The staff here were so lovely. We arrived without a booking and it was very busy but they still found us a table for 40 minutes. Our food came out super fast too which was surprising. I wanted to be adventurous with my order but didn’t like my meal as the combinations didn’t go well together (Mac and cheese and syrup waffles) in my opinion. But my friend loved her meal. I’d definitely go back again and try one of their burgers!

Popped in for lunch, didn't have a reservation but the staff were great. They were able to give us a table for an hour. I had the Sunday Classic, chicken and waffles. I'm not exaggerating when I say that was the best prepared chicken/waffles I've had in Glasgow. The Bloody Mary was also perfection. Will be back. Well priced food. Great atmosphere. As an American this place was great! The food is really massive size American portions so you will not be disappointed. It has a nice atmosphere with good vibes. My husband and I came here because I saw it had good reviews and some coworkers recommended it to me. At first the guy at the front couldn't find our reservation but it was resolved quickly. You definitely need to make a reservation! We got there on time but our table wasn't ready. I think we waited about 10mins before it was ready. The bartender was nice and friendly. We got our table and ordered drinks from the waitress. She was really nice as well. The drink I ordered however was a strawberry mojito, something I never had before. It was a beautiful looking drinking but it was nasty and kinda heavy because of the strawberry puree' so I sent it back and got one of the massive milkshakes instead. It was fantastic! I had a Nutella mixed with oreo and omg yes, is all I can say! The chicken sandwiches were not only huge but tasted amazing as well! We also had the maple glazed chicken wings and those were amazing as well. Never had something like that! I highly recommend you go there if you want something with a decent price but good food. I think we spent about £48 and that included 2 pints of Tennants, a shake, 2 chicken sandwiches with fries and 4 chicken wings. I only give 4 stars because the drink that I sent back that I didn't like still ended up on the bill and when I said something to the waitress she told the manager, not sure but it was the guy at the front seating people. Anyway, he came to our table and asked if there was anything wrong with the drink. I said no I just didn't like it. It wasn't my thing. Then he kinda just looked up like he was gonna say something about me paying for it and I'm like I'm not paying for something I didn't like. I took maybe 2 sips and my husband took 2 sips and we didn't like it! It was basically a full glass! Anyway, he said he would take it off the bill this time and we paid for everything else. Don't expect people to pay for something they barely touched and didn't like. That kinda made me 50/50 on going back. I may give it a go another time. We shall see.

Buck's chicken lives up to the hype. Leo's firewings were fruity and just the right side of painful. Whopping piece of chicken, perfectly cooked on the Kim Jong Bun burger with a nicely Korean slaw. Blue cheese dip goes well with the skin-on chips. Very busy on a Friday and the band were a bit loud but who needs to talk when the chicken is so good?

Ok, so full disclosure the food is a 4/4.5 still REALLY good, tastey and decent value for money but it's the staff that make the review 5/5, from the moment we went in and got a table (no reservation) we were greeted in a very friendly and courteous manner, the waitress we had (sorry I can't remember or didn't catch her name) was super easy to talk to, so in summary food was solid but the staff make it even better 😁😁👍🏻

The staff are truly awesome, in just one visit I interacted with at least 3 or 4 of them who really went above and beyond to ensure I was well looked after. I sat outside because the inside was fully booked, and they really went to great lengths to ensure I was warm & comfy. The incredible part was the value for money as I had a pleasant surprise when the bill came. The chicken on the burger was the size of a large fish! I was so full I couldn't eat it all, and they gave me container to take it away. They fixed my hangover and without stating the obvious, a hangover in Glasgow always requires special care when you're used to drinking elsewhere. I can't wait to go back to this very welcoming establishment when I'm back in town!

To come to such a big place as Glasgow City and go for food to such a little place as Bucks Bar, the food and the flavours that were delivered were to myself in such enourmas but yet capable portions in that much loved American style. Deffo recommend booking a table they have the odd pub quiz on going which is fun to list to or even take part in. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning to Glasgow just for this place as the food is that good.

Visited Buck's Bar after reading all the good reviews, while on a solo trip in Glasgow. Very busy spot and like many reviews before mine, food was good, service was prompt and good vibes all around. Big shout-out to Connor for a great service, just the right amount of warmth and attentiveness that I really appreciate, having worked in the f&b sector myself. Only slight feedback is that the halloumi bites could have been seasoned better, it was pretty tasteless compared to the other halloumis that I have eaten.

I love how the team give you their suggested sauces, this has quickly become my fav go to place for dinner. My fav wings: Chinatown Other awesomeness: buttermilk chicken Best hot sauces: the orange & green ones Bloody Mary tip: NEVER EVER say you like it very spicy… remember you’re in a restaurant filled with hot sauce & your comment may encourage the team to put your words to the test. Really good atmosphere and most of all, the staff were super friendly and attentive!! Although the food took longer than expected, the staff were very good at keeping everyone happy. Good vegan option and the vegan Mayo was insane! Salt and chilli chips amazing too! And there’s a great drinks menu, plenty of non alcoholic options too. Only issue was them wrongly allocating our reserved table to another group but we were seated within 10 mins. Would come back!

Our first bar in Glasgow and it was great. The beer and vibe was great, the bar was completely full and we decided to have a beer standing outside but the waitress was able to get us a nice table outside. Forgot to ask their name, both of our waitress was great. Coming to the food, we ordered some chicken wings and some salt and spicy fries. Although I liked the fries my wife was not a fan of it and the chicken wings we both agreed it was not great. It had three chillies rating, i think they should reduce it to one and it was dry the chicken was completely try. First time I didn't finish my chicken wings. Hopefully next time it will be better, oh yes we will go next time.

Visited for lunch after following this palce on social media for ages. Visited the W. Regent Street bar and was lucky to get a table straight away, quite a few got turned away after me. Very busy for a Sunday lunchtime. Ordered the homemade limeade which was packed with crushed ice, stone cold and very refreshing after exploring Glasgow all morning, so much so I ordered a second one. My food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering and what a feast! I went for the BBQ mess burger. A huge piece of juicy chicken with bbq sauce, American cheese and jalapeños. And I upgraded the fries to salt and chilli ones. The burger was delicious and super filling. The chips crisp with a spicy kick. The bar is bustling and the staff attentive and friendly. We'll worth a visit but definitely look at booking a table first. I was £19 approx for my main and 2 drinks.

First time at this particular Bucks Bar and can say the one at the bottom of town is just a better dining experiance. The food was still good, but with a table booked for 4pm, in seated and ordered. By the time the food came we didnt even get half way through before being told at 4:45 that we had 15mins to leave the table. How long does that leave you to finish a portion the size that Bucks is great for, or our drinks. If we were told as we were being seated that we only had the table for an hour exactly, you can be sure as hell we wouldnt have dined in order to rush our food like we had to.

Service at first was fab.. quick, friendly. I ordered food and a cocktail. Lemon spiced iced tea.. was great.. Then the food came and I ordered a second cocktail. I was prepared to be let down as the pictures where so good but I wasn't.. It looked fab.. and tasted better.. My second cocktail never arrived and was on my bill, which was corrected. Service was excellent, food was outstanding 👌 portion sizes are on the much larger size so be careful and don't over order like we did lol... also i need to mention 40% off cocktails Monday to Wednesday!! Thats like £4.50 for one cocktail! No where in London would serve you a cocktail for that price.

This place was recommended for dinner. Very tasty chicken entrees. The portions were large and good. We both had a different chicken in a bun meal. The chicken was twice the size of the bun and the fries (chips) could have filled a big bowl. The buttermilk flavored chicken was quickly served and the food temp was just right. Our waiter took extra care of us and I noticed he did the same for his other diners. These guys worked hard to keep up as the restaurant was full. This place is an excellent place. Make sure you get a reservation. It’s needed.

This place was truly fantastic. I took a mini vacation to Glasgow and found this gem just around the corner from my hotel. The reviews were stellar, and turned out to be absolutely spot on. The chicken was really amazing, the mac and cheese made me think of home, and it had been awhile since I had skinny fries. Service was great and the decor made it a fun but cozy place to hang and eat. Absolutely would go again, and highly recommend.

Amazing food, giant portions. We got two of the Nashville chicken (HIGHLY RECOMMEND), wings and onion rings. Last day of the "eat out to help out" thing so the kitchen was clearly very busy and our food took a short while longer than usual to come out. Not a problem for us though, and our server Casey was very attentive and kept us abreast (not a deliberate chicken pun) of where our food was, as well as making sure our drinks were refilled. The portion sizes here were plentiful and the service was speedy. The staff were helpful, pointing out a place to put our luggage as we had just gotten in from the airport. Was out with friends last night. Went to bucks bar. And my god it did not disappoint💯 from the minute we got there to we left was an absolute joy. The service was amazing the staff where so nice couldn't have done more for us. The food omg that was by far thee best burger I've ever ate in my life. Nothing about it wasnt nice. It was cooked to perfection it came out hot and not one bite on the 4 of our plates was left. Then the pudding topoed iff the best night out in many many years. We enjoyed our food here. We ate off the Gluten Free Menu. We had the buckora, 4 buffalo wings and a 3 piece buttermilk chicken. And a chili and salt chips and skinny fries. A lovely pint if Drygate GF pilsner and some cocktails. Woulda happily go back for the food. Although my skinny fries were undercooked, i wished to send them back but couldnt find a server. The service tonight was what let it down, our server got all the orders correct however the drinks took a while to come, we ordered the meal. The food was delivered by a seperate server, food plonked into the table, no enjoy your meal, no do you want sauce etc. I can only guess our server was on a break because the next time we seen her was when she was collecting the plates. So this isnt anything against her its just there was no real handover. A bit annoying and let it down. A bit better service and it would have been an easy 5 stars.

Well renowned burger joint in Glasgow for a good reason. The portion sizes here are incredible! If you love a good chicken burger, this place is a must! I had the "sweet cheesus" and the name was definitely fitting! Staff were super cool and friendly and there were a good selection of drinks at the bar. Hopefully live music will be back once covid regulations permit it. Can't recommend this place enough!

Stumbled across this place when I finished the West Highland Trail and was looking for a good vegetarian burger. I was massively happy to find out they make seitan fried chicken. I’m a little obsessed with seitan and tend to eat it wherever and whenever I can- this is by far the best and a lot of it was to do with the coating which is indistinguishable from regular fried chicken. Had some halloumi nuggets on the side that were cooked well and all of their sauces we’re delicious. All staff were friendly, food came quickly and I came without a reservation and they managed to seat me with knowledge that the table was needed in just under an hour. Didn’t have a cocktail but sat near the bar and they all looked good and I’m a little regretful I didn’t commit. Anyway, I will be back.

Was a great meal with friendly staff. The best chicken I have had in Glasgow. The butter chicken is delicious and the nashville hot chicken could blow your socks off. Always enjoy the spiked floats as well, some fizz, alcohol and ice cream in one cup. Definitely need to book before going but I understand why, it is worth the wait.

Foods great, wait staff are great, drinks are cheap. They fired two urinals, a sink and a toilet into a broom cupboard and slapped a sign saying, "gents", on the door. You'll go in complete strangers and come out best pals. Korean wings sauce was horrific. Told the waiter... Kitchen staff tasted it and confirmed it was boufin. No fuss, no hassle. Removed from the bill. Don't suffer in silence people, don't pretend it's all good and then whine about it later with a 1 star review. Burgers were different class. Lager on tap was good. Extensive menu, there's something for everyone and their granny. You'll love it. Staff keep the tips, so don't be stingy! They work hard. Looking forward to going back.

Fantastic place. Good service and always friendly, relaxed atmosphere, good choice of drinks and nice cocktails too. Never used to be able to eat meat off the bone until I tried the wings here, all taste so good. The Korean BBQ wings are a particular highlight but yet to have something here I don’t like. The food is pretty well priced too. On one occasion when I visited as part of a large group there was a minor mistake with our order which the staff fixed quickly but they still have us a discount on our bill so can not fault the service at all. Only thing I’d say is that when love music is on its noisy to the point you can’t converse, however the venue is advertised with live music and the food is so good you’ll be happy to enjoy it and not talk.

Great experience. The bar was bustling and full of energy and I really liked the art outside of the bar. Perfect for spice lovers. You can get 6 pairs of wings for 3.50 (actually cheaper than KFC) and a good choice of different types of spicy wings. I got the Korean and buffalo they were both a wee bit too spicy but it tasted really good. The service was fantastic from Chris. Just too spicy and I can't tell if the sauces from the sauce rack are expired.

The food was about what I expected, good fried chicken, however be aware even some items on the menu (if on the same non standard menu we were on) not marked as hot are all tossed in a hot sauce, so worth asking before you order. I had the Buck Chicken which as far as I knew was just chicken with a blue cheese sauce, however its tossed in hot sauce, which meant I had to scrape all the batter off. Drinks, Buck Cherry goes down far far to well and tbh so did the other drinks the rest of us ordered. Staff, they were all excellent, even with a large group of us service was fine, not too long and not to quick. Overall it was a decent experience just a shame they feel the need to have hot sauce on everything we ordered.

I enjoy heat and these had a fantastic blend of both flavour and heat! Good selection of beers and cocktails, and deserts. We want to go back and sample more dishes from the menu, and the drinks. Atmosphere is very American, even down to the music - I love it. I would recommend booking a table as it is busy. Handy tip, if your are wanting fried chicken pieces get the burger not the chicken on its own - the burger comes with two giant fried chicken pieces (with cheese) and a load of chips. Much better value for money and you can just pick the bun off to get the chicken if you didn't fancy a full burger.

I went into Buck's Bar on a weekday dinner for two. The bar was about half full and so getting a table was no problem, but I imagine that it could get busy at weekends. The buttermilk fried chicken didn't disappoint, in fact, the blue cheese buffalo chicken burger is probably one of the best that I've had in Glasgow. The price of the food was acceptable, but drink prices are too high at about a fiver a pop. The entire bar counter was stacked with dirty glasses, which took some shine off the service and atmosphere of the place. Service is definitely below standard. Overall, the fried chicken is good enough that I would go back, but it's not somewhere that I would spend a whole night in.

I had the Mexicheese burger and the fried chicken breast is so big it sticks out the sides of the burger. Even the least spiciest items on the menu pack a kick so be warned that if you're not into spice you should steer clear of anything marked with even one chilli! Ambience: Pretty basic interior but does the job. Overall: If you have a craving for chicken then this is the place to satisfy that need! But don't expect to pop in on a whim and get a table. First time I've been, was recommended by my son. We'd booked well in advance. It was busy when we arrived and when we left 2 hrs later. Service was good, a wee bit slow, but that's down to how busy it was. Good selection of drinks, it was our youngest 15th birthday and he tagged his mate along with us. Good was very good, plenty of it and well ITS Chicken! Great portions and again great selection. Boy bought a hoodie as there's loads of 'decent merch' apparently, according to the boys. Inside is a wee but tired and thus can make it appear dirty, although it is very clean.... Appearances are everything. I will return, but maybe when I'm not driving and can have a pint 🍻👍😜😏

My wife had never been here so we decided to head down on a Sunday for some scoff and a pint. The food is fantastic. The chicken, as you would expect in a chicken bar, is extremely tasty, tender with a great crispy coating. The old Colonel has nothing on this! The wings and sides were also a treat. The selection of hot sauces is well worth dipping into, however, be warned as some of them are brutal! There is a good beer selection too without being wanky and for those non beer lovers (boo!) they have you covered with plenty of choice. The rock 'n roll music adds to the atmosphere which was very relaxed (in a good way) and welcoming. The staff were brilliant, friendly, chatty and couldn't do enough for us. A credit to the place. Overall we had a great time, eating great food, drinking good beer and setting our mouths on fire.

You can't get the spiciest wings to take away which is a bit of a shame but i assume thats because big Leo likes to watch people from the back while they suffer from his saucy torture. The Nashville hot chicken out of here is on another level too. Don't know if its authentic, but its hardly going to stop you from enjoying some of the tastiest spice sweats you can get. Tldr: go to this place and enjoy some of the best chicken Glasgow has.

Easily the best “wing” experience I have had anywhere in the world. The price is a steal for the amount of food you receive. The sauces on our wings were so tasty. The “Big Leo’s” are proper Spicy. Sometimes with high heat you can’t taste the wings. Not the case with the “Big Leo’s”. While hot as hell they were still so tasty. I couldn’t stop. Real wings too. In America and in many other places around the world you get either a drumstick, or wing. These wings come whole. So you order at most 12, but you’re actually getting 24 of the commonly sliced up chicken. Such a great deal. Super staff, cool basement location with ample seating. The Beer and liquor selection is choice, and they play a great soundtrack. Don’t go anywhere else if you want “wings” in Glasgow.

I'll take it that we went there on Friday afternoon in December. I also take it that restaurants are struggling after covid and with increased costs,..... BUT..... We ordered our food thinking our wings would come first, then our bugers. No, all put quickly in front of us so the burger and fries started going cold. Aa it is a bar we ordered a few rounds of drinks, spending money and not just sitting there. We were then asked to finish and leave as they had a large booking and needed out table. I can honestly say that this is the first time I've ever been asked to leave a restaurant when spending money. Bit disappointed by the experience, and maybe when booking that should advise people of the time slot they have.

Visited on 7th August 2021. Had a wonderful experience visiting Buck's Bar for the first time and would definitely return and recommend to others as the service and food was good. We didn't have a booking, but still the wonderful staff found us a table and we were sat outside which we didn't mind. The table was cleaned for us and the service (by Ross) as amazing. Friendly but chill at the same time - just lovely. He is a vibe himself! Food arrived in a very timely manner and I had the best waffles I've ever had, the chicken was tasty as well. The portion size was a bit too big for me and I took half of it home. Would be great to have an option for 1/2 portions (2 pieces of waffle with 2 pieces of chicken?). The outside table was a bit noisy and the tables are arranged on a slope which wasn't as comfortable as it could be, hence the 4 star rating.

The portions are really great for the price (burger is huge) and the actual taste of the burgers were good. In both portion of chips, the majority was wee scraggly bits that were like the leftover at the bottom of the frying pan. Wouldnt have the burgers again.

When we did order our food it was out to us swiftly, especially considering they were very busy on a Friday lunchtime. I had the Nashville hot chicken, I was worried it would be too hot so just want for the 2 chilli version, but next time I think I'd go one hotter, my larger had an amazing chicken mac'n'cheese and waffles and my son had a burger and fries the size of most of his body! It was all delicious! I also had a coke float for sheer nostalgia and my son had an epic looking nutella milkshake. We'll be back next time we are visiting Glasgow!

This place is hands down an EASY 10/10. First the food: I went for the classic 3 pieces of chicken over a waffle and picked the maple syrup as recommend by one of the waiters. I went over there during the busy hours (15:00) and waited for the meal like 7 minutes, are ya kidding me!? The chicken is perfectly tender, the meat is clearly of good quality (no joints or ligaments or any other bs) + the taste... Lemme tell ya, I don't like spicy food that much but it was just the right volume of hot, ya ken? Mixed with the fresh waffle glazed generously with maple syrup, + a chill pint of Tennet's made my day. Secondly, the place: cozy, keeping a pleasant atmosphere, with music, maybe a wee bit too loud for my taste but still enjoyable. Last and MOST important: the staff. All, and I mean ALL the chaps were going out of their way to make your meal enjoyable. Attentive but not overwhelmingly present, they work like bees in a hive. I've observed them for quite some time and noticed that no customer was unattended at any time, whenever someone left the premises, they would immediately jump to clean the table THOROUGHLY. Polite at all times, even speaking very highly of their boss (HUGE well done to the boss lady who runs the place!), I genuinely wish there were more such waiters in the place I come from. If you're around in Glasgow and you do allow yourself to eat a wee bit not that healthy from time to time, do NOT miss this gem of a place, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Flippin amazing! Burgers were massive but the star was the maple onion wings, amazingly crunchy with wonderful sweet maple flavours in every bite. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Be prepared to be stuffed if you come here!

There is no disappointment in Bucks Bar, this is definitely worth multiple visits. If Man Vs Food came to the UK, this place would without a doubt be on it, with some of the best chicken available and delicious sides. The food is large and tasty and presented great! the atmosphere is excellent, and the prices are good for the amount of food and service received.

Another great meal at Buck's Bar. Didn't make a reservation but the staff went out their way to find me a table. Food is absolute class, my girlfriend had the salt and chilli chicken burger and I had the spicy Mac and cheese chicken waffle. Wow! Hot but not too hot. Love this place, will be back again!

If you are a vegetarian in glasgow, do yourself a favour and get here asap. We tried to walk in and were told that we had to book - next available table wasn't for two more days and for good reason. Very tasty food, the portions are American sized so prepare to be full. The hard milkshakes are massive (larger than a pint of coke) so replace any possible dessert with one.

Good atmosphere! Good wings, didn't find the wings too hot ( went for the ones with 2 chilli's ). Mains - had the buttermilk fried chicken. Breast meat was dry but drumsticks were nice. The huge hot sauce selection made the breast meat less terrible and it was fun trying all the different sauces! Cocktails also delicious!

While on holiday in Scotland (From South Africa), I had a food tp-do-list. Buck's bar was one of them! The reviews sounded great, and one of the instagram foodies spoke very highly of the place. We managed to stop on our last day in Glasgow. We had a late lunch there. All of the food was excellent! The chicken and waffles was brilliant. Some of the best halloumi I have ever eaten and the chicken popcorn was yum too! Some of the halloumi and the chicken popcorn even made it home back to SA. My sister loved it too! The service was good and quite quick too. Would definitely go back if I could! In Afrikaans... LEKKER!

Looked for a restaurant close to our hotel and saw Bucks - they had a table available in 30 minutes- worth the wait! Serving staff attentive, great vibe in the restaurant, not in the centre but busy. The server recommended the chicken on Mac on cheese on top on the waffle - it was fabulous!!! Food was delicious- highly recommend Bucks and will be returning when revisit Glasgow
