The ambience was great, food was lovely and came on time, made to specific requests too. And yes, tasty. Staff were friendly, helpful and kind, indeed a credit to the organisation. Overall, my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would be back again and again.

Very nice establishment built onto and part of the Grovesnor hotel. Staff are very friendly upon arrival, and unbeknown to us, until 6:30pm you can order a 2 course meal for £16 (I can’t quite remember !!!) or a 3 course for a bit more, we arrived at 6:20pm and still got the deal from the fantastic waitress, I had the Liver Pate which was delicious but could of come with a little less more toast for the size of the portion, following by the Bovine Burger for my Main which was beautiful. Great service great prices I will be back again.

Delicious chateaubriand as always, lovely, attentive staff, and in beautiful surroundings, you can't ask for much more on a Monday night. Steak was perfect and the haggis fritter starter was very tasty, the goats cheese tomato salad was light and creamy. Overall, a great meal and can't wait for the next visit.

Wife took me here for a date recently 🤪 Meat was amazing and OMG you need to try the Mac and Cheese from here! Sprouts were bland and flavourless but everything else was spot on and extremely night. Shame those sprouts were just boiled in water sprouts with pancheta sprinkled on top, instead of browned off in the pan with the pancheta!

I've been to this restaurant multiple times. Most of the times have been 5 stars service and food. But this latest time (5 people) was 1 star service. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks and order food and it took an whole other hour to get our food. It was lukewarm and steaks were not cooked as requested. Overall it was a terrible night and makes my friends and I, all who normally love this restaurant, question greatly whether or not we want to go again.

Our waiter was Mathew. He was very attentive and was close to hand when we needed him. Food was on the table really quick. Buttered potatoes and onion rings were amazing. Unfortunately the fillet steak was a real let down. Dont get me wrong, it was tasty. When you ask for a medium rare at a steaak house, that what you expect, it was medium to well done, more on the well done side. Totally runed the experience. I was ready to ask for a steak knife, when it should have been melt in the mouth. Other thing was, we were all nice and spaced out. Mostly couples in, then the put a roudy table of 4 at the table behind me. Could hardly hear yourself think. Kinda spoiled the experience and my bithday not to mention the plesent atmosphere when we first came in. 4* is for the service 1* for the chef

Kristian was our wait or and he looked after us soo well. We came in for my housemates bday, he gave us the best reccomendstiins for food and wine, he sorted a banging cake out for us. One of the party was vegan and she said It was the best risotto she'd ever had (and she's really fussy). I will recommend this place to everyone and I'll bring visitors too. Thank you xx

Truly excellent dinner service. I came to try the haggis bonbon appetisers which had been recommended since the Hilton no longer offers any with breakfast. I was able to choose a secluded little corner and get on with a little work over a glass of wine completely uninterrupted. Faultless, and excellent pudding besides.

All 3 of us had haggis bon bons to start with and then I shared the Chateaubriand with triple cooked fries. The Chateaubriand was cooked perfectly for the two of us so tender it was amazing. The other person had the braised feather blade of beef on their 2 courses for £15.95, check the times for that offer. The Chateaubriand was amazing but it isn't something I would buy straight off the menu, we had an offer which work out half price for it. I really love their food and have been a few times, I'm always happy to go back. Other restaurants are known to be a steak place but Bo'Vine is just as good if not better and the price, especially the deal, is good.

The food is great. Actually incredible. But the portions border on a joke for the price charged. The prices would not seem high if the portions even resembled an entree, but it’s as if they are trying to be hip and minimalistic. If you like great food but aren’t hungry this place is for you.

We got a great deal from ITISON for 2 steaks, 2 sides and 2 drinks for about £40. The food was all lovely and the staff were very professional and knowledgeable. It was quite busy when we went and we did struggle to get the attention of the staff a few times. It took us a good 15 minutes to actually pay the bill after receiving it.

This place is great for steaks... sometimes. I have steak here every time and when I first started coming, the steaks were unbeatable but now it seems a little hit and miss. For the prices you pay, you would expect it perfect every time but not so. The staff are friendly but service can be quite slow (not just during busy periods).

Decent quality steak for sure. But incredibly slow service and miniscule sides let them down. An hour till the food came and a mac and cheese side you could have fit on a dessert spoon does not make for a good feeling. Creamed spinach was also saltier than the sea. With a better focus on service and value they could fill this restaurant without the need for itison or 5pm vouchers.

I LOVE things place! Our 1st experience here was with a Groupon voucher for 2 which was excellent. We returned last night for our anniversary dinner. Steak, triple cooked fries, mash potato, amazing onion rings, and the best banoffee pie for dessert. The food is amazing, staff are great, quite easily the best meal I have ever had. Was there on a chateaubriand deal tonight. Steak and triple cooked chips are excellent and itison deal was great value. Service was good and staff are attentive. Only down side was the option to surf and turf. Its £10 for which you get 2 small prawns and 2 small scallops. Do not go for this option if going here it is not worth the money and you will be disappointed. It annoyed me and put a bit of a downer on an otherwise great night. Would go again but defo no surf and turf!!

Excellent night last night. It was my boyfriend's 30th and this is his favourite restaurant. I secretly asked the waitress if she could arrange something special which she was more than happy to accommodate. The staff are so friendly and the food was super tasty. I had trout instead of steak and loved loved loved it! Can't wait to go back :) p.s. there was a couple next to us who gave our same waitress a hard time because he had apparently asked for his steak to be cooked differently but he ate the whole thing and the rest of his partner's. I think they got a round of free drinks as an apology (which I thought was over generous) then she went on to complain that her dessert "wasn't quite right" but didn't have a specific reason. I wonder if we'll see their review...

5* food a gazillion star service!!!! Firstly Michelle (the Resteraunt Manager) is quite possibly the best in her trade and that’s from someone who spent 8 years in the industry. From the warm welcome , to the banter she had with us as we had per theatre dinner before rocky horror show- just actually made our trip 100x more enjoyable. Being 5 1/2 months pregnant with ‘baby brain’ I left my phone in the taxi which was a mare to begin with- but it also has our groupon voucher 🙈. I started to panic but our ‘fairy god resteraunt manager’ calmed me down and assured me if I didn’t get my phone back we’d still get our meal and I could email the voucher when I got it back. Panic was avoided as I managed to track my phone. Now to the food and service our waiter Ross was just brilliant and the steak—- from one foodie to another was beautiful. Also when I ordered they advised me of to go medium instead of medium -rare being pregnant. Their knowledge of this food was outstanding. Best value for money too. To top the night off we had super desserts sticky toffee and baked Alaska which were not scrimpy servings and we even asked if they could book a taxi to save us trying to hail a taxi! Michelle, her staff and her Resteraunt are an asset to Glasgow Byers Road and to the Hilton. If you like steak and good service I couldn’t recommend the place quick enough - all for outstanding value!

Came here with my wife for a belated birthday meal after purchasing a voucher. £70 meal for £40. However what was served was a sub standard version of the meal as it was a voucher. In principal this wasn’t an issue, my issue is there was nothing in the fine print to denote this and this appears to have been a decision made by the restaurant to reduce costs. Was ultimately not value for money and although the service was friendly they were clearly under pressure due to the numbers of other guests.

Went here last night with the wife. We had a groupon for a tomahawk steak and 2 sides. The wife and I are no strangers to the tomahawk steak, so we were looking forward to this. On arriving we were welcomed by the , matre'd. A thoroughly friendly gent, very chatty. We ordered starters, for me black pudding with a poached egg, which was lovely, the egg slightly undercooked on the surface, but this doesn't bother me so much with poached eggs. My wife had the seared scallops, which were perfectly cooked. On to the main. They generally serve the tomahawk already sliced we were told, this however isn't for us, so we asked that it be left as is. Which they did. When the steak arrived, it was well presented. I thought it looked a little small for 36oz but I'm sure it was. We asked for it medium rare, it was a little more on the medium side, however it was well cooked, well seasoned amd very tasty. The tripple cooked chips were also tasty. We chose garlic butter with the steak. I loved the garlic butter. Following all of this we had a cheese board, a selection of 3 cheeses, butter, chutney and oatcakes. A good finisher. To sum up. The food was lovely, and the staff were lovely. The service was swift and efficient. The prices are a little high, on the menu the tomahawk was £80, and whilst it was lovely, having had it, I don't think I would pay that for it. However, I would return here and try other food from the menu. Four stars due to the couple of niggles, but all in all a good experience.

My husband and I decided on Bo’Vine on Byers Road one night for dinner. It is part of the Hilton hotel but definitely sits above the usual hotel standard of restaurant. This is the second time we have been and both times we have dined on the market menu where it is £15 for two courses or £19 for three courses. For the quality of food this is an absolute bargain. For our starters, my husband had the Stornway black pudding, served with a poached hen’s egg, pancetta and red wine jus. I had the smoked haddock bon bons with a fennel slaw and ajo blanco (apparently a cold, Spanish soup made with almonds). Both looked incredible and tasted delicious. The haddock smelled incredible when it arrived and the slaw had so much flavour. Mains were grilled sirloin for my husband (no extra supplement charge for the steak on the fixed price menu) and fillet of trout with ratatouille, potato fondant and lemon thyme oil for me. Again, the presentation was beautiful and the flavours were amazing. I especially loved the flavours in the ratatouille. We decided to treat ourselves and share the coconut rice pudding for dessert. It was served with candied pineapple and sugared walnuts. This was my first time trying rice pudding so without anything to compare it to I was really surprised how light it was. I’d always associated it with being quite a heavy dessert. The portion size was really generous and great for sharing. Overall our second visit here did not disappoint. I also must add the staff were amazing, so polite and just the right level attentiveness.

Nice establishment, good decor etc. However, like many have noted - the pricing is very high and not really with any reflection on the quality of the food. For example, the fillet steak is £30 which comes with 2 sides. The steak that arrived was miniscule, supposedly and advertised as 8oz, there is no way on earth it was that size of steak. I'm pretty well versed on steak, it's something I order frequently, and I can categorically say this was well underweight, as was the one on my co-diner's plate. I understand the argument of 'pre-cooked weight' being used, but in this instance it simply doesn't 'weigh-in'. One of the sides was 'seasonal vegetables'; these were extra as you only get 2 with your main (so, fries and salad = 2 sides) - what arrived was laughable - 5-6 limp green beans, 4 pieces of carrot chunks and a tiny head of cauliflower - all your's for £3! Service was mediocre also - had a significant issue with getting served/bill etc - it wasn't even that busy. Plenty of other steak restaurants in Glasgow - go there.

My first visit to Bo'Vine and it won't be the last. Spacious and well thought out. Curved banquettes break up the dining room very successfully. The chateaubriand deal which we used was great value. Perfect medium rare as requested with properly charred outside meat. The staff were terrific. Professional and very pleasant indeed. Very highly recommended.
