Have ordered from Clay Oven a fair few times. Food is always great, big portions and well worth the wait. By far one of the best Indian/Pakistani takeaways in Glasgow. Would highly recommend.

Quality take away. We order from East Kilbride to collect. Had a set meal with Veg Pakora, south Indian Chilli Chicken Tikka, garlic nan and rice. Spectacular curry bursting with flavours and perfectly spiced.

I ordered through Uber Eats. The delivery was over an hour late!. When the food finally arrived, I have to admit it was pretty good. However ordered a set meal for 1 and there was enough to feed a small nation. Considering this is called Clay Oven Express, I think they should consider a change of name!

Best takeaway Indian in the area with cracking tasty mains and friendly staff. Watch out tho as it is extremely busy on a weekend, so be prepared for a worthwhile wait for your fabby food. The team do give (imo) accurate wait times to help you plan your evening, and that's a big help.

I have been using this establishment since it opened, and I think the quality of the food is excellent and well priced. The staff are knowledgeable and very pleasant,and the home delivery service first class. Since the lockdown, they have been providing a home delivery only service, I am a key worker and really appreciate it after a hard day's work! very well done- much appreciated!

It’s absolutely delicious. Especially the Desi Masala and the Saag. My go-to Indian takeaway in the south side - and it’s not as if there isn’t much choice. It can be a wait for a delivery but the food is worth it and the folk who work there and deliver are nice, too.

I ordered a takeaway from the clay oven for 4 people and overall we very much enjoyed the meal. The portions were very generous, and my vegetarian partner who is very hard to please, really enjoyed her veggie Korma. I have to admit that I personally didn't enjoy the butter chicken masala as much, but that was more down to personal taste, not the quality of the food. I very much intend to try something else from here next time, as everybody else really loved their Currys. As far as Southside tandooris go, this place is my favourite so far. Also great customer service, keeping us up to date via a phone call.

Best Indian I’ve had in Glasgow. Always tasty and good portion sizes. Absolutely loved the restaurant in Shawlands and was gutted when it closed. Well worth going out of the way to get a takeaway from the Giffnock original though. The peshwari naan is always a delight.

Some of the best curry we've had in Glasgow. I had the Tikka Masala and my wife had something with butter in the title. Each with a side of peshwari naan. The lamb in my dish was tender and the curry was flavorful. We got takeaway so I cannot comment on the dining in experience here. The amount of naan was also impressive. I usually have to ration my naan but that wasn't a problem here. We will definitely be back.

I had high hopes for this place as they assured me they concentrated only on curry's! Well I was pretty disappointed as it was very overbearing of spices, I don't mean hot but just way too many spices and why oh why so much ginger...far too much in the curry base sauce. It was like having a ginger curry! and no I didn't order a ginger curry. So the same as everywhere else in and around Glasgow needs to have far less root ginger and far less spices, I don't meant hot I mean less spices, the curry's here, in and around Glasgow are too harsh. The curry sauce should be a gentle vegetable flavour for all the curries other than of course madras, vindaloo ie the hot curry's but all the other curry's should be a gentle vegetable flavour and of course some spices but not overly done with spices otherwise the curry becomes too harsh and overbearing with spices. You should also not be able to taste the ginger in curry either which here and all other places in and around Glasgow you can! A sure sign that too much ginger has been added to the base sauce of a curry is if you can taste the ginger in the curry. If you want a good balanced curry sadly you have to go all the way to Edinburgh or England, the closest place to Glasgow that does a good curry is Bangla Kitchen in Edinburgh then most Indian Restaurants/take aways in Carlisle in England and of course most places in England. The chilli sauce was not chilli sauce it was a sweet sauce....tasted like it had mango chutney, tomato ketchup, sugar and yogurt in it or atleast some of those things? Thats not how chilli sauce is made, chilli sauce should not have ANY of those things in it, chilli sauce should be made with : Salt Pepper Chilli Turkish Mutti Passata Onions Peppers Celery All cooked together and then blended. Hopefully these things can be added/changed :)

I ordered a meal for 2, a chicken pakora to start a chicken jalfrezi and chickenkorma for main with a rice each changed the nan bread the chicken pakora was cooked to perfection :) as was the jalfrezi chicken so tender the sauce was amazing very pleased, the chicken korma was the same cooked to perfection the rice was nicely cooked also with a strip of cinnamon inside to give it extra taste so I will definitely be using CLAY OVEN again :) best Indian in the south side by far and the prices are very reasonable for such quality food thanks again :D
