Had a brilliant lunch at this lovely wee hidden gem in Milngavie.
Food: Firstly very Generous portions! We opted for Beer Battered Fish/Chips and Mushy Peas!
Fish was amazing..Beautiful light Batter and the fish itself was also amazing, really fresh and perfectly cooked…truly delicious, accompanied with freshly cooked chips and tasty mushy peas!
Served with a nice cold Beer.. PERFECT!! What more could you want? all in all price wise we found it Fantastic value for money.
Service: The Manager/Waiter (for us) Jamie was really attentive, friendly, helpful and knew his stuff.
Made our visit feel really special so big thank you Jamie.
Ambiance: Friendly,Relaxed and Welcoming
I would highly recommend this fantastic restaurant in Milngavie and myself and family will most definitely look forward to a return visit in the near future.

Generous sized portions and delicious food.. Tried the Haddock Fish & Chips and also tried their new sweet potato & chickpea burger which was super filling.. You won't leave hungry. Love their new newspaper themed takeaway boxes the food comes in too.

I visited Fantoosh Nook, the new fish restaurant in Milngavie, owned by Andre Alexander. The entrance is Lovely with Beautiful decor and lovely and bright interior. Had the Beer Battered Haddock Super, which was to die for. Crispy batter and lovely fresh flakey haddock served with thin french fries and freshly made tartar sauce. The staff are very friendly and helpful and everything on the menu is freshly made. This restaurant has a very bright future and is becoming very popular already, especially at the weekends, so be prepared to pre-book your table well in advance, so as to be guaranteed a lovely evening.

A great quirky spot. The cajun monkfish scampi with pea puree was terrific and the serving of moules was enormous with a stellar creamy garlicy sauce with tasty sourdough to soak it up (or fries if preferred). Pleasant service too. Hope to get back on next visit to Milngavie.

Had very nice lunch. The Cullen skink was excellent, as was the fish and chips. One of us had stuffed aubergine which was also excellent. The food here is wholesome and fresh and the prices are reasonable for the quality. Would certainly recommend.

Been here a couple of times and it never disappoints. Everything is fresh and tasty and although a little pricey it's well worth a visit. Took my dad and girlfriend for a birthday treat for the old man and we all cleaned our plates.

Locay owned fish restaurant with good salad and meat options. Menu is fairly small and focused with daily specials. All dishes I have tried has been excellent.
Decor is a mix of traditional and modern and it works.
Open for lunch Tuesday - Saturday. Evenings Friday and Saturday only.

Nice little restaurant in Milngavie village. Staff were friendly and helpful. Portions are huge. I had the fish pate followed by fish and chips. Both were very tasty and I was absolutely stuffed after them. Will probably just have one course next time!

Didn't start very well...having booked the day previously were disappointed to find they had double booked and we were asked to wait an hour. Two of our party had a starter...the remainder had to wait an hour from arriving before receiving food, which was overcooked and everything on the plate tasted the same. As it was nearly 9.30 by this time and the place was fairly empty, it was very disappointing. We were, however given a free bottle of wine to compensate for the booking problem. However, I wouldn't rush back.

Food was pretty good. Tad bit expensive but not very much. Felt a bit quiet in there but that depends on what time of the year you come I suppose.

My famiky loves Fantoosh Nook. Its a terrific, relaxed and welcoming restaurant with a creative flair and some real talent in the kitchen. I had squid tempura and it was actually tempura! Light and crispy batter with tender perfectly cooked squid. We also had tandoori monkfish off the specials board and it was exceptional.
