Reviews of Wings
P. C.
Fantastic wings and nuggets with a wide range of their own excellent sauces. The chicken skin was crispy with a succulent interior and the sauces are well balanced and not too sweet. Staff are chirpy and efficient, and the place has a great atmosphere. Only down point is the Mac 'n' cheese was very average
N. M.
Love this place amazing atmosphere, great staff fantastic food, can't fault it.
Menu is simplistic and with an abundance of sauce options it never gets boring. The drinks are equally different and creative its just such a lovely eating experience.
J. H.
Great experience, visited after seeing positive reviews and wasn’t disappointed at all.
Visited on a Saturday night during fringe without a booking, but they could squeeze us in.
Granted the place is a bit grubby in parts, but the decor and atmosphere is great. Friendly attentive staff. Good choice of beers and decent cocktails. The wings were excellent, really wide variety of choice and clear grading for the heat - wings were served fast, crispy and absolutely full of flavour.
Only minor concern is that I tried two that were graded 3, and there was a big difference in the heat of them - not an issue for us as they were comfortably within the spice levels we liked, but could be an issue if you don’t like spicy food.
All in all, great meal and will absolutely come back.

We went in on a Wednesday evening and got a table. Reservations a better bet on more busier nights.
We had some excellent nuggets. Tried the most spicy one on the menu and it sure took an effort. But the meat was tender and flavourful. We aslo tried the churros, which were nice and warm.
Very fun place to be, great place for a beer session with friends, and the server's were really nice and helpful. Would recommend. Would come back.
M. F.
Great food and great staff. The restaurant is underground and the decoration is spectacular.
A large choice of sauces.
I recommend this place for a relaxed meal.
D. D.
Love the atmosphere. Chicken wings and fries are delicious. The sauce is unique. Beer is good to try with wings.
J. R. S.
Such a hidden gem, Wings were awesome, the venue was awesome and the staff were lovely! Highly recommended. Will be back to try different flavours!
S. P.
Saw this recommended on a LOT of sites, and boy oh boy does it live upto the hype. It's no frills eating and drinking, with no pretentious shenanigans to speak of. The staff were welcoming, and the food glorious. Had several dishes of the boneless wings and all were flavourful. The slush cocktails were also far too easy to drink, two down in no time, especially as the mango, passionfruit and vodka literally tastes like a Solero. 😂 So yes, highly recommended, go, go now, what are you waiting for?
Edit. Liked it so much, went back again today to see them and have some more magnificent wings.
N. E.
Amazing selection, inventive interior (especially for those that love comic/ film) but best of all, the staff are warm, welcoming and helpful. We had a delicious meal, based on staff recommendations, and some great tips for exploring Edinburgh during our visit. They really go above and beyond. Definitely recommend!
R. C.
Just spectacular wings . Best food I had all weekend by a royal mile . If you even kinda like chicken wings you have to call . Staff so helpful and there’s a level of spice for all . Including the 8 level. And no I did not get my picture on the wall for trying it. Sells the sauces by the bottle as well
H. H.
Chicken Wings and Chicken Nuggets in a sauce that you like and select. Very affordable and delicious food. The place has a great vibe around dnd, gaming, superheroes and action movies. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
G. Y. T.
wings are not too bad but i din really think that the texture is soft enough compared to some buffalo wings i had before. the nuggets were really tender which was the surprising one. the ability to mix any of any dry rub + sauces was nice.
A. C.
If you like wings and you're in Edinburgh this is the place to go. Since we stumbled upon this place a few years ago it's a firm favourite of mine and a of my friends too. The wings are great and with the immense choice of sauces the combined result is unbeatable. Every visit I walk out Happy with a full belly. Staff and service are great, the prices are fantastic.
H. Y. D.
A little hidden gem for all geeks and nerds where you can hang out, surrounded by incredibly cool artworks and movie references and devour fantastic chicken wings with a large variety of sauces. Good luck finding Wally/Waldo!
K. P.
More wings that anyone ever needed, but just about as many as you could ever want. The selection on the menu is vast. Highly recommend the maelstrom. Also have a great selection of booze.
Great value for money, friendly staff, great music and good COVID measures. Can’t wait until the games bar reopens.
S. W.
Amazing food and cool atmosphere! Good value for money and an amazing range of sauces and flavours. I like the hot wings challenge they have and the sci-fi / retro gaming theme of the place. The drinks are also great and they offer veggie and vegan options too which is nice for a mixed group of carnivores and herbivores.
C. M.
Highly recommend giving this place a try. Food was excellent. Delicious, fresh and great flavors. The staff was welcoming, friendly and answered all our questions about the menu. Also an excellent value.
V. D.
We had Wings on vacation as we as a family love chicken wings! The atmosphere is hilarious the menu is extensive and all delicious we had bone in and nuggets mozzarella sticks and fries. We had dill Caesar, garlic Caesar, oh Canada BBQ, chipotle Buffalo, hot mustard and, salt and pepper, and a sweet chili dry rub. They where all fantastic but I must say the traditional wings where much better because they are really good quality and well cooked! The gin slushee was also a hit! Our favorite overall was the hot mustard as it had great flavor without an overpowering kick! Would go back in a heartbeat
S. H.
Wings are served in “bowls” that come with 4 whole wings. Endless choices of sauces. Atmosphere here is unbeatable. Service was attentive. Wings were dry and overcooked but still pretty tasty. Reasonable prices for what you get.
S. R.
Great wings! They have a ton of different flavors and heat levels! They give you the whole wing.
H. M.
A great selection of sauces for every taste. Friendly staff and Stewart Brewing on tap. What's not to like. I did the Taps Aff! Good spice level.
B. M.
Had the nuggets with the Canadian Supreme sauce. Very tasty. Fries were piping hot.
Cool decor and the music was cool.
Lovely service.
T. “. K.
Awesome located - great place, marvellous atmosphere, brilliant service. Nuggets was really tasty! Little less wings itself... But hey, there is such a variety so no bother! I will defo go again soon, to try other ones. Highly recommended!
N. Q.
Great wings, And great prices!!! We loved it
A. T. M.
Overrated.... Sorry! People seem to go gaga for this place but I have to be honest and say the service was apathetic and the chicken wings were dry to the point of dessication. If I go again, which is doubtful, I'd get the nuggets. At least you'd be getting more chicken for your money! Decor was cool, but not enough to make up for other things. The wings at Down The Hatch are far superior.
D. S.
I visited Edinburgh for a weekend with a group of friends and absolutely loved this place! Could not recommend more, a crazy amount of different flavours and sauces so I am pretty sure that there is something for everyone here. If you are in Edinburgh and love chicken wings visit this place!
K. C.
Corky , geeky little place , very cozy and fun, great selection of wings and nuggets , tasty and cheerful
D. H.
Service was really good, my waiter was lovely but sadly wings were bland and soggy, went 2 times and it was the same. Good prices anyways just wish wings were crispier as well.
N. F.
Absolutely delicious food matched with impeccable service. Really reasonably priced too. Can't recommend this place enough.
C. M.
Bloody love this place and bloody happy it survived lockdown. Make sure you go to the sauce shop on Candlemaker Row to get bottles of the sauce too.
Great service, great Wings, great beers.
C. B.
Great setting with great choices. Our eyes are always bigger than our bellies when we order. Great portion sizes and the flavours are always tasty and fresh. Great value for money and the staff are always kind and attentive.
M. N.
Menu as changed old classic remain but lots of citrus and fruit twists added not so sure about them. Cost of over £5 for 3 wings seems a lot. Decor is looking tired in places , been a long term customer it's a little sad to write this review, even the toilets have half scrubbed mold on/off the ceilings. Would I still recommend, yes but it's not the place it once was.
K. C.
LOVE this place. Chicken, chicken, and more chicken. So many sauce options. You can't got wrong. Remember to order strips to soak up the sauce!
s.
The foods amazing, wings with basically any sauce you want on top. Love the atmosphere and oreo milkshake
k. c.
Amazing flavour wings from bbq to mild to 'too hot to handle' 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.
Friendly, helpful staff and a funky vibe atmosphere. Would defo recommend.
C. A.
Very cool looking place, with nice staff. They have a very large menu, so it should be easy to find something for everyone. It's also quite inexpensive. I do have to say, some wings will not be for everyone. Loved 2 of the 4 flavors we got, and was pretty let down by the other 2. The chips were fantastic.
K. J.
Super satisfying. They only serve wings and yes, they do it very well. Good size, tasty and awesome staff. Decor is really funky too. A bit hard to find, it's just tucked down the old Fishmarket close (aka the alley) off of the Royal Mile.
K. G.
Awesome geeky decoration! Wings are huge and they have plenty of sauces! Would definitely go back! Just an advice: Start by ordering six wings and then you decide if you want more. Do not order them all from the beginning because you might end up with lots of food to take away. #foodieGuide #properWings
C. W.
Wings was so phenomenal it was like a religious experience from entering to walking home. The wings were delicious. The service was...unique. And the decor was delightful. If you're considering going, go; it is awesome.
B.
Such a cool place. Wings and nuggets were flavourful, tasty and saucy as hell (do not wear white clothes there), our waiter was really lovely, friendly and recommended great dishes. Cold draught beer, good music-not too loud. Yeah, we will be back!
M. A. (.
What a great place! When I first entered I was immediately reminded of the more underground pubs and clubs I used to visit as the ambience is the same... Young and subversive and a little chaotic! The food is limited to chicken wings and a few extras (they have hamburgers and nachos and things too...) but really, this isn't an issue as they have a massive variety of wings to choose from!!! Each plate is about 4-6 wings with a different preparation using salsas from all over the world mixed in weird and wonderful ways and you really need to pick two or three to get a taste for what they do here. Also, make sure to ask if they have any specials that aren't on the menu as they often have recipes they're testing or that are new that haven't made onto the menu yet. I found the atmosphere of the place great, the staff to be very friendly and fun and the food was excellent. It is slightly more expensive than I'd have liked, but actually worth every penny and if you're in Edinburgh looking for a different lunchtime snack with friends I can't recommend Wings enough.
J. P.
Very friendly, relaxed atmosphere with some classic game consoles downstairs to keep you entertained. Absolutely loads of flavours to go on your wings but I feel like the wings themselves could be a little better quality. Overall great value for money and well worth a visit.
A. Y.
Fantastic all round, will definitely be back and will go hotter than the level eight. Highly recommend for an alternative good value meal.
C. W.
Neatest wings I have ever eaten food was great and cheap. Decor was a 90s kids dream. Battering ram was a solid great beer for Scotland. Had the Skywalker and ask for the best to be impressed!
L. B.
Class little place, underground. Go for the nuggets they are superb. Believe the spice metre it's very accurate.
M. N.
I definitely got my spicy tolerance tested with the taps aff and mk211 sauces (2 of the 50-ish entries). Craft beer options are also decent. Can be crowded during the weekend so booking a table would be a smart move.
D. Y.
Really fun place! Insane amount of options. We ordered a mix of wings and nuggets, including the spiciest sauce on the menu. It was spicy... very spicy, they don’t muck around, that’s for sure
Y. R.
Great spot for wings while in Edinburgh. They have a great variety of sauces, all the ones I had were good. They have BBQ, dry rubs, spicy and other flavors.
C. G.
Long time favourite ❤ slowly working my way through the whole flavour menu will my partner but I would say out faves are French Bee & Black Magic. Also new drunken pirate milkshake was amazing!
S. 1.
Saw this place on "TopJaw's" Edinburgh video and had to check it out...
Awesome stuff! We will defo be back...very friendly staff and the best wings you'll ever have...what more do you want?
Great value here....
Keep it up fam!
"My face is on fire in a very beautiful way!" 🔥
B. B.
Wings is always a great experience! Decorated with various movie and TV show themed tables/areas. They have 80 truly different flavours of wing sauce to keep you coming back for old favourites and new taste experiences! They have a nice selection of beer, spirits and simple cocktails alongside milkshakes both for kids and adults (yes they have alcoholic milkshakes for £6!). Great service and advice when picking from their extensive menu (not just wings).
Always a fun experience!
R. L.
Great wings with so many different sauces and different level of spice. The decoration is great, and the staff super friendly. We were even given a tour around the venue showing us the different spaces and telling us stories about the place and the owner. I hope the decide to open soon in London too!
C. M.
Great place with retro games. Big juicy wings with a great selection of choices. Sadly there isn't a good selection of gluten free sauces but did see a sign about making changes. Service was quick and staff very friendly. If you like heat recommend the 8 flames wings!
J.
One order of wings here is £4.50 and only includes 3, but don't let that scare you! Each wing consists of both the flat and drumette, both of which are meaty and large. Their selection of flavors is incredibly large, and be sure to ask for any specials they have on as the one suggested to me was absolutely incredible.
D. H.
This place is 5 stars for customer service and the ambience. Drink was good too but the chicken (which is supposedly the highlight) was overfried and too hard to eat at some parts.
A. J.
Okay, here's the thing: I literally came here to write a review because this place has popped in to my head during lockdown so many times - the sauces are so good they sell them as a whole separate brand. I've rolled out of this place in a food coma about 20 times, lost count. It's just chicken wings, sure, but the staff, service, food, flavour, decor and vibe of the place is just one of a kind. It's a little grimey looking (but very clean) and at the end of the day you're going to be eating sauce covered wings with your hands, so if you're looking for fine dining then you're in the wrong place. The place is kitted out like a 14 year old kids bedroom in 1980s North America. Music is great and the staff are low key weird but wonderful. Service is quick and friendly. Good veggie options and boozy milkshakes An absolute must for anyone visiting Edinburgh.
K. N.
This place is decorated so cool. I love the Nintendo stations. But probably wouldn't go there again to be honest. The wings were good but I've definitely have had better. It wasn't the cheapest either.
M. G.
Awesome. Had to be in and eat quick due to staff party but the wings were super tasty! Took advice from the server regarding which toppings but couldn't fault the advice! Will be going back for round two!
J. P.
This place is very good, has basically any wings topping you can think of, not all are crazy hot either. They do have mild flavours too so don’t be put off if you don’t like hot flavours. Great service and good music playing in the background. They also do nuggets if your not that keen on the wings. Only let down is choice of beer, saying that though, the place is called wings, not beer 😂
A. M.
Some of the best wings I have had in a long time. Great quirky venue with some pretty varied decor! Seems like a labor of love and it shows. Definitely plan to return
J. R.
Small quirky restaurant situated in Old Fishmarket Close of the Royal Mile, absolutely loved it, 80 flavours of chicken wings from salad dressing right through to extremely hot and everything in between, I got a number 5 hot of the menu and it goes up to 11 which is the suicide challenge, if you complete this you get a photo on the wall as you walk in the door, there was also a comprehensive selection of board games and a games console to be played, atmosphere was great and service was friendly, we got 3 chicken dishes, 3 sides, chips and 2 drinks for £32, would 100% recommend, I will defo be back to try more flavours.
A. C.
Friendly and fast service, good wings. But it's the sauce you really pay for and they have a huge variety. Also, we got extra wings just as they were going spare for free. Good price and cool atmosphere with different themes tables.
M. B.
Great service, great wings, and not too expensive, really enjoyed our meal here 😀😁😆 and the chips were top notch too 👌
L. L.
We came to Wings as my friend and I could not agree on whether we wanted lunch or just a large snack, and Wings turned out to be perfect. For two reasons: both of us got exactly what we wanted (lunch and a large snack) as well as that we were surrounded by pop culture paraphernalia that made our inner nerds extremely happy. The staff was very friendly and more than happy to help to explain the concept to us, as well as give us recommendations based on the flavours that we liked. With two orders of wings as well as nuggets, and the chips and tortilla strips to share, both my friend and I were perfectly content. The strips as well as the fries were quite bland in taste, just slightly salty, but this was perfect as we were combining several flavours in the wings and nuggets. The bites did a perfect job as a palate cleanser.
As for the chicken; the base of all chicken is the same with them frying up a batch and adding sauce and rubs afterwards. This means that you got to make sure that you really get some sauce on there before taking a bite. It's a shame to leave those flavours untouched. It also means that your food gets there fast, but one of my wings and some nuggets were already just a tad on the cold side. The chicken nuggets are a tad dry, but when again combined with the sauce this is not a bad thing. They could be a little bit more crispy though. However, please don't forget that as in many places in Edinburgh you're located in a cellar and therefore the smells and flavours of the kitchen linger. This can become a bit overwhelming if you're not mentally prepared.
I got to give an extra shout out to the staff though, and this is why I added an extra star to this review. Besides their friendliness to explain the food and the fact that they were very quick with our orders (which was great as we were hungry), they were also extremely polite and helpful when I got one of the worst nosebleeds that I've had in years. I know I must have left that bathroom in a state that would fit into their decor of pop culture stuff as a reference to some gruesome slasher movie, but they were very kind in accepting my apologies and helped me out amazingly. So I will definitely return, to enjoy some more wings as well as have my "inner child" tickled by all the dorky stuff that refer back to movies I loved back in the days.
J. H.
This place has a great vibe to it. Found it on Yelp and thought we would give it a try. The staff was super friendly and the theme was great. The food tasted great and was fairly priced. There was a huge selection of wing sauces and drinks. Would definitely go there again.
J. M.
Best chicken wings in Edinburgh, probably Scotland and likely the UK.
More sauces than you can shake a chicken bone at and a very cool geeky vibe.
If I could give it 6 stars I would.
M. S.
Really incredible choice of wings in a really cool space. The walls are adorned with pop culture references and you can hasten the wait for food away with a game of where's Wally. Really nice choice of wings and couldn't fault a single one of the wings we chose. Price for the wings + side is incredibly reasonable and the staff are friendly. Always try and visit when we're in Edinburgh and would definitely recommend!
R. M.
I can't praise this place enough! They offer a huge variety of chicken wings in scores of different flavours of sauce !
I tried their boozy milkshake which was out of this world and surely got me tipsy at 2 in the afternoon.
The portion size is good enough and soon we realised that we had ordered more than what we could eat
There's ample seating capacity both indoors and outdoors and the interiors have some really funky graffiti
There isn't much parking available outside on the streets, so see if you can walk up to them instead.
We liked the sauces so much.. we picked a couple of different flavours as souvenir !
O.
This could be the best chicken wing place in the UK! Incredible selection for all tastes, great choice of beers and sides, friendly and super fast service! Highly recommended for anyone visiting or living in Edinburgh! Black Metal beer! 🤘🤘🤘
A. C.
Actually was suggested to us by the guys at the Warhammer shop near by. Such a great find, sooo many options. The staff and interior are both fun and friendly, best decor I've ever seen.
G. “. T.
Great friendly atmosphere and great staff. Good wings and plenty of sauces to choose. Prices are decent as well. Highly recommend booking a retro game console table downstairs.
S. A.
Delicious chicken wings and nuggets, superb sauces and thoroughly enjoyed the dinner with some Joker IPA...
R. B.
Great food, awesome staff they are really friendly and helpful. I had the king Bob wings which had lots of meat on them along side the mozzarella sticks which were scrumptious and to top it all off I had a oreo cookie milkshake. Also great music. I highly recommend wing's 🤤🤤🤤😋😍
C. E.
Very friendly waiters, nice music, but in my opinion 5£ for 3 nuggets is pretty expensive. Sauces werent that tasty
a. b.
Chicken wings gogo, 50 types or more relaxed environment (try the chips too they are really good) Great service. Must go
A. J.
Awesome wings. Doesn't look like much but the spicy sauces are great and vary from tingle to unbearably hot.
J. P.
Unusual place with geeky taste. Wide range of flavours. Chicken nuggets was amazing! Wings were not as tender as hoped for, yet the variety of sauces was incredible. Advise booking in advance due to popularity
R. á. S.
This was a really fun experience as there is no restaurant like this in my country. Quirky/fun/nerdy decor and great food. We sat near a wall where they had drawn pretty much every single character from cartoons and movies and we enjoyed finding Waldo and other characters there.
We ordered five bowls for two people, we probably would be fine with 4 but I'm happy we paid extra to try one more flavor. From what I remember we ordered one with soy barbecue, one with parmesan cheese, one with bacon bits, one with honey mustard and the last one was something like lemony salt and pepper.
S. M.
Without a doubt the coolest place to eat in Edinburgh. The cheekiness of the ambience a d the crazy staff with a massive selection of flavors is what makes this place just epic. A must visit in Edinburgh
A. S.
Found just off Edinburgh's Royal Mile. Novel menu approach, one bowl of wings was enough for me although menu does lend itself to sharing mixing wings and nuggets. Wings could have been hotter but comes with plenty of sauce and if you went for a spicy option you would not worry about heat :). Very tasty though.
L. D. B.
Great wings and fries, lovely staff and really cool decor. Definitely a must visit if you’re a wings fan
H. D. (.
We sat by the Jurassic park corner.
I loved the creativity.
Sadly the wings weren't great, the sauces were nice though. I only ordered 3 different kinds, I got full easily.
T. V.
Fantastic food, atmosphere, staff, and venue. Great service and reasonable prices. Would definitely come again when I'm next in Edinburgh.
C. D.
Been going here years and it's amazing. Staff, venue and food are all fantastic. I would suggest New Worlder, Sad Cheese and Gene Parmigian for your sauces!
L. T.
This is a really cool place if you like chicken wings. Do may veriations to choose from. And if your into hot wings there is a large selection of them too from hot to insane.
Areas inside are decided up into really cool areas such as Dr Who, Jerasic Park, Star Wars and do on. They even gave retro games consoles downstairs like the Super Nintendo and Mega Drive.
If your into chicken wings and even a little bit geeky you will love it here. Really enjoyed our visit and will go again when next in Edinburgh.
A. A.
Me and my friend love chicken wings, and were very impressed with the service, staff, food and selection (my second time visiting). The retro style decor is also great.
The place is unpretentious, and has a huge uncomplicated menu with a variety of chicken wings which should cater for everyones taste.
Portion sizes are huge for the price, often receiving more than the stated 3 wings in each bowl - we had 4 bowls each with no sides, which was a struggle however we both managed to finish.
Please note due to the location you are unlikely to get any phone signal in here, and there did not seem to be WiFi available.
A. H.
Wow if you love chicken, you need to come here. So much to choose from when it comes to rubs and sauces to go on your wings or nuggets. I loved the underground feel to the restaurant. When I'm back in Edinburgh I'll be coming here again.
J. M.
Go to place in when friends are up in Edin that haven't been before, they're always impressed and the wings never fail to slap!
E. D.
Amazing place. Just love it!
The food is good, the staff is great and the atmosphere always fun. Definitely recommend it
M. C.
A little bit ragged around the edges in a wonderful, playfully punky way. Awesome wings in a fun little place, and bloody reasonable to boot. Stop there even if you aren't hungry, just for a wee snacky.
R. D.
The food here was amazing! The place is quirky and really adds to the ambiance. We tried 12 different flavours and all were very tasty. Make sure you try some sauces to dip. Can’t wait to go again.
Z. Z.
As amazing as ever - just had a couple of tubs of takeaway on the Mile. Nom! Plenty of napkins in the bag too - very mindful!
Also stopped past Sauce for a few bottles of their magic to try making my own at home later. I know they won't be as tasty so might have to pop back soon and take notes! 🤪
J. B.
Wings is an excellent spot for some tasty junk food! Each bowl of wings is well cooked with delicious sauces. The sides are standard and decent enough but I reckon just load up on the wings
m. H.
Superb staff. food was lovely
Milkshakes are aswell 😁
Will happily call in again
J. H.
My partner and I have been here 3 times since the start of May and every time it's been incredible. The atmosphere is really laid back, the staff are all lovely, the sauces are amazing, and I think it's fairly priced.
s. m.
Went with the new wife. Ate 29 wings, plate of chips and 2 beer. Bloody brilliant. Wings were lovely just wish I had more room to try even more. Very friendly atmosphere. Roll on the next trip, I will not pass by this place for sure.
S. R.
Wanted to visit Wings for a while now, finally all aligned and wishes granted.
We booked yesterday for today and can easily and excitedly comment that we will be back for more .
Down a bit of a slope ( I feared the return journey, but survived) and then some steps, we finally reached our destination. Tall folk! Be prepared to duck! There is no WiFi down here either so be prepared to chat to your companion... if you dare.
Decent sized tables for 2 people- allows you to have 8 or more bowls at a time ! We were a little more conservative tho and started with 2 choices each - to share . Not your kfc style wings so stay away if that's what you are after ! We ordered 2 lots of wings and 2 lots of Nugz - these were 100% my favourite - hot and tasty, we got the sauce on the side - a blue cheese and honey chilli affair. A good solid start . Wings wise the whisky/pepper sauce called and from the BBQ section ( and I generally dislike BBQ styles) Black Magic was a surprise standout!
There is extra sauce hiding at the bottom of the bowls and this was great scooped up with the nugz. Draft lager went down a treat and the fabulous mango vodka slushy is top.
Even my call to book - usually a dreaded thing - the person who answered the phone was super nice, friendly and importantly enthusiastic. A credit to the team. All staffers we met followed this theme and Wings was just what we hoped. 100 or so flavour choices so I suppose we will have to go back and try some more another time... 😉
b. b.
Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. 10/10 would eat again!

Best place ever to get good wings or nuggs. The decoration is also fun and quirky, but what's even better is the selection of sauces and trying to spot the references. Good milkshakes too. A must see if you're in edinburgh
L. M.
A genuine treat to visit, with helpful staff and amazing food. The personalised tables keep each returning visit fresh and new, and the dozens of sauces on offer allow for a new experience every time. A must visit for fans of pop culture, who want a great eating experience.
R. M.
Exceptional as always. Friendly staff incredible atmosphere and terrific food.
P. B.
It would be cruel to criticise a restaurant for having too much choice, but this place gets remarkably close. The underlying wings are fine but each of our sauces felt more experimental than curated, like a nine year old given free reign at a soda fountain.
K. M.
Place is never a disappointment - huge range of sauces, nicely cooked wings, growing selection of quality local beers. Not to mention that the entire joint is an evolving collection of eclectic decor - no matter your taste it cannot be described as boring.
D. R.
Amazing tasty wings! Cannot go wrong! Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. I would suggest you book in advance if possible though via phone or FB. Strongly recommend when visiting Edinburgh/ Royal Mile.
S. K.
Been here waaaay more than once, a must for anyone who's a chicken fan! Shame they don't do halloumi fries anymore but still awesome.
K. P.
Excellent food and service. Very unique and amazing atmosphere.
S. J.
Went to celebrate our 7th anniversary tonight! Wooow crazy delicious wings!! Super kind service and friendly! There is always something fun to look at as you sit inside! I know we won't be forgetting Wings anytime soon! 🍗😋💖
K. H.
I wish I lived in Scotland so I could go back and get more wings from here. They were so delicious and it was a fun environment to be in. Great place to meet 20 somethings if you're a traveler like I was.
F. S.
Wings 1 & 2 (slightly down the hill) are a great shout if you want to throw some chicken wings and delicious toppings down your neck. They also do Mac Attack mac and cheese. Around an amazing place.
T. S.
This place has never let us down. Great food great staff. There is no trip to Edinburgh without stopping here for food
J. H.
I wish there were more of these places. If you watch hot wings and wish you were on the show as well you should defo stop by here. The menu is extensive, the service was great and please, for the love of ... don't put your hands anywhere near your eyes when consuming these wings...
R. E.
Huge fan of PROPER wings, lived in Canada for over 10 years and havent found in Europe a place that matches Canadian/American wings until came here, this guys do it PROPER. Atmosphere is top game, service super friendly and knowledgeable, wings are killer, nice and sawwwcy, the real deal! Will come back to try more flavours. Keep up the amazing sh!t fellas! Peace
H. T.
Always a great spot for a quick lunch, very quirky hidden nicely off the Royal Mile
R. “. P.
Fantastic service. Very attentive.
Got a lovely booth on the balcony. (Space heated)
Top tier wings in Edinburgh 🏴 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Fab selection of cocktails & beer.
Cocktails were amazing! 😊🍹
☺🍹 lovely chilled, friendly atmosphere. 👌 will definitely be back.
Had the special ~ Wise guy 😋🍗 Delicious 🤤
R. S.
Very interesting place. Good chicken wings and a great variety of sauces. Great beer choice and a lot of 90 games street fighter sonic etc..
H. C.
What a place! Really nicely cooked wings (with some crispiness on the skin which I love) with an insane range of sauces! Had 4 bowls of wings with different flavours and all I want to do is keep trying more!
Plus, if you're a hardcore spice fan then they have a spice challenge that you can take on if you're feeling hard enough! Great atmosphere and lovely servers too! Will definitely be back
E. C.
We were on a time limit so had to rush our food down but the guy who served us got the food out in literally less then 10 mins, recommended us a bunch of cool places to visit and even let my partner eat her food which she picked she picked up on the way.
Great place and would come back and recommend in a heart beat!!! Also the wings were banging 👍
S. M.
Always amazing. The food is great and a very relaxed atmosphere. We've been twice in a 3 day trip! My favourite place to eat in Edinburgh.
N. H.
We still talk about these wings a month later. So many flavors all made in house with a fun vibe and great service!
g. D.
Great food and has lots in here even though it looks small from the outside it also worth spending the money on the food because it's cheep as chips
C. J.
Spectacular place. A bit dingy, but the food and service are great.
A.
The wings I had were fantastic and the waiter was really friendly. Only downside was the service wasn't attentive compared to most reviewers have mentioned, we were only seen to when we came in and then not again until the bill came, would of loved to of ordered more but didn't get the chance.
P. A.
This place was recommended to us and boy, we weren't disappointed. with a massive range of sauces and proper wings (like you get the whole wing and not half life most places give you) we had the best time. If I had the stomach capacity, I would have stayed there from dawn to dusk ... or however long they are open for! terrific place for a beer and wings with friends!!!
N. N.
Place is awesome, staff is awesome and wings.... Yeah awesome.
R. P.
I always said that if I opened a bar it would serve one thing and that thing would be wings. Well, Wings beat me to the punch and if I lived in Edinburgh would probably be here all the time.
B. F.
I went in here expecting just a few good wings and it pleasantly surpassed my expectations. The decorations are fun nods to pop culture mix in with some good humor. The staff is friendly and did an amazing job. They have a wide variety of interesting and delicious-sounding wings. I can only speak for the flavors I tried, but they were as delicious as they sounded.
Oh, and do yourself a favor and get one of their milkshakes. Best milkshake I've ever had, so incredible.
R. M.
Lovely place and good wings, worth a visit but a little cramped
A. H.
Great place, but small so worth booking a table if you can. Lots of geeky cool themed tables. Staff are great and wings are great!
A. P.
Came here randomly when on vacation. Best wings/sauce I've ever had in my life! I am from the U.S. so I've had many chicken wings in my days. Sauce selection was unbelievable also. I tried around 8 different sauces, and all were phenomenal.
Y. Z.
Amazing food and super nerdy decor. The choice of sauces is ridiculous and the sides are also delicious. Definitely my favourite place to go for chicken. Although lots of the sauces are spicy, if you can't handle the spice you can get a cooling dip on the side to counteract the spice so definitely go for it anyway! Cocktails are very nice aswell. Service was excellent.
R. W.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE. Its a busy wee place. Been multiple times and will be returning again when possible. There is a great selection of spices and sauces. And they have a nice scale of the spice level. Side note if you are not a fan of eating off the bone, they offer chicken nuggets and mozzarella sticks instead of wings.
M. B.
The 8 chilli wings made my friend cry, but not I - because I am 💪
Z. T.
Great place! Already been a few times, the wings are always good! I always get different sauces and it hasnt been a disappointment yet. The decor is quite funky too, they like their scifi movies. The ceiling is kind of low, and Im only 5'5! But highly recommended!
Z. J.
Amazing food, amazing vibes
C. F.
If you love wings then this is definitely the place for you! The menu is massive and you can get any type of wings you could ever want. The wings are all excellent and with different hotness ratings there are wings for every taste. I highly recommend booking a table in advance to avoid disappointment as it can get quite busy. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
G. “. G.
What a great little place to go with your mates, great food , great beer and absolutely brilliant staff , would highly recommend for people to visit this place. Next time we go , we are definitely getting a table with n64 to play Mario kart
t.
Would love to have Wings in Belfast. As good as any chicken wings I've ever had, perfectly cooked and crispy with a huge selection of sauces rated between 0 and 8 spice. I went for the blazing saddles (3) which was a tasty creamy ranch based sauce, and taps aff (5) a house hot sauce. The only problem is curtailing your greed as I could have sat there eating wings all night. The staff also seem to be colleagues and friends and sat outside could hear good banter between them and that came across in the service too as every one of them were friendly, helpful and enjoyed being there. Would highly recommend.
E. B.
This place absolutely rocks. The menu is simple, but offers loads of variety. Their sauces are on point and the prices are very affordable (even for students, like me!) I come here every time I'm in Edinburgh and recommend it to friends and family who visit. Located right off the royal mile, Wings makes a great place for a quick and satisfying lunch or dinner while touring the city
a. g.
I have been here several times and it is my go to when on a day off in Edinburgh. It does what it says on the tin. Excellent selection of sauces and the wings are great. The boozy milkshakes are phenomenal too. Highly recommended, it is only a small place so it is a good idea to book.
A.
Confession: I went here twice in two days it was so good.
At only £4.20 for 6 wings it's a good deal. Lots of flavours and sauces to choose from? Probably 50+ of them. I had 5 different flavours with a grand total of 30 wings (woops) and each one was as delicious as the last.
I recommend trying the milkshakes too as they are great.
The place is nicely decorated with lots of retro and pop culture things. We managed to get a table next to a ps2 and got to play that while eating, not something you would get anywhere else.
Staff were great and offered good recommendations for food. Will be visiting next time I go to Edinburgh!
T. L.
The place is quite awesome. Nice, funny service, cool decorations and interior. You can even play some PlayStation on one table. The wings itself are also good, but drowned in sauce. I would suggest ordering dry wings (jerked spice was very good) and ordering the sauce on the side. But that's personal preference. The sauces are not that hot as the names would suggest. Would recommend a visit!
Y. K.
I was here twice.
Once cause I was visiting Edinburgh and I love Chicken Wings.
It was great.
Second time, cause first time was great.
Unfortunately second time the place was very full and the staff wasn’t so friendly.
But the wings and drinks were still very good.
If you go there when it is full, just be patient and focus on how tasty your chicken wings will be.
If it’s full and you want good attention, better leave and come back another day.
E. K.
Cool place and if you love chicken wings or nuggets this is the place you just have to try out when you are in Edinburgh! Lots of different ways and dressings to choose from. Be aware of the strong spicy ones. :) love it that they only serve wings and focus on that. Would love to see this kind of restaurant back in Oslo. Fast service. And after I ordered my wings it was on my table faster then I could imagine. :) Happy aniversary today!!
G. E.
Just a short walk from the royal mile, away from crowds, relaxed atmosphere - tasty chicken bites and best chips, washed down with some beer. Reasonable prices.
K. G.
Great service, delicious wings! Make sure to make a reservation!! I visited on a Sunday evening and it was really busy. I sat on the terrace outside, which I didn’t mind. There was enough space to enjoy my meal. There was outdoor heating and the drinks were great. So I I kept warm and enjoyed the passers by. prices are reasonable and there are many many options for Wong flavours. I strongly recommend that you give this place a try.
M. W.
Great food but watch out for that suicide wings challenge! When your mouths not burning the other wings and great geeky atmosphere make it an awesome place for some awesome wings.
J. L.
Excellent, **large**, juicy and tasty wings! Ordering is simple: Select a flavour and whether you want wings or nuggets. The wings come in bowls of 3 so it is easy to choose multiple flavours. I want to stress how large the wings are because I have been to other chicken shops where the wings are absolutely tiny. The only downside is that the downstairs bit can get quite stuff during the summer months but that is a minor criticism.
J. P.
I have been to Wings twice during my short time in Edinburgh. The first time, I enjoyed a few of the huge range of sauces that they offer with the wings, including the hottest menu-ed sauce. The sauces tasted great and didn't lose out on taste for heat.
You get the full wing instead of just a wingette which was a nice surprise.
Naturally, I assumed I would be capable of tackling the 'Suicide Wings Challenge'. Oh how wrong I was! Try it if you have the balls, just don't plan anything in the future unless it involves sitting in your bathroom for the next 16 hours!
D. F.
Off the beaten track concealed down a close from the Royal Mile you'll find one of Edinburgh's hidden gems. A truly wondrous place filled with chicken, video games and more pop culture references than you can shake a stick at. The game is simple, 6 wings and around 50+ sauces/toppings for them to choose from. Often quite busy so book ahead to avoid disappointment! Very reasonably priced, good and interesting selection of booze to help you wolf down those wings. My most favourite place right after Disneyland.
A. H.
Besides all the wings you can eat, they also have an N64, GameCube, and original PlayStation that you can play about with. We spotted some folk playing Mario Kart on the N64, which was fun to watch.
In terms of the food itself, it was pretty good. There's a wide selection of sauces you can add to your wings, and they provide plenty of napkins for the inevitable mess. It was a nice and fun experience overall, and the atmosphere was unique and interesting.
L. G.
If you like spicy or BBQ chicken wings then this is your place! Simple consept. Chicken wings. Loads of different sauces. Good retro feel with games to play at your table and staff are very friendly. Could do with a larger selection of drink choices however.
S. M.
Went for a meal here with some friends and loved it.
The food is cheap and pretty easy to understand- if you don't like chicken wings you've gone to the wrong place! The atmosphere is casual and each table has it owns particular theme to it. This certainly adds to the charm of the place.
Please book ahead, especially if your planning on going at the weekend as it can get very busy very easily.
S. M.
Will come back each time I’m in Edinburgh. Great wings selections and it was both filling & scrumptious
M. W.
I'm normally too lazy to write a review, but I'm laying in bed in a food coma after eating these beauties. Can honestly say they're the best wings I've ever eaten, and the sauce selection is on point! 10/10
M. v. d. K.
It was fine but nothing very special. The wings were a bit bland. Specifically the dry rubs (we had two) tasted pretty much the same. The ones with sauce were a bit better but all in all I wouldn't recommend the food. There are better wings to be had in Edinburgh. The service was friendly though and the place looks decent.
H. H.
Good concept with a huge amount of marinades and sauces to compliment your wings. Found the quality of many of these to not be that great and don't think they truly mastered the craft of making good wings. Worth checking out as it is tasty, but could be so much better. I love sauce but there was too much sauce smothered over the wings even for me.
R. D.
I ate there so many times and still can’t believe HOW in the world you can make simple thing as chicken nuggets and wings so incredibly delicious…. If you fancy a sweet sweet chicken there is not better place to go than WINGS
A. L.
Fabulous. I had been moving towards being Vegan. No restaurant (and I've been to many) has place doubt in my mind until I dined at Wings! Crispy wings, not greasy, dipped In any number of sauces. Just excellent. Good price and staff are great!
T. C.
This place was pretty good for a wings place. There were a lot of choices for wings however it felt like the chicken was all prepared and then heated up. The sauces felt.likes they were added on afterwards which is alright but I prefer when the wings are specifically battered in the sauces.
I also may have no idea what I'm talking about. The wings were still tasty but I have a preference
W. A.
Must try 😋 one of its kind amazing taste variety of sauce to chose from various level of spice thrash and challenge your limits to be on wall of flames by trying there seriously spiced wings
A. A. W.
recommended place for chicken wings and nugget with special sauce.. 👍
L. W.
Words won't do this place justice. The wings are perfect, crispy, tender and quality portions. The sauces are straight up dynamite, tiger sauce, shticky, taps aff, Skywalker...just tonnes of amazing choices. The suicide challenge comes with a much needed warning...wash yo handsbefore ye pee. The venue is perfect, cozy, nerdy, consol filled and chill. Great choice of drinks & some funky staff. A must visit, then again, then again and then a bunch more. 10/5 stars.
P. O.
Amazing wing flavors and great overall vibe! If you're ever in Edinburgh and are craving wings, this institution is a MUST visit!
C.
Amazing selection of sauces although some overlap slightly from a taste point of view. Smells a little strange when you go in but the wings really are good. Crispy skin and interested combinations of sauces. Have been several times and would go back
J. E. K.
The menu consists of wings served with a wide variety of sauces mostly named after references from a hugely popular sci-fi franchise. These can be washed down with a good selection of alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. The place is a tribute to popular culture as every table section belongs to its own franchise, be it Harry Potter, Jurassic Park or Predator. Some tables even have access to game consoles so you can enjoy a round or fifteen of Super Smash Bros. Just remember to use the napkins provided before gaming, as the meal can be an exceptionally messy experience! All in all a great place for friends who want a no frills meal and relaxed atmosphere.
D. W.
The wings were okay, you can tell they’re frozen. If I were to guess form tasting them; they put some flour on them, then fry them and drown them in sauce. As nice as a lot of the sauces were, the bowls the wings are served in are just flooded with it. Almost like you’re drinking this spicy sauce with some chicken. It really fills you up and you feel very bloated after. The service was a bit meh. The bloke we had just sat us down ran through the prices and left. We didn’t really understand how it worked at all. The venue is pretty cool. I liked the art and lights. The menus were awesome! The range of sauces they have and the funky mottos they have for them. They have buckets that you throw the bones into once you’ve devoured the all the chicken from the wing. LOVED THIS! Made me feel like a Viking feasting with my fellow bretheran.
Would I eat her again? Probably not for the price lay out and service.
However, I’d say it’s worth checking out if you’re not from Edinburgh, as it’s very different and fun.
M. B.
Really good wings, friendly staff and cool surroundings.
Each portion of wings is £4.20. You get 3 or 6 wings (depending how you count them) and a choice of over 50 toppings. Also plenty of sides to chose from and a selection of beers.
Came 4 years ago and quality was still the same on my visit last week.
A. B.
Great wings! We ordered 2 plates of wings each of various different flavours (There are so many to choose from!) as well as a couple of sides. The decoration and music is very cool.
T. A.
We were visiting from the US and to this day this is still some of the best wings we’ve ever had. Plenty of beer options and an awesome atmosphere! A must try if you’re visiting.
E. S.
A good place to eat is usually a place that does one thing and does it well. Wings excels. Could have spent all day there going through the different sauce varieties but a man can only handle so many wings of such size and quality.
M. M.
One of the best restaurants in Edinburgh - the wings are always beautifully cooked and the variety of flavours is unreal. Not to be missed!
P. S.
Excellent place if your a chicken wing lover (and for anyone who dose not they do all menu options as chicken nuggets).
Really love the decore and the atmosphere. Our table (pin up table) had a PS2 that worked!
Really like the 3 pages or sauce and wing flavours for the wings! A definite must!
S. P.
What a surprise to find this wee place nestled in between the Royal Mile and the Cowgate!
Never before have I experienced chicken wings like I had done there at Wings. There are what seemed like over 50 different sauces for your wings. From hot sauces to cool sauces and even a few boozy ones, you're sure to find some favourites. I was nicely filled after ordering two portions, although they do also sell some non-wing foodstuffs.
The restaurant itself is a gorgeous homage to pop culture and the staff there are amazing. Definitely recommend!
C. R.
It's not the classiest place to eat, and the amount of spicy sauces they have give the place a really unique smell. Don't let that put you off, it's worth it for the food (and it's really cheap too). There's about 50 different sauces for the wings, and if you go in a group expect to pick a sauce each & share. Chips were excellent.
S. B.
Very tasty, and affordable, great selection of sauces. From zero to oh my god! Def worth a visit
J. T.
Fabulously quirky place, utterly bizarre but awesome. Every type of wings you can ever imagine - and more. Around 100 different sauces and toppings to choose from. Delicious milkshakes too! Fast, friendly service, live music downstairs. Fairly cramped through.
A. B.
Wings is Amazing!
I describe it as when I was younger and you used to go to your friend's house to play games, watch films and eat wings or nuggets.
They have all the old consoles and games you need. They have Mario kart on the N64.
The food is nice, it's all wings, nuggets or dippers.
The sauce selection is extensive. So many to choose from and their pop-culture references are great.
Definitely reccomend!
E. K.
This place is such a novelty but man, do they do good wings. The selection of sauces is so extensive that I'm sure you'll find something for everyone.
We tried every spice level, except for the challenge one and they were amazing! If yoy love wings with beer in a very novelty setting, this is the place to go.
Just a note, we couldn't get any phone reception in this place so just bear that in mind.
A. B.
Been here a few times, most recently went with a group of friends. So first of all I'd say that this is not first date food! The menu is amazing with an insane number of sauces, which are mostly brilliant. The wings are really good, but don't expect anything fancy. Wings come in plastic bowls and there's a metal bucket on the table for the chicken bones and the mountain of napkins you will inevitably use.
Despite the name wings isn't the only thing they serve, also can get chips and strips (which are deep fried tortilla strips) which are great! Especially for making the most of your sauce.
Staff are pretty quirky and sometimes it can take a little while to get served, especially if you're sitting downstairs. But it's worth the wait especially for only £3.50 a bowl!!
So yeah basically it's a really fun place (nerf gun war was going on last time I went), but it is quite different and I think you might just need to see it for yourself before you'll know if it's for you! I like it but my boyfriend and all his friends absolutely love it!!
P. S.
What a fantastic wee restaurant! The choices are numerous and the decoration in the place is amazing. The service as fast and very friendly. It’s absolute must if you’re a fan of wings and or sci-fi themed decorations.
Also it’s very affordable. We shared three bowls and chips and were stuffed.
Make sure you visit.
A. T.
This restaurant mindblew me. So many choices of different sauces for the wings, we ended up ordering three different types and loved them all! If I had the chance I’d go back and try every single variation of wings. Not only the food was incredible, but also the atmosphere, with all its nerdy decorations, and fun naming in the menus!
D. B.
If you like chicken wings then look no further. This place has a tremendous selection of wings on their menu, nice beer and all at a good price. The restaurant is decorated in a science fiction setting with various video games consoles to play on and a lot to look at. They serve food right up to 10:30pm and service was very good.
D. F.
Really lovely little place. Quite out there, but the wings are to DIE for. Only thing I'd say is maybe too much choice, and you never really know what the specials are as they're on a board that is based at the bar and you're not there until you pay. Very quick service and halloumi fries are excellent.
M. K.
Huge variety of wings sauces. Very good value for money (it is actually cheap compared to other restaurants in the area).
The taste of the wings is not that great (they seem a bit over fried) and the place smells funky because of the mix of smells from the sauces (it actually cut my appetite a bit, they should really work on the ventilation).
N. A.
Great wings! So many variety of flavor!
A. P.
I love this place!
The staff is always lovely, wings are tasty and arrive fast, and the place is just great!
Even if you're not nerd-geeky like, you'll love just because of the tasty wings (they also have some sides, strips are my favorite). In summer they have the outside terrace, if you're lucky to have some sun there it will make your hole week :)
g. h.
Awesome wings, wicked venue and great tunes!! Couldn’t ask for more. Decent price to!
T. C.
Absolutely loved this place. Wings were nice and crispy and the range of sauces were unreal - so inventive! I will probably go back tomorrow as well... And this is coming from a guy that went to school in Buffalo, New York (birthplace of the buffalo wing!)
*bonus* old movies are playing in the downstairs dining area and there are video game consoles set up at many of the tables with retro games. Awesome.
N. P.
Fabulous, fun place. Great food, cool decor, good beer selection. A real gem just off the royal mile. So glad wings survived the last 18 months. Visited today and it was better than ever!
S. W.
Overall this place is geared towards a younger student crowd if the decor is anything to go by. I thought it was quite expensive at £4.50 for 3 very dry wings. Great selection of sauces. Nice friendly staff.
L. “. B.
10/10, seriously considering getting another flight back to Edinburgh just to come and eat here again. Delicious wings with more sauces than you can shake a stick at. If you're a fan of spicy stuff I can strongly recommend the Taps Aff sauce, really tasty.
C.
Great staff. Great place for beers, food and games with friends, but you need to like wings!
R. N.
Wasn't sure on the pay per bowl set up compared to some of the all you can eat, but the choice of rubs and marinades are phenomenal. 2 bowls of wings and a portion of fries to mop up the sauce is substantial enough for most, although a bowl of boneless nuggets for me finished the meal off nicely. Hidden gem.
A. B.
Book to avoid disappointment, or go at an odd time. This place is super popular for a good reason! Inside is really awesome, a great place to bring friends. Their milkshakes are also great
H. F. H.
Great place and good atmosphere! Chicken nuggets on point with all the different varieties of sauces.. when it comes to wings i would say it was a 1 star out of 5.. they were dry and chewy with more bone and coating than actual chicken meat.. sad
Y. W.
If you like pain this is your place, but even if you can't stand the heat you will find something.
J.
Amazing selection of Wings. Although I lacked the courage to tempt the Hot Wing Challenge, the lad sitting next to me made an attempt and succeeded. Not for the faint of heart but would recommend the maple bacon wings for those of you with a sweet tooth!
A.
The staff were lovely, the food was good. Vegetarian options weren't great. You need to be a fan of spice, even the least spicy wings had a kick to them. They could do with turning on the heating. Great for groups, they dont mind splitting a bill.
J. O.
Wings wings wings. So many choices of sauces, at an incredible price. Personal favourite was the blue sauce one, which we got as an extra on the side as well, but also tequila and whiskey ones were intriguing! We managed to sit outside as the weather was amenable, and service was very attentive and friendly.
D. D.
Whoever thought of this place and the idea behind all the different sauces was probably high as a kite, but of you're a fan of chicken wings, be sure to hit this place up. I tried 6 kinds of sauce and they were all delicious. Will eat here again when I make a return trip.
S. W.
Fantastic range of flavours and options. Our bioking was messed up but they went out there way to accommodate our party. Great service and a friendly atmosphere. The outside benches were great, outdoors eating combined with people watching.
t. f.
Amazing wings and Nugs as usual and some fab new flavours.
We also had Churros which were so good.
J. G.
Fantastic food - if you're a fan of chicken wings. Very diverse menu. The real attraction is the atmosphere - pop culture references abound with retro gaming machines downstairs and sci-fi characters plastering almost every surface. One of my favourite Edinburgh gems.
C. H.
6 Wings or 7 nuggets with the sauce of your desire for just 4.2£! 💖🐥
The fries are also great, specially for dipping when there’s some sauce left.
Cocktails could improve... so I’d recommend drinking anything else, like milkshakes which are expensive but they just are delicious!
G. P.
Nice cozy atmosphere and great decorations with the different themes on the tables. Fair prices. Friendly service. The wings are ok. Certainly not exceptional, but worth their money. All in all a great place for a quick meal.
S. B.
Everytime I come back to Edinburgh I go to this place. I loooove it! They have wings, nuggets and mac and cheese and you can choose to add to them the sauce that you prefer (there are a looot, with different spicy level, even not spicy at all). The sauces are really tasty! The place it's so great, with geeky decoration, every table has different stuff (Rick and Morty, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Jurassic Park, Stranger things...). Also, the staff is so kind.
N. J.
Lovely wings. Crispy and delicious. Nice place that's tucked away with good vibes!
F. B.
Cool place and good food. Each table has a special theme, we sat at the "where's Willy-table. You can choose spicyness on your wings from 1-10. We tried 2 and it was spicy enough!
M. P.
Fresh and tasty wings. Just amazing. All the different kinds of sauces is just very exciting to keep trying in turn!
l. w.
So many sauces to choose from! For those of us who can appreciate hot and spicy foods, Wings will give you a kick! With a rating system nest to each sauce to guide you so you don't get in over your heed!
S. O.
They have a wide variety of sauces to choose from, which accomodate a variety of food sensitivities. There are three fill wings per bowl, ideal for sharing. The venue itself is trendy, with comics, graphic novels, and games themes throughout.
D. B.
Amazing find great food and a great atmosphere
J. M.
I've now been a few times and the place is brilliant. As a chicken wing enthusiast, Wings, is a must visit. I did try the hot wing challenge and I'm not even ashamed to admit that the "suicide sauce" defeated me. Fair play to anyone who successfully completes it!
M. R.
amazing wings (boneless nuggets as well) of all kinds of flavours. great staff and fun decor.
t. j.
Chicken wings with a multitude of dried seasoning and tasty sauces. Superb.
R. M.
Wings is a restaurant which only serves chicken wings (well, it does other sides too, but you go there for wings, otherwise what's the point?). It is decorated in a cool, down to Earth style. Each table has a different theme, including Doctor Who, Jurrassic Park, Comic Books, and Star Trek. There are other tables downstairs, but I never went downstairs so can;t tell you about it!
A group of four of us went to Wings before going to a gig and it is perfect for pre-gig, or pre-pub, or pre-club eats. You don't get overfaced is the point I'm making, leaving room for energetic fun. You get six chicken wings for about £4 if I remember correctly, served in a paper bowl.
The wings are fresh, succulent, and cooked well. There are probably 100+ different sauce options, and every one I tasted was excellent. These range from really spicy to tame, so there is definitely something for everyone. Make sure everyone is ready to use their hands - it gets messy. Wings is probably not a great first date venue!
My girlfriend and I also had one of the alcoholic milkshakes each (mixing two of my favourite things) - the rum and Oreo shake. It was really, REALLY good.
We'll certainly be going back.
H. L.
The food is pretty good, the plates/boxes are a bit of a pain. I know in American BBQ places you get a wider disposable plate so easier to get to the sauce.
L. C.
This place is so cool and so incredibly affordable. We went there following a reccomendation from the staff at our hostel... And went back the next day cos we liked it so much. You've got chicken wings, and like 60 different sauces to top them, some mild, some spicy, some dry seasonings... Each bowl of 6 wings costs 4.20 pounds which is amazing cos u end up stuffed. We tried royale cheese, jamaican me crazy, garlic pepper, nacho wings and imperial chicken and they were all delicious. Some sides to choose from as well. A weird but nice selection of beers which are a little bit too expensive in my opinion but thats the only negative thing I can say. We were served really quickly and the staff was correct. The ambiance and decoration are amazing!! Will most certainly repeat when we go back to Edimburgh.
A. S. (.
Great fun place for a spice food treat. I would recommend to everyone to order your choices on chicken nuggets not wings. The is very little meat on the wings and they are often over cooked
E. P.
Fantastic little place in Edinburgh , would highly recommend. Everything we ordered was so tasty! Shame there's not one down south! Me and my husband loved it! I don't recommend places that often, but had to with this place! If you love chicken go here!
A.
Massive selection, and cooked very well as the chicken is still juicy. They do the whole wing which was a surprise, as well as games consoles for a table of players. Great place, if you read this, you have to go here at least once!
C. D. D.
Good place to stop by if you like wings and nuggets.
H. T.
Cool gaming theme, amazing wings and relaxed vibe. Good location and really reasonably priced. Would definitely return.
叢.
They are going strong, they have brilliant people serving them chickens and this is still very much how I would like to dine out with a couple of friends. More environmentally conscious with 2 waste buckets: 1 for food one for everything else.
The bowls are now £4.20 per six wings. Still a good(ish) price, but a stark difference from the original £2.50 in their pre-Fishmarket time. Mind you that was 4 years ago. They've become more professional, a proper (but fun!) restaurant where the wings still rule and golden oldies like me can still find the good times we so dearly crave.
I'd like to visit more often, no scratch that, I'd like to have a camping bed near the kitchen and become their intern sauce tester.
Yes, even though they may look more pro and raised their prices, they are ruling the roost.
Them Wings Guys rock!
S. H.
Great geeky decor and reasonable prices. Would've liked to have been able to see the prices on the menu as well tho, now just saw them on a chalk board as we were leaving. The wings themselves were a little dry, and weren't tossed in the dressing very well. Very fast service.
M. f.
Great atmosphere, good food and great value for money. My only gripe is that not every table has a console to play with. It is made clear however when booking, but when your sat next to the table with goldeneye playing, you do get a little envious. If your going to go make sure you book the right table, I wouldn't suggest just turning up without booking as you may not even get a table that evening. All in all a good evening of food & fun.
K. K.
Holly smokes that's a lot of choices of sauces ! Defenetly will be coming back here! If you plan of visiting I suggest you book a table before hand !
C. C.
Best chicken wings I've ever tried. You can choose from a billion different sauces, some of them radioactively spicy (good luck with those). You can play old fashioned videogames in some of the tables and the decoration focuses on comics. Awesome restaurant!
C. R.
Great selection of wings that come in some very tasty sauces. For the most part all are great, some are hit and miss.
For six wings it costs £4.20, which isn't expensive, but it could be cheaper considering the bone to meat ratio, and that these are bulk made wings on plastic plates with a pre-made sauce thrown on top.
D. D.
What a place to be at. Book in advance if you want a table else do a takeaway. This place offers wings deep fried with various sauces and is to die for. Nice beers, friendly staff and table names that will keep you wondering. A must visit. Who doesn't like beer and wings
S. L.
Amazing variety of wings - loved all that we selected and its great having small dishes so you can share loads. Mouth is burning but 5 out of 5 - will definitely be back!
e.
Always Fantastic Food, Staff,Drinks and Atmosphere Relaxed and in no way petentous. A huge range of wings and a buttload of geekary and if your feeling unfulfilled after eating, drinking, laughing , playing Mario cart or cards against humanity then you need to try the Suicide wings if they don't burn your ass up like they did mine after just 1 wing. You will be Welcomed to the Wall of Flame! Great time every time I have been love it and as that was not enough at just £3.50 a bowl is a better priced night than anywhere else!
t. c.
Great food with a Variety of options with various levels of spice, great for groups and fans of nerd culture
S. Y.
If you like cheap, tasty chicken wings and a fast and efficient service then look no further.
The place you go with your friends for a no frills, bowls of chickens and can of beer. Expect sticky fingers which will leave you wanting more.
Wings has over 50 different types of flavours of wings, together with carb-based sides at £3.50 for six wings, you really can't go more simpler than this, especially with a group of friends.
V. S.
Been wanting to visit this place for a while. If you're a fan of hot wings you will not be disappointed!
R. L.
Good service, recommend booking (although they fitted us in outside which was fine), tasty big chicken wings, loads of sauce options, tortilla fries great for dipping. Pop culture decor, does what it says on the tin really!
I. L.
Fantastic wings, great sauces, and really good fries. 100% best wings in town.
I. T.
Excellent evening out at Wings! Great beer, great food and really friendly staff. We booked a gaming table too so a night of N64 fun was totally fun was had by all!
N. P.
It only sells chicken wings, chips and nuggets from what I remember. But oh dear they do it well. Honestly the best place we ate whilst visiting Scotland. Really hard to find as many side streets but you need to go if you like the above. 50+ selections of sause and marinades. Absolutely brillaint
B. W.
Sooo GOOD! One of my favourite places in Edinburgh. Impressive and delicious sauce selection (the Canadian mix up, *drool*), friendly staff, super chilled vibe with throw-back, pop culture decor. Back in Aus now and missing this place terribly.
M. J.
Wings is my favourite wings restaurant, although after being that tonight I found out they have changed the wings from 6 delisceous easy to eat little wings to 3 big awkward lanky ones... I would be reluctant to return if they aren't changed back to the originals. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Once things are back to normal I'll be back with a 5 star review.
M. T.
If you come to Edinburgh and you like wings you need to head to wings. Hidden, yes it is more or less hidden, just off the Royal Mile is the small unique chicken wing emporium. If you are with a group best idea is to call ahead to avoid disappointment or rumbling tummy's. They have a very wide range of chicken wing toppings from dry rubs to hot spice and mouth watering marinara. They have small range of drinks but enough to suit everyone. If you don't want to be seen eating chicken out of polystyrene bowl and putting your bones in a communal bowl, this may not be for you, but trust me you are missing out! Prices are tiny and you will be stuffed for £10.
l. r.
Amazing service, really cool little place with amazing wings/fries/shakes and mac and cheese!
K. A.
Fun place and delicious food .. always visit here when I'm in Edinburgh .
S. M.
Great fun place for wings. The setting is pretty clever and interesting with all the themed tables and retro pop references. Menu is quite extensive with a lot of variety and this service is fast and friendly.
A. H.
Good for stag do, beer nights, bravado chilli stakes, its tounge and cheek menu and quirky decor. Not a place for a tasty family meal.
C. B.
Went here for late night food. Kings of wings... So much choice of wing flavours. I was in for a bit of spice and wasn't disappointed... lovely job! Salivating just thinking of the food.
E.
I wanted to love this place. Chicken, dranks, underground den vibez, what could go wrong? Things started well enough. Overcome with sauce choices and possibilities, we ordered and sat happily in anticipation - we even had a ps2 to play at our table, rad! But then the food came. And in the bowl was 3 wings, instead of the 6 printed on the menu. Once questioned, apparently this is "3 double wings" which cut up would equal 6....ahh, ok?!? To be honest, it wouldn't have been such a big deal if our server just mentioned it before we ordered. Then we would've ordered enough food. But they didn't and when we asked, they were incredibly rude for the rest of the night. And you know that feeling when you're hungry and excited then the food comes and it looks pitiful, you just feel so disappointed and your collective group mood nose dives. And then you get attitude from the server, so you actually feel uncomfortable staying a second longer after your meal. Yeah. Basically, if you go it is THREE WINGS NOT SIX WINGS. Order enough to feed yourself. Godspeed.
P. G.
Hands down the best chicken wings I've ever had. Absolutely top notch sauces, staff were super friendly and loved the querky, sci fi decorations
F. F.
Wings no spicy enough to be called "sizzling"
Decent price, nice atmosphere if you're a soyboy or hipster
Seems like a good place to go half drunk with some munchies, but don't expect to be full unless you get two or more orders of wings
A. G.
Good food and amazing staff. The two waiters took time to speak to me and write down a list of recommendations for places to visit during my time in Edinburgh. This is the type of customer service that all restuarants should strive for.
r. m.
If chicken wings are you thing then this is the place to go in edinburgh. Hidden just off the royal mile, wings is a bit like walking into a student flat with posters and general paraphenalia decorating the walls. But the wings, the wings are good and they are plentiful as well, there are endless options of what you can have on your wings either dry rub or sauces with varying heat levels as well ( I stuck to low level heat, I like my mouth to function as normal) The staff are super friendly and is definitely worth a visit. There is also a super hot wings challenge which 2 guys were attempting when we visited, I never saw if they completed it but by the pained looks on their faces Im pretty certain they didnt!
G. U.
Dry Rub or Sauce on your tasty tasty wings. Be prepared for some heat! Fast becoming a must go to place for Edinburgh folk. One of those, found down a back alley treats that edinburgh does like nowhere else.
H. M.
This is me and my friends favourite place to meet the food is amazing they have spicy and non spicy options also always helpful and very fast service. Looks really cool inside my only issue is they need to clean the tables a bit better adter each customer sometimes it is very sticky.
F.
Just the best wings I've ever had in my life and a great atmosphere
N. M.
This is a great Edinburgh haunt. Tucked in between the Royal Mile and the Cowgate, Wings is cool. It feels like you're hanging out in a comic book lover's ideal home. The range of chicken wings is un-rivaled in Edinburgh. From varying levels of Chili sauce, to BBQs, dry rubs, Tequila-flavoured wings...all the classics are there. There's a selection of about 40 different sauces and flavours, there's also a few sides, and veggie options for non-wings fans. To accompany your tasty wings you can order some beers to cool your palate...Red Stripe anyone? The staff are helpful and friendly. There is a basement which you can hire for larger parties and events, great idea for birthdays etc.
A fun place to visit; somewhere a little different, great for a casual bite to eat.
B. M.
Excellent wings. Wonderful staff. Crazy amount of sauces. Good craft beer. Geeky/pop culture decor. I love this place.
A.
Great atmosphere, food & staff. And not just great chicken wings but games consoles! I couldn't ask for more. And if you're feeling wild, they offer a 'Wing's' challenge. I dare you!
B. M.
Wings is amazing. A huge menu that caters to everybody, the vibe of the place is really informal and relaxed, and there are loads of games consoles and what not too. Ideal if you're in to great food and nerdy stuff.
B. L.
Love this place. Great wings, good beers, great atmosphere and really reasonably priced.
S. C.
Best wings in Edinburgh!
Loads of toppings from mild to seriously hot, and then there's the challenge (which I regretfully passed).
Great rum selection too! Mean dark and stormy.
A. R.
Favourite restaurant in Edinburgh from now on! Great wings, sauces, chips, everything tastes amazing! And the price is great too, you won't be left hungry.
G. H.
Had honey mustard and the genghis khan chicken wings. Must say that they are one of the best wings that I have tasted all my life! But they do have a lot of choices for the different sauce to complement with the wings. Quaint little place located in a small alleyway, went there during the first day but raring to go again!
G. M.
Straightforward and simple... Tasty chicken wings in a bowl with a very wide variety of sauces. Wouldn't recommend the Suicide Sauce challenge however, it really is as brutal as they suggest!
A. M.
we went so hubby could attempt the suicide wing challenge...Attempt being the operative word. he'd been in training for months increasing his resilience to chilli sauce up to 1million on the Scoville scale....this place annihilated him completely. enter the challenge at your own risk...he was BAD after...me and the kids on the other hand had a lovely time, chicken Nuggs and wings were gorgeous, Game cube console for the kids to play on while their dad melted at other end of the table. my son said the fancy milkshake was gorgeous...til his dad nicked it to try and controll the burning...on a whole we had a hilarious time. if you do the challenge you are badly and it's your own fault, don't expect sympathy, you do have to sign a medical liability waiver BE WARNED!!! 🤣💥
N. P.
Booking mandatory. The idea is simple and amazing. Tasty wings, lovely place, nice staff, and beer. Each flavour is different, can't wait to try them all.
S. A.
You order pots of 6 wings or nuggets and then choose your sauce from scale of 1 mild to 5 hot or there is an even hotter challenge. Very messy and gets a bit samey but would still recommend. Watching Thundercats episodes and playing retro consoles while you eat is neat
M. B.
It's really hit or miss - it's not elegant, fancy, or particular clean, but if you like chicken wings and beer, it's excellent. 3 stars as you'll either love it or hate it. For me, it's not pretentious or preppy so I enjoy it, but after 3 visits it's not really appealing anymore.
T. D.
If you like wings get down there, something for everyone, hundreds of flavours and the boozy milkshakes are ace!
D. H.
Cool little place hidden off the royal mile. Great selection of sauces and all pretty tasty! The staff were very very good! Relaxed and cool and always on hand! A hidden gem!
N. J.
Honestly one my personal favourite places in Edinburgh and if you like wings this has to be on your list!
F. W.
Great wee place. Masses of great chicken wing choices, good beer, great staff, reasonable prices and we keep coming back for more. Think we've been here over 20 times now! The place in Edinburgh for wings.
J. M.
I loved wings when it 1st opened. Having lived on the states for a long time it was lovely to find somewhere to have good wings and cold beer! Fast forward 18 months and it's ok. Prices have increased and food quality has decreased! It's ok
A. D.
The best wings ever and the best wait staff. Delicious and juicy wings and the staff are attentive and super friendly.
M. T.
Amazing!! Visited for the first time after lockdown and the food, staff, service was just as great as it always has been.
The staff were following all of the government guidelines and made it such a great visit.
Go support them!!
J. L.
Good quality chicken , only £4.50 a bucket of wings or nuggets. A laaaaarge range of sauce to choose from :) . Service was great as well. Will be back!
S. S.
I like the simplicity of the menu for this restaurant - chicken wings & drinks. The theme of decor for the restaurant is pulp fiction, contemporary characters & rock bands. Service was good too
C. G.
Hot sauce now runs through my veins. I have become death, destroyer of beer and wings. Go here. Book early if its Friday or Saturday. If you're lucky you'll get the N64 table.
J. C. M.
Great wings with many different tasty sauces to try. Speedy service with great staff as well. Will definitely come back.
B. B.
if u like chicken this is the place to go, amazing choice of flavours and sauces. It's down a alleyway so you have to have a look for it. great quirky place for a quick bite.
J. L.
This place is fantastic! I almost do not want to review it so it does not get even busier and I cannot go again!! Just keep the wings coming, so many different sauces to choose from, and if you can, get yourself a table downstairs...you will not be disappointed!
L. B.
Whatever your flavour. They got it. Great taste, great prices, good choice of drinks too! A little gem hidden away with a good sense of deco for those who are into TV and film. My reason to come back to Edinburgh
G. R.
Man I still trying to figure out what they added to the Deliciuss Wings sauce, its delicious hahaha
R. F.
Best wee gem in the whole of Edinburgh always came here for birthday or for a hangover scran. Staff always dead lovely and chatty. Also the Dave nuggets are *chefs kiss*
K.
Incredible place, many sauces to choose, cheap and with a very cool decoration. I will repeat for sure !!
T. C.
Honestly, the best wings I've ever had and its a must everytime i'm in Edinburgh. Cool atmosphere with retro games and good times!
M.
Amazing, quirky little restaurant covered in fun pop culture references. Theres a huge variety of rubs/sauces for the wings and a good selection of sides. The price is really resonable for what you get.
j.
Fantastic chicken wing place, so many sauce and dressings you will find something you love. The sci-fi theme is exquisite and they have retro games consoles in the basement
A. A.
Wings and drinks, board games and retro console games. Wide selection of wings to choose from and reasonable prices. The chips are decent too. It's a nice place for lunch.
L. M.
Amazing as always! Hands down favourite place to eat in Edin
C. P.
Such a weird but inviting place. Such a massive range of flavours of 'wings'. Super friendly staff and well priced. We were sat at the Where's Wally table, highly recommended.
A. B.
Amazing food, great selection of flavours and a number of excellent beers to go with the wings. The place had a great atmosphere and there are consoles downstairs to play games while you wait for the food!
S. K.
If you love chicken wings or a unique experience, this is the place to go. Chicken wings in a wide variety of flavours and themed tables make it great for eat and spending time with friends.
M. E. P.
I am not a particular fun of eating wings... but I have to say this salses are amazing. And the decoration is awesome.
I highly recommend this place.
A.
My fav place in Edinburgh 😍
J. S.
Would have been five stars but the service at our table was a massive let down. Seemed to have been forgotten throughout the night. Other tables around us seemed well attended to though. Will be back and hopefully service well be better next time round.
L. H.
Fantastic wings, too many sauces to choose from! Great decor, we were sat at the Star Trek table, very cosy, would recommend booking!
I. C.
The fried wings and dough strips are great, but the sauces are mind blowing!
L. C.
wings. if you don’t like them, then leave. that was pretty much the sentiment of our server who was as attentive as he was dismissive. (we agreed that this was just part of his charm, although he might have just hated our bobble hats!)
chicken wings in any of the 80 odd sauces! tbh i found that if you spot one ingredient you like the following 5 were that + extras. so actually, in spite of being the most indecisive person on the planet, it didn’t take long to pinpoint choices. plain wings themselves are nothing special (and we secretly loved the 'non-wing' chenga - deep fried tortilla with a huge chunk of cheese in it) but the novelty of throwing bones in a bucket and getting your hands sticky made it much more fun.
down a back alley off the royal mile this quirky, odd shaped little place - geeked out with star trek/dalek gamer paraphernalia - is 100% getting a return visit.
E. W.
Good environment and decoration .. Wings with good sauce
S. T.
Have been to this place more times I can count! Great staff, fried chicken with a huge range of amazing sauces!
Cool vibe downstairs with video games
Would recommend
M. B.
A wee hidden treasure in the centre of Auld Reekie. Very basic yet very varied at the same time. The range of hot sauces is huge and very unique with a distinctly Scots take. The service is informal but attentive, and the decor is quite the geeks paradise for lovers of both modern and classic scifi tv shows and comics. There's a massive Rick & Morty pair of heads as you walk in the door... what's not to love about that?
I'll be back...
M. F.
First time back since the last lockdown. Delicious food, fantastic service! Favourite place to go in Edinburgh
B. H.
Fantastic atmosphere, reasonably priced wings, great sauces for the wings, and great beer. The beer is obviously a plus because how can you have a good wing place without good beer?
B. (.
Great food, inexpensive, awesome artwork and friendly staff. The staff are clearly passionate and the selection of wings is phenomenal. Reasonable selection of drinks and the choice of games and board games is neat.
M. D.
This is wings on a whole new level!! Lots of great choices and tasty. Staff were friendly but give you space to enjoy
J. G.
Interesting food! Big wings, nice sauces.
L. U.
The wings are great, and their choice is absolutely endless, I love the style and It really makes me want to return, my only complaint would be the lighting. I was very tired when I visited and the place was dimmly lit which made me want to fall asleep more.
P. R.
Wings Edinburgh invites you into it's parents basement where you can watch "Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus" on its huge telly and play on it's N64. If you ask nicely it'll even cook you chicken wings and bring you beer and rum.
The menu is a selection of "stuff to put on wings".
Pick a few and order.
Bowls of 6 wings sporadically appear with the aforementioned stuff on.
Consume with libation of choice.
Buy more wings.
b. h.
Best chicken wings in Edinburgh
m. h.
I can never fault this amazing little restaurant. Absolutely love this place.
k. c.
Amazing ambiance and great sauces!
S. C.
Geek and delicious! Just make sure to go early/not busy days, otherwise you better call to reserve a table, it's super popular! They do takeaways!
I. S.
Best chicken wings person can ask for, video games and board games to choose from everywhere, nice atmosphere and helpful staff. The only thing that's not there is reception and WiFi, but when you have amazing food in a great company it doesn't matter ;-)
L. W.
A lot of choices for wings sauce. I really like the atmosphere, drink list and wings list. The staff that serve us that night was unfriendly cant be bother to answer question.
D. K.
Reasonable price. Best chicken wings in edinburgh. A good selectionof sauces. If you want to eat something chicken and something spicy, this is the ideal place for it in edinburgh.
A. J. U.
Delicious! Zebra sauce and Brown Sugah are my fave. It's a shame people don't look after the games and so the PS2 has only 1 working remote. 😥
W. H.
Food is great, drinks are cheap, but the service is pretty poor. Once food was dropped off, that was it, no follow up to see if we wanted anything else or more drinks. Had to go and ask twice for more drinks and the bill
T. B.
Great chicken nuggets with a mix of sauces, spicy and mild. Great atmosphere
P. G.
Great variety of sauces.
K. M.
Omfg I love everything about this place.
So many different types of wings to try, yet to be disappointed in any of them.
Staff and atmosphere is super chill and prices are unreal for what you get
E. G.
Tried the level 3 and 4. It was really hot and spicy.
j. L.
Great food wings chicken with lots of flavours even have a hot food challenge and staff are all cool every one off them
J. B.
The price is steep for three wings, the dry rubs all taste the same, we came back after two years and it had gone downhill since last time. Much better last time this time was nothing special.
T. M.
Fantastic place. Very quirky. Delicious food. Delicious drink options too.
M. M.
Ace place
Fab deco
Great staff
Great beers
Only thing could fault the toilets were tiny!
B. “. C.
What a great little gem.
An absolutely absurd selection of wing flavours and all delicious.
k. k.
Cool hangout place for the grads... Chicken wings were amazing. Ordered the oota and house special .. both were good ... Liked the tortilla fries as well
S. T.
Cheap delicious food. Menu consists of chicken wings with any sauce you can imagine. Great decor particularly for those of the geeky persuasion.
H. G.
This place is the bomb! General geekiness upstairs, gamer heaven downstairs!
They have an n64, SEGA Megadrive and a projector that can be hooked up to anything for events.
Nothing beats playing street fighter with a bowl of wings.
Also, if you succeed in eating their "suicide wings", you will make it onto their "Wall Of Flame"
M. B. (.
Wow, what a place, classic gaming with a huge selection of decent portion chicken wings. The only thing that would make this place better would be beer, oh wait they serve beer 😀. Great friendly atmosphere will be frequenting this place.
m. m.
Best chicken wings I've ever eaten! Very friendly stiff and a great variety of sauce and beer.
r. h.
Literally can’t get enough of this place, theee tastiest wings ever!! Cool restaurant, amazing and friendly restaurant. So reasonably priced as well.
L. K.
Massive selection of different sauces to try from. The wings were great, sides and milkshakes too. Had good craic trying hotter and hotter wings.
C. T.
Amazing. A must visit for anyone either living in or passing through Edinburgh. Love the selection of sauces, the film inspired deco and the option of retro gaming downstairs. Go. Go right now.
A. S.
Like their name implies, they really only sell chicken wings. They have a fantastic selection of flavours, and are probably the best wings I have ever eaten.
P. G.
The wings were very good, there's so much choice! The place looks very cool and cozy. Will definitely go again!
M. P.
Great vibe and brilliant food! Casual and friendly! Wings are awesome!!
A. S.
The sauces are amazing (Long John Silver is a stand-out favourite) and the geeky decor is great - really love this place!
A. S.
The place to get Wings if you've ever wanted to eat at a Jurassic Park themed table area, while eating a wing with sauce replicating the taste of a Big Mac, while also having the option to taste some of the most refined flavors in all of Edinburgh
C. R.
If you love chicken wings you are gonna want to marry this place. Best selection of chicken wings in the city at affordable prices, very nice staff and looks amazing especially if you are a geek :)
Y. L.
Really love their wings, just so nice! Highly recommend!
L.
Such an awesome place! The food is delicious, the location is super cool! Especially if you like pop culture references! So glad we uncovered this little hidden gem!
R. R.
I'm a wing person. Was in search of a great wings place as I traveled across Europe. This is by far the best wing place I've ever been to in my life. It was the best in Europe and better than any place i've been to in the US. Go.
P. G.
Sadly the wings were overdone and a bit dry. Shame as they have interesting decoration, a very extensive list of toppings for your wings, and good prices.
G. M.
Great chicken wings with different flavours and a spot of movie character art and fun retro games consoles make this place freaking awesome, ive come here for years and il continue coming here in the future :)
J. G. J. M.
How other to explain this, but by calling this the best restaurant in Edinburgh! Simple food, and simple concept. Make sure to go downstairs to play GameCube or watch a film on their projector!
B. P.
Really good wings. Better than a lot of places in the States. Not big and gets busy so reservations are a good idea.
J. G. B.
Amazing selection of sauces. You can have it as spicy as you want. Some of them will burn your tongue, but they're worth trying.
S. W.
A huge selection of wings, with a really relaxed vibe. Highly recommended!
R. P.
Wings do lots of interesting flavours of wings. Do not expect anything else. They do wings.
c.
Great service great food wings were high quality and full of flavour 10/10 and reasonably priced will be back to try more of the selection
J. T.
Brilliant quirky gem down a central side street. Stick to the eponymous wings. Super friendly staff. Always a must-visit when I'm (rarely) in Edinburgh.
L. R.
Staff were great , reasonably priced. Yummy wings and fries 👍. Only thing I didn't like was having to go to the counter and pay at the end. Otherwise 👍
B. R.
Suicide challenge is truly an experience in and of itself. Great wings, good beers and a perfect way to spend a night.
R. B.
We go here pretty regularly, food and service are consistently good and the space is a lot of fun. Book ahead for Friday and Saturday, it can get busy!
G. D.
Good wings at a good price. From wimpy hot to knock your socks off hot.
S. C.
Got the black magic wings, were unreal amazing and the service is amazing aswell
J. C.
The name says everything - great variety of sauces. Good vegetarian option. A bit hidden and still quite busy, reservation recommended!
D. G.
Yuuuummm. Can't wait for the restaurant to open inside so I can enjoy some great beer with my wings ❤️
J. E.
One of my favourite places in the world. From delicious wings, nuggets and cheesy chenga, to geeky themed tables, punny sauce names, retro consoles... what's not to love!

Have been loads of times, sauces are tasty, some good drink options and the whole place is just packed full of awesome nerdy stuff 😍

Good selection of sauces, but chicken was pretty poor quality for 3 wings for £4.50. Mac and cheese was okay but nothing special

Best place in town! Fantastic food and atmosphere as well as great staff!

Delicious sauces and perfectly cooked chicken as well as tastey sides. Really well priced as well! Would definitely recommend this place

Really great food, very cheap and quick service. They do only serve chicken wings though so don't go expecting much else!

Amazing wings and Mac and Cheese!

Just go and see for yourself. Spice. Flavour. Sauce. Atmosphere. Chicken wings. And the staff are great. Also very affordable prices.

Wings, nice drinks and a nice although culture vibe. What more could you ask for? Minor point, chicken wings are just as nice not fried

Always incredible. Give the nuggets a try for something a little less messy.

Brilliant variety of wings. Cool vibe and milkshake was to die for!

Amazing food and did not expect the low prices they offered! Definitely coming back and a must visit for any fellow chicken connoisseur!
