LONG BONE TOMAHAWK around 900g. It came with a big plate of chips and also salad and bread. I have to say it's quite a big portion but we finished all at the end since the meat was super tender and delectable! Third, they didn't charge our soft drink and a cup of wine as it's our anniversary. They even offered us a free cheese cake, since we were pretty full so we kindly declined the offer. All in all, we really had a wonderful night eating there. Highly recommend Toro Latino and will definitely go back and try more food:D

Great quality food and wonderful service, very prompt. Nachos and the Tbone steak is what I had. Nachos were tasty and fresh. Steak was cooked to my preference and well seasoned. It was a great cut of meat. My only gripe is I had ordered melted stilton to go with the steak. I love stilton but the steak came out covered in it. I would have preferred it on the side so I could add what I wanted when I wanted it. I enjoyed the atmosphere, music, and warm earthly colours. Would definitely recommend but ask for cheese on the side.

Waiter told us they had two large tables in just before us so there would be a 30 min wait for food which he wanted to check was OK with us before serving which was great. Went with my sister for her birthday, we are from the states and we were blown away with the quality and friendliness of the manager Mohammad. Side note I worked at a 5 star steak and seafood restaurant for 2 years and the quality at Toro Latino is still miles ahead from anything I've tasted.

The presentation was beautiful, with a small variety of leaves for salad, roasted cherry tomatoes and a roasted portabello mushroom. It was fabulous.
