The staff here were so lovely. We arrived without a booking and it was very busy but they still found us a table for 40 minutes. Our food came out super fast too which was surprising. I wanted to be adventurous with my order but didn’t like my meal as the combinations didn’t go well together (Mac and cheese and syrup waffles) in my opinion. But my friend loved her meal. I’d definitely go back again and try one of their burgers!

Salt 'n' Chili Chicken Burger is great！ Waffle and Chicken with syrup is tasty but too sweet for me. Marple Chicken Wing has the same problem, it is too sweet. The Oreo milkshake is like melted Oreo Ice cream hhh. But in general I still like this restaurant, especially the burger.

If you like BIG chicken burgers then this is the place for you! I was amazed at how small the bun looked compared to the chicken breast. The chicken was cooked really well and went down a treat as it came with fries. Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting Glasgow if they like to eat big.

Visited on 7th August 2021. Had a wonderful experience visiting Buck's Bar for the first time and would definitely return and recommend to others as the service and food was good. We didn't have a booking, but still the wonderful staff found us a table and we were sat outside which we didn't mind. The table was cleaned for us and the service (by Ross) as amazing. Friendly but chill at the same time - just lovely. He is a vibe himself! Food arrived in a very timely manner and I had the best waffles I've ever had, the chicken was tasty as well. The portion size was a bit too big for me and I took half of it home. Would be great to have an option for 1/2 portions (2 pieces of waffle with 2 pieces of chicken?). The outside table was a bit noisy and the tables are arranged on a slope which wasn't as comfortable as it could be, hence the 4 star rating.

We absolutely loved Bucks Bar. We were headed home to Edinburgh but so many friends had recommended this place that we had to pop in before we got out train. The friendly staff found my partner, my son and I a booth and took our drinks orders promptly, the atmosphere was great and the staff were very friendly. When we did order our food it was out to us swiftly, especially considering they were very busy on a Friday lunchtime. I had the Nashville hot chicken, I was worried it would be too hot so just want for the 2 chilli version, but next time I think I'd go one hotter, my larger had an amazing chicken mac'n'cheese and waffles and my son had a burger and fries the size of most of his body! It was all delicious! I also had a coke float for sheer nostalgia and my son had an epic looking nutella milkshake. We'll be back next time we are visiting Glasgow!

This place is hands down an EASY 10/10. First the food: I went for the classic 3 pieces of chicken over a waffle and picked the maple syrup as recommend by one of the waiters. I went over there during the busy hours (15:00) and waited for the meal like 7 minutes, are ya kidding me!? The chicken is perfectly tender, the meat is clearly of good quality (no joints or ligaments or any other bs) + the taste... Lemme tell ya, I don't like spicy food that much but it was just the right volume of hot, ya ken? Mixed with the fresh waffle glazed generously with maple syrup, + a chill pint of Tennet's made my day. Secondly, the place: cozy, keeping a pleasant atmosphere, with music, maybe a wee bit too loud for my taste but still enjoyable. Last and MOST important: the staff. All, and I mean ALL the chaps were going out of their way to make your meal enjoyable. Attentive but not overwhelmingly present, they work like bees in a hive. I've observed them for quite some time and noticed that no customer was unattended at any time, whenever someone left the premises, they would immediately jump to clean the table THOROUGHLY. Polite at all times, even speaking very highly of their boss (HUGE well done to the boss lady who runs the place!), I genuinely wish there were more such waiters in the place I come from. If you're around in Glasgow and you do allow yourself to eat a wee bit not that healthy from time to time, do NOT miss this gem of a place, I HIGHLY recommend it!

As an American this place was great! The food is really massive size American portions so you will not be disappointed. It has a nice atmosphere with good vibes. My husband and I came here because I saw it had good reviews and some coworkers recommended it to me. At first the guy at the front couldn't find our reservation but it was resolved quickly. You definitely need to make a reservation! We got there on time but our table wasn't ready. I think we waited about 10mins before it was ready. The bartender was nice and friendly. We got our table and ordered drinks from the waitress. She was really nice as well. The drink I ordered however was a strawberry mojito, something I never had before. It was a beautiful looking drinking but it was nasty and kinda heavy because of the strawberry puree' so I sent it back and got one of the massive milkshakes instead. It was fantastic! I had a Nutella mixed with oreo and omg yes, is all I can say! The chicken sandwiches were not only huge but tasted amazing as well! We also had the maple glazed chicken wings and those were amazing as well. Never had something like that! I highly recommend you go there if you want something with a decent price but good food. I think we spent about £48 and that included 2 pints of Tennants, a shake, 2 chicken sandwiches with fries and 4 chicken wings. I only give 4 stars because the drink that I sent back that I didn't like still ended up on the bill and when I said something to the waitress she told the manager, not sure but it was the guy at the front seating people. Anyway, he came to our table and asked if there was anything wrong with the drink. I said no I just didn't like it. It wasn't my thing. Then he kinda just looked up like he was gonna say something about me paying for it and I'm like I'm not paying for something I didn't like. I took maybe 2 sips and my husband took 2 sips and we didn't like it! It was basically a full glass! Anyway, he said he would take it off the bill this time and we paid for everything else. Don't expect people to pay for something they barely touched and didn't like. That kinda made me 50/50 on going back. I may give it a go another time. We shall see.

Visited Buck's Bar after reading all the good reviews, while on a solo trip in Glasgow. Very busy spot and like many reviews before mine, food was good, service was prompt and good vibes all around. Big shout-out to Connor for a great service, just the right amount of warmth and attentiveness that I really appreciate, having worked in the f&b sector myself. Only slight feedback is that the halloumi bites could have been seasoned better, it was pretty tasteless compared to the other halloumis that I have eaten.

Our first bar in Glasgow and it was great. The beer and vibe was great, the bar was completely full and we decided to have a beer standing outside but the waitress was able to get us a nice table outside. Forgot to ask their name, both of our waitress was great. Coming to the food, we ordered some chicken wings and some salt and spicy fries. Although I liked the fries my wife was not a fan of it and the chicken wings we both agreed it was not great. It had three chillies rating, i think they should reduce it to one and it was dry the chicken was completely try. First time I didn't finish my chicken wings. Hopefully next time it will be better, oh yes we will go next time.

Visited for lunch after following this palce on social media for ages. Visited the W. Regent Street bar and was lucky to get a table straight away, quite a few got turned away after me. Very busy for a Sunday lunchtime. Ordered the homemade limeade which was packed with crushed ice, stone cold and very refreshing after exploring Glasgow all morning, so much so I ordered a second one. My food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering and what a feast! I went for the BBQ mess burger. A huge piece of juicy chicken with bbq sauce, American cheese and jalapeños. And I upgraded the fries to salt and chilli ones. The burger was delicious and super filling. The chips crisp with a spicy kick. The bar is bustling and the staff attentive and friendly. We'll worth a visit but definitely look at booking a table first. I was £19 approx for my main and 2 drinks.

This place was recommended for dinner. Very tasty chicken entrees. The portions were large and good. We both had a different chicken in a bun meal. The chicken was twice the size of the bun and the fries (chips) could have filled a big bowl. The buttermilk flavored chicken was quickly served and the food temp was just right. Our waiter took extra care of us and I noticed he did the same for his other diners. These guys worked hard to keep up as the restaurant was full. This place is an excellent place. Make sure you get a reservation. It’s needed.

The portion sizes here were plentiful and the service was speedy. The staff were helpful, pointing out a place to put our luggage as we had just gotten in from the airport. Foods great, wait staff are great, drinks are cheap. They fired two urinals, a sink and a toilet into a broom cupboard and slapped a sign saying, "gents", on the door. You'll go in complete strangers and come out best pals. Korean wings sauce was horrific. Told the waiter... Kitchen staff tasted it and confirmed it was boufin. No fuss, no hassle. Removed from the bill. Don't suffer in silence people, don't pretend it's all good and then whine about it later with a 1 star review. Burgers were different class. Lager on tap was good. Extensive menu, there's something for everyone and their granny. You'll love it. Staff keep the tips, so don't be stingy! They work hard. Looking forward to going back.

Great place for fried chicken, won't disappoint! I have tried their fried chicken fillet a few times, this time I went for something extra. Fried chicken + mac & cheese + waffle was an ace combo, huge portion and decently priced, maybe not for everyday (or ever) if you're watching calories. Love Bucks Bar. Food is incredible, huge portions, and really great value for money. Great atmosphere in the evenings, live music and good music, only been to sit in once in the day time and no music playing, very quiet so could hear everyone elses conversations. But can't complain too much as staff were friendly and service great.

Your popcorn chicken is my takeaway lunch treat when I'm in Glasgow - a great indulgence. I particularly like the Korean and buffalo wing glaze. Please keep up consistency with the dish however. Today there was no glaze - just a pot of sauce, no cutlery and no napkins.

If like me, you love your fried chicken delicious, juicy, and crunchy, there a surprising few options that deliver in Glasgow. Buck's bar is one of them. Trongate, Regent street, doesn't matter, both are convenient. I've tried most of their menu, but if you want simple happiness, get this fried chicken with waffle and syrup to taste the flavours and textures dance in your mouth.

Americana style chicken resteraunt located in Glasgow City centre. Considered by many as some of the best quality food you can get in Glasgow. Portions are huge and food is of a very high standard. Nice relaxed decor and very friendly and attentive staff. The place is small so would strongly advise pre-booking as it can get busy 7 days a week, at weekends especially. Not the cheapest but we'll worth the money.

Buck's Bar..... Delicious food, polite and helpful staff, small toilets and a great atmosphere. Place would have rated higher if but for two things..... I'll take it that we went there on Friday afternoon in December. I also take it that restaurants are struggling after covid and with increased costs,..... BUT..... We ordered our food thinking our wings would come first, then our bugers. No, all put quickly in front of us so the burger and fries started going cold. Aa it is a bar we ordered a few rounds of drinks, spending money and not just sitting there. We were then asked to finish and leave as they had a large booking and needed out table. I can honestly say that this is the first time I've ever been asked to leave a restaurant when spending money. Bit disappointed by the experience, and maybe when booking that should advise people of the time slot they have.

Oh my absolute wow... This is quite possibly the best restaurant I've ever been to... Infact, no it is! The staff are cheery drinks lovely, and the chicken THE CHICKEN wow wow wow we had the maple syrup wings which came with like broken crisps cracked all over it ... STUNNING the salt and chilly pop corn chicken with sirracha mayo STUNNING, salt and chilly chips with herb dip AAAABSOLUTELY STUNNING the portion sizes were so so big for the price you pay, we had to take home a doggy bag! (Which we ate after getting home later that night) I've woke up this morning and I want to go back right now ! I wish Edinburgh had one of these I'd never go anywhere else ! If you've never been get there! So glad our friends recommended this !

Bucks is so hyped up but we had a bit of a disapointing experience I'm afraid! Not sure if it was just an off night or not? The atmosphere and service is great. The portions are really great for the price (burger is huge) and the actual taste of the burgers were good. However the texture was really off and just not right, almost felt rubbery which was so off putting. In both portion of chips, the majority was wee scraggly bits that were like the leftover at the bottom of the frying pan. Wouldnt have the burgers again.

This is my favourite restaurant in Glasgow. The food is amazing, so so tasty! Chefs are superb! The staff are amazing! The staff are truly awesome, in just one visit I interacted with at least 3 or 4 of them who really went above and beyond to ensure I was well looked after. I sat outside because the inside was fully booked, and they really went to great lengths to ensure I was warm & comfy. The incredible part was the value for money as I had a pleasant surprise when the bill came. The chicken on the burger was the size of a large fish! I was so full I couldn't eat it all, and they gave me container to take it away. They fixed my hangover and without stating the obvious, a hangover in Glasgow always requires special care when you're used to drinking elsewhere. First time at this particular Bucks Bar and can say the one at the bottom of town is just a better dining experiance. The food was still good, but with a table booked for 4pm, in seated and ordered. By the time the food came we didnt even get half way through before being told at 4:45 that we had 15mins to leave the table. How long does that leave you to finish a portion the size that Bucks is great for, or our drinks. If we were told as we were being seated that we only had the table for an hour exactly, you can be sure as hell we wouldnt have dined in order to rush our food like we had to.

A lovely pint if Drygate GF pilsner and some cocktails. Woulda happily go back for the food. Although my skinny fries were undercooked, i wished to send them back but couldnt find a server. The service tonight was what let it down, our server got all the orders correct however the drinks took a while to come, we ordered the meal. The food was delivered by a seperate server, food plonked into the table, no enjoy your meal, no do you want sauce etc. I can only guess our server was on a break because the next time we seen her was when she was collecting the plates. So this isnt anything against her its just there was no real handover. A bit annoying and let it down. A bit better service and it would have been an easy 5 stars.

Stumbled across this place when I finished the West Highland Trail and was looking for a good vegetarian burger. I was massively happy to find out they make seitan fried chicken. I’m a little obsessed with seitan and tend to eat it wherever and whenever I can- this is by far the best and a lot of it was to do with the coating which is indistinguishable from regular fried chicken. Had some halloumi nuggets on the side that were cooked well and all of their sauces we’re delicious. All staff were friendly, food came quickly and I came without a reservation and they managed to seat me with knowledge that the table was needed in just under an hour. Didn’t have a cocktail but sat near the bar and they all looked good and I’m a little regretful I didn’t commit. Anyway, I will be back.

Never used to be able to eat meat off the bone until I tried the wings here, all taste so good. The Korean BBQ wings are a particular highlight but yet to have something here I don’t like. The food is pretty well priced too. On one occasion when I visited as part of a large group there was a minor mistake with our order which the staff fixed quickly but they still have us a discount on our bill so can not fault the service at all. Only thing I’d say is that when love music is on its noisy to the point you can’t converse, however the venue is advertised with live music and the food is so good you’ll be happy to enjoy it and not talk.

Butter chicken for me and chicken with mac n cheese waffle for the Mrs. Didn't think the combination would go but I actually went OMG when I tasted chicken with mac n cheese. Finished with dessert which was far too much for one person so it was a good job I was there to help out. Highly recommend you book in advance if you're wanting in at the weekend. We went on a Monday night and the place was full, every table taken. Staff were very friendly and the service was quick too!

Great experience. The bar was bustling and full of energy and I really liked the art outside of the bar. Perfect for spice lovers. You can get 6 pairs of wings for 3.50 (actually cheaper than KFC) and a good choice of different types of spicy wings. I got the Korean and buffalo they were both a wee bit too spicy but it tasted really good. The service was fantastic from Chris. Just too spicy and I can't tell if the sauces from the sauce rack are expired.

The food was about what I expected, good fried chicken, however be aware even some items on the menu (if on the same non standard menu we were on) not marked as hot are all tossed in a hot sauce, so worth asking before you order. I had the Buck Chicken which as far as I knew was just chicken with a blue cheese sauce, however its tossed in hot sauce, which meant I had to scrape all the batter off. Drinks, Buck Cherry goes down far far to well and tbh so did the other drinks the rest of us ordered. Staff, they were all excellent, even with a large group of us service was fine, not too long and not to quick. Overall it was a decent experience just a shame they feel the need to have hot sauce on everything we ordered.

Atmosphere is very American, even down to the music - I love it. I would recommend booking a table as it is busy. Handy tip, if your are wanting fried chicken pieces get the burger not the chicken on its own - the burger comes with two giant fried chicken pieces (with cheese) and a load of chips. Much better value for money and you can just pick the bun off to get the chicken if you didn't fancy a full burger.

I went into Buck's Bar on a weekday dinner for two. The bar was about half full and so getting a table was no problem, but I imagine that it could get busy at weekends. The buttermilk fried chicken didn't disappoint, in fact, the blue cheese buffalo chicken burger is probably one of the best that I've had in Glasgow. The price of the food was acceptable, but drink prices are too high at about a fiver a pop. The entire bar counter was stacked with dirty glasses, which took some shine off the service and atmosphere of the place. Service is definitely below standard. Overall, the fried chicken is good enough that I would go back, but it's not somewhere that I would spend a whole night in.

I had the Mexicheese burger and the fried chicken breast is so big it sticks out the sides of the burger. Even the least spiciest items on the menu pack a kick so be warned that if you're not into spice you should steer clear of anything marked with even one chilli! Ambience: Pretty basic interior but does the job. Overall: If you have a craving for chicken then this is the place to satisfy that need! But don't expect to pop in on a whim and get a table. Bookings appear to be a must every night of the week!

My wife had never been here so we decided to head down on a Sunday for some scoff and a pint. The food is fantastic. The chicken, as you would expect in a chicken bar, is extremely tasty, tender with a great crispy coating. The old Colonel has nothing on this! The wings and sides were also a treat. The selection of hot sauces is well worth dipping into, however, be warned as some of them are brutal! There is a good beer selection too without being wanky and for those non beer lovers (boo!) they have you covered with plenty of choice. The rock 'n roll music adds to the atmosphere which was very relaxed (in a good way) and welcoming. The staff were brilliant, friendly, chatty and couldn't do enough for us. A credit to the place. Overall we had a great time, eating great food, drinking good beer and setting our mouths on fire.

The Nashville hot chicken out of here is on another level too. Don't know if its authentic, but its hardly going to stop you from enjoying some of the tastiest spice sweats you can get. Easily the best “wing” experience I have had anywhere in the world. The price is a steal for the amount of food you receive. The sauces on our wings were so tasty. The “Big Leo’s” are proper Spicy. Sometimes with high heat you can’t taste the wings. Not the case with the “Big Leo’s”. While hot as hell they were still so tasty. I couldn’t stop. Real wings too. In America and in many other places around the world you get either a drumstick, or wing. These wings come whole. So you order at most 12, but you’re actually getting 24 of the commonly sliced up chicken. Such a great deal. Super staff, cool basement location with ample seating. The Beer and liquor selection is choice, and they play a great soundtrack. Don’t go anywhere else if you want “wings” in Glasgow.

What a holy place to fried chicken. This is where Aphrodite would go should it have been open in ancient times. The chicken is an offering to the gods and the sauces are a sacrifice to Hades. Reccomend all the way.
