Pleasant decoration with nice rustic looking tables. Very nice long thin pizza cooked in a wood fire oven which exactly what you want from any Italian eatery! Not many Italians working there though which is a bit of a shame. The menu is nice but not entirely traditional to Italy. The staff are friendly and accommodating but a bit short on hearing or memory as they didn’t give us a side we ordered. It’s a little bit of a walk up the stairs to the toilets, but not really an issue. Pleasant decoration with nice rustic looking tables. Can’t really fault it to be honest. 4/5

The best Italian food I have had outside of Italy! Lots of options for vegans and vegetarians. Swanky ambience, good music, pleasant waiters. The photos on Google seem to be old ones and don’t reflect the stylish zizzi present at this location at the moment.

My friend and I walked past the restaurant and then decided to go back there. I only got sweet potato fries and the vegan meatballs, but they were amazing. I loved the atmosphere and the lady who served us was the sweetest.

I didn’t like that speedy order doesn’t work. Pasta crisps on the house were very nice. Pasta we ordered was AMAZING. Pizza was dry. Friendly staff. Would go again and order pasta this time.

Very nice informal Italian-like restaurant. I've tried the casarecce delle casa and a sharing starter, both were tasty and well presented. Waiters do also ask if you want to add parmigiano on the pasta, really appreciate that. For sure you can't expect an authentic Italian experience but is actually better than many real Italian restaurants here in Edinburgh! In terms of service, the staff was nice and friendly and you can choose to either order and pay using your mobile phone (webapp, no need to download an app) or with a waiter. The loyalty program is nice too. The price was okay, the average for a restaurant in Edinburgh. Recommended for a nice dinner with friends!

I was shocked to find most restaurants are licensed as a pub in Edinburgh and they don’t serve kids after 8! Zizzi wasn’t our first option but we were fed- pizza was very good.

I had heard great things before going but even those expectations were exceeded. Went for a meal with colleagues and we were very well looked after. Janis was our server and was fantastic. He made us feel extremely welcome and had impeccable service. All of the food was delicious but the pizza was especially good. I couldn't recommend enough, especially if you like Italian food. Really good service, food was great and they had a good gluten and dairy free selection for my husband. We hadn't even waited very long when our waitress came and apologised profusely that they'd mixed up my husband's order, but we didn't have to wait much longer and they gavr us a discount. Recommend the salted caramel chocloate brownie for dessert.😋

Totally forgot to leave this review at the time! Eloped in September, had originally booked to go to Hard Rock Cafe after but they gave us the wrong table size and had no allergen menu so we left. Thought we’d have trouble booking anywhere else as it was the 12th and it was heaving due to the Queen being in Edinburgh at this point but Zizzi’s were super accommodating, got us all in with no real notice and service was great. Have good allergen menus so I felt safe eating there and staff were all really friendly. Saved the day! Thank you x

Nice restaurant, with standard Zizzi service, good food, and decent prices. The space is quite big, and it has a nice vibe. It’s located 7 minutes walking distance from Dean Village, so it’s a good option if you get hungry after visiting this neighbourhood. There might be better options in the area, but I wanted a safe one as I wasn’t in the mood for taking a risk with something I did not know.

It was just okay. CICCGETTI SHARING BOARD I wouldn't order the sharing plate with the chicken and the bread. It wasn't that good in my opinion. The chicken was kinda plain and it was just bread and dips. The calamari was also kinda tasteless. It wasn't bad but considering the price I would say that its not really worth it. SPAGHETTI BOLOGNESE I just got a classic here and again it was just alright. Not the best but it wasn't bad SERVICE Again the service was okay but it was a little slow at some points and the food took just a bit too long to come out but nothing terrible. Its just your average Italian restaurant.

My husband and I were really chuffed with our first visit to a Zizzi restaurant (Edinburgh). Nice decor, made to feel very welcome with super fast service. Awesome spot. We got here on the first day in Edinburgh. Everyone ordered something different and we all were very pleased with what we got. Both the entrees and desserts were of great quality. Pricewise it was reasonable, you definitely got what you paid for! Also it is located by Prince's Street which makes it accessable from almost anywhere in town, especially if your on a shopping tour around or close to Edinburgh Castle!

I was here a couple of years ago everything we had was terrific!!!! And those rolls, so gorgeous!!! I am going again to Edinburgh in June and we will eat there, for at least a couple of times that week!

Staff tried very hard but all 2 person tables have 4 chairs, 4 person tables have 6 chairs. Big pizzas come on large wooden boards and couldn't fit 3 on tiny table. Not a regular of zizzis and have never really been a fan, but was pleasantly surprised. Great service, excellent quality food and an overall good experience. My one qualm is that the lasagne was 90% cheese and had very little tomato and mince inside which I imagine is quite popular with some.

As the britannia was shut we decided to sit on the deck outside and enjoy drinks, coffee and dessert from zizzis. It was recommended to do the speedy order with QR code scan. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived. 15 mins after ordering I was told my mocktail was unfortunately sold out, but I got offered an alternative, which I wanted originally but was not shown on the online menu. 20 mins after ordering we were told that their tiramisu was sold out too, so we just shared one dessert. 5-10mind later we finally had our order. Staff was friendly, but seemed very inefficient, especially if you do speedy order and it takes them so long to come back to you and let you know they are sold out. As noone came in the end to let us pay we walked I and paid at the bar.

After deciding we needed to escape the bracing and chilly wind of Edinburgh, me and my partner came across this place. We were greeted with a warm welcome and taken to a lovely booth, ready for us to warm up and have a think about what to fill our bell's up with. The service was excellent throughout and always with a smile. The food was exceptional and there were no delays. We never felt rushed to eat and leave despite how busy the venue got. All in all, it was a great experience and I would definitely come back!

We enjoyed a quick meal here after arriving in Edinburgh. We opted for one of their Skinny Pizza options which comprises a half size pizza and a small salad. Served together on a wooden pizza paddle, the meal looks enticing and tastes even better. This meal was plenty for us (one each) and a welcome change from the heavy meals we had encountered in the UK so far on our trip. Great service completed an excellent meal. Highly recommended.

The food is pretty good, I tend to order salads or pasta and non-alcoholic drinks and have never failed to I enjoyed my order. I haven't had a pudding there yet. The service is often slow, they tend to be a bit hit or miss with the waiting staff. Last time was the first time I've been in and the server was actually paying attention to her customers. That said, I might have just been unlucky with temporary festival staff on previous visits or maybe my timing (usually late lunch). Wish they could do something about the entry doors, they do rather funnel cold air right through the restaurant when the left-facing one is open. I saw several tables ask to be reseated a few minutes after arrival.

Really nice place, the menu has loads of options even for dietary customers. The only reason why I have three stars was because the staff look like they could not care less. The type of service was just below average. Ive been there a few times and every time I ask a waiter for something: they turn to me with that look you give when like they're annoyed you need something.

Not the first time we were served by her. We usually prefer Zizzi at the Ocean Terminal because the service is much nicer.

I’ve now been to this Zizzis two times with 2 wheelchair users. Both times the service has been amazing. Our waiter David made us feel like valued customers and did all he could to assist us with positioning wheelchairs, working around food requirements and providing us space and equipment to blend a meal. Visited around 5.30pm on a Thursday evening.It was very cold inside, in fact we had to move onto the centre of the restaurant closer to the ovens! We noticed mist diners had coats or jackets on. The staff were attentive but none if them mentioned any problem with the temperature so can only assume it was "normal". We shared a pizza and chips. The food was served very quickly and was hot. Used Tesco vouchers so unable to choose any offers , therefore we felt it was expensive for what we had. We were glad to move on to a cosy pub to heat up and enjoy a drink!

It's not very often I will give 5 stars. But everything from the staff to the food and the setting was one of the best I've tried. Staff are so nice and friendly. Even tho it was so busy (Valentine's) nothing was to much for them. The food from starter to dessert was excellent. The flavours just kept hitting you. I can't rate this place highly enough. We had a very good meal at Zizzi's - this, surely, is what you want to hear from every restaurant review (or at least those you intend to visit). The portions were handsome, the tastes neatly blended, and our server brightened with enthusiasm when I questioned him about the wine, so there is real knowledge there. You have to like passers-by, as the long windows leave little to the imagination, but all in all, this was more than fine.

Unexpectedly gorgeous meal and friendly service. I don't normally have huge expectations of a chain restaurant, but I was curious about Zizzi's vegetarian menu, I was meeting a pizza-loving friend for lunch, and Zizzi's was convenient for both of us. I thought we'd have a decent meal. I was wrong: we had a really wonderful meal, and we'll both be looking for excuses to eat here again. Courgette frites are one of my favourite dishes, but are often a bit flabby and/or oily. Zizzi's were perfection: tiny and absolutely crispy and grease-free. My dining companion hates courgettes, but tried them, and will be ordering them herself next time. Everything we ate exceeded our expectations.

Zizzi's is centrally located on Queensferry Street and offers your usual Italian fare of pasta, bread and pizza. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant was buzzing with customers. There is a good choice of starters and main courses which made it quite difficult to decide what to choose. One of things I enjoyed most with the meal was their garlic bread with cheese and caramelised onions. I had linguine with tomatoes and king prawns and was impressed with their generous portion sizes although I struggled to finish. I was looking forward to their dessert selection, but had our friend's birthday cake to enjoy. I guess that means we'll need to visit again sometime just to try out their dessert menu!

I am on their mailing list so had a 30% discount voucher off all main courses. I met up with the girls for an early dinner after work and we had calzone and garlic bread. They don't have any veggie calzones on the menu but did do one on request. The mushroom calzone was actually very tasty and I loved the rosemary garlic bread with sea salt on top. Not bad price too with the voucher. I ordered a sprite and asked for no ice and a straw, they did a weird thing of pouring into a short tumbler but then adding a long straw that just kept falling out the glass as it didn't fit. I quickly ditched that. I liked the food and the new décor but the tables were squished too close together and it took an age to get the bill. The décor and food are great, the staff were wandering about a bit and not achieving much!

I'm a big fan of Zizzi's. In the last ten or so years it has never let me down. While service was possibly a little on the slow side today, the food and drinks didn't disappoint. Blueberry and lemon mocktail with mint - de-licious. Kids thoroughly enjoyed their pasta while doing the menu puzzles. The value for money on a full 3 courses for kids was excellent. I hadn't paid enough attention to the menu to notice that the Rusticana was massive but I nobly ate the lot and enjoyed every Pollo Rosso (Rossa?) morsel. This branch of Zizzi's is well placed at the west end, so it was easy for family to meet from different parts of the city by public transport. We also had a good window seat to have a good nosy at what was going on. Staff very friendly and happy to make slight alterations to dishes though they could have pointed out that a casually ordered "cheesy garlic bread" for sharing came topped with onion chutney, something which made it problematic for half of the group to eat. Nonetheless I am always happy to go back. Always recommended.

Bland and generic sums it up really. I ordered a skinny Pizza( guaranteed to be under 500 calories) and It was like chewing cardbboard ( not that I have ever munched on cardboard, but you know what I mean) I should have gone for the full fatty pizza, which I have to say are pretty tasty, So if you do go to zizz's order a pizza as they are they best option on the menu. The pasta dishes are created by the chef who then thin decides what should go into it instead of what you order/expecitng. Value wise it isnt bad but I think youd be better going elsewhere for £8-13 per main course. The decor is sligtly clinical with all the metalic tables and everytme I removed myself from the table I banged my head on a low light and I am only 5'5 ish ( 5'8 with hair bun) so its not the best designed. Its an ok establishment for meeting for a quick meal and catch up with friends, but If I wanted to make it a special occasion then Id choose somewhere else.

This branch has had a recent-ish refit so everything is pretty fresh looking, and i do like a place where you can see people hard at work in the kitchen. This used to be near my work so it was a good choice for a lunchtime meetup - although i would say the pizza express down the road was possibly a bit quicker for service. Zizzis regularly emails you money offer vouchers if you sign up, and they can also easily be found online. I like the more expensive dishes like meat and fish so this brings them down to a more reasonable price.

The pizza rustica, pasta arabiata & caprese were great. We were 20 in our group and our service was top notch handled by only one waiter props to Janos who took care of our whole table. The address and the picture on the map are wrong make sure you put Queensferry street and not Queensferry lane as listed on the map.

A standard Zizzi; which means good enough. The staff here are friendly and the food is safe. Zizzi, as a rule, are good with special requests providing you don't go too far from the menu. I like this Zizzi because it's in a very handy, central, location, and kept clean. On the downside, it can be busy and there's nothing remarkable about the view. Food comes pretty quickly and rarely lets you down.
