Reviews of Chaakoo Bombay Cafe
B. D.
Lovely food. Great ambience. Chicken pakora is delicious! Definitely do order it. Even the other items were good. Having arrived recently to Glasgow (and to the UK as a whole) this Indian food was a welcome addition. Check out the bill in my photos on the review to see other things ordered.

Absolutely worth the try. I really enjoyed it as everything was almost perfect from the moment I was seated. Good selection of Indian starters and dishes. Very fast and professional service. I really loved the meat Samosa. Portions are small though.
N. S.
No matter how many I visit this place I just couldn’t restrain myself going. Their service is blazing fast and staff are really polite. I would say must go place and you should definitely try their prawns tandoori, butter chicken, lamb seekh kebab and money fish. They are reasonably good.
D. T.
Visited here as been to the west end restaurant too. The food does not disappoint. The same goes for the drinks menu. The wines red/white very good. The service again was very good. The meals speak for themselves as nothing is left on the plate. City centre location we counted at least 50 people came in after us,some booked, but walk-in also. Great flavours throughout for our meals.. lemon rice, fish pakora, chicken pakora, korma curry, naan, and 2 we forgot the names..

Busy Indian restaurant at heart of GLASGOW.
Great ambiance, nice drinks selection, friendly staffs and also close to train station.
We have visited after a business meeting in Glasgow because of top on google reviews and rating. Fully crowed at 6pm, strong customer base for food and drinks.
Food comes super quick same as in India. We enjoyed the moment there.

Waitress was fantasic.. very knowledgeable with the menu.. the decor and atmosphere were top notch... and the food was outstanding, flavors, temperatures, the food and sauce was all perfect. Great restaurant great staff, = a great experience and dinner.

Such an amazing place!!! If you're in Glasgow don't miss out on this gem. Food is so so good, you order little dishes and we shared but you don't have to. They are small but packed full of flavour and the smells are wonderful. If you want quality over quantity this is the place for you. The staff were wonderful from start to Finish and made you feel very welcomed.
S. P.
Popped in here for dinner before catching our train home. Our waiter was really helpful in telling us how things worked and advising us on what to order.
Our food arrived really quickly and was delicious, as was the pot of chai tea. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the decor too.
Our waiter was also a help in telling us how quickly we could get to the station from the restaurant afterwards.

Love it. Never been before. Had the Keema, sag paneer, railway chicken, tandoori prawns and fish pakora with rich and peshwari naan. Sag paneer was was tasteful if you weren't vegetarian would maybe convert you. Keema could have been slightly more moist but reminded me of home. So good all round.

I am not sure this restaurant can be the best Indian restaurant in Glasgow. Serving manners were bad, and tasty wasn’t great.
S. S.
I visited this place on Friday during lunch hours with group of freinds. The restaurant was full but we got a table without waiting. We got Friday special menus with starters, main course and it costs around 10£. Taste was awesome. As an Indian, I can say it is truly indian. Staffs were awesome, friendly and always happy to help. I liked the atmosphere and the decorations of the stairs towards the toilet. The posters of old ballywood movies made me nostalgic. Overall, you should visit this cafe for three main reasons, 1. Good food 2. Not that much costly 3. Awesome service.
lots of veg options are also available, traditional Indian drinks lassi, cha(tea) are available but I went for my favourite pistachios ice cream
Cons: I personally felt quantity is not huge but you can add additional rice or naan.
G. A. M.
Great place. Great service. The chicken tikka Massala and the peshwari naan is amazing. Need to improve the draft beer selection.
N. C.
Fantastic! We came in for a late afternoon snack and shared a garlic naan and chicken tikka masala, which were both delicious and the perfect belly warmer for a chilly Glasgow day.
T. G.
Arrived Wednesday Midday. Seated straight away by a lovely gentleman and served by a young waitress. Food came a lot quicker than expected. It is tapas style so order at least 2 or 3. Had a lovely curry which was very flavoursome.
Place is beautiful and staff are polite. Overall a lovely location to dine at.
P. C.
A brilliant opportunity to try different small plates. The food was exceptional and the staff very efficient and professional. Ambience classy and comfortable 👌.....small 💡 idea have additional side tables to bring along to guests 😀 who like us are struggling to get all their food and drinks on their table for 2. Would highly recommend. Need some work on your Nan Bread 😕 sorry guys.
D. A. D.
Love this place — it’s exactly what an Indian restaurant should be. Great variety of small plates, all delicious. Nice offering of cocktails (many with local spirits) too. Did delivery and was so impressed went later to dine in. Just wish it were closer to home!
R. k.
A great spot in Glasgow. Nice ambiance. Food is flavorful and on point. Portions are considered small for the price. They could work more on the overall service. Yet, Megan was lovely and attentive.
S. C.
Wow… I don’t know how I’m ever going to eat Indian food again! Utterly delicious. Why can’t every Indian restaurant cook like this?! Full of flavour and sharing small dishes means you get to taste a bit of everything! Loved the lamb biryani and tiger prawns and the cocktails were divine! Please open a restaurant in London!!
E. M.
Ive been coming here for years and you can always be guaranteed a lovely time with tasty food and cocktails. I have only given 4 starts just because my favourite dish (monkfish curry) just isn't quite as good as it used to be. The suave used to be really rich and unctuous, it's a bit thinner now but still tasty.
I'll always come back here for group dining.
A. F.
Really good place to eat, atmosphere was busy. If I have a criticism it's that the tables absorb the Heat from plates and dishes, this doesn't give you a lot of time to have your meal while it's warm. Put down mates or even tea tree lights on a warming plate. Will be back. Cheers.
H. P.
A mate suggested we visit this place a few weeks ago and I’m glad he did! Excellent food, friendly staff with a relaxed atmosphere in impressive surroundings! Would definitely recommend and visit again.
A. C.
Great Indian restaurant in Glasgow city centre, if you are visiting Glasgow for business or pleasure you definitely need to have a meal there, it won't disappoint you!
M. S.
I will forever love Chaakoo. Delicious food, great customer service, amazing interiors, and wonderfully affordable -- the best!!!
k. m.
We booked a table for 2 and it was very busy when we arrived. We were seated straight away and given water, but it was half an hour before our food order was taken. They are small dishes so they advise you to order 2 per person. Tasty, although the paneer skewer was a bit too burnt at the edges, and the aubergine and potato curry was really just potato. No courtesy check was made to see if the food was OK or if wanted any more drinks, so overall I would say, could be improved a little.
B. F.
Been here twice so far and planning to visit again. Smaller portions means you can mix and match dishes for a tapas style meal with friends and family. Lunch menu is perfect size and I would recommend the mint chocolate white Russian drink. Delicious.
S. M.
Always a great experience! This is one of the most delicious and authentic Indian restaurants.
There is generally about an hour of waiting if you haven't booked a table, but it's worth it.
J. G.
Amazing Indian food - some of the best we have ever had!
j. M.
First visit to this great restaurant. With only one hour for lunch, the lunchtime menu is perfect. I ordered vegetable pakora and butter chicken. Both arrived quickly and were really tasty. I'll definitely return.

My partner and I recently visited Glasgow for the first time and decided to try the Chaakoo Bombay Cafe on our second night in. Not knowing anything about the place really, we were met my some very attentive and friendly staff. We initially ordered drinks at the bar and were shocked at the price of 2 lagers; just shy of £12!! Anyway, we’d seen the prices of the food and felt that they were reasonable. The server explained that it was a kind of tapas experience (which we didn’t know about), so we were a bit disappointed thinking that the portion sizes would be tiny and we’d have to order far more than we anticipated to get the full size equivalent. We ordered a chicken balti, lamb biryani, Bombay potatoes, rice and a couple of poppadoms, which came to about £40. I must say, the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. I would recommend anyone to try it there. It was fairly busy for a Sunday night, which goes to show how popular the place is. Just a bit disappointed that the price of the drinks were a bit steep, even by Glasgow standards, hence only 4 stars.
B. L.
Excellent food in handy location.Delicious Indian food at very reasonable prices.
Ambiance and staff very good indeed.
Visit Glasgow every year from Ireland and this is my first food stop.
C. T.
The food is tasty and the staff friendly. One of the better Indian restaurants in Glasgow. I just felt that the portions were smaller than usual.
R. M.
Great Indian place in Glasgow city center. Portions are not big, so need to order a few.
Food was done expertly, great cocktails as well.
s. c.
The food was too good, kebabs & tandoori items were properly grilled and the portions were also good. The ambience was lovely. Much recommend in Glasgow.
M. G.
This was a great find. Superb service, comfy seating for the four of us in our group. The food was absolutely amazing and it was good to order as I went rather than order loads in one go.
D. S.
We were surved by Clautia, food was really amazing, fresh and soo flavourful and food service was amazing we order and in just 5 min. We get our fresh and hot food. I order garlic chilli chicken which was really good.
As a restaurant owner i want to give you an tip that let your staff taste all your food so that they can easily give a suggestion to your customer.
D. B.
Our 2nd visit in less than a week. Hats off to Harry for remembering us and finding us a table. Love the garlic naans. Great food but you need to book for a weekend evening slot. Just wish we lived a bit closer!
B. B.
Brilliant place, the best part is, each curry had its own identity unlike other restaurants where they use the same base sauce for all the curries offered. Rogan Josh, chicken madras and saag paneer were just perfect! Butter chicken felt bit tangy. Dum biriyani was flavorful and well cooked. Spiced lamb chops was good, you would love it if you like it bit rare! I would have given a 5 star if they had offered more quantity. May be it is set for the appetite of the targeted customer base. Being an Indian the quantity they offer is not enough, especially for the price we pay!
The railway station vibes also added to the experience. I would visit here often if I'm not paying for it😁
E. T.
Amazing experience! The food was simply delicious. We tried most of the vegetarian options and enjoyed ourselves very much. Food came amazingly quickly, even before our cocktails, but everything was freshly cooked and tasty. Most of the dishes we had were quite spicy. We ordered 5 for two persons (small/medium appetite) plus rice and nan and it was too much (4 or even 3 would have been enough), the remaining food was great to takeaway...
s. s.
Excellent restaurant. Any Indian food lover should must visit this restaurant. Proper indian test. I visited Glasgow for few days. I found this restaurant on Google. I visited and I asked staff what will be the best vegetarian option. She recommend to go with sag paneer and garlic naan. I was expecting the quantity and the test as usual I had in London. But test was outstanding and out of my expectations. For the first time, I have actually had proper authentic indian food test in UK.
Strongly recommend this restaurant
Thanks for amazing food and service. Will surely visit next time when I come to Glasgow
D.
Amazing food, every dish was perfect. Polite and pleasant service even on a very busy Friday night. 10/10 👍
E.
1st.Never caught the waitress' name but the Service was second to none. Food, drinks and atmosphere is amazing. This place should definitely be more hyped and be more publicity renowned.
Will definitely make this place a regular and would definitely recommend it to locals or visitors.
2nd.Back for a second go(for a Graduation Dinner last night) and same again. Brilliant service, food was great with a plenty of variety. It was the first choice of places to go and it did not disappoint.
R. L.
Fabulous food !! Especially the dum lamb biryani I was pleasantly surprised . It tasted exactly the same as you would get in India!! Very very happy :) made our day!!
A. M. N.
Was in today sat 9th April 2022 the attentiveness of the female manager was second to none !! SHE was so friendly and explained menu. Staff great .Could NOT fault ANYTHING!!!! From start to finish defo be back .DELIOUSOUS and relaxed and wonderful service .
D. M.
First time trying this restaurant, staff very good and attentive drinks fine, veg pakora burnt far to well done found the prawns and chicken very dry lamb bhuna excellent but sorry not for me and quite disappointed in first visit sorry but only a 3 and certainly would not rush back
F. M.
A beautiful birthday dinner. The ambiance of the space is amazing, the service is great and the food is out of this world amazing. Will definitely be back.
C. C.
Fantastic meal there on Saturday night. Really enjoyed the tapas style plates. Food was lovely. Staff were brilliant also. Highly recommend.
S. M.
Excellent experience. Great atmosphere and delicious food. Price was reasonable. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
I. M.
Very tasty meal portions look a little small however starter and main with rice and bread really filling. Service very good
L. D.
Very tasty and super friendly and helpful staff, but portions were small and expensive for what you get.
L. M.
As always, the service at Chaakoo was absolutely fantastic.
The food was outstanding! We had a feast fit for a King & Queen!
The dishes are small, Tapas style - all perfect for sharing. That way you can try a wee bit of everything. We chose the Chicken Korma (the best curry I have *ever* tasted) with lemon rice, Veggie Samosas, Cauliflower Pakora, a Chicken Tikka Kebab & husband also had the Chicken Tikka Roti (a sandwich/wrap made with a delicious flat bread with a side of the most amazing spicy coleslaw).
I had a strawberry iced tea (so good! And made fresh! None of that pre-made, bottled iced tea that tastes pretty bad), husband had a Kingfisher beer (cool & crisp, a perfect choice to go with the meal) I had coconut ice cream for dessert & we each had a flat white.
All of this came to £47 - we thought this was great value because everything about our dining experience was perfection.
If you haven't eaten here then you must do so immediately!
Chaakoo : You never disappoint & we will see you soon!
A. B.
Enjoyed the food. Went there with family and everyone loved the food. Good flavours, friendly staff. There are a few parking spots but it’s better off parking the car around centre and it’s just 5 mins walk.
M.
Yummmmmmmy. Butter chicken and rice. Lacci. And their sweet dount like Dessert 👌🏼 staff are friendly esp the lady from the Isle of annie? Something like that 😬
S. C.
Probably my new favourite Indian in Glasgow, good prices and tatsy curries. Recommend having two each as it's quite filling . They so serve a tasty Indian IPA. Gets quite busy so definitely worth booking in advance.
Interior is modern and a bit different to your usual decor. Good for business too and they do a great lunch offer.
T. K.
Everything here is amazing! This is a must visit restaurant in Glasgow. The decor is quirky and entertaining. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and disappears so quickly that you end up wishing you had ordered more. The chicken wings and the kachumber are not to be missed. They also do good Lunch offers as well as student offers. Double check that their meat is Halal. As for price, everything is cheaper than expected, I would start charging more!
T. K.
This place is a must visit if you are in Glasgow! Small tapas plates which are actually generously portioned for tapas and reasonable priced too. It was so good we went back the next day for lunch! Staff offered amazing service, all of them. Funny ‘rules’ & brief history of the restaurant available to view up the sides of the walls in case you are lacking entertainment or you’re on a dinner phone ban..
N. M.
Second time in Chaakoo Bombay Cafe ! Delicious food and excellent service !
E. M.
So good! Great food (try the samosas - so good), nice service (thanks Billie!), and yummy chai. The place is beautiful and very well located. If you have food allergies, they will hand you a chart that shows you which dishes contain which allergen - I found that very helpful. Will drop by next time I’m in Glasgow!
C. R.
We didn’t eat here but had chai. It’s the real deal just not spicy enough for me but I love my masala chai extra spicy. Service was lacklustre. Maybe it was the time of day, mid-afternoon, but the wait staff seemed asleep and not really engaged in serving us or getting our bill and helping us get out of there. Maybe they needed stronger chai!
A. S.
Great service. Good food. I liked their tapas sized portion. Lots of different options to try. Has a different decor and character.
A. G.
Been here a few times now and the food is always amazing. Love this place!!
S. G.
Excellent Indian food! Must try! The best food till date in any foreign country. In fact, it is better than many restaurants in India itself. The ambience is good, service is fast and the drinks are also great!
D. H.
Ate here Saturday night and it was busy, a very popular place. The food is amazing, it's tapas so advisable to order at least 2-3 dishes each. The service was excellent, a great little place.
T. C.
First time here and will definitely be back. Food was really good and great atmosphere.
A. A.
Tapas style Indian food in a relaxed, informal setting. The food was excellent, fantastic flavours and so moreish! The staff were friendly and helpful. My one wee complaint might be that a couple of the dishes could have been a bit warmer but overall a lovely dining experience. I am completely hooked and will definitely be returning as soon as I can ❤
b. c.
I order chicken skewer but cheese skewer came to me. lamb is over stewed but flavor of curry has good mix of spices. jera rice is bit soft, need to cook little bit less for texture of rice.atomosphere is very nice !
D. K.
Ambience: Bustling, good loud music and good crowd. Drinks: all the usuals like Indian lager, cocktails (Bombay Cosmo is my favourite) and the usp is the Amrut Indian whisky. Food: tapas style with good quality food great tasting dishes. No food clouring agents used like most other 'indian'. Staff: friendly and helpful. Best to book and go as this place is popular. Not good for children. No exclusive menu for children other than chicken nuggets and chips (although quality was good). Overall a good experience. Would definitely recommend.
C. D.
Fantastic feast, superb staff and brilliant ambiance. Order the Perfume of Persia cocktail - incredible!
Y. H.
Chicken pakora is awesome.
Pineapple salad is good as well.
A. C.
Food is always amazing! Team are friendly, courteous and always keen to help where they can. One of my very favourite places to eat (and I'm super fussy 🙈🤣)
J. A.
This is a fantastic eatery in the heart of Glasgow. We had the lunch menu which was a grill + curry + rice/chips. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the ambience was amazing! However, the dessert and chai left much to be desired. Firstly the gulab jamun was not actually the authentic Indian dessert we are used to. Although the waitress did warn us that it's not authentic before we ordered, calling it gulab jamun is definitely a misnomer! The chai was also a bit underwhelming, there was too much cinnamon for our liking. Overall a really good meal but the dessert and chai were a bit of a let down (in our opinion).
S. D.
Good Restaurant.
Nice authentic Indian food was served. We went here 4-5 times and found food quite delicious. The only star I deducted because of the ambience, it is quite congested and in these Covid times, it becomes quite uncomfortable. Post lockdown we haven't visited this restaurant but pre Covid times, it was always good. The nust try items are- Mango Lassi and Butter Chicken with Naan. Keep up the good work!
A. S.
The whole place was excellent, the food was amazing and absolutely delicious.
C. K.
Food was great, although portions are small. For example, if you like your kebab to come with pitta bread make sure you add it to your order. However, the dishes on their own are very nice. A nice change to the standard Indian restaurant fare.
S. K.
First time, i get true Indian taste. Taste is really nice and delicious. I will highly recommend it to them who is missing an indian taste in UK.
L. A.
Lovely, relaxed and delicious. A great way to eat. Staff are very polite and helpful. Looking forward to returning with family and friends.
S. P.
Good sized menu not over complicated and excellent authentic food and friendly competent service. Perfect portion size.we will definitely return.
D. B.
This place is amazing, the staff are so friendly and helpful. The Indian beers were a nice change from the usual stuff and the menu had everything.
Nothing was a bother to the staff and the girls behind the bar were very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing what to eat and drink as it was our 1st time there. I also liked the decor and Indian historical photos, we will return and have already planned a day for my family visiting from England.
Well worth a visit if you like Indian food 😊
G. S.
Fantastic food and great service. As a person of Indian origin, I always approach Indian restaurants with a bit of apprehension as I can be overly critical (due to the home cooked food I've been spoiled with all my life). However, I was pleasantly surprised with the flavours produced by the kitchen. Plenty of spice (hurrah!) and a good mixture of ingredients. I went for lunch and was pleased by the tasteful decor that has a feeling of a Victorian restaurant in Bombay circa early 20th century. Only criticism I can make was the chai tea wasn't great, maybe this can be improved?
V. G.
Good food but the seats and seating arrangements are not great. Seats were worn off at places. Customer service is okay at the best. Few waiters were really good while majority of them having some sort of attitude and comes across a bit harsh, which is not great for a restaurant.
Go for great food and that too only main course. Dessert is best to avoid, none of them is good at all. Avoid tea as well if you are looking for authentic indian tea. 4 stars just because the main course was so good otherwise there is nothing really.
k. d.
Great place, good service, and food was really good. Had a great time here.
S. T.
Loved it, had lunch with my son and the food was fresh and delicious. Decor is super. Unfortunately all chai is coming strictly without opium.
D. A.
Lovely decor and atmosphere. Attentive and really friendly service staff. Great food, generous portions, and all at very reasonable lunch time prices.
A. B. (.
wonderful small dishes, perhaps a little saltier than needed , but we couldnt finish
M. H.
Check your bill.
Have to give it 3 stars rather than the expected 5.
The food was fantastic.
The service was great even on a Friday night. But trying to charge us and extra £20 for 3 beers and a wine was out of order.
The excuse seemed to involve the waiter having gone on a break!
Probably won't go back for a while until the memory fades a bit.
Check your bill.
K. S.
Best Indian restaurant. Way more better than Dishoom normally half an hour waiting time. Foods were so nice. Lamb madras curry and butter chicken are my favourites . Would recommend this to people who like Indian food. In this restaurant you need to order 2 curries and 2 rice bowls, because they are bit small. Worth the money. Would visit again.
C. C.
Amazing interior with lots to see and read! The service is great with helpful and friendly staff. The curries are very good and authentic. The lunch deal of a curry and a grill with rice or chips let us try all the different types of curries.
V. W.
Located in the city centre of glasgow, 5 minutes walk away from the lighthouse. Excellent inidian food. We had the lunch specials and were very excited. Delicous , good service, Perfect!
M.
Small portions and an extensive choice. Great food and a chance to try a bit of everything. Service very friendly too.
H. R.
Fantastic!!! Staff were really informative, the food, fish pakora, kerela monkfish curry, devine. Great atmosphere and busy, constantly busy. Would definitely go back but would book in advance.
R. P. K.
The lunch menu deal is great value and was genuinely excellent. Would absolutely go here again.
S. M.
Had a delicious and hearty dinner at Chaakoo Bombay Cafe in Glasgow.
Starters of MACHALI
(Fish pakora in a coriander & green chilli batter) and BOMBAY POTATOES (baby potatoes cooked with onions, mustard seeds & curry leaves), and mains of
LAMB DHANSAK (Spiced Irani Lamb and lentil curry with garlic and ginger) with LEMON RICE (Basmati rice, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, fresh lemon juice), and DAAL MAKHANI (overnight cooked black lentils & red kidney beans on tandoor, tomato puree, fresh ginger & cream) mopped up with a garlic naan and washed down with a refreshing passion fruit and lime lassi. Everything tasted so fresh and light yet filled out bellies!
From their website:
'The original Bombay Cafes, otherwise known as Irani cafes, were opened by the Persian & Iranian immigrants who came to India in the 19th Century. Irani Cafes were popular for Irani Chai tea and a melting pot menu of Classic Iranian grill dishes and Classic Bombay dishes. They were frequented and endorsed by students, taxi drivers, ladies of the night and lawyers akin, as the world passed by outside. In the 1950s, 350 Irani Cafes existed and now today, only 25.'
R. S.
Wonderful food at a very reasonable price, very friendly staff.
D. S.
Chaakoo is one of my favourites Indian restaurants in Glasgow. The service is good, and the food is super tasty and I'd come back again and again. Even my mother, notoriously hard to please, had great things to say about it! I wish they'd put the saag paneer on the lunchtime menu though. It's definitely superior to the daal makhani! Be sure to try the veg samosa, and the peshwari naan.
A. G.
Great food, every dish was mega. Went for a meal with the wife and had a few different dishes between us. All of them cooked to a very high standard and all the meats melted in your mouth. Will definitely be back again when we can.
J. M.
Great atmosphere, service & food, what's not to like about this place. Recommend highly.
A.
What a place from start to finish, we hadn't booked and got straight in, staff were looking after you and the meal was 10/10...highly recommended..
C. O.
Good music that mixes well with the hot and spicy curry. Very nice environment. Nice staff and great guy at the bar. Will recommend...
E. E.
Nice meal. Busy place. Recommend to book in advance. Small portions/Indian tapas...I guess.
A.
My first time here the food was so good I was really looking forward to going back, went back with a friend and the food was a bit underwhelming, lukewarm and didn't really taste as good as the first time. I will return but not anytime soon and hopefully the food will be as good as the first time
G. P.
Quality food. Couple of things could have been better but would go back.
A. C.
Nice place to taste different Indian dish in small tapas size. Food was quite moderate, still I enjoyed it and the goos atmosphere.
D. B.
Amazing food, I loved chicken, my daughter was happy about vegetarian options. We had a very cosy time there. Very friendly staff, I really recommend this restaurant in Glasgow.
A. D.
had the £10 lunch here, was fast and delicious! consisted of something from the grill and a curry, with fries or rice. very filling and all comes out together. food delicious and hot and great value. staff friendly and helpful too. would be interested to try for dinner too.
G.
Excellent value lunch with great knowledgeable waitress! Excellent decor too.
R. J.
I have eaten here twice and both times the food has been exquisite! Small plates means you can order a big selection so you can get a wide variety of flavours and spice levels. Staff know the menu well and made good recommendations both of my visits. Service was very quick (on both occasions all our food and drinks were with us less than 10 minutes after ordering!).
Love the place, will be coming back again soon!
M.
Excellent food and service. My new favourite Indian restaurant in Glasgow
J. E.
Set in tongue and cheek, British Raj colonial cafe style (Read the punjab signs using a mirror) ;), 3 tapas style dishes, tandoori prawns, tandoori paneer, daal mukhani, plus 2 naan and 2 beers for sub £30. Lovely service too. A little gem.
G. E.
The food was nice but did appear about two minutes after it was ordered, which was a bit odd. Service was also a bit disorganised (dessert was served while all the mains dishes were still on the table).
F. D.
Omg this place is superb. Lovely surroundings, interesting, authentic decor, photographs and fun quotes and " rules" on walls.
Staff were friendly and helpful, explaining the tapas style menu and ordering system, which is always useful in a new place.
BUT, oh the food! Best ever!
Delicious tastes and textures, differing levels of spiciness and imaginative flavours in a variety of foods. I loved it!!
Definitely recommend if you're in town, with so many places to choose from. Can't wait to go back!!
V. R.
Really good food, taken the best possible cuisine and added a bit of jazz to the restaurant vibes. really good menu , tasty food and always service is top notch!
J.
Beautiful Indian small plates, lovely decor and good service. Highly recommended.
P. G.
Never had better indian food. Wonderful environment. Great staff. Cannot wait to return!
G. M.
What a great place to eat so tasty and great atmosphere thoroughly recommend it made our night in Glasgow special
A. C.
This was the best Indian food we've tried in Glasgow. The selection of small plates were delicious, well-sized and cheaper than expected. Mocktails were great, Mango Cooler is the best one, and the service was very friendly.
Joanna was so pleasant and recommended a few dishes for us and explained the menu well as it was our first time visit.
Credit to the chef, and team here it was amazing!
J. K.
Elegant place with interesting atmosphere. Gives the impression to be back in time and guarantees privacy and appropriate space even when The restaurant is full. The food is good and served in a shot time. Staff is ok. Toilet is clean. Prices a bit high.
K. D.
Amazing place, great service, awesome food. a MUST when in Glasgow. Similar to Mowgli chain of Indian street food restos.
A. V.
Food was really nice, love the style and atmosphere, staff really friendly.
S. T.
Fast becoming my favourite city centre lunch spot. The 2 course lunch menu is great value.
I. R.
Excellent Tapsa style dishes . Delicious, and very authentic....
g. k.
If you like spicy food and Indian cuisine, this is the place. Rara gosh is the plate to try!!!
C. S.
Absolutely excellent. Delicious food, and great value!!
J. S.
Nice Indian style small dish place that supposedly recreates the Iranian expat cafe experience of India. Food was good and recommended, cocktails pretty good too. We say upstairs which was a tad warm. Would suggest a visit.
A. K.
Brilliant service and Quality food . The staff knows how to turn a bad review into a good review . I ordered some lamb chops on Thursday , and i think it was my mistake to not mention i want them well done, i found them hard and chewy . Long story short , the staff did not even change it for me but also took it off the bill , they also took the replacement chicken off my bill . They so nicely agreed with me that i did not feel awkward to be complaining . We work just a Building down from chaakoo and will definitely keep coming back , almost every second day , like the way we already do . Will highly recommend their butter chicken and sabjee chicken wrap .
J. H.
Really good Indian tapas restaurant - great food, drinks atmosphere and service. Great concept too - you can try lots of different dishes easily without eating too much!
D. P.
Fantastic food and great staff. Mezzi idea so each of us had 5 small portions on the table, great way to sample stuff you've never tried. Would definitely recommend and go back again.
H.
Should have been 5 stars.. BUT.. service was
very slow. One of the worst waiters to serve me at a restaurant. Had to call her multiple times for things like utensils and napkins when the food was served to us !
The food was really good though. Still it wasn’t acceptable having such slow service. Wouldn’t consider coming back.
A. a.
Nice staff even better food, definitely worth a visit when in Glasgow
R. M.
Lovely tasting food, top quality. Lovely atmosphere and good service. I would love to see a few more vegan options though and for some of the vegetarian options to be made vegan I.e. vegetable samosas.
S. B.
If you really love indian food, just go for it. Real indian taste. Food was amazing 😋😋
J. S.
Portion sizes here are a little small and so the staff advise you potentially get one of the kebabs to go with your curry. The food itself was delicious however I found it quite spicy despite choosing what I thought were mild dishes (I don't judge Chaako against this, just my taste as I can't handle too much spice!). It was very busy and was hit hard by the 6pm evening rush so would advise you make bookings. Masala fries are also a must-have if you can handle spice ok!
T. G.
Great service and food is just so good.
All the Curry has unique flavour (not all same taste) individual portion is not big but if just think this is Indian style tapas, it's easier to try something new and all great anyway.
B. H.
Superb food. Indian tapas is a really good concept.
A. D.
Amazing food, great taste and very friendly staff
A. M.
The food and service were great! The restaurant was very tastefully decorated.
J. L.
Had a fantastic meal there last night. Indian tapas and every dish ordered was absolutely delicious. Lamb chops, sheikh kebab and king prawns to start followed by chicken madras, lamb madras, lamb achari, garlic chilli chicken and Bombay potatoes. The spice level on all dishes was perfect, accompanied by spiced fries, jeera rice and naan bread. 100% bang on and The service was every bit as good as the food.
E. P.
Tasty Indian food; will definitely recommend.
R. S.
Always look forward to visiting Chaakoo as I know that I'll be served the most delicious food by really friendly staff.
D. S.
Delicious food, great ambience and atmosphere, will definitely make a return visit.
G. W.
Friendly helpful staff, food was delicious with a great choice and loved the decor. Thank you
N. N.
Cally- we love youuuu ❤️❤️
She made the experience so nice.
Food was okay but cally was excellent
C. O.
Returning after a number of years from my previous visit. I wasn't as amazed at the food as I had thought it was. Still good food but living 30 minutes away there's just as good if not better more locally.
K. P.
My flat mate and I ordered their food on deliveroo yesterday, and I must say that if you haven’t eaten from here, you have not had real Indian food in Glasgow. The naan was cooked to perfection and the portions are just right for a single serve meal. The way in which they send the packed food really shows how much they care about food they make, its best I’ve seen so far. Don’t even think twice about eating here, go for it without hesitation.
J. T.
Brilliant ambience and food, very authentic. The Kingfisher lager was not cool enough....
k. J.
Fantastic cafe, food first class, staff lovely.top of list when eating out
M. H.
Really tasty food with great service, only let down slightly by small portions and a lack of vegan options. Please promote the person who picks the tunes in there!
F. W.
Attentive, friendly staff and fabulous food. Each dish was tasty without being too hot with chilli. We had a mixture of different dishes between us which included the best fish pakora we've ever had, and believe me we've had a few. If you love sharing small dishes between a few of you, this is the place to go. Also, good coffee afterwards. If you've read this far then just go and try Chaakoo out for yourselves and order the lemon rice. Yum
C. G.
Visited on 20th July 2021. Excellent quality, good choice of dishes and lovely service. I can't remember the dishes that the four of us ordered now but we all very much enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Hearing Orange Juice's "Bridge" on a great playlist was an added bonus.
D. F.
Truly excellent service and wonderful food that I think represents excellent value for money. Will definitely be returning. Our server was so good. Thank you.
R. W.
We visited Chakoo on a busy Monday night in a large group thinking this may cause a problem we were informed it wouldn't be and a table was quickly organised. The service throughout our stay from all the staff was brilliant and by far the best service we have had whilst in Scotland.
The food was cooked beautifully and there was not a single bit of leftovers which I think speaks more than words.
K. B.
Fab food and service. Staff very helpful and attentive. Made to feel welcome.
K. M.
Amazing food and service.. looking forward to my next visit.
A. S.
Really tasted food, relaxed surroundings and friendly staff.
r. c.
Amazing lunch. Totally worth the money and the wait. We got recommended this by a friend and he loved it too. I would come here again if I lived in Glasgow.
E. M.
Food was outstanding. Great service and fantastic interior
A. A. B.
Ate here last night and food was so good. Ordered a lamb dish and the meat was so soft it literally fell apart, we had some left and took it home and it tasted just as good or even better today! Dum biryani was also amazing. Service was fast despite being busy. Very similar atmosphere to Dishoom Edinburgh but cheaper and food was slightly better! Definitely a new favourite.
a. j.
Excellent Tapas style Indian Restaurant, suggest you try it you will not be disappointed.
A. A.
Very nice food, cool atmosphere. Not your typical Indian food spread but that's what makes it stand out. Would recommend.
J. H.
Great environment and food. Lovely staff too
T. T. G. M.
The menu at Chaakoos in St Vincent Street had hardly any vegan choices at all, but luckily, the woman who served us came to the rescue and asked the kitchen to give me a spinach sauce sans the paneer. She also allowed me to order Roti (Indian flat bread) instead of the naans, none of which were vegan. I also orgered a chickpea and mushroom curry and a side salad.
The food was so delicious that I ate past the point of being stuffed. The ice cream and sorbet is priced per scoop. And the scoops we had were generous.
Nice selection of wines, cider and beer too.
The staff were brilliant. I'd definitely return.
J. L.
I thoroughly enjoyed the lunch time meal I had here. The staff were all so friendly and the lamb was some of the best I've ever had. Will definitely be back
O. S.
Best curry in glasgow. Could do with more draft beers. Otherwise faultless
J. K.
Everything- food, staff, service, prices - is good! We enjoyed!
E. K. W.
The food is very nice however sometimes the food takes longer to come . The dishes are always up to the mark and quality of the food is fantastic . Its very family friendly and the abience is very fun and the decore and vibe is very urban and exciting . The toilets are always very clean. The seating arangments very organized.
m. c.
I really enjoyed my meal here, but it's an expensive way to eat. We tried five different dishes, a smoked chicken kebab, a keema muttar, a South Indian chicken, an achari gosht and another lamb dish. All were very good examples of each kind of dish. The keema muttar was slightly thicker in consistency than the versions I remember from Pakistan, but the rich, meaty flavour was there. The South Indian chicken was fizzing with overdose levels of black pepper, lemony, aromatic and hot. The achari dish tasted strongly of aijwan and kalonji seeds, beautiful. The mint chutney served with the kebab was one of the best I've ever tasted. With a portion of rice and two garlic 'naan' (they were more like tandoori rotian) it was enough to make two people adequately stuffed. With drinks (2 pints of nice IPA) it came to £55. I could eat as well for less but I would have less variety.
M. N.
Try out curry dishes along with naan💫
J. H.
My mum with me have a dinner yesterday. She said like various 🍛 really beautiful and I said really real quality curry good homemade curry very excellent 100%
P. M.
Absolutely first class ,fantastic food and flavours and great service, will be back
J. B.
Amazing food, lots of small portions at decent prices so can be a cheap night out if you want or special occasion banquet depending
E. R.
Food is delicious, don't let the tapas style menu trick you - curry portions are perfect for one. I recommend getting sundries and sides to share
M. B.
Great food and pleasant, helpful staff ❤
D. K.
Amazing food. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonable prices for excellent food
C. M.
Great food, excellent service and make sure to try the dark matter
J. D.
Tasty small plates to share (or not). Absolutely delicious food, great service. Definitely worth a visit.
R. S.
Had the most amazing meal! Lovely staff and atmosphere, everything we ordered was delicious and thanks to Chaakoo I have now discovered a love for coconut ice cream!
K. W.
We had the most fabulous lunch today and Allegra was an absolute dream, it was so lovely to have someone with knowledge, manners and also time to speak to the customers she is worth her weight in gold
A. A.
We had lunch today whilst visiting our son at Glasgow uni. You could say we ended up here by accident as the place we intended going didn't have any gluten free options.
This was the best accident ever to happen to us. The food was absolutely superb, and we are very choosy with our Indian (excuse the generic description) cuisine. We had all vegetarian dishes with one fish option. Couldn't choose a winner.
One small thing, but a huge plus point for us. We opted for just water to drink, of which a jug arrived as we did. This was replaced three times without the need to ask, with absolutely no pressure or further requests if we would like other drinks.
The staff were very friendly (especially Pascal, our waiter) and there is a great ambience about the place.
Seriously you will not be disappointed here, and I would be very surprised if, once you have started eating, you don't order more dishes... It's a sort of Indian tapas.
Thanks for a memorable meal!
Andrew
J. S.
Superb Indian food in a cosy friendly atmosphere. Serving staff are welcoming and friendly, explaining the ordering perfectly. You are recommended to have 2 main dishes and optional sides which was the perfect amount, although I couldn't help adding some spicy chips as well after tasting my fellow diner's
H. M.
Amazing food and wonderful staff. A great variety of food that's always freshly made. Even when waiting to be seated this is done as quickly as possible and the staff are all very efficient. Great menu variety and a perfect way to try a selection of dishes you otherwise wouldn't. Think tapas but with Indian food and you have this perfect little place.
M. M.
Great food. Good service.
A. P.
Excellent service and food. Great experience... Will be back.
T. Q.
Very good 'tapas' style small plate menu. I love the mix and match options....a little of this and that. Every dish was really delicious. The staff were fantastic. Service was quick. Very coronavirus-safe. Tip - don't order the house draught lager. It's not great. I hope to return and sample more of their interesting menu - and try their bottled beers next time. Recommended.
D. E. M.
Food was great. Aesthetic really lovely.
G. L.
Very good decor. Wonderful food.
R. C.
my first ever experience of Indian Cuisine - I had the most enjoyable night - staff fab and food even faber!! if I get to go back to Glasgow again I will be heading straight there! the beer was also fab! thanks everybody for a very memorable night and not even that expensive!
U. R.
Great authentic food, yummy cocktails, lovely atmosphere, staff were really friendly and attentive. Make sure to leave room for dessert and chai !
A. K.
We have been here before. This time we found the food to be a bit too oily
S. B.
Great ambience and food. Staff were friendly and professional
S. M.
Food, Drinks, Service, Ambiance and Value all get 5 stars from me! Easily one of the best Indian restaurants i've visited in Glasgow.
A. K.
Fantastic food and good atmosphere. All courses come out together with the main course portions around the same size as the starters and sides. Order with that in mind (think tapas).
P. X. E.
Delicious food nice staff overall great
t. r.
A great place to have desi food, the atmosphere is amazing & so is the staff.
We stayed in Glasgow for a month & found out about this place near the end, our only regret is that we didn't know of it sooner!!
After we found out, we were here literally every other day!
For most of the days, we were served by Donald amazing guy and really friendly. If we visit Glasgow again definitely coming here once more.
J. W.
Great place hip and happening
Staff very good and friendly. Food modern Indian was tasty full of flavour. Will return for more donuts
M. G.
Loved the Masala Tea here.. food was also awesome.... decoration tooo awesome.... service even better than all.
E. I.
The ultimate taste of Indian food. The chicken tikka masala is a champion. Place is gorgeous!
y. k.
Amazing Indian food.. 5 star experiance when it comes to food. Cozy ambiance.
M. T.
Absolutely faultless. Staff are very knowledgeable and attentive and the food is absolutely stunning. The Indian tapas style allows you to enjoy many different flavours in one meal and although limited, the flavours in the sweet menu are sublime. Highly recommended if you enjoy Indian cuisine.
c. m.
Fantastic tapas style indian! Great decor and very reasonably priced menu! Service is always great too
R. J.
Best restaurant to taste delicious Indian food. Don't forget to try out Pav Bhaji, Vada Pav and Tea which is made in Indian Bombay style. I love this place and will keep visiting. Staff is very helpful, kind and orders are served very quickly.
C. S.
Not Dishoom.
Edit: Super salty response there from the restaurant. This is still a 3 * review mate. To be clear though, I think Chaakoo is fine, the food's nice and the service good, but not only is your concept "borrowed" from Dishoom, but there are quite a few things on the menu that are shamelessly plagiarised from Dishoom's recipe book with nothing more than an extra ingredient or two.
A. F.
Had a great graduation meal here. Food was well spiced and perfectly cooked. The waitress forgot to add an item to the order so provided it free of charge which was appreciated. The prices are middling but not unusual for a trendy joints. Overall a very good experience and will definitely return!
E. W.
A spectacularly fine Indian Restaurant! An absolute 'must' if you are visiting Glasgow and like Indian food. But be sure to pre-book!
S. G.
Great food and service. Was running late to catch a train and was pleasantly surprised by super quick and friendly service and great tasting food. I did cm in just before the rush hour but the diligent n friendly staff
completely won me over. The portion sizes are small for tapas style eating, but the total bill came out within a very reasonable price range.
E. K.
All I can say is, what an absolute feast. Food was superb. First time there but will certainly be back.
c. r.
Lovely food, Great staff and very nice atmosphere. What more can you ask for
P. C.
Great food and wonderful atmosphere. The board had no flirting on it which made me laugh. The staff are friendly and the service faultless. The food is tasty and we are told the portions are small but order a a couple at a time otherwise you could order too much. The service is quick so if you need to order more it will arrive quick.
S. R.
Lovely place for food, has rustic feel to the place but it's very well suited and food was absolutely delicious. Definitely will be visiting again
K. P.
This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Glasgow. The food never disappoints, staff is friendly. Usually busy but have always found a table. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants to have Indian food. Must try dishes: Dal makhni with Garlic Nan, Tandoori Gobi. +10 to the mindful interiors.
K. G.
Delicious Indian food. Would reccommend the monkfish curry. Great service. Had goan cocktail - perfect. Great meal in lovely surroundings!!
k. p. t.
Typical Bombay soul food with wonderful service
A. S.
Food was delicious. Portion is small. If you want to have some Indian food then do try this place. The naan and the curries were quite good. Definitely try the dal makhni (lentil curry) with the naan.
Extra points for the rest room. It's absolutely clean and comforting :) cheers
T. T.
Great bustling atmosphere, and fun "train" themed decoration was a great backdrop for a casual meal with a friend. It took half an hour to get seated, but the cocktail served us beer and wine beforehand. (You are notified with a vibrating disk, so no worries about being forgotten.) The portions are "Tapas" size, they say. But for us, one dish for each of us was sufficient. I will say that the food is delicious, but doesn't have the raw edge I expect from Indian food. It's a bit neat and tidy. Some will love it like this, others will prefer the other. As I said, it was nevertheless delicious; therefore, I still give it a five star.
P. P.
Omg !!!!!!
Go try their food . It’s amazing. I couldn’t stop eating .
M. H.
Excellent food with a great choice. As we hadn't been before, the waiter explained the menu & offered suggestions. Service was great & the food was delicious. Will definitely be back. Good atmosphere, you could think you were sitting in a railway station in India.
A. F.
The food was stunning, perfectly portioned and the service was great, we even received a couple of bonus dishes as there was a mistake so we got to try a couple extra dishes.
The vibe, lighting and style of the place is really nice as well, I'm definently going back with some other friends to let them experience it.
Also worth noting, their loose leaf breakfast tea was really good, I say that because often teas like that aren't at restaurants.
Final thing I happened to lose a glove and was able to retrieve it a few days later.
All round one of the best restaurants I've been to this year.
E. G.
Great indian food. Tapas plates for £5, therefore at least £10\15 per head.
S. M.
Busy. Food good but table cluttered. Felt a bit like an Indian buffet that you didn't need to get up for. Service patchy due to how busy place was. Waiter tried to add £20 service charge apparently because we had 7 at our table. I pointed out this was a bit presumptuous and think he took the huff!. So not exactly the standard that the previous reviews had promised. Fairly pricey as well.
A. R.
Excellent selection of smaller dishes. Very friendly staff. Our waiter suggested ordering 2 different dishes each, but we decided to stick with just one with rice or naan bread and it was plenty. Very good value food and a good choice of Indian beers.
R. M.
I had lunch there on a Saturday. You need to make a booking to ensure you get a table. Service was great, the guys and gals serving were very friendly and helpful. Food was served within 20 minutes of ordering. Quality of food was excellent. Cocktails were also fantastic and reasonably priced for the city centre. Highly recommend this restaurant.
A. C.
Hands down the best Indian I've had in a long time! And that includes the mini donut dumplings with syrup for dessert 😍 The staff were all lovely and very attentive. Would highly recommend.
J. G.
Great indian food. Tapas sharing style.
P. N.
Food was great. The staff were marvelous...I would go back any day.
h. h.
First visit, absolutely fantastic. Decor, staff and food were all super with a good choice. We'll be back
J. R.
Amazing tapas-style Indian dishes. Comes out very quickly!
C. “. C.
Always amazing food and a great atmosphere
d. b.
Thought the food and atmosphere was great for our Xmas night out!
S. A. E.
Welcomed by very friendly staff, very nice atmosphere and decoration that makes it feel authentic without overdoing it. The food might be a bit pricey but in return you get a multitude of flavours, with good quality meat and chicken, which also gives you the chance to try a wide variety of dishes without spending too much. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for quality food and a nice evening.
A. M.
Went in for food with my boyfriend on the 4th August. Staff were professional, informative and friendly. The measures they had taken for the pandemic were very reassuring and all staff were wearing masks. We had an amazing evening and will be recommending this place to anyone that will listen. Thank you for a lovely evening.
I wish I knew the names of the staff that we were specifcally served by so that I could post here but unfortuantely I never got them!
S. K.
A nice cozy place to eat. Delightful food.
G. J.
Staff were attentive throughout the night and helpful in dissecting the menu. We were recommended 1 rice and 2 curry pp which turned out to be very filling, and the drinks were also very generous as one large glass lasted the whole meal. Each dish was tasty with a decent amount of spice. I particularly enjoyed the saag paneer!
S. G.
Fantastic flavours from the food with a enjoyable atmosphere. Loved the concept (almost like an indian tapas). The local waitress was knowledgeable of the dishes which was brilliant and made me apreachate the level of detail they must go to behind the scenes.
R. M.
On a holiday with family very tasty food dal, raita, were superb getting such taste was a pleasant surprise would recommend to visit
D. W.
This was is like an equivalent of Liverpool's version of Mowgli. This was set in a stunning building. Staff knew menus well and recommended dishes. Helpful and attentive. Food was absolutely gorgeous! They recommended 2-3 dishes per person which was about right. Definitely would come to this restaurant again.
T. W.
Food is excellent. Spices are well blended creating rich and delicious dishes. My only criticism is the booking process. What's the point of booking a table if you have to stand waiting for it for 25min?
J. G.
Excellent place with a nice vibe and friendly staff. A tapas-style menu that is good value. The grilled/tandoori stuff that we had was particularly good - prawns and paneer & vegetables. A decent lunch menu of tandoori wrap + chips is great value too.
A. S.
Simple great food. Some of the lunchtime deals are literally outstanding. Imagine a kinda Indian Tapas that tastes amazing..... always good service. If u r going of and evening defo make a booking
M. H.
I did enjoy the food , and smelled really great walking in , the staff are really nice and very attentive , small portions so choose more would definately return
D. M.
Enjoyed the food, friendly staff, just unfortunate that a waiter smashed a glass next to our table, accidents happen but maybe they shouldn't pile glasses up at the bar!
k. n.
Truely authentic food, fantastic location, the atmosphere is really charming. They offer small plates so that you can select a range of choices to enjoy. We have been several lunchtimes and felt completely comfortable and relaxed.
m. s.
The food is usually nice but it was disappointing the lamb achari was so salty l found it difficult to eat wouldn't order it again otherwise nice service from the staff please make the chef aware far too much salt it really spoilt our meal.
S. C.
One of the best Indians I’ve ever had in my life! Atmosphere and staff were both wonderful and the food was top notch. We ordered everything and I recommend you do the same.
D. G.
Some of the best street food I've eaten.
P. S.
Absolutely amazing place. Great staff, beautiful food and great prices. Staff was really attentive but not too much, just spot on, even though we cane in just before the closing time. Foodwise, brilliant, can't go wrong. Surprisingly cheap for such an experience. We'll done
S. D.
This is gonna be the best food you've ever had. The kebabs are just on another level, really rich and tasty, mouthwatering smoky taste, its eatables gold basically. The currys are so perfectly made you can tell the slow cook process and the skilled chef. If you haven't been here already you've been missing out big times.
S. B.
This is an absolutely fantastic restaurant. The decor ambiance food and staff are outstanding. Vegetarian samosas light and non greasy. Salads rice and curries flavoursome. We will definitely be back guys. Thank you.
R. J.
Went for an evening meal. Decent curry. Small plates in an excuse for ridiculous prices though. Half the food for double the cost.
Food is nice but not good enough to justify the cost.
UPDATE: I had originally gave this 2 stars but reconsidered after lunch visits. The lunch is fantastic value! A starter, a curry with rice or chips for under £10. Would recommend going for dinner but would thoroughly recommend going for lunch!
J. F.
My regular place to go for amazing tasty food....staff excellent and service is swift.
N. E.
Fantastic food, beautiful flavours, decent portions, excellent service and great value for money. The aromas and ambience are second to none and the sharing plate makes it an enjoyable experience. Love it!
P. M.
Great food at a good price.
K. A.
Good selection of small plate/tapas style Indian food which lived up to expectations set by the menu. Service was good and fairly quick. Lively place and can be a bit noisy so not ideal for a quite night out!
C. B.
Food is tasty and nice to have a selection of small dishes; I like the masala fries and slaw a lot!The food generally less spicy than some other Indian restaurants in Glasgow (would prefer a little more variation as everything was mild/medium).
Lunch is a bit more interesting/a bit different and they do good deals during the week.
Atmosphere is excellent.service is slick and friendly.Nice retro decor.A nice change in terms of set-up/decor/atmosphere from more traditional Indian restaurants.
s. m.
Been here twice. I like the tapas idea of small portions to allow a better variety of dining experience, the lamb chops are fantastic, some of the best I have eaten. I didn't find the prices too daunting in comparison to other places and the staff are friendly and accommidating even during in busy times (you are given a beeper to alert you to your turn). The bar is well stocked and varied, the prices here are slightly high, but not extortionate.
K. T.
I visited Chaakoo for lunch on Friday and was very impressed with the food and service. I ate from the two course Grill and Curry menu and both dishes were excellent. Very flavoursome and fresh curry and the meat was good quality and nicely prepared. The selection of dishes is great and I'll definitely go back again. A really decent place, for a relaxed, sociable Indian meal.
G. B.
Hands down, the best curry in the UK!
M. M.
Not the best dinning experience. The greeters where friendly but did not work well as a team causing confusion on what tables were available. Their selection of drinks was limited and the server did not know what alternative to offer. Service was slow. The saving grace was the food which could not be faulted and the value for money was excellent . Will wait until they get settled before visiting again.
T.
Lovely venue for a meal with my partner, staff are attentive and the music playing isnt too loud so we could both chat while waiting on dinner, the aroma in the restaurant was quite unique too felt it was a nice touch. Looking to visit their newly opened west end cafe soon to try out some more of the menu :)
D. B.
Yes visited Chaakoo again we had fish pakora and chicken tikka masala and it was beautiful again not a big portion just how I like it.
L. M.
Went with my boyfriend, we got rice, naan bread, 2 curries, wings and chips! All tapas sizes! Was just enough and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly! Very satisfying after a hard day at work! Will be back :)
K. S.
Never had a bad meal at Chakoo is how all my workmates describe this place. Believe this to be one of the best Indian restaurants in Glasgow if not the best. Good ambience and amazing staff. Only issue, you can’t just drop in, during dinner time. Always reserve a table before to head to this place in the evenings.
A.
Brilliant set price lunch menu options and a larger menu is also available. We ordered from the lunch menu and the pakora was fresh and flavoursome. The main courses were delicious and I loved the masala fries.
The selection of desserts available on the main menu was very good however I opted for a milkshake as a sweet treat to round off this lovely lunch.
Service was excellent - welcomed and seated immediately, menu options clearly explained before being given time to make our selections. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Loved the decor and signage, especially the staff rules sign.
K. N.
Irani’s cam never go wrong with the food😉
C. H.
Went for an evening meal with a bunch of people. Found the food to be tasty, but the portions were small for the price. Liked the ambiance, but wouldn't hurry back given other options locally.
The sharing menu just didn't cut it
G. S.
Really liked this place! Right in the city centre, close to the railway station. Not your average Indian restaurant, and lots of unusual dishes to try. I had a dal and a lamb dish, both were very good. Rice and nan bread, and the waitress gave us an extra garlic nan which had been made by mistake. The dishes are smaller than the usual style, which gives a chance to try something new. I'll be back for sure.

To expensive we small bowls off food you would give a child it no I would not recommend this place at all x
C. W.
Had an excellent meal in a beautiful building. The restaurant makes you feel as though you've walked onto a movie set, and generally the atmosphere is very welcoming and intriguing. The Handi Lamb was fantastic, as was everything we ordered. I was very excited by their breakfast menu and will definitely be coming back to try it out!

Being an Indian its very difficult to find a Very Authentic Food place to try out in the UK. However, during our Visit in Glasgow we thought of trying this cafe out and am absolutely happy to say 'Dont miss Out'. Its such an authentic food experiance and ambience. There is seperate seating space with Toilet for Families. The portions are Tapas style (Small Portions) however, really enjoyed the Food. Spices was spot on and all the dishes we ordered tasted absolutely amazing.
L. P.
Good menu with quite the selection of curries, sides, rice dishes etc and the drinks menu was great. Portion sizes seem small at first but they are more than enough and allows you to order many different dishes to share on the table. The butter chicken, Rogan Josh, garlic chilli chicken were all mouthwatering and delicious, and the garlic naan was flavoursome. Loved my jasmine mocktail and the mango lassi was good too. Had to wait for a bit at the bar without a booking but the bar tender was friendly.
K. D.
Fantastic varied menu. Staff friendly and informative. Booking is advisable as gets busy 5 onwards
R. C.
Great food. Service almost too fast. Friendly service. Feel and style a little confused. Obviously a similar aim as dishoom in London however it also has a fast food style with cutlery on table and napkin servers. Music blasting was interesting and didn't help make me feel I was at an authentic Irani Indian. Cannot complain as pricing was spot on and food was great just the theme and style needs focus
D. S.
Lovely place, great food, fast & friendly service.
A. O.
My friend and I enjoyed our lunch as usual and the friendly and helpful staff. We love the atmosphere too.
U. M.
Food was brilliant, came out quickly and they warn you the portion size is small so you order enough. Staff were friendly.
We ordered alcohol free drinks and waited halfway through our meal to get them but they apologized and ended up giving us them for free
Would highly recommend.
S. S.
Food and ambiente is ok at best. The staff is really nice. The interior is completely contradictory to the food theme, since it looks like a French bistro, not sure what's up with that 😂 However, our IPAs were stale, the portions way too small, even if you order multiple dishes. The garlic on the nan was from a pretty bad garlic quality and tasted bad and weird, also too much butter on the nan. Overall I wouldn't recommend a friend going there. The dishes do not taste like really good Indian food, but just ok. The ratings are ridiculously over the top here.
D. H.
Chakoo has become our permanent go to place whenever we visit Glasgow, Love the food love the atmosphere, great staff with complete knowledge. Right size of portions leaving with no food waste. Only prob we faced was the Legroom on our table was absolutely cramped to get in and out especially for old age.
A. L.
Came here for a family meal. Was looked after very well. Food was mostly 'tapas style' and nicely presented and tasted good - although one salad item was overly spicy for a salad - perhaps containing a sweet chilli type dressing that I wasn't aware of when ordering. They kindly removed that item from the bill though! Would go back.
D. A.
Had a brilliant meal at Chaakoo on Saturday 31st August. The food was delicious, freshly prepared and so tasty. Our server Lauren was a wee star nothing was too much trouble for her, she made us very welcome. We will be back!‼️
S. D.
Firstly, staff are amazing, genuinely attentive in looking after you. We had the Tiffin Lunch Menu with a side of Fish Pakora, utterly delicious! I love that water is delivered to your table without asking!
On the list for a dinner experience!
J. L.
Tapas style Indian food. Good variety of options, quick service. Curries are not too spicy. Perfect for those who like to try a bit of everything!
S. S.
Nice for Indian food in Glasgow ,i liked the food here the interior of the place looks nice.
Will recommend if you in Glasgow try this place.
A. C.
Hands down the best Indian I've had in a long time! And that includes the mini donut dumplings with syrup for dessert 😍 The staff were all lovely and very attentive. Would highly recommend.
E. G.
Great indian food. Tapas plates for £5, therefore at least £10\15 per head.
G. G.
Mouth watering

Excellent food and service 👌 😋

Excellent food, quick service and friendly staff.

Amazing food and wonderful staff. A great variety of food that's always freshly made. Even when waiting to be seated this is done as quickly as possible and the staff are all very efficient. Great menu variety and a perfect way to try a …
S. C.
One of the best Indians I’ve ever had in my life! Atmosphere and staff were both wonderful and the food was top notch. We ordered everything and I recommend you do the same.
T. Q.
Very good 'tapas' style small plate menu. I love the mix and match options....a little of this and that. Every dish was really delicious. The staff were fantastic. Service was quick. Very coronavirus-safe. Tip - don't order the house …
M. B.
Could not recommend this place enough food waa so amazing and will definitely be retuning
O. S.
Overall, a decent place, but overrated. Having been here around 5+ times now, I think I have experienced chaakoo enough times to affirm that this is a decent place, but not amazing.
Chaakoo was a restaurant that came highly recommended by many friends from different circles. They all loved the place, but I think it's born of hype rather than quality of the food or service. By no means is it bad. The food tastes ok and the service is standard, but it's not enough for me to say that it is deserving of a top restaurant reputation, which is the way it has been presented to me.
I have been fortunate enough to travel far and wide and try many dishes and different experiences. Maybe that is why I rated this 3 stars, because to me Chaakoo is my expectation of a decent restaurant. But I do have high standards, so that isn't bad. I will try to justify the rating.
The portion sizes leave a bit to be desired, the service is average at best and I haven't tried a dish that left me feeling amazed. The old fashioned was nice but over priced. And that basically sums up my experience, it's nice but I don't think I'm getting great value.
I think that Chaakoo has great marketing and success and at the end of the day, that's all a a business wants. You'll always find it busy and lively, and the drinks are nice. It's well located being close to many offices and retailers. It caters to its crowd.
But if you're looking for something that's going to give you bang for your buck and an amazing experience, this probably isn't the place.
T. M.
The food was very well cooked and extremely tasty. This is a "tapas-style" restaurant so is a pricey for what you get. I believe they do a very good lunch service which is better value for money.
M. A.
Amazing Indian food, the grilled chicken (I don't remember the dish name) and lemon rice and butter chicken are the best
D. R.
4 friends and I ate here last night for the first time. Varied tapas style menu. Great food and service, in smart, brasserie style surroundings. We’ll be recommending here, and going back ourselves.
J. L.
Great food and the sharing style works well with their dishes letting you try out a few different items.
The service is terrible though, visits have seen the table waiting up to 20mins just to be asked if we would like some water! You will have to chase serving staff for drinks, food and your bill. Once your items ate ordered they do materialise exceptionally fast.
P. “. M.
Absolutely outstanding, service is on point, food is quite possibly the best Indian food I've had .. would like say that staff are great, very helpful in every way.. will recommend and will be back very soon.
Cheers ChaaKoo..
P. M. c.
Went here recently, absolutely fantastic, service food hygiene absolutely excellent, would recommend a visit, we will be back!!! ❤️
N. B.
This is the best Indian Restaurant.. Veg options have authentic taste, however limited options in veg... but u fall in love with the food...
Dal makhani was scrumptious and super delicious... same as expected..
Must visit n my fave Indian restaurant in Glasgow.
I had ordered lunch menu, which will suffice one medium eater...
J. C.
Good food, nice atmosphere, great music and the service was good. The dishes are a bit small but the staff advise to order at least 2 per person. Would recommend
k. g.
I checked in with my spouse and daughter. Ordered for smoked chicken Tikka kabab and lamb chops in starter.. dum biriyani and lamb Rogan Josh in main course..food quantity was a bit small if compared with other Indian restaurants in Glasgow. But food quality was decent ..all went well until I ordered for gulab jamun in desserts..it was not gulab jamun but doughnut balls with sugar cyrup..it was a bit my mistake too as the staff who was serving food, warned me about the authenticity of the dessert menu..but overall a thumbs up for this restaurant if you're not obsessed about Indian desserts..
C. “.
Great place, lovely meal. It's great being able to pick a few smaller portions to give variety to the experience. Staff were friendy, helpful and knowledgeable.
M. B.
Popped in for a spot of lunch while in town, as I'd heard about the Indian Tapas that was being served.
I was seated straight away and the waitress readily explained the menu and how the Tapas situation worked. I ordered my food, smoked chicken, butter chicken curry, jeera rice and naan bread.
The food and drinks were brought out very quickly and the staff were incredibly attentive throughout.
The food was delicious, all of it cooked with great detail to the flavours, each dish was very tasty.
If I ever find myself in Glasgow again I will return.
R. B.
Came in 3 minutes before the kitchen closed but Andrew gracefully offered me a table to eat after a long travel from London. His service was fantastic and the food was great. I'll definitely visit again!
N. T.
We were in 4 days ago. Curry and briyani was quite salty but the chicken wings was perfect and the service was great
T. C.
Top quality food.
M. J.
Decent place, usually packed on weekends (so book). Drinks are ok, food is very mild and not spicy. Staff are a little all over the place but the food is delivered very quickly (less than 5min). Expect roughly below £20 per person + drinks.
W. C.
Went for dinner on a Friday night, full of people, glad we had a table booked!
Great atmosphere in the restaurant, friendly staff explained the menu and we went for about 12 or 13 dishes, including naans between 5 of us.
Food tasted great, really enjoyed the daal makhani and saag paneer (both veggie dishes and I'm a meat eater).
Would definitely return if I'm back in Glasgow
A. M.
The service was good and friendly and we got a nice spot in the booth, albeit by a toilet, but that was ok. Our server explained the menu clearly, unfortunately they were out of the monkfish which is what we wanted. I'd say the food tasted pretty good and might go back there for a more casual lunch but not sure about dinner as the drinks weren't the best. If you haven't been to Dishoom you will probably love this place, if you have then you can't help but make comparisons and of course the original comes out on top. Overall it was nice, minus 1 star for being copycats.
A. B.
Love this place! Butter chicken, lamb bhuna and wings were the highlights. Whoever said this is Glasgow's equivalent of Mowgli is wrong, the food here is miles better.
M. J.
This place is just great. Amazing food that somehow arrives fast without it seeming like it is fast food. Flavoursome and diverse. Good service and great cocktails too. Will return
U. P. (.
I am from Thailand and I have just lived in Glssgos for 1 month.
But I think this is the most delicious restaurant for me.
The taste of the food is spicy enough for Thai people. I recommend lots of my friends to try this restaurant.
N. M.
Fantastic food with a great atmosphere. The Chai tea and the mango and banana crumble were top notch! Amber was also really nice and attentive to our needs.
D. C.
Perfect , the friendly staff explained to us regarding portion sizes and the best way to order meal . The meals were delicious one of the best indian meals we've had highly recommended
C. B.
Food was ok better than other places, didnt like the place though too small and they seated us under the stairs & u have people going up & down while you eat with the open staircase imagine your food with dust from foot steps over the stairs. The staff were careless they keep pumping in to you while you eat. The waiter though was friendly & nice with us. Dont think i would go there again.
اكله حيل عادي مافي شي ذاك الزود... المكان زحمه وصغير وعلي السمعه الي خذاها ما يستاهل العنوه.. مع انه اكله مقارنه مع الي موجود في غلاسكو جيد.
M. S.
Fast service, place is buzzing, Kerala fish was good, biryani was a let down. I've never found impressive biryani in Britain tho as traditionally it's a highly complicated dish many good cooks can't actually make so this isn't actually a massive criticism. Felt just a tiny bit overpriced but maybe this is just down to location. It is a different atmosphere from other Indian places in Glasgow, kind of like a less fancy version of Dishoom. All in, worth going.
J. G.
Tasty curries served in a tapas style. It's nice to be able to try a couple of curries without breaking the bank/ being gluttenous. The rice and naan were fine, but nothing special. Staff are very accommodating and atmosphere is fun and friendly.
K. D. P.
Very good restaurant. Staff were friendly and service was also fast. Located at City center (just 5 mins walk from Glasgow Queen Street station). Nice place to taste India dishes at a reasonable price.
J. J.
Great food. Vegan choices easy & delicious. Lots workers nipped in so service so so quick. Quirky and interest decor...lots to catch your eye and chat about. I'll be calling again x
E.
Small plates for sharing, we got saag paneer, daal, chicken, rice, okra, naan and chai. The okra dish was disappointing as the okra was tough - but still giving it 5 stars as all the other dishes were spot on. The atmosphere is good and best restrooms in glasgow. Well, I don't know if they are the best but top ten. It deserves all the positive reviews.
R. S.
I loved it.
We had Tandoori Prawns, Garlic Chilli Chicken, Garlic Naan, Lemon Rice and Raita. Everything was super.
One of the best Indian restaurants in the UK.
G. C.
Busy restaurant, but the service was excellent. Great variety of dishes which we all shared and enjoyed. I would recommend booking ahead. Will definitely go back..
l. h.
Fantastic food, really good service, lively atmosphere. Great cocktails!
S. G.
Great lunch options, fantastic staff and would certainly recommend for lunch.
A. S.
Been twice. Excellent service beaten only by the quality of the food. It is our new face Indian in Glasgow !
K. J.
Nice building (looks like an old style pub), nice food and helpful / friendly staff. I really like the concept of the place (tapas style Indian Street food). The prices are there or thereabouts, so no issue there. Desserts were disappointing and somewhat misleading (a chocolate mousse with broken Crunchie pieces on it is not a Toblerone Chocolate Mousse and Gulab Jaman should not simply be miniature donuts!). That's not to mention the milkshake that was ordered but did not arrive (despite initially appearing on the final bill). Still enjoyed the evening there though and the reason to go (the Indian food) was good.
G. F.
Food was absolutely wonderful! Thoroughly enjoyed everything we had. The service was great as well. Very pleased with the decision to give this place a go!
M. S.
Lovely lunch menu, service was great as was the food. We will definitely be back.
S. M.
Food was tasty, server was polite and friendly. We were disappointed that there was no Prosecco and that the only other option apart from a £20 bottle of champagne for £60, was a £28 bottle of cava available in any supermarket for £5.95. You expect to pay more for a bottle in a restaurant but seems a bit extreme, especially for low quality booze.
J. A.
Lovely atmosphere with great music. Remember being apprehensive about trying somewhere new but after my first visit, I was Hooked. It's now my 4th visit in 2months and I'm still loving it. Lovely staffs as well and easy on the eyes too and good banter
D. L.
Staff very friendly, polite, helpful and the food was absolutely divine.
E. D.
Amazing food, space and atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Everything we ordered was extremely tasty. We'll be back soon.
T. O. M.
Wish i could give it 6 stars. Pakoras, Raita, jeera rice and madras chips are just some of the highlights and the best pakoras, rata ect ive ever had from any where... gutted I live 210 miles away! Come to Wigan!
S. I.
Awesome food. Delicious! Delicious!! Delicious!!! Centrally located, the service was fantastic and quick. The place has a very good energy to it. A must try if you like Indian food.
C. L.
We had a great night. Excellent service at a busy tie. Great quality food at a reasonable price in a really central location. Perfect
j. O.
Not a big fan of mini Tapas sized Indian meals, which are nice enough, but poor value. Would rather just order a normal sized main than faff about with 3 or 4 mini dishes.
L. H.
We really like Chaakoo and recently went there with some visitors to Glasgow. For those who have not been before, it is a sort of indian tapas - which is great because you can try lots of different dishes even if only going as a couple.
Their monkfish curry is absolutely wonderful. As is their cauliflower. They have added cauliflower pakora as well which we tried and this was good too. We also had the lamb madras which tasted amazing but was quite hot. Only downside is that they put sugar into their raita and when asked (previous visit, not this one) were unable to give me a sugar free version.
S. M.
Excellent choice and all the food we had was delicious. Similar idea to Mother Idea cafe in that dishes are tapas style so you get to pick a couple of smaller things to try.
D. P.
I was there at lunch time on Friday. Chakoo Bombay was a bit crowded, but it didn't bother me to feel confortable. I liked the interior design and atmosphere. Music was relaxing and perfect as background when having discussions with your friends or enjoying the meal. I ordered butter chicken, smoked chicken and masala fries. Everything was well prepared and tasty as expected. I recommand everyone who is a fan of this food to visit this place. Ideal for groups of 2-4 people. The only disadvantage is a bit slow service which I think can be explained by the specific time slot we came.
E. R.
This was one of the best Curry houses we have eaten in. The Tapas style menu is brilliant as it is possible to sample multiple curries. Service was prompt and informative with good recommendations.
P. K. J.
This has great atmosphere and decent indian food. We only tried vegeterian options in their menu.
Would recommend it if you are in a mood to try a different type of indian food but don't go there expecting for an authentic taste.
A. C.
Food lovley ,good service and nice decor
R. B.
Had a wonderful meal with friends here. The staff are superb and the food is just delicious. I can’t wait to go back and sample the food again.
B. p.
Had some lovely food here which was actually very tasty and loved the setup there as it's not your typical Indian which i liked as was more modern. The service was also fairly good but of course not cheap..
C. G.
Pretty straight forward. Its an Indian restaurant thats not really an Indian but an Iranian selling what we take to be Indian food in a small plate Mexican taco style format. Simple. Beautiful building and awesome food. Book!
J. C.
Delicious food with great service. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here as there was a lot of variety on the menu!
L. T.
Average. Had some nan bread and jasmine cocktail. The service was great but food and drink was average.
S. K.
Hands down to the best chicken curry I have had in any restaurant anywhere in the world. Service was good as well. Anyone visiting Glasgow, i would highly recommend it.
F. S.
We've been to many Indians but this is the one that curried favour with us! But seriously, the food was amazing and so filling. Would definitely recommend the mint lassie, peshwiri naan and the donuts. The staff were great and accommodating for our baby who needed a high chair (even she loved the naan).
S. G.
If you like Dishoom.. u will find this a familiar place
S. L.
Unreal food and atmosphere and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Most certainly recommend 👌🏻
F.
Excellent food, served tapas style. Came here with four and we got about six small dishes, two orders of rice, two orders of naan, two pots of chai and shared everything.
E. T.
Tapas style curries and breads. Almost too many choices but the servers were very helpful in suggesting options for our group. Nice cocktails options.
T. R.
Great interesting food, not your run of the mill Indian restaurant good. Friendly efficient, staff, quick service, reasonable prices.
D. L.
Food was quite nice here but with it being tapas style the portions were very small. You need to order 3 or 4 things which makes it quite an expensive meal. Staff were too mostly busy to cope properly, but it was a Saturday night.
G. S.
Food was excellent and staff was really helpful. We ended our family day out with this place and it made us really happy. Would love to go there again.
n. l.
A tiffin box treat from the spicy food gods. I've visited a couple of times and enjoyed it both times. Quick, tasty food with a nice little kick. Very central and nice decor / vibe.
J. M.
This is a fabulous little restaurant, excellent selection of small dishes, very nice
R. Q.
Very nice concept, but small portion size. Best Naan breads we've ever tasted in UK. Keema-matar was awful. And very tough meat in both lamb biryani and rogan Josh.
Decor is amazing, takes you back to an Irani Cafe in Bombay.
E. I. U. (.
Beautiful ambience, lovely atmosphere, friendly cheerful staff. I asked for a surprise birthday gift at short notice, and they delivered. My first time there, but I'll definitely go there again and will recommend it to my friends.
J. M.
Indian tapas with a few twists on the classics. Curry, naans and chicken tikka all top notch. Larger than expected inside but warm and inviting. Bombay cafe styling inside with some fun signs to keep you amused. Mezzanine area good to watch the goings on of the world. Service impeccable.
K. G.
Excellent food, great atmosphere and very accommodating staff. Highly recommended!
Lunch Menu for £10 is excellent as is the Chai.
R. L.
great friendly service and great food.
There was a group of 16 of us, we didn't prebook and they still managed to serve is quickly. There was a couple of mistakes but they sorted them super quickly and were great about it. Will definitly be back!
D. L. W. C.
Little gem of a restaurant
The food is awesome
Potions are perfect for me
Decor is interesting
Loads to keep the eye occupied while waiting for food.. n that doesn’t take long
Loved the quality of meat they used
Melts in your mouth
Staff are gr8... excellent service
It’s my fav restaurant
K. F.
Great Indian, tapas style so smaller dishes but order 3/4 and its plenty , amazing flavours , can recommend, butter chicken , Bombay potatoes and sag paneer !
R. F.
Chaakoo offers a small selection of extremely nice vegan food. I'd eat their mushroom channa everynight if given the option. Tasty cocktails and Indian beers are the icing on top 👌
h.
Was on the way back to Dublin popped in for a beer as I was waiting on the bus if the food is as half as good as it smells you are on to a winner
J. W.
Amazing Vibe, Amazing Food, Amazing place. A must if you are in Glasgow.
P. W.
In for a quick bite on Sunday evening, fast and friendly. Excellent COVID safe practises and delicious food. Spot on. We'll be back! cheers
C. C.
Great vibe! When was the last time you read that about an Indian restaurant? Food is good. I like the small tapas like portions. Three mains and rice for a grown man is about right.
S. W.
Great place to have food when you are in Glasgow. Just like Irani style Bombay cafés. It was nostalgic. The reason I have 4 stars is because the naans were good but not there yet like India. Spoke to the server who had been to India for an educational tour, very enthusiastic and informative.
A. M.
Fab. Little scrummy yummy plates of Indian food best shared with friends...so you can taste more without filling up! Awesome. Can't wait to go back and back and back!!
J. C.
Lovely food and great service.
A. S.
Nice restaurant within city center area of glasgow. Menu is short and sweet. I had Rommali Roti with Panner and vegetable which was very good. Do note though, it serves tapas menu, so quantity is not good for sharing.
C. H.
Great food for amazing prices!
D. E.
lunch menus fantastic great value and service was good. A place with nice atmosphere and no pressure on drinks at lunch. Food was served well and taste was fantastic. Would highly recommend this place for lunch.
