I read the reviews but we thought we'd try it anyway. We learned the reviews are accurate. The service was awful. The hostess was clearly exhausted and barely muttered a word. The bartender waited until the queue was 4 groups deep before taking food orders (also understaffed while she took about 6 drink orders at the bar before getting to the food line at the register). It's as iff the place is run by 16 year-olds without an adult in sight. Foos: There are two options of wings; hot wings or barbecue. We ordered barbecue. When the wings arrived without sauce and covered in chilli peppers, we told him we think it's the wrong wings. He looked me in the eyes and said, no I think they're barbecue. We showed him the picture wings covered in barbecue sauce in the menu and he said, yeah that's right. So we asked for a side of barbecue sauce and picked the peppers off as a compromise. However, the food is inexpensive. That is the only trade off.

Been a few times but my trip on Monday was definitely the best. Went with my 2 kids (2&4) on my own to eat in the soft play area. The staff member on who had only worked there for 2 days was amazing. She went above and beyond to make our trip enjoyable. She played and interacted with the kids and was chatty and made us feel very welcome. The food was OK, not sure who's idea it was to stack kids pizza like a Christmas tree, just ripped all the toppings off every other slice. Was a great time regardless.

It's a value for money family restaurant, and they deliver on that. The food is fine for the price, we fed a family of 4 for £50. The food was fine, and the kids had a fun time playing inside and outside. One of the positives is the kid's portions were actually good, small portions to suit children. The soft play is good too, closes at 7pm though, so need to make sure you're there before then.

Pretty disappointed. No carvery on when we were booked for 5pm. They said they'd sold out through the day.🤨The adult main meals were basically lukewarm, we had to eat quickly or they'd be stone cold. Food was not great and obviously reheated and served. I'm only giving the extra stars for the lovely dessert and good play area for kids. We probably won't be back.

This place could be better. The food is average. I had the tikka curry today and it wasn't sauce it was like water as someone else mentioned and the nan was solid and not edible. Our Last visit I had the giant Yorkshire pudding and could hardly eat it. It's a great place as it has a soft play that kids can go in and out of with the wristband and it's cheap, it has a park, its never been busy on our visits nice layout. It has so much potential. Friendly staff. With a good clean, maybe reduced menu size to help it could be amazing!

I took my 2 kids for breakfast and to meet santa. Staff were amazing. It was very busy but they all staff worked with a smile on their faces. Santa's elf who seated us and took us to see santa was lovely. Santa was so nice and very chatty with kids. Other 2 staff members were constantly clearing tables whilst having to juggle and not trip over little ones running about. Was a great experience and I hope staff know they are very much appreciated. Was a great selection of food to choose from too. Will definitely be back. Added bonus was softplay to keep kids enetertained..

This is at least the third time I have stayed at this premier Inn & used the pub attached. Up until tonight the service & food has been first class. Tonight when we order at the same time our food came out at different times. My colleagues starter came out 10mins before mine. When my starter did arrive within 2mins I was asked if I had finished while my colleagues finished starter plate was taken away. Then 5mins later his main course arrived. I waited 20mins for my starter plate to be cleared while my colleague eat his main. Still no main was brought out for myself. I them asked a member of staff to send over the manager. When she came over I pointed out that i had not had my main. At no point did she aplioges or offer an explanation. She offered a refund which I refused as that was not the point I was trying to make. I then said I did not want the main anymore. 5mins later the brought my main out which was cold & again I send I did not want the food. I'm still sat here now 1hr later & no one has offered an apology. For my work I stay in lots in premer inns across the country & this has been the worst reresturant experience I have had.

Came for food and a play for my 3 Yr old. Me and my dad had a carvery amd have to say it was absolutely delicious amd kids meal was also good. All food that came to tables around us also looked amazing. Staff were really lovely, couldn't have been more helpful tbh, service was fab. Great place for a bite to eat. Has parking and a childrens indoor softplay area for toddlers. There is also an outdoor play area for older children. Great selection of pub food like burgers, sharing platters, carvery and grilled steaks. childrens options are available too like sausage and mash , mac and cheese or garlic bread. Meal deals are available. Ice cream and other desserts are available such as eton mess sundaes.

Went here for breakfast we Where rather rushed to choose and pay as breakfast was nearly over so had to grab extra cups of juice before it was taken away so we ended up with seven cup on our table only downside with the breakfast was the scrambled egg was salted before being served but a bit heavy handed my wife doesn't take salt and there was no point returning it as breakfast was over so I swapped my poached eggs with my wife never had that problem before so need to ask for it without salt

Staff very friendly. Had to wait for table put by the time we got a drink we only had about 10 mins to wait. Very clean and welcoming. I did however think it was quite expensive for what you get. Daughter wanted a burger but all the burgers contained cheese and cheese sauce. She can not have cheese so that was really disappointing. I had the fish pie which was absolutely beautiful. Nice place but be surprised to spend a lot of money. A normal meal at home in Liverpool with desert for 5 average about £50-60. We paid over £100 without drinks.

We decided to visit this place due to it's location and close proximity to my friends home. Parking could be a problem at peak times as it is shared with the hotel next door but not on this occasion. We were directed to our pre-booked table as we arrived. As you order at the bar, we did so for drinks and you can start a 'tab' for your table so it makes it easy for paying for everything as you leave. Drinks were brought to the table, as was the food, promptly when we ordered it. The food was lovely and being vegetarian, the choices on the menu were good. All the food was enjoyed in our group, with the staff being helpful when asked for any help. We would highly recommend this place as they tolerated our childish behaviour but it was my birthday!!!!

Edit** been waiting 45 minutes for a kids dessert, fish tasted like wet plasterboard and the beans were dry and stale like they had been microwaved 43 times Food was good and our starters arrived prompt!! I asked a member of staff for a kids menu and was given a load of attitude "its down there in that box" then she disappeared. When our drinks arrived they forgot the kids drink, I went to the bar to ask for it and I said "the girl probably just forgot" and not to worry about it! The older woman behind the bar asked "are you SURE you didn't get it with your drinks?" When I said "yeah I'm sure", she turned to the fridge and said "right, fine then, what one do you want" Then slammed it on the bar!!! The majority of the staff are just going about their jobs but the ones that stick out are full of attitude!!

Always a good place to go as a family if you have kids, as it makes it so easy for the kids to go in the soft play or the playground outside while being able to keep an eye on them from afar and be able to enjoy a grown up chat knowing the kids are safe. The meal was great. If going on a Sunday the parking's free, don't know if a Saturday is too, but through the week parking charges apply. Take parking ticket to the bar and the money paid is refunded. Would definitely recommend here 👍

This is what we call our local restaurant. We go there often. It is reasonably priced, the staff are very helpful and has a nice atmosphere. It has a good variety of food and drinks. Nothing fancy but always have a good meal and a pleasant visit.

Service was poor, lass was hanging over the sign at the entrance saying yeah just go get a seat, asked for a high chair and was told by same girl aye you will get one there, actually had to go find it myself, starters plates had not been removed from table when main meal was brought out, when we had finished our main meal we sat for a bit whilst the little one had icecream, at least 4 servers had passed our table and looked at it, but not one person took the dirty plates away, table next to us left 30 mins before us and all theres was still on the table too. These were all still on the table when we left. There was approx 7 other people in at this time, not as if it was even busy.

Was their sat night with my kids and friend. We had the buffet and a kids chicken nuggets their wasn't any labels to know what the food was the chargrilled chicken was rubbery. I think their was chilli con carne on a chicken buffet :/ we also had dessert I had the salted caramel apple crumble straight from the microwave parts where roasting hot parts where freezing cold. The biggest let down was the toilets No toilet roll and the shelves where thick with stour when was last time they where cleaned. Also slow to clean the plates away.
