We go to this cafe every few months as we enjoy going to Kirky and have always enjoyed it. Good quality of food and good vegetarian/vegan options. However yesterday we had barely sat down when server wanted our order we ordered drinks and asked for few minutes more, literally 2 mins later she was back and we had to order. Food arrived and we were not disappointed it was delicious, however server was back and cleared our plates, I had finished but my sister was still eating. Asked if we wanted anything else I had another drink, but if hadn't rushed us we were wanting five minute to rest and was going to have coffee and cake. I was still drinking my second juice when we were presented with the bill without asking for it so we decided we weren't ordering anything else and when we were deciding where to go, server came out with card machine. So disappointed in the service, they just wanted us in and out and the money . Can't complain about the choice or quality of the food. We spent £25 and missed out on a further £15. We gave a cafe across the road our business. We won't be back.

Fantastic value full breakfast for less than £8. Service very good, even asked me what coloured toast I wanted. Excellent proper vegan options. Comfy seats, and loved the rectangular plate. Beans in a wee bowl, great touch. Only criticism music slightly too loud and a bit melancholy. Definitely recommend for breakfast and lunch menu looked quality too.

Brilliant selection of vegan and vegetarian. Particularly impressed with the veggie and vegan breakfasts. Usually the meaty items are swapped out for a tomato and mushrooms and I never feel they are as much value as the meat options. However, the meat items are straight swapped for vegan/veggie alternatives, so you still get bacon and black pudding/haggis and sausage.
And it is delicious.
Lovely staff and great service.
Seasonal additions to the menu are nice as well.
Website prices are higher than actual costs (example, the Groupon deal says a breakfast is near £12, it is nearer £8).
Delicious selection of cakes and treats as well.
