A. A.Been here a few times. Food is Good. Tried the durty burger was good but we didn't like the gravy. Hotdogs are banging. The irn bru pakora was OK. Vladimir poutine chips. Definitely not worth £7.95 would definitely go back to try other things. On the menu. Staff are friendly place has a good feel to it. Please change the slaw back to the way it was.
D.Great burguer and chips! A bit too spicy the latter and the music was way too loud (I know, I'm a sound engineer) but the food is worth getting here.

U. M. G.I was not optimistic having tried bread meats bread a couple of days ago but these girls truly delivered. Amazing service, all really nice, portions are huge for what you pay. I'm really looking forward to go again an try other of the burgers with some live music. The only thing that through me off a bit is that the Hail Seitan burger (vg) has kind of a spicy sauce which does not match the flavour. It's still a delicious burger but I would have gone for a milder sauce, like a mayo. Fries were very cheap for what you get. I enjoyed it a lot. Keep up the good work!
E.I really enjoyed this place. Good atmosphere, good food and drinks. We had the Buff-ting wings (which were incredible), side of Old Bay Spiced Fries, Frickles, and Pepper Poutine. The wings were AMAZING, they were like right in the edge of how spicy I can tolerate (felt like close to hot wings from the US, but a little lower). They just had a great flavor. Also, they're the full wings (drumstick and flat together), so if you get the small with 5, it's almost like 10 wings, and large with 8 is nearly 16, but not quite since the drum is a little smaller than a standard drum by itself would be. But it's more than you'd think when they say 5 or 8 wings. My wife enjoyed the Poutine but didn't realize the Frickles were made with sweet pickles, so just be aware of that so you're not caught off guard.

Staff were great as well. Pixie Niki and Johnny were amazing. Special shout out Really made our night. Try the burgers. The chefs own blend of meat will Not disappoint great music as well. G. F.Bloc is a Glasgow institution. Good food, good music, good drinks choices. The veg/vegan menu is extensive too.
Between us, we had burgers, poutine and wings. All pretty decent but some dishes were just ok (Halloween wings were fine, macaroni needed more seasoning, poutine gravy was too salty). Nothing enough to warrant complaining about, but could be enhanced to make it amazing.
The tonic in my gin was flat (probably from the gun) and they replaced it straight away with a fresh one and bottled gin - I thought this was really good.
Service was good and it was tidy and clean inside.
Well worth a visit!

Always friendly and fast service and a wide variety of things on the menus (though I always eat off the vegan options).
Fitting prices, great flavours, good portion sizes, cool tunes, and just a fab vibe in general.
We were served by Martin this time - though that's not what they're called on the receipt 😂.
I'm always gonna return here, can't fault it and just feel at home.
P.Recommended by a friend, what a great place has a real old school Glasgow vibe to it, quite well hidden you have to be looking for it to find it just look for the red symbol. Staff were super friendly & chill. Menu is quirky with so much choice I wanted it all …. Eyes bigger than the belly. Food was UNREAL …. So tasty, fresh & hot. Got a burger, mac & cheese & some poutine UNREAL …. Amazing prices, amazing staff can’t wait to visit again.keep up the great work guys, don’t ever fix something that ain’t broken.

M. A.I have been to Bloc many times over the years and want to emphasise that usually I LOVE it here, the staff are usually lovely and the food is 10/10.
But today I went and the service was sadly terrible. We arrived and were bluntly told by a staff member just to find a seat and scan the QR code for the menu, I brushed it off thinking she was just stressed having worked in restaurants myself as a waitress for years I know we all have those days! However we then had been sat for around 25/30 minutes and no one had come to take our order or check in, not once. The restaurant was quiet so I’m unsure why this was the case. A blonde waitress finally appeared and didn’t say sorry for the delay or even hello, just said “do you want to order something”. We then ordered and then proceeded to wait around 35/40 minutes for our food, not once did a staff member come to give an update or check in, as I was about to go check the brunette long haired waitress appeared with our food popped it on the table and left. Again no apology for the delay or any kind of customer service just seemed very much like she could not be bothered.
I am not one to complain but I am just really disappointed as I have been coming for years and this is the first time where the staff in general (apart from the lovely short-haired lady who cleared our plates and took our payment she was lovely!!) seemed very uninterested and completely not on the ball. Another table next to us had the same feeling it just felt so unfriendly.
On the positive note, the food as always was AMAZING. I really hope this is a 1 off but maybe something management could look at as was really not the usual vibe of the place.

B. E.£4 for my dinner was amazing value. Every day they have a different special. On a Thursday it’s Kentucky night. So Kentucky fried chicken breasts (3 pieces) and chips or vegan Kentucky spiced satan and chips. I had chicken and my wife had satan. We both loved it. Our meal including a dessert, which we shared, and drinks cost £31.50 which I think is brilliant. Only thing is accessibility is terrible which is why it loses a star.

Very cool unique place though. And the irn-Bru dishes are clearly awesome and need to be tried! Good for adventurous Foodies rather than hungry customers!

The tastebuds dance with the delectable sensation and flavours of the resplendent food, the ballroom doesn’t stop there however, come night time you’ll be dancing the tastebud tango. 5 stars.

Quirky staff & quirky bar. The staff were helpful & friendly & very on the ball. We shared a pizza & a portion of chips and it came to only £8 and a decent bottle of Tempranillo was only £10. Unbeatable value. The pizza was hand made and absolutely delicious, thin & crispy authentic. Top marks! Even the chips were perfectly seasoned. Loved it. Thank you.

B.First-time visiting here (to play a gig actually) and loved it! The food was fantastic, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and it generally had a great atmosphere overall. It's a small bar so may get busy on weekends, but definitely one to pay a visit to even just for a meal!

Was craving some dirty food for once and Bloc hit the spot. I had a pulled pork burger which was awesome but my brother's spicy chicken burger is something I'm going back for.
Have the Vladimir Poutine fries with peppercorn sauce with cheese.
Service was awesome, good atmosphere, not really anything not to like, as Ronseal says it does what it says in the tin!

G.the service and food were awesome! really, incredible service!! i got a typical cheeseburger, which was delicious, however my only complaint is that the beef wasn’t the best quality. that didn’t take away from the experience, and since the burger was so reasonably priced I still greatly enjoyed my meal.
A. M.We arrived at 2 mins to 10. Bouncer advised that food stopped at 10 but that it would be worth checking. Place was full, and the waiter told we could get a drink while waiting for a table. He was friendly and helpful. Let us order food after 10pm and was just a nice guy. Had haggis poutine, it was one of the nicest bowl of chips I've ever had, flavours worked so well. Inexpensive, great atmosphere. 10/10

The music programme is varied and interesting and the gigs always have an intimate and unique atmosphere. The contrast between bloc in the daytime and bloc at night is incredible! A true gem of Glasgow!

And poutine was very nice, think I will try a different type next time though. Service was outstanding, the girl helped me pick me decide on what to get as I hadn't eaten here before, and even supplied me with a portion of peppercorn sauce on the side to try along with my poutine as I was curious as to how it tasted. The girl who served us was a bit abrupt, which was slightly off putting as we felt an inconvenience to her. It also took a while for us to get a member of staff’s attention to pay for the bill. Unsure whether we would return, because the service wasn’t welcoming at all, even though the food was good.

J.My experience was mostly disappointing, the food was fine for the price but the staff are the real reason why my experience wasn't as good as I expected it to be, the woman who served me and my friends was rather rude, she was talking to us as if we had annoyed her previously when infact we had just entered the place and sat down, when we eventually asked for the card machine to pay she never returned and we had to then ask another member of staff to give us one, we waited 20 mins after being handed the bill to eventually pay for our food... Don't you want money?
Overall I won't rate the place too low as the food is cheap and it was fine for a lunch but the drink prices are too much in my opinion, a pint of heineken for £4.50 seems a bit much.
H.Fantastic bar. Great food served throughout the day with pizzas available until 3am. Brilliant service, always quick. Good selection of beers and spirits available. Turns into a small club in the evenings with some great nights on. Inclusive pub with gender neutral toilets.

K.All 4 of the stars go to the lovely bartender you've got in the cape/long hair.Absolute gem and super friendly and happy to help as well as helped with a food issue we had as had to go to the bar as no server did a check back. We were made feel really unwelcome by the Lady server/waitress yous had on tonight in a orange jumpsuit/side shave. She was severely rude/curt the entire experience and to be honest doesn't seem very well suited to hospitality We made excuses for her at first as was busy but quieted down a lot during our visit and she was still really rude, short and honestly made us quite uncomfortable. Seemed really hectic/disorganised when busier and hopefully it's just a case of post lockdown adjustment. hence the awarding 4 stars instead of 1. But personally ill not be going back.

S. W.I had the Sloppy Joe Burger with haggis - it was one of the best burgers I've had! Really well seasoned and cooked just right. Total recommendation! The beer selection is good. The atmosphere is a bit to "tight" for me, especially when it's busy.
Service was fast and friendly. Really good for a quick bite.

M. G.There were two of us and no booking, so we waited at the spacious bar for 5 minutes. Guided by a strangely familiar server to a small table with ample elbow room, we both went for a hot dog with extra chili and cheese.The food was magnificent, it had that authentic NYC hot-dog taste and the chili had a decent flavour to it. We washed it down with some pints of Ceaser Augustus and marveled at the sheer good value of their daily menu deals.

The drink selection is pretty good, common drinks plus a few craft ales.
We didn't eat food here but it looked OK at best. It didn't look as if I was missing out on much food wise. But to come here and drink its a decent place. We were there pretty early (5pm) mid week, so if wasn't busy but enough people to create a nice atmosphere.

I have now been back a good few times since my last review and I still love the place and the staff they are all so friendly and the music is great so different.
Do not miss out a visit or you will be disappointed guaranteed.
T. C.Very cool people, the woman who served me was sound. Interior is awesome. The drinks are really cheap (went on a week day). Everyone that was drinking there were so friendly. Music was grand, a little loud. Loved the neon signs. It’s a short walk away from music venues and near the big bus station which is super handy. I would definitely recommend having some drinks here if you’re meeting with a group for a catch up.

First off was that we had gone specifically for their vegan munchy box (on special) which had just sold out when we got there not their fault but wish they had more stock as it was only 7.30ish when we arrived. More concerned was being asked how I wanted my steak a 10oz rump. I requested rare however a steak I would describe as a bed used for sandwiches as it was that thin was served. So thin there was no chance it could be served rare. The food however was tasty and service was great.

X. P.I'd love to say I'm never coming here again but the food is so good I'll probably end up back here. Was told there was a 30 minute wait for our group of 5, that was okay. They told us we'd be put on a waiting list and to come back later. We come back later and another member of staff informs us that the person who told us was wrong telling us we could leave and come back. So we had a further 20 minute wait. Was told that we'll get the next available table, "even if we need to squeeze you in"... then seated 3 groups of people before us. Eventually they squeeze us into a 4 person table and one of us has to hang on the side of the table. The woman with blue hair was lovely, apologetic and funny but the guys were not helpful and caused the problems we faced. Food was amazing though so there's that.

M. C.Great atmosphere, insanely cheap food! A good selection of meat, and vegan dishes as well as wide variety of craft beer in the fridges. I wanted to try both meat and meat-free food and have to say that veggie bean tacos were phenomenal. The burger was somewhat similar to what you get in McDonalds except the meat was meat (read: quality meat). Two dishes you also need to try are Irn Bru Pulled Pork Sandwich and Buckfast Ice Cream, which is something you only get to taste in Glasgow!
