We had a lovely evening here! Some of the items on the menu had already sold out, but we still had a choice of plant based options. The staff were busy, but all were friendly and helpful. The ambiance was very pleasant, with a natural style decor and good music (but not too intrusive). Most importantly, we had the opportunity to add a little onto our bill to give a homeless person some dinner too, via Social Bite. I wonder if they’ll try the brownie too?

You need to go here!!! OMG!!!! This place is AMAZINGGGG!!!! The food is amazing our drinks were amazing, our server was amazing, everything was amazing!!! Our server Chris was delightful and we had an amazing conversations about traveling, American culture, and American Football! For food, I ordered the BBQ Mountain Burger was a delicious vegan burger. My mom ordered fish and chips which she enjoyed! For drinks, I had the Vesta Punch (a mocktail) and my mom had an old fashion which she enjoyed as well. For dessert, I had their brownie which again was delicious! The place is well designed with beautiful plants and light fixtures. Recommend this place for any occasion (according to some posters around they have bubbles and brunch too).

food here was amazing!! lovely vegetarian options as well as meat. would 100% recommend. we were told upon entry that the service would be a bit slow because they were understaffed but in the end we managed to order and eat 2 courses within an hour. polite staff despite being run off their feet👍🏻

Lovely venue. If feels relaxing and the decor gives an excellent atmosphere. As soon as we sat down and starts to enjoy the ambiance we were given a Kilner bottle with water. This adds to the brilliant feeling of being a valued customer. I highly recommend this place. 👌

Really great spot for dinner. Cheap Prosecco! Delicious food. We had the cauliflower wings and Mac n cheese for starters. Followed by the vegan black rice dish and lamb rump. All really tasty. Good value for money and a nice ambience for a relaxed dinner.

Sadly I forgot to take photos of the food, mainly because it was DELICIOUS. A really lovely, fresh menu with loads of variety. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and happy to bring over toys to entertain kids while their parents try and have a coffee. Definitely recommend, far better than other restaurants in the area.

Fantastic place I really like dinning service here. I am a vegetarian and the veggie menu is amazing. No more overprice salads or cheesy rissoto - in Vesta they know how to cook without meat or fish and they used seitan and other ingredients. I had a miso glazed seitan with rice that was out of this world. And on top of all that, they are part of social bite empire which means that you eating out is contributing to a good cause. Do you need any more excuses to go? :-)

Fantastic bar and restaurant with incredible cocktails and food. They may run out of certain dishes early (a good sign) and dishes are fairly affordable. 10 quid for a burger and 13 for the roast chicken with sides being around 4 pounds. Highly recommend.

Great place for dinner. We passed by it randomly looking for dinner and were curious about the menu (seitan hamburger is rare), but the interior design sealed the deal - very nice and comfortable. Had a mojito and wine with the olives and bread starter and the sea bass and seitan burger mains. Sea bass was amazing with the sea beans (great find!), sweet fennel purée, and perfect potatoes. Burger was very good, chips could have been cooked just a second longer. For the price you won’t find better food or service. Super friendly and helpful. Keep it up!

Good selection of beer, cocktails and gin. Staff are wonderful. There’s one particular fella serving here from the Czech Republic. He’s amazing. We went too late for food as the kitchen was closed, but happy to recommend it nonetheless.

Perfect for mixed dietary needs. Lots of choices for vegans and vegetarians, and so tasty that the meat-eaters also enjoyed. Everything beautifully cooked. Flavours and combinations inventive, different to other menus, but totally delicious. Genuinely wanted to try every dish! Food presented on rustic stoneware which was pretty. The ambience of the place was relaxing even though it was reasonably busy. We were well attended all evening. Finally, you can opt to pay for homeless people to come in and enjoy the same meals (the restaurant closes every Monday just for them) which I think added an extra pleasure to the evening. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

We enjoyed our lunch so much on one day, we went back the very next day to eat there again. The Avocado & roast cherry tomatoes sandwich was delicious and the toffee sponge cake made me want to lick the plate afterwards. Amazing. Wonderful staff, as well. Highly recommend this place!

Good food and wine in a relaxed atmosphere. Generously sized portions. Menu has good mix of both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. As this is a Social Bite restaurant you also have the opportunity to help support the homeless. I will definitely be back.

We had a lovely late lunch/early dinner here during the Fringe. While the place was empty when we stopped by, as were the other restaurants near by, the vibe was not the same as it would be in the evening. We were met and seated with a warm welcome and given plenty time over drinks to choose our order. The food came promptly as you would expect when quiet and it was lovely. Burger, Steak Sandwich, Pork and Fish and Chips. All very tasty. We have a family rule to always try different places when visiting Edinburgh but would happily visit again. Don't forward to pay it forward too. Thanks Vesta, great work!

A great little restaurant, just a stone's throw from Princes street and which also supports local homeless people. Limited food menu but still enough of a choice, only minor point was the size of the portions - my wife is not a big eater but even she felt she could have eaten a bit more after her main course! Having said that, the food was very nice and week presented. They also had a good selection of birth alcoholic and non- alcoholic drinks but also at the usual Edinburgh prices.

Can't praise enough. Broke my wrist on way to restaurant , the waitress was a first aider and was able to apply a sling to my arm. This enabled me to make a bus journey to Fife and hospital. Cannot thank her enough Unfortunately I only managed the soup, but it was delicious.....will be back for mains and dessert when I can use a knife and fork again.

Before Kylie concert at Edinburgh Castle we dined at Vesta which was Fab. The Teriyaki Glazed Cod was cooked to perfection and husbands Massiman Grilled Chicken Curry was delicious. Our choice of Pitman's Viogier Australian wine was perfect. Service, ambience and location all brill. Thoroughly recommend.
