Family of 4 meal, kids 16 & 10. 10yr old wasn't keen on the menu but the 16yr old polished off what she didn't eat. Nicest steak I have ever had, attentive service & no issues parking. Cocktails are lovely too.

Heard a lot about the restaurant so thought I'd give it a go with 5 adults and 2 kids. I ordered the steak which was good and rest of food looked nice except the starters which seemed over priced and small portions. The service was the issue. Took staff a long time to clear our table and the decor and atmosphere was very cold. Steak was good though so I'll be back for another.

I have been to Cut on a few occasions now and would say to avoid it at the weekend! We waited over an hour for our steak. The steak was tasty but very fatty (not the best cut of meat), very unexpected for a steakhouse. The cut should be superior for the superior price. I have never been disappointed when I visited on a weekday. Maybe there is a lack of staff at the weekend and they can't cope with the number of customers. I did see a few people ask why it was taking so long to be served.

The young 16 year old waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything. The food was lovely, husband enjoyed selection of beers (I drove) however we sat VERY close to another couple, was a little awkward but didn't put us off and the steak was AMAZING! Been here a few times and always looking to go back.

Fantastic food. Prawn and crayfish starter excellent..followed by Best Steak ever. ... My family surprised me for my 70th birthday.. so being a mature foodie😀when I say food was Excellent...l mean Excellent.!....Staff attentive and friendly. This place is fantastic. The fillet steak is the best I have ever had and I have eaten a few in my time! But the best thing was the service from Mike. He was brilliant and we properly enjoyed our meal here.

We had a lovely meal however 1 or 2 things seriously need to be looked at.A starter £16 for 2 scallops I felt was really poor and on the same trend to be given chips and a tiny pot of sauce when you've paid £80 for a porterhouse steak is mean to say the least surely another vegetable or two would not break the bank .

We visited here this evening as a walk in table for two. We were swiftly greeted and asked to wait ten minutes for a table to become free, not a problem at all seeing as we hadnt even booked! So we had a drink in the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere. We both had the Cut burger, one with beef brisket and the other with chilli beef. These were amazing! Very flavorsome and enjoyable. We were looked after throughout our visit by the friendly staff. 5* all round!

The food was very nice especially the sea bream. The music on Saturday night we found too loud meaning we weren't able to hear all the conversations round the table. The young man who dealt with our table and bill was very friendly and approachable.

Quite a cool place, very nicely designed and really friendly staff. You can’t go to a place like this and not have a steak. It was definitely a good choice, cooked really well with a great barbecue flavour. I had some hand cut chips, but they could do with a bit more cooking. Other than that, the food was great.

I've been to cut twice and each time has been a great experience. The steak is beautifully seasoned and charred which I love. The only thing I'd say is that the chips come with a seasoning on them ( which is very nice, I think it's maybe piri piri) just adding this into my review incase anyone doesn't like this and would prefer to ask for them without. Beautiful food and beautiful surroundings, can't fault this place 💗

Food was very nice, table service was very slow but that was good as we were all chatting and having a catch up so it worked out better. Very young slightly inexperienced staff but we all have to start somewhere. Worst part was when going to the toilets to find guys doing lines, drugs, in the cubicle.

3rd visit for me to “The Cut” and again it did not disappoint. This is my fave eat out place at the moment. From the dramatics of the building to the extremely friendly and helpful staff The Cut just ticks all the right boxes for me. On to the food itself it is truly amazing, portion sizes perfect and deliciously tasty, the mains and the steaks obviously were cooked to perfection, I had the T bone my wife had the fillet with multiple dressing/sauces/sides to accompany them. I love steak so I guess this helps but as I say it’s the whole experience of the place that makes it fantastic. The staff always seem so relaxed, nothing was rushed and everyone was always happy to talk away, we had Paula serve us all night and I must single her out for particular praise, we visited on our wedding anniversary and having busy lives we don’t get out to often but Paula made us feel so welcome, was knowledgeable in everything from the drinks we were choosing to the menu itself. Thank you Paula and we will definitely see you all again soon!!

Cut Bothwell was absolutely fantastic. As a wheelchair user and gluten intolerant to boot it's hard to find somewhere to eat. I had booked in advance and when I turned up the ramp was already set up for me to get in. Once in a kind member of staff helped me with my jacket. After having a look at the menu another member of staff came over and was able to advise on what I could have and what wouldn't be suitable. The food was absolutely delicious and served in good time. The staff were very attentive checking everything was alright with the food, bringing more drinks and generally being on hand to help in any way. When I was leaving one member of staff got my coat and helped me on with it while another was on hand to help me out the door. All in all a five star experience and I will definitely be back. Thank you to the two gentlemen who served us today and compliments to the chef!

Relaxed atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. We had tye sea bass and macaroni bites to start which went down well. For mains we both had the steak frites. Steak and fries were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Ive been looking forward to Cut for a while now and never left disappointed. Will be back again!

Up until visiting The Cut we hadn't been to an indoor restaurant during the pandemic in order to minimise risk but I poked my head in and saw that the tables were a good distance - one even had a screen - the staff were wearing masks, the menus were single use...anyway, decided to go. I was really comfortable with the steps they were taking, and I'd say I'm probably at the extreme end when it comes to risk aversion. But they made it possible to relax and enjoy a night out at a restaurant again :)

First visit and quite disappointed with the service. Only ordered a main course for 3 people and watched another table, who arrived after we had ordered, being served their starter and main course before we had our meal served. We did ask what the delay was and didn't get an explanation. Person we spoke to did apologise and offered a desert 'on the house'. It took more than 40 minutes to serve our main course, which, for three simple dishes, is unacceptable. No matter how the food is, an experience like this wastes the whole evening.

Never heard of the place until we got a gift voucher as part of an engagement gift. WOW the place look amazing, staff were polite and friendly and the food was out of this world Oysters before the starters. Then coconut shrimp and scallops which were to die for. Sea bass and lobster macaroni for mains and again amazing :) Will be back 100%

Food is beautiful, and the restaurant is set is a lovely old building which creates a fantastic setting for your meal. Let down slightly by the service, we were not advised of the specials, one of which my girlfriend would have loved had she known when we ordered, waiter could have been more friendly and the little touches like we were never given steak knives. All in all there was not the personal service you would expect from a restaurant aimed at that level. Miller and Carter would still be my preference but Cut is definately worth a visit if you can be bothered heading into town.

Had my mother's 70th on 14th December. From booking to the night everything was handled amazingly. The food was delicious and piping hot, which for a function of 30 people was really good. The service was amazing. I think I stressed them all out haha but everyone was so nice and nothing was a problem. My mum had the best time Thank you so much Lisa xx

Food was excellent. Although the little gem side was a bit of a let down. The whipped blue cheese was a bit lacking in seasoning. Miller and Carter do a wedge of iceberg that takes some beating. The hand cut chips, baked potato, mac 'n' cheese side and rumps steak were really tasty, will definitely come back for more! Service not too bad, but the place lacked a bit of atmosphere. I think just too many hard surfaces so feels a bit echoey. Also try offering to hang up coats.

With the restaurant currently under restrictions due to the never ending Covid pandemic, I noticed Cut were providing a takeaway service... Ideal !! Ordered via the Cut Bothwell app which was really easy. Pick your order ,select a pickup time (multiple 15 minute slots available) .. done. When you arrive you wait in your car, staff call you when it's ready , pop to the front door to pick it up . Excellent safety precautions for Covid. Meal was lovely although as you would expect the menu is limited. Can't wait to come back when you're fully open again !

I hosted a celebration for colleagues in Cut’s function suite last night. I have to say that every aspect of the evening was simply outstanding. From the high standard of hospitality offered by Gabriel who was our designated maitre d for the evening; to the exemplary food which was served with fantastic efficiency. Special mention too for Jude who was excellent in his role of supporting Gabriel in attending to the party. Everyone guest from far and wide left saying they would be making prompt bookings for the restaurant whose menu looked very inviting indeed. Thanks Cut- you made my night unforgettable.
