Reviews of Five Guys Glasgow St Vincent St
D. C.
Quick service, very friendly staff. Order was made without mistakes. The fries were done perfectly too. I enjoyed my food there. I'm glad too, as I purposely came here craving a Five Guys. I got what I wanted.
A. A.
Came here for lunch. Was very good. But don't think it was good value for the price.tried bacon cheese burgers this week and both of us agreed they where dry and tasteless. So 3 stars not the same burgers we used to get for five guys.
J. K.
Comfort food place where I know for sure to be good 👍 Soft buns, meaty patty, juicy, great options for extra toppings for free. All staff are super kind all the time. + They give a massive amount of chips even if you order small one. How can I not love it.
Y. K.
Tasty and filling hamburger with good fries. Staff is nice and helpful. Everywhere looks clean. Nice tables and street view. Location is central.
R. P.
It is a bit on the costlier side. But I think the quantity is more than many others. Tried large fries and cheese burger. The patties were juicy and fresh too. Fries had good aroma.
J. M.
Burger was good and cooked to order which was perfect. I also had the salted caramel milkshake which was perfect too, not too thick nor thin. Seating us actually quite vast here. Upstairs section and down the stairs too as well on the level seating. I got double cheese bacon and it was over 9pounds but worth it. You can get mini burgers so I will try these next time.
M. K.
Been here twice now and let's be honest five guys is anything but cheap. It's ridiculously expensive for a burger fries and a shake.
Yet, I've probably had around 10 visits to five guys across the country! It never disappoints! Yes you can get twice the good from McDonald's but in terms of taste and quality I don't think I've come across a better takeaway burger!
M. L.
Thought I would share a review simply because I always come here late at night near closing time. Despite this the staff are always very friendly and engaged and they always have everything in stock. Been to a few other places at the same time of night recently and it’s clear the staff don’t want you there and have ran out of everything pretty much. Doesn’t happen at Five Guys so highly recommend.
s. K.
Very good service and the food was superb!! I had the cheeseburger and fries. I don't think I've ever had a burger like it!! Absolutely gorgeous!! and the fries were stunning too! Definitely will be back!!
J. A.
Good burger, great Cajun Fries, why is it worth 3 stars?
First, I assume everything is average till I'm wowed, and/or disappointed.
What wowed me: The service was lovely, the cashier patient, attentive and eager. The Cajun Fries, again, delicious. I believe the price set for fries is adequate based on the taste.
The Ambience is lovely, the aesthetic charming and 'quirky'.
What disappointed me: The burger. The thing I wanted to enjoy most was ... adequate. That surprised me. I was expecting at least the level of Bread Meat Bread or BRGR in terms of satisfaction. That disappointment was doubled in due to the price point. The burger is too okay for the price and that was unfortunate.
Next, I enjoyed the cashier's service, but, the ambience I enjoyed inadvertently backfired because it was too difficult to hear the server announce my order had been completed. A visual aid or amplification for the hard of hearing would be vital.
Also, they praise the peanut oil for the fries. There should have been options for other oils due to allergies. That being said; Caveat Emptor.

Five guys .. Hands down the best burger chips and shake ... No 1 ...
A. R.
Yes, the Burgers are pricey, but you get what you pay for. The burgers you get from other well known fast food burger joints just do not compare to Five Guys.
First off, you dont get a tiny, thin bit of meat that is passed off as a decent patty or a dry sesame seed bun. You get to choose from a wide range of toppings, and have as many as you like. The fries are beautifully cooked with a nice seasoning and, according to my wife, the Peanut Butter Milkshake was to die for.
As the Burgers are freshly cooked, and can take a bit of time, you have the option of grabbing a tray and helping yourself to free peanuts.
Getting back to issue of the price, we initially looked at the menu of the 2 American Restaurants around the corner, and Five Guys is actually the cheapest out of the 3, and as we have eaten here before, it was a case of "the devil you know" for a few quid less.
The criticism, and a few reviewers have mentioned this, is that the music inside always seems to be very loud... so this is not an ideal place if you wish to converse with family/friends. The second, are the prices of a bottle of beer, which are O2 Arena type prices. Anyway, as I was in an American Burger joint, I thought I would try an American Beer. The one that caught my eye was a 330ml bottle of 'Brooklyn Lager', but unfortunately, it wasn't a very pleasant drink, and it was £5 wasted.
Z. M.
It was ok. A bit overpriced £18 for a cheeseburger for the location I believe as the restaurant was empty. Overall it was a filling meal with lots of fries and peanuts and no bubble Grape fanta.
Service was a bit slow as they were busy with online delivery orders I believe.
I. H.
Loads of internal ads proclaiming best burgers. Had small cheeseburger but bun was stodgy. Suppose being wrapped in foil wouldn't have helped.
Smash Burger for me is better.
J. M.
Best burgers in Glasgow!! Fries, shakes, hot dogs, everything is quality. The cajun fries are a highlight
J. S.
Is it the best burger I've ever had? No! Is it a place you have to visit if you're into burgers? Yes! add as many toppings to your burger as you like. Perfect with a side of chips. Service is fast and portions are generous. I do find the chips far too salty, even when you ask for them without.
C. M.
Woman behind the till was amazing with us from the moment we walked in. Patter was great. Food as always is amazing. Love coming here
M. B. (.
The staff very lovely. Food was good but definitely not worth the price. The place was very busy but still expected it to be cleaner.
S.
Generally busy but service is very quick and can always find a seat.
The burgers are juicy and delicious! The fries are also super good and they give you extra so I usually order small fries.
They also do a variety of milkshakes but I think it's a bit over priced.
R. Y.
Food and staff are amazing, the place has plenty of seating space and is nice and open. Only downside is the music is so loud you can hardly have a conversation.
S. S. S. S.
Food is really really good but quite pricey. Drinks are refillable and in general the place is quite clean compared to other fast foods
M. N.
OMG! This is my favorite fast food place. The Cajun fries are unbeaten by any other place. Honestly it’s a bit expensive however you get your moneys worth and over. They always always overfill your cup of fries and you get about a double portion. The regular cheese burger has two patties so if you want one you need to get small cheeseburger. The best fast food place in Glasgow.
D. F.
Fast food made well - always enjoy a custom built burger here, wherever in Europe I go! As the picture states, deliciously evil 😊
L. P.
For me, the price is daft for what is just a normal burger.
If you like loads of chips then this is your place!
If you look at the price of the drinks then it's definitely not worth it.
Service was tip top.
N. B. (. J.
The burgers are to die for, one of the best in town and I'll go back purely for them but chips are too crispy for my liking, basic decor and the strawberry milkshake had bits in. IL have the vanilla milkshake next time though because the shake base is beautiful! Like the American diner vibe but as a whole nothing to scream about. If you want a really great burger, good service and nice atmosphere go to Bread Meats Bread for a 5 star burger experience
K. M.
Not many vegetarian options. But the guy who served me was awesome. He made specifically for me. Very friendly.
The strawberry milk shake with whipped cream was awesome.
T. v. d. H.
Loved it, food is good and staff is exceptionallly friendly. Bathroom are very clean too! The unlimited refills with so much variety is a big plus
V.
The best burgers and chips you can get from a fast rlfood restaurant, just be prepared to pay literally double or more than what you would compared to other joints(it's like £15 for 1 person)
M. H.
Excellent Burger and plenty of chips. It was expensive but it was worth it for a change. I will probably visit again for a milkshake at some point.
s. j.
Good burger nice place with lots of room to dine in.
L. M.
Fresh and good quality. Way more expnsive than the well known chains, but you get what you pay for. Huge portions. Clean and tidy
S. D.
Food was delicious, a little bit more expensive than expected but it is definitely worth it. Customer service is exceptional all staff smiling and getting along with each other. Service was quick and you can see your burger being made fresh infront of you, so many toppings to choose from, so easy to order. You get a full portion of chips too even with the small size they throw an extra scoop into the bag, the small details are what make this place great. I will definitely be revisiting here.
D.
Five stars for five guys, I really like the service. The guy at cashier was really friendly. It's our first time here and he recommended us what to order. The food taste delicious. Thumbs up for food and service 👍🏻
A. F.
Simply unbeatable burgers.
Perfect date spot and it won't make your wallet cry!
For a first burger I recommend a Bacon cheeseburger 'All the way' because the options for toppings is overwhelming. So much choice! After a few trips you will soon learn every combination is delicious!
e. t.
As a first time Five Guys visitor, I must say it was exactly what I was expecting. Would recommend to anyone wanting a nice fat burger at a reasonable price.
Also, I know it is common in the UK, but coming from Switzerland I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that they offer bottomless drinks (pay once, refil as much as you want).
The variety of the drinks was unimaginable. They had every single taste of soda you can imagine. If you think that it's cool when a place has 5 types of cola? They had about 10-15 types of every soda that I knew.
K. M.
Great burgers with a great choice of free toppings , simply order "all the way" if you'd like the standard five guys toppings
If you've never been before you should know a small fries is enough for any one person and a medium will comfortably feed two adults!
It's £10 - £20 a person depending on what you order, but the quality is worth it
f.
Best milkshake and lot of fries. No burgers or hotdogs this time but l have tried them in the US and they are good.
D. U.
Even though it was super busy. Got my food quick and hot! Perfect spot to grab a bite to eat while exploring the city.
Z. R. I.
Food was great as always. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would happily go back.
M. M.
As per usual the food was very tasty. Had it to go. Didn't get any trouble for not being local. Not sure why I expected it 😂
F. M.
Very nice workers attended us, a group of non English speakers who did not know the menus. They made it easy. Food very tasty, in spite of being fast food, and many drinks flavours, I loved that. You can choose simple burgers which have only one burguer meat, cheaper but also big. Free peanuts too!
Take care with sugar and calories, you better make some exercise after eating!
M. B.
My favorite fast food restaurant. I go there very often with my friends whenever I’m in Glasgow. I first visited 4 years ago when I was in Glasgow for the first time in my life and I’ve been in love ever since.
The burgers are very customizable with a variety of free toppings. The patty is always juicy, bacon crispy and cheese beautifully melted.
The fries are fresh, made from real chopped up potatoes, served in very generous portions.
There is an option of a bottomless cup of drinks with a large variety of flavors from the machines.
There are vegetarian options that my vegetarian friends really enjoy.
Staff are pleasant and helpful, the restaurant is always clean.
J. G. (.
They used to have great tasty burgers.
I can guarantee you can get better burger from somewhere for the price you pay at five guys.
Cajun chips are still great tho.
Overpriced and overrated.
Not even good anymore for a one time try.
F. J.
Good burgers but nothing special, too much hype I guess: it really hadn't a special taste despite all the toppings and such, the fries tasted ok too, nothing groundbreaking despite the nice cajun flavor on it.. kinda disappointed maybe in USA it taste better, I hope 😅
S. S.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was as good as always. We're very quick with the order even though the place was rather busy. Haven't been to this location before but I'd definitely go again, it was quieter in their downstairs seating area which I preferred. Definitely recommend trying Five Guys at least once.
A. A.
Place is very clean and has plenty of seating area (three floors). Burgers tasted fresh and tasty. One of the best Uk five guys branch I’ve tried.
f. w.
Not accounting for the price, everything else was great. The staff were pretty chill and nice
J. M.
Good food. Lunchtime rush meant a little wait for the food but wasn't too long.
P. S.
The best concept ever. I was introduced to 5 guys by my colleague and have been a big fan of it. There is so much that these guys provide, right from free peanuts to unrestricted mixing in their shakes to choosing any number of toppings on the Burger and their huge potential, really enormous portions of the fries. YUM!!!!
S. D.
It's expensive, I went late afternoon and it wasn't especially quick. My hotdog was tasty and the fries were good, I ordered a little fries and that's what I got, plus a whole scoop of fries tossed in the bag, which was a pleasant bonus. But it really is expensive for what it is.
K. L.
Great burgers that are genuinely easy to customize using the toppings list, and the staff working the tills provided really good assistance. Shoutout to Lisa for making our visit a splendid one!
Z. I.
Our last meal in Glasgow before heading back to Canada. Our sons were not disappointed!
A. D.
Just been here for a lovely burger and fries . My 1st five guys!! I am impressed. Excellent customer service but what also caught my attention was the cleanliness of the restaurant as a whole but especially the toilets. Sparkling and spotless especially at a time when the restaurant was busy and cleanliness needs to be priority and you can tell the team here are on top of it. Well done guys and thank you for making my 1st five guys visit a really pleasant one
S. R.
Never a bad burger. Always delivers the best and tastiest burgers.
d. c.
Good location and typical five guys setup with plenty of seating. If you want a proper tasty burger from the high street then this is your go to. The milkshakes are unreal but a little pricey
S. M.
No complaints at all. Great tasting burgers as always.
G. M.
It's fine, like the food is pretty good but in the city centre you can get way nicer food for the same price. If you're after fast food style stuff though and are willing to spend a bit extra then it's leagues ahead of McDonald's and places like that
K. S.
Very quick service, food was great although a wee bit pricey, but worth it for the quality and taste of the burger and chips.
G. M.
The food was lovely, freshly made and hot. The fries are absolutely delicious and the burger was juicy. The milkshake was so thick and tasty although I was disappointed they don't do cherry flavour anymore. Restaurant was nice and clean and staff were friendly.
K. T. S.
Five guys has been my fvrt chain place since I am here, love how u can just pop up there expecting a great meal.. The burger, fries, drink refills😋
A. N.
Very good team working to make those distinctive burgers and overtly generous portions of fries.
J.
Exactly what I needed cheese and bacon burger and fries. Great tasting and good table service
Т. С.
To be honest, the assortment is meager. I like it with chicken and they don't have chicken. The burgers were made in a hurry and absolute chaos. It didn't look nice and I didn't want to eat it.
J. R.
Tasty burgers, need to stay away otherwise I'll be here every day
R. A.
Five Guys is forever my favourite burger restaurant! Top burgers and fries..
y. m.
Delicious food and awesome service , fair prices
D. P.
Love Five Guys burgers, and this franchise is as you'd expect if you've visited other restaurants - great burgers, friendly staff and nice surroundings.
Sure you pay more @ Five Guys - but you get more for your money, and feels like a meal, not a "snack".
Well worth it, and great location near George Square and the main shopping streets.
P. C.
Good Burgers, great chips. Decent service during the current Corona madness.
E.
Service was good. Food was ok. Burger van fare. Bit greasy. Heavy. Sloppy. Definitely overpriced for what it was. Wouldn't revisit.
M. K.
The best burgers I have ever eaten 👍
S.
Food was amazing but ordered at 18:45 for 19:30 and didn't get the food until after 20:00. It was busy and things are tough right now but people were coming and going who ordered after me. Had to ask about the food a second time and then it appeared. It is good quality ingredients but it's also slightly overpriced in my opinion. Was almost £30 for 2 burgers, 1 portion of chips and 1 milkshake. Really enjoyed it though, it would be 5 stars if I had been given the food on time and if it was slightly cheaper.
S. M.
A prefect burger every single time. I eat here once a week without ever having a complaint. Prefect burger with a great variety of drinks although I would prefer grape sprite in full sugar 🤣
C. K.
Best burger I have ever had. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. 🥤🍔🍟
D.
There is no better burger, and you can't go wrong with a hotdog on the side!
X. M.
All the way with jalapeños!!! 👌🏼🍔
S.
Pleasant welcome by girl on counter. Tables spotless and no complaints regarding food or anything else. Mark up on soft drinks bit much but not much different from anywhere else.
C. W.
The food and service is always excellent, we got given a mental amount of french fries as always. 10/10 for the desert shake. As we all know just a little pricey for a family of 4 to take out. otherwise it would be 5 stars
T. M.
The customer service was first class from the till staff... Only went for a milkshake this time, and it was decent (if a bit pricey)... The new paper based straw, although better for the environment didn't survive the full drink, ended up just drinking from the cup
D. P. j.
Good burger, but disappointed in the chips. Don't get spicy chips.
B. M.
Good burgers, too expensive for what you get however.
M. N.
Best burgers on the high Street without a doubt. Chips good but small portion is enough. Although tasty milkshake seems a bit over priced. Burgers definetly worth the visit
D. M.
Food's good, portions of fries are incredibly generous. Always left full after eating here, lathough the price is more reflective of a "sit-down" restaurant rather than a takeaway place. You can find better value elsewhere, but if you're in a hurry it's worth stopping by.
E. S.
1st class food service 4 stars would go back
R.
Let's be honest.. This place is quite pricey, cannot fault the food or service though. Perfect and worth every penny. Best burger I've had in my life. Cheers guys! We loved it. Large drinks as standard would have earned 5 stars.
P. C.
Best Burger Ever ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
M. R.
Expensive for a takeaway but worth it, recommended 5🌟
P. S.
Expensive but 100% worth the price. First time eating at this restaurant, brilliant first impression. Welcoming staff and brilliant food. Milkshakes are amazing, I had banana with chocolate and whipped cream, was the best I have ever tasted from anywhere! (Real fruit not artificial) Highly recommend. 🙂 Well done to everyone who works there!
0.
I was picking up an order for delivery. Whilst I was waiting manager very kindly gave me a cup of fries and drink to eat on the house - a true gentleman! Thank you very much and I look forward to working with you many times again.
A. M.
What can I say but absolutely brilliant cheeseburger and lovely chips/fries with the skin on... would've been 5 stars if it wasn't for the price especially for what is essentially a fast food place!! 50 something pound for 2 cheeseburger and regular chips and one junior burger with small chips, 2 reg shakes and small coke. If chips came with it would be better. Also in saying that, there was enough extra chips in the bag to skip an order of them...wish I knew.
If I went again I'd be just getting the burger as it was really fantastic.
C. B.
Favourite place for a burger. There is no denying that its a bit on the expensive side for fast food but you certainly get what you pay for. Everything is fresh, from the meat to the salad toppings, regardless of which five guys I have visited, the staff have always been pleasant. The milkshakes are great and there is a wide selection of soft drinks.
Only issue that I can think of is that the chips are pretty salty.
C. F.
Lovely burgers, fantastic milkshakes, but the chips are not my favourite style - but that is purely a personal preference with that, and my friends love the menu.
Portion size cannot be faulted at all.
Possibly a little pricey for what you get, but the burgers are worth it.
D. M.
Good food, incredibly generous portions of fries. Always l;eft full after eating. Service is not the fastest, but the food is all made to order. Price is a little steep for takeaway food, but the taste pretty much makes up for it
B. S.
The food is amazing yummy. The restaurant was OK, seemed clean enough. There wasn't many tables free on the bottom floor, which was hard for us with a buggy.
D. G.
TBH the milk shakes are class, the food is very good but it's a bit pricey for what you get, however you get tons of fries. Staff are really good but you sometimes have to ask them to turn down the music.
j.
The burgers are good but quite pricey, probably not very worth. The Cajun fries are delicious.
S. H.
Ordered 2 burgers fries and shakes.
Felt like I'd been pumped by 5 guys when the cashier asked for £37
Food was decent and well cooked but I'm in no hurry to go back because of the extreme cost.
D. M.
Food was great as usual and the service was pleasant and quick. The drink was quite flat tho, maybe the dispenser needs a tweak?
R. H.
Friendly, quick service, didn't notice loud music but the decor is strangely bare. The meat is good and I like the burger being made fresh to order with the toppings you want. The chips had too much salt for our taste - couldn't enjoy the potato flavour and felt my lifespan decrease with each bite. Given the whole experience the bill was steep though I can see it goes into ingredients and staff (so many!).
A. F.
Can't beat Five Guys for burgers. Friendly staff, food made to order. A proper treat.
A. C.
It's good. But very disappointing they don't offer a veggie burger. As all other burger joints do
C. C.
Love the burgers here, favourite by far. Cajun fries are great too. Flavours are fantastic. Only slight downer is the seating is hard and a bit uncomfortable but I can't drop a star for that as it is takeout as well as sit in
J. B.
You get what you pay for, up there with other franchises, mcDs BK etc...
h. 1.
Took my kids here for a treat, good quality burger and chips bit pricey but the foods delicious
M. S.
decent burger, good fries. Weird that the washroom had a password though. Still nice experience
Z. L.
The food was great here and the service was good you could have peanuts while you wait too will definitely go again
S. “. S.
Great burgers as always. The extras are what really make them. Nice shakes too
S. W.
Five Guys has the best burgers period I'd wager against it even. Their chips can be lacking but with their amazing dips it really doesn't matter.
I've never once come away from here unhappy. It's paradise for burger lovers
J. S.
5-Guys as you would expect in the US except the prices are quite a bit higher. Substantially higher prices than in the US appears to be the business model for 5-Guys in Europe.
Fries are great and portions are generous. Hamburger is really good for fast casual dining. Wide selection of toppings let you build your custom burger at no extra charge. Perfect place if you are dining solo and want a good burger and fry meal that will fill you up.
Expect a casual atmosphere to enjoy your meal, have some free peanuts while you wait and have a laugh with friends if not going solo.
It is situated in a pocket of upscale burger places, so you can do the circuit to compare it to what the locals are offering if you have a few days and want to search for the best burger.
P. M.
This is how every burger place should be. It is nice, good filled and super delicious. The only con is that they put their prices on the menu without VAT. I don't think this seems fair, because with a big order you can end up quite expensive compared to what you were planning on paying.
S. G.
Good thing there is a bank across the road you might need it haha, food is always great. Be sure and get a #BeardShake
K. L.
Ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Pricy as others have mentioned, but to be honest it’s worth it as it’s fresh and made to order. The choice of toppings is good and they are tasty. A regular portion of fries is enough for two, easily. But guess it depends if you go when your ravenous. Would definitely recommend for anyone fancying a good burger. But can be a bit of a wait when they are busy and the fact it’s made to order.
周.
Best burger at its price hands down. The chips is unforgivably amazing, defo recommend Cajun style. They also have fantastic milkshake with countless flavor combinations. However, the useless straw they provide, too thin to do anything with that thick milkshake, hope it’s change some day.
T. H.
Really enjoy visiting Five Guys - the hamburgers are excellent although they might be expensive but very much worth it, the fries that they server with the burgers cost extra but are very tasty and you defo get plenty of them. As I said we enjoy visiting and will most certainly return. Highly recommended.
T. B.
Quality beefy burgers just what you want after a night out with few mates. great burgers and staff
A. D.
Had a Bacon cheeseburger and a reeces milkshake. Bacon on the burger was cremated to an inch of its life. Shake was fantastic
C. C.
A decent burger at a reasonable price. I was quite surprised as I was expecting a smaller and more fast food like burger, but you have the freedom to choose your own toppings and customize your burger. Overall good for a quick bite, the fries were pretty well done too.
D. “. S.
If I could give 3.5 I would. My first time trying 5 Guys and it tasted fine.
First off all, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The fries and milkshakes were excellent. Hands-down one of the best milkshakes I have had. The Cajun fries were fresh and thick if anything a little heavy on seasoning.
The burger, however, failed to deceive. Although the burger was good I doubt it merited the almost £10 price tag. I was £18.90 for a burger, fries and milkshake. I'm sorry but for that I was expecting something special, something worth it but nah.
I understand it is an American import and there is a certain novelty factor that goes with that but 5guys will remain a novelty for me, for the foreseeable future.
It is definitely worth a try. You may have discovered your favourite burger place. 3.5 stars. Good but no cigar lol.
K. L.
So I was at five guys first time and got cheeseburger and fries 9.7/10 very good
I. R.
Their food is much better quality than the well known burger chains. My only gripe would be on the prices. You're paying a lot of money for food out of a bag. It is a case of 'you pay for what you get' though. Always plenty of seating and have never waited more than 10mins. Top quality burgers, hot dogs and chips.
P. A. V.
Great service and food, which were spot on for our visit. Burger and fries here didn't disappoint.
Unfortunately drinks machines were reduced to one and the working one had very little choice (full fat coke or full fat Fanta). Not great for the kids. Otherwise, excellent.
Lots of kudos for the cleaner doing more than just the standard table wipe - while we were eating, they were thoroughly cleaning beneath tables etc which didn't look that bad beforehand to be fair.

You know, it's tough being a burger joint on St. Vincent Street. There's a hundred metres where you have at least four dedicated establishments where burgers are their business. One has gone due to, frankly, being miles behind and I was surprised how long they did last. Five Guys is up there amongst one of the best franchised burger places I've been to. Their shakes are excellent, their burgers are great, the service is great. It's clean, tidy and the staff are efficient and effective. The format for ordering is personable and mature. You need to know what you want before you get in the queue and you need to use your ears when waiting for your order. It's a sensory experience which is curious given that I find Five Guys an upmarket McDonald's.
The menu is simple. You can have a small or large single or double burger on its own or with bacon, cheese or both. That's it. That's the base menu. You can the personalise, at no extra cost, your burger with their toppings.
The burgers are well made and satisfying. Not the best I've had but, given what I said earlier, they're more than acceptable. They are delicious.
The fries are a real treat. Certainly some of the best I've had but my issue is the portions are just too much. Yes, you pay a lot but a small portion is enough two and medium and large portions could feed four and above. It's too much and it's not needed.
My only other gripe is the price. You are looking at the guts of £40 if you have two burgers, large fries and shakes. That's a lot for what you get and, compared to one franchise less than fifty metres down the road, isn't really worth it. That's gastropub prices not fast food prices and Five Guys do not offer anything that's overly different from its competitors because they do great burgers too.
But, if you want a glorified Golden Gates experience then Five Guys is where you want to be.
A. B.
A 'cheeseburger' is actually a double cheeseburger, which was the best surprise ever haha it's not that obvious if you have not been before. The peanut butter milkshake was incredible and quite unique. I've never really tasted anything similar elsewhere. The fries are crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside - yum. Mayonnaise and ketchup is free in any quantity (self-service dispenser), there were plenty of spaces to sit, and it wasn't stone cold. Brilliant food, happy staff, and a spacious environment. It may be a bit pricey, but the quality of service and food made up for that in my eyes.
J. F. (.
Great food however for a burger, fries and juice it costs way too much. Much better than normal fast food with quality being top notch.
Service is quite slow due to how busy the place gets. Large seating area over 2 levels.
c.
Five guys is always a great place to eat, assuming you can afford it. The price is always steep, a bit too much for a fast food place, but the food is consistently delicious.
It's always absolutely spotless, incomparably so to other fast food establishments, and the food portions are great, so unlike other places you actually leave feeling full and satisfied.
The biggest downside is the price, but it's always the same fantastic experience and meal that you get from visiting.
J. Q.
Yea it's expensive, but tasty, much better than McDonald's or burger king. Fries are delicious and the burger is huge!! Maybe save a few quid and go for the little one. Also you can max out on toppings and extend the value. All in all no complaints!! Will be back to my local in Belfast.
M. W.
First time in a 5 guys. The menu is nice and simple, the food is easily customised and the milkshakes might be the best I've ever had.
It is expensive, be prepared for that. The fries are good, the drink selection is good but I think you might need to try a couple of topping combinations before the burgers are truly good.
I'm hooked though, I dont think I'll ever be able to walk past one again.
R. B.
Pleasant service, great burger and good fries, fun drinks machine and enough space.
Didn't care for music etc as just visited with earphones on.
Burger was excellent and chips were great too, though not for the budget conscious.
G. H.
Really rather good burgers, moist and plenty of free toppings.
My advice is to get one regular portion of fries between two and if your not fussy the drinks are unlimited refill so you can share them too.
It is a little expencive but by sharing bits you can keep the bill down, it's definitely worth it.
Also they have had free roasted monkey nuts on a few occasions I've been in.
J. H.
The quality of the food has consistently gone down for me each time I go. The most recent visit the fries weren't that great. It had spice but not saltiness to back it up. The burger was constructed poorly. Not worth the price tbh for a burger that's kinda decent but not much going for it except the bun.
G. P.
Fast service for a busy place on a Friday. Great burgers and you get to add all the topping you want. Double pickles is the game. 😁 And spicy fries. This place does free refills on drinks just help your self.
M. C.
Anyone who's tried Five Guys burgers and fries will know they are out of this world and well worth the additional money when compared to other fast food outlets. However, the signature loud music and the garish white and red tiled decor generally compels you to eat and leave as fast as you can. It's a purposeful approach to getting as many customers in and out as fast as possible. If the dining experience wasn't quite so abrasive, I'd go more often but the delicious tasting burgers are definitely some of the best you'll ever get in Glasgow (or anywhere) and if you haven't tried them I highly recommended you do. If you're interesting in eating more than your entire day's allowance of calories as well, top it off with a milkshake of which all of the varieties of combos are also outstanding.
D. S.
Great food, though expensive. The staff in this particular restaurant are really friendly and helpful. 5 stars.
S. R.
First visit to Five Guys ever, it did not disappoint but there is room for improvement. We had a normal and a Cheeseburger all the way. Both burgers tasted really good, the meat was delicious and on the spot. The toppings were as expected and for the two of us it was just the right amount for lunch.
Now the downsides: The cheese on the patties was not fully melted, it should have been on there for 30 more secs. I asked for additional hot sauce - the Burger was drenched in it, so I had to get rid of the excess sauce first (kinda messy). The prices are okay, I would however expect some fries or a drink on the side for 8-9 pounds. Therefore: 4 Stars.
s. r.
Tasty burgers, fries are good and milkshakes are to die for. You can also buy bottled lager if you so desire to wash your burger down with.
Downside is it gets busy with limited seating and is on the expensive side but if your not eating there day in day out its worth it.
E. E.
Clean place, friendly staff members, quick service.
I love how juicy is the beef, how crispy is the bacon and the cheese is perfectly melted with free add-ons (so no need to worry about something that you do not like) and NEVER FORGET to add on FiveGuys Fries with their mayo. Best place to reward yourself after a long day.
M. M. S.
They have 15 toppings, all free, it's a task to choose from. My favourite was the milkshake though, you can mix all the flavours you want and it comes out delicious!
The fries are in ginormous quantities and the little burger was huge 😂. I will go back for the milkshake!
D. M.
The food is undoubtedly good. Uncompromisingly american style food. Beats McDonald's or anything else in the burger cross hands down. Buuuut it's pretty expensive. So you are definitely paying for the superior experience.
Service is super friendly and rapid even when busy, staying true to the fast in fast food.
The chips portions are huge and the shakes are to die for as well.
Maybe it's just me but I always end up making such a mess of my meal because I insist on getting loads of toppings on my burger to get the most value...
D. B.
Great burgers, tasty drinks selection and huge helpings of fries. Beware long queues and fries made in peanut oil (although it's mostly flavourless and cold pressed to doesn't affect many allergy sufferers). A little pricey for a burger chain but the quality meat and good selection of toppings makes up for it. Clean, well maintained toilets too.
C. C.
Quick service - they call out your order number when it's ready. You can sit in or take away, they always give you tons of chips if you order them, the soft drinks are basically unlimited, and the drink machine has dozens of options. The burgers are overpriced for what they are, though. Fast food burgers for the price you'd expect to pay for a burger in a city centre bar.
N. K.
Simply put, you won't find better fast food (provided you like burgers) anywhere in Glasgow. It comes at a price, mind you, that's a little bit over the odds, but view it as an occasional treat and it is well worth it. Great staff and nice, American dinner style surroundings make it a classier fast food outlet.
M. C.
Five Guy's is awesome! If you appreciate fresh food and a lot of thought behind how a burger is put together then you'll like this. It's not cheap but it's the best burger you'll ever eat and you'll keep coming back! Free re-fills on drinks btw!
C. J.
Hands down best fast food burger chain the burgers are very filling premium meat used and unlimited toppings. The fries are thes best you can try and bloody huge and don't get me started on the milkshakes they are too die for. I opted for a peanut butter with chocolate flavour milkshake which was pure milkshake pornage. Worth the 💰 money.
M. P.
Their food is great and I love that they are locally sourced (so much as possible). Their story is really cool too if you are up for the read. My favourite is their cajun fries, always a must for me... and well a milkshake (honestly I could go on)
P. A.
It was a good burger, and a massive portion of chips, and the option of beer as a drink (which one should always select). Lots of seating and very fast service. However, be aware it's expensive and there aren't "meal deals" that you can order. Expect to pay roughly double what you would at Burger King, for a very similar meal.
R. H.
Quick and good quality food as always.
Not cheap, but very tasty and filling
*Add extra cheese and extra bacon for free!! *
E. M.
This place is great for a good tasty burger.
The portion of fries are huge, and I would really share a regular between two people. The drinks come with free refills, and the machine has the full array of Coca Cola products including diet and zero versions.
The burgers are very tasty, and you can customise every topping you can think of for the same price as a standard burger.
The price is a bit steep if you compare to other fast food places, and more comparable to the other burger restaurants on this corner of St Vincent Street.
ALLERGIES: the chips are fried in peanut oil. I don't know if they have any other option.
M. H.
Brilliant burgers with unlimited toppings. Bit on the dear side at about 7 quid a double cheese burger, but worth it as a now and again type thing. Just your typical smash burger though, if you want to do the same at home just get a brioche or potato bun, toast the inside of the bun in a pan or a flat top with some butter till it's golden brown and crispy, take a meatball of beef, season it after you form the ball on one side and put that side down onto the flat top and smash it down with a spatula and a weight, when juices rush to the top of the patty season the side facing up and flip it and add cheese to the now other side facing up (American style cheese trust me). Once the cheese is melted put some ketchup mayo and mustard on the bottom bun followed by lettuce to insulate the bun from juices, put the patty on that and put any toppings you wish. Voilà, the perfect "Five Guys" burger.
I. J.
Quite expensive for fast food, but ridiculously tasty. Getting a burger filled to the brim with toppings and perfectly crispy fried on the side is great. Would recommend every once in a a while, but not your everyday-fast-food-joint.
V. R.
The patties were a bit dry and the burger was a bit less savoury than I'm used to from Five Guys, but overall the food was still great. Otherwise, a standard Five Guys - free peanuts while you wait for your order, unlimited drink refills with a huge variety of flavours, and decent fast food.
E. M.
Awesome burgers! Could eat here every day if it wasn't as expensive as it is. The staff were a little meh. My partner asked a question to the cashier about the menu and she could have probably been nicer
S. G.
Portions are huge, both burgers and fries. Overall it was pretty good but the burger lacked seasoning and the huge portion makes you feel mildly sick by the time you finish.
G. B.
The food was great but Andrew was the real star of the show. I think Andrew truly deserves a promotion and I hope he gets it.
Stay strong Andy
E. D.
A little pricy but overall good and fresh food. I really like the veggie sandwich with cheese, which comes with grilled mushrooms, Onions, peppers, tomatoes and lettuce. Grilled cheese is also really good. Chips a bit on the soft and soggy side but they taste good. There's also a drinks machine with tons of flavours to pick from and free refills.
R.
Fast food tastes decent. A much longer wait than anywhere else. But you can see it being cooked and unlimited drinks are good. There are plenty of seats so even at peak times you can sit down
L. G.
Expensive for what you get. Expect to pay around £15 for a burger, chips and a drink. The burgers are nice but not incredible. It feels like fast food but with the price of a sit down place. There are better places to get a burger in Glasgow.
J. C.
Good Five Guys. Open late on Sunday nights
F. E.
It's one of the best fast food burger chains ever created
K. W.
Good burgers with selection of toppings. A range of Coca-cola soft drinks available, some beers and thick shakes (with bacon option!). Not so much for veggies (hold the burger the only real option). Fast service and monkey nuts to munch while you wait.
S. C.
I have been on Keto for almost 1 year and found it hard when out to get my fast meal and now that Five Guys do a lettuce wrap it's my go to when I can't get home in time for my 24hour fast love it.
D. M.
Want a burger and fries? There's no other option. Five guys burgers are fresh made with fresh ingredients and you make it the way you want it.
No additional prices for toppings and plenty to choose from. These guys to burgers the way they should be. Plain and simple.
Along with that your fries are fresh cut and delicious. Top it off with the cajun seasoning and you're in for a total taste-gasm.
If you want something else theres not much to choose from but it's not a downside. These guys are specialists in burger craft make no mistake, They chose a thing and ran with it perfectly.
I've been to many different five guys many different times and the quality is ALWAYS the same top level.
Hats off to you, it's a helluva burger and fries you do. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Side note: ** NUT/PEANUT ALLERGY WARNING ** the fries are cooked in peanut oil and there are peanuts out in the restaurant for people to take freely.
So if you do have a peanuts in the air allergy then you Must avoid the restaurant. I'm sorry but you can't be here if peanuts nearby could harm you.
If you can be around them but can't eat them you should be okay with the burgers still as they are cooked on their own grill and separately from the nuts but I would always advise informing the staff and taking their advice before eating.
R. G.
Please keep in mind this is an American writing this. So if you're looking for a Scot's opinion on an American chain I'm not the one to read. All of that out of the way, this is our favourite burger chain outside the United States. They seem a bit slower over here when it comes to the service but it's nothing detrimental to our dining experience. It's probably just my American nature to want everything now.
If there are two of you I recommend one order of fries. That one order is large enough for two.
A. P.
Five guys like it or not its the same fayre each time you visit
I. G.
I was introduced to Five Guys in the USA a good number of years ago and was always a fan.
The problem with Five Guys in the UK is the pricing, which is on the high side for a fast food burger joint.
Don't get me wrong, the quality is very good and far better than a McDonalds or Burger King plus the option to buy a beer gives it a distinct advantage but in the USA their options are maybe a few dollars than McD's etc whereas in the UK it is a good £5 which you could only justify on a special occasion.
With massive portions of fries and free refills, its worth a visit and the staff are always friendly and efficient.
h. j.
Fast food chain. Good burger and fries.. They have good seats
K. T.
I've eaten at Five Guys on a couple of occasions and this time it was a midweek lunchtime visit as part of a group of five (guys). The service is quick and straightforward, as you would expect from a fastfood place - queue, order, pay, wait, collect, find a table.
The burger and fries are heaped into a brown bag and an overabundance of seasoning, sauce and burger grease combine to create a napkin flapping assault of a meal. The food is below average, but there is tons of it and free refills on soft drinks are a nice touch. If I ever go back, I'll probably just go for a double burger and swerve the fries.
P. J.
burger buns are soft and tastes good but there is still a scope of improvement for patties..sitting and overall ambience is good
E. Y.
Love a Five Guys burger with all the toppings scrumptious. Not quite all. Chips are amazing but so big. Wish was do a smaller portion and less money.
E. Z.
Five Guys was a little bit disappointing for me because of the taste of the meat, I was expecting more quality in it and more juicyness.
By the way the overall experience was good, they gives you a big amount of really good fries and a lot of choice in the toppings to add in the burger for free
J. D.
Love the Cajun fries but not so keen on the fake American cheese slices in the burgers, not sure if that's an unpopular opinion!?! Also seems a bit expensive for what it is
S. H.
They do excellent burgers with loads of options that can't be faulted. Shakes, chips are very good, as well. It is more expensive than other places but the quality can't be faulted.
K. A.
You just can't go wrong with Five Guys. Their burges are absolute perfection. From the tasty patties to the melted cheese and deep fried bacon. Fries are cooked in peanut oil and taste like a dream. You have to also try either the salted caramel or peanut butter milkshake.
M.
A burger that wont blow you away but is certainly delicious and well cooked. A definite step up over the usual fast food chains such as mcd and burger king. Easily better than GBK or handmade burger co too.
The fries are well made, properly seasoned and crisp.
Its a place that does nothing out of the ordinary nor tries too hard to be different. Just well cooked burgers and fries at a reasonable price.
C. J. (.
I'll always return to 5 guys because the burgers are the best in the UK imho. Some people would tell me that is BS but I genuinely live them the most. Really tender, never bite into any gristle & they are fresh to order. The only reason that I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the prices are a bit steep. It's an occasional treat to go here. Could nott afford to go 3 or 4 times a month.
R. A. G. R.
The five guys experience, full with stuffed hamburger, spotted chips and great selection of sodas. A great place for a quick bite with higher than normal quality, compared to other fast food chains.
P. G.
Wasn't bad, wasn't great. No vegetarian burger, but there was a veggie sandwich. Not mind blowing, little flavour. As others have said very very loud inside, but service was very fast and the staff are very pleasant. Wanted to give it a go, have done, but that's it for me. Give it a go if you're nearby and want a fast but expensive burger.
n. d.
Im not big on fast foods but i do love a five guys... i recommend everyone i meet to come here! Dont normally like burgers but when it comes to five guys they changed me! Clean shop, great food although little pricey but worth it. Staff are very friendly and polite 5 stars!!
L. D.
Quick service, lots of efficient staff to make the order process as smooth as possible. Plenty of seats and free peanuts! Although they were busy, we got our order in under 10 minutes and it was all made fresh in front of you
j. w.
Always a great place to go for a burger the meat they use in the burgers is fantastic n very tasty the Cajun fries are the best I've ever tasted staff are very friendly the restaurant is spotlessly clean n the drinks machine great overall a fantastic experience as always would highly recommend five guys
G. M.
Pretty good burgers served very quickly, not the best burger place in town but much much better than a Burger King or McDonalds. Having said that you would hope so considering the massive difference in price! Burgers basically range from £4.50 to £8.75, I always go for the £8-£9 burgers as I think the others are too small.
The milkshakes are good but they really need wider straws especially for the Oreo cookie shake. Sucking chucks of Oreo through a normal straw could give you an ulcer!
Factoring in the cost and quality of burgers I'd give it 4*s but considering something so simple messes up a good milkshake I'm giving it 3*s
G. H.
The best fast food burger
S. H.
The best place for hot dog and burger.
H. R.
Yip that's a tasty burger and the fries...the fries
L. O.
The burgers are perfect compositions between crunchy vegetables, delicious beef, plenty, runny cheese and fresh tasting bread. The milkshakes are a bit overpriced, but their amazing taste can live up to it I guess.
s. c.
Amazing service and food quality. Fries cooked to perfection :)
A. W.
Visited here again for family member special occasion
Still think it's a bit pricey for a hamburger shop
Food is OK but definitely overpriced
C. M.
Five guys Glasgow is cool. The staff are generally really nice. Do I think the food is slightly overpriced? Yes! That's just me though. I'm not a huge fan of the gourmet burger thing anyway. It's just meat in bread. Five guys do sell handcut chips though which rock with the seasoning on them and they don't hold back on portions. The drinks machine is pretty cool too. Well futuristic.
P. G.
Perfect mix of juicy burger (well done) with tasty cheese, and the right balance of ketchup and mayo. I haven't had a cheeseburger this good outside North America! The toppings are classics, no world flavours like chorizo, but that's a big part of their appeal - they do the classics flawlessly. Despite lots of competition in Glasgow, probably the best cheeseburger in the city (IMHO). Well worth £8 for a double!
C. D.
Excellent food quality and quantity! Quick service and had no issues with my order! One of the reasons I like coming to Glasgow, get to treat myself with a FiveGuys!
4 stars because wee bit expensive, would rather smaller portion sizes for a bit cheaper cost but hey ho, it's a treat!
R. F. P.
Easily one of the best fast food burgers in town. Disappointed that the sugar tax effects the syrup flavour for the full fat coke, but apart from that, its a great place to get some grub!
G. B.
5 stars for the Cajun fries ALONE. Always awesome and never fails to deliver a quality burger. Went feeling down, left with a big fat smile on my coupon.
P. Q.
5 Guys serve up what is possibly my 3rd favourite burger after Fat Hippo in Newcastle and Burger Meats Bun in Glasgow. Their fries are the best though. Service very efficient, the staff are really friendly and the online booking service is brilliant.
Keep it up (5) guys!!!
I'll be popping in tonight on my way home ... if I can get parked nearby!
T. F.
I've Been to this and other restaurant before but this was the first time I took my partner here, they loved it just as much as I did.
Great food, fair prices and dispite the face masks and current situation the staff we friendly and engaging with not only ourselves but also the other customers.
D. H.
Excellent - easily ordered online and collected at the door. Food was very good and chips made when you arrive so they are fresh - worth the few minutes wait.
D. M.
Great food very helpful staff when in ,I'm nearly 50 so they were good with me but ten out of ten to staff also very clean.
M. Q.
Ok so I got a bacon cheese burger and fries with a drink. The burger was delicious had 4 toppings the jalapenos cost extra. The total cost was £16.15!!!!!! Have I just travelled into the future where inflation has been running in double digits? Good but ridiculously over priced. Fries were a bit soggy and there were far to many little bits. This is strictly a once in a blue moon venue at these prices.
A. M.
You'll never enjoy a cheap burger again. Five Guys burgers are my new best thing.
L. J.
Never had 5 guys before, didn't know what i was in for.
I can honestly say they took me by suprise - never had such a thick juicy sausage given to me before. The size of it was more than a mouthful and took me a while to get it all in.
Burger was pretty good aswell.
g. p.
Fantastic juicy burgers which are always made the way you want it, with whatever toppings you wish. If you think you've had great burgers, then you should visit Five Guys because they will give you outstanding taste and a completely new experience.
a. g.
no chance to miss it by any chance 😄 its super awesome...must must must try it out
D. S.
One drunken night led me to here.. Now I'm in love. The food is freshly made in front of you, it's like eating heaven. I would highly recommend the toasties and hot dogs they offer and of course the milkshakes!
T. G.
I love the food and staff great. Spotless clean. Drink machine is amazing.
But it's expensive at the end of the day it's tasty fast food place but priced too high. Seldom is it full compared to other food places in the same area.
C. W.
Love five guys, but 15 minutes waiting is slow for one burger, no fries when there are two customers total in the whole place. You should prioritize sit-in guests over takeaway.
L. J.
I rarely go to five guys as I am a vegetarian so there is very little to eat although they do a great milkshake. My first time at five guys the milkshake machine was broke which was disappointing until a lovely man working in five guys approached me with a milkshake he had made himself. All the staff where very polite and kind.
T. M.
Burgers are good no doubt about that. Fantastically overpriced. I think My burger fries and drink was nearly £15. Consider that you can get two courses in a fine dining restaurant for the same price and you can see my point.
M. J.
Consistent quality and great portions. Super friendly and kind staff and amazing customisation possibility. Never less than fresh and always tasty.
The one star drop is for pricing. Even for the level of quality etc. The cost is still that bit too much IMO.
R. M.
Great burgers. Not cheap. I can spend £20 myself!
L. S.
Both the burgers and cajun fries are excellent. They also have a coke freestyle machine with silly amounts of flavours. Unless you are VERY hungry, get the little burger, they are big enough.
S. O.
The peanutbutter and banana milkshake was amazing !!! But the burger was nerly as cold as rhe milkshake. Yeah i know its busy and i expect to wait at least 5 mins but I watched my burger sit for nerly 5 mins unwrapped before being handed to me. When eating it its was nce but lukewarm which i wasnt a fan of . would have been 5 stars if the burger had been hot 🔥
Z. M.
Excellent customer service, great quality food, restaurant was lovely and clean. Will definitely be dining again.
B. y.
Always the bestest burgers, but a tad did a there wss no straws for the fizzy juice
J. S.
Never had a Five Guys before until today and my gosh it was delicious. The menu is quite limited however the idea is that you can completely customise your own meal by picking from a number of enticing toppings - simple but clever. Personally I went for the bacon cheeseburger all the way (which means all the basic toppings), bacon cheesedog with onion, ketchup and mustard, small Five Guys fries and a chocolate milkshake with peanut butter and bacon (you heard me). Everything was made within a 15 minute wait and there was plenty of seats (time was about 18:30). Don't be the one guy who hasn't, go for a Five Guys!
E. _.
Think of it like a slight upgrade from McDonalds with American vibes. The food was meh, it was nice but not worth the hype or the price for that matter. I'm not sure if it was a slow day but the portion of chips given to me (I ordered "little" fries) was massive that it overflowed from the tiny cup into my paperbag. Staff were friendly and chipper, nice atmosphere and that drinks machine is awesome...I shall be back with a 2L bottle heheh
B. M.
Above average fast food. Over-priced; a meal worth £12 inexplicably costs £20.
M. W.
Really tasty burgers, probably the best in Glasgow, huge portions of fries, you can realistically share a small between 2 people. The only downside is the double queuing, queue to pay, then they give you a ticket like Argos and you then queue again waiting for you burger to be made fresh. A minor niggle for freshly made food.
P. W.
The best burger I have ever had. My sister took me and really to be honest, have never had the urge to go in myself, anyway - in we went. Two wee cheeseburgers, two regular cajun fries and two drinks £23.00 - thought it was a bit steep but never mind - that was until I tasted the burger - wow. I will not be eating a burger anywhere else now. It was like the way you dream a burger should taste when you get a craving. The meat was moist, I went to town on the toppings (it is all about the toppings!!!!) - raw onions, mustard, ketchup, mayo, lettuce, jalepenos, cheese - wow wow wow. Messy but magical lols. Cajun fries were excellent - massive portion. When I go back I will be ordering the smaller portion or splitting a regular with somebody. Great soda machine with so many choices. Loved the food, decor not 100% my choice, but you go for the burger. I am a converted 5 guys fan. :)
F. M.
The best burgers I have ever tasted Their peanut butter milkshake 10/10
K. G.
Visited 5guys restaurant for first time on Friday , it was the most enjoyable experience, the place was exceptionally clean, the staff you cannot fault, they all worked like what a team should work like, they were friendly, courteous and went out there way to help , the food was fantastic the prep area was clean tidy and they all had a genuine happy face that showed that they enjoyed what they did, well done 5guys ( and girls lol) on what was a great experience. Thank you.
C. C.
Just about the best burgers you can imagine. No brioche buns or chips served in wee daft baskets on a slate with a piddly rocket salad on the side. No pretentiousness but dont let that put you off. You get a burger with all the trimmings and good ol fashioned chips that aren't too chunky and not too thin. Get the cajun fries. A large portion will do between 2 and the small burger was still a good size for me. Free refills on your drinks and free peanuts too! Basic decor that reminds me of a proper 50s burger joint but minus the 'Vintage or Retro' overload. Worth a visit if you're in town
J. C.
I tried here as my girlfriend was in urgent need of a loo. It's very expensive, £27.50 for 2 burgers, 1 fries and 2 soft drinks. Not too far away that could have bought 2 Ultimate burgers ( 2 patties at least double the thickness and just as tasty, a steak fried chicken breast, onion rings, bacon and hot sauce), a choice of Poutine peppered fries, Chilli fries, salted fries, Katsu fries or Cajun fries and 2 soft drinks for roughly the same price. Safe to say I wont be back and the girlfriend has vowed to hold on a bit longer next time.
K. F.
Food was fresh and very tasty but expensive for what it was. Also venue was very noisy, although that was more down to acoustics than the PA.
E. S.
Great burger and chips, the best fast food outlet in the city. Not cheap but worth it
I. G.
Literally the best burger money can buy. Burgers are juicy and full of flavor, salad is fresh and crisp. The fries are made fresh to order and not from frozen.
A. M.
The good thing about five guys is that it's consistent. These burgers are as good as the burgers I have had in New York, as good as the ones in London and as good as the ones in Manchester. Peanut oil cooked chips mean no cholesterol and Cajun fries add to it. Like every five guys there is a Coka Cola freestyle machine with more than 120 types of soda. Open till midnight. This place is pig out heaven.
C. M.
Bit pricey but you get a lot of food and will definitely feel full after. Tin foil burger wrapping is a bit annoying though if you aren't eating it right away as the burger goes soggy...
M. B.
Consistently good. If 2 people get large fries to share, they are huge. Ok a bit pricey but definitely worth it. How fast food should be
G. G.
Just gotta love these burgers! Really one of the best burgers I have tasted.
c. j.
The staff where amazing. Little mix up with the order but there were happy to rectify it for us as gave us free fries(which were amazing). Can not rate them highly enough. The food was fantastic and staff were even better.
j. b.
The best of the burger joints. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, speedy service, consistently good
R. M.
Friendly staff yummy burgers, I love you can add any toppings. The burger meat is delicious and the free nuts are amazing but I still don't get why!
k. c.
milkshakes where otherworldly! cheese dog was the best hotdog I've ever had, it was such a juice hotpot and the melted cheese on top just made it 👌
M. M.
What's there to say, other than its a warm welcoming place where they'll have you eat your fill and look forward to stuffing you up more with their delicious food. Kinda like visiting grandma except they aren't old, but the caring notion is the same.
Make sure you come here with an empty stomach or you'll deeply regret it 😁
J. H.
Not an overly big beef burger eater but it was exceptional. Didn't get chips and was glad though as the burger for me was enough
A. T.
Great burgers and very fast preparation but to me I think would have been great if they also serve different type of fries options such as cheesey fries but now its just plain chips.
K. M.
Best burgers about👌🏼 so pricey tho! So just a treat from time to time. Music is a bit loud but worth it for the burgers n the amount of chips u get is unreal lol!
G. J.
Food is good enough but way overpriced for a glorified McDonald's
D. M.
The st Vincent Street shop is very quaint and the iconic red and white dinner-esque vibrancy pops out from the front door. The aesthetics of farm to fork also play out very well, with wood pallettes holding sacks of potatoes (where they display the farm supplying the current batch). The staff are great very warm and friendly. The burgers are the peak highlight, coming in with the most succulent patties which you personally build requesting whichever sauce/filling you'd like. Absolutely love the extra fries they supply too.
D. C.
You know it has to be good when it's over £20 for a burger, chips and a drink but the last thing on your mind is the price.
Bacon bits in the milkshake.
Should have just left the review there.
B. S.
Great to have access to this place overseas, tastes pretty close to the five guys in the states. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good American burger while you're on holiday!
J. H.
Only does a few things, but does them well. Pricier than most fast-food burger places, but a bit cheaper than most posh burger places, and far less pretentious, its burgers also hit the sweet spot between those two.
Decor is clean white tiling with red padded furniture, evoking the classic diner look without aping it.
Generously sized, dripping with juice from the three patties and the numerous fillings (grilled or raw onions, mushrooms, jalapeños, pickles and others as well as lettuce, tomato and the usual sauces are all available at no extra charge) and wrapped in foil, the burgers are a delight. The generous portions of skin-on fries (cajun-spiced reccomended) are thin but not too thin and cooked to perfection. Free roasted-in-shell peanuts to snack on while you wait - every burger is cooked to order with your choice of fillings - and hi-tech soda fountains (where else can you have caffeine-free diet cherry-vanilla coke?) complete the dining experience.
T. G.
Amazing burgers but when I ask for pickles on 1 burger they put them on all which wasnt what I asked for. Still good though
S. H.
I had a Little Cheeseburger, which was still fairly large, around the size of a Whopper from Burger King and I had pickles and BBQ sauce with it.
It was £5.50 which wasn't cheap compared to the ordinary chains and comparable with many of the 'diner' upmarket burger places in terms of like for like.
The store is terribly basic and even Burger King and McDonalds have nicer environments compared to the basic seating in Five Guys and Ed's Easy Diner and Handmade Burger Co are on different planets.
There is a terribly stripped down feeling about the place and while the food is good, the prices probably are high considering the virtually non existant furnishings and bland look of the actual store. Everything is served in nondescript brown bags and there was blaring music that made me wait very close to the counter for my order to be called.
I'm happy enough with the stripped down menu as the choice of toppings is good and allows a massive amount of customisation. Going into a store that looks like East Germany's first fast food outlet to buy burgers that are 'gourmet' in terms of cost seems like a terrible contradiction. It probably isn't a surprise that I decided not to sit in and walked out with my burger.
I don't think the incredible sparse restaurants will be a massive hit with UK diners, although the food still means I must give the store a good review overall but it would have been a shining review IF the prices were lower or the in store environment looked more like 21st century Glasgow and not 1980s East Berlin.

Living in Manchester I've heard great things about Five guys, so when I went home for the holidays and my friends fancied a casual quick dinner I suggested we try out the newly opened one in Glasgow. Let's start with the good points - the burgers were absolutely delicious, and the cajun fries were fantastic. Now for the bad points - the queue was very long, however service was quick. After placing your order you are given a ticket and wait for you order to be called out, this is all fine and in theory it gives you enough time to collect your drinks. This is however the next bad point, while it is impressive that you can choose one of something like 200 different drinks combinations, this leads to a very long wait time in a crowded area when all I was looking for was a diet coke with a little bit of ice.
Next on to the orders being called. This was intense and just a little scary. The woman calling out the orders must go home unable to speak at night with the force that she shouts (repeatedly) your order number. This would all be well and good, if you weren't still waiting in the drinks queue. Upon sheepishly collecting our orders and feeling like scalded school children being late we took a seat in the booths downstairs opened our foil wrapped burgers and were initially excited, which faded to disappointment when we realised that somehow our burgers were a miss mash of both of our orders, we did decide not to bother going back with them and just eat them, and they were delicious.
Overall I really enjoyed the food at five guys, however the overall experience really let it down.
K. L.
I'm a huge fan of the food, even though I don't have it often (that just makes it more special!). However, even their small fries portion is too loud for me and two others to finish them before they lose their fluffy hot fries magic, I can't imagine anyone getting through the larger sizes. Believe me, I can EAT fries.
The main issue I have with this location is how loud they play the music sometimes. The volume seems to have a half-hourly cycle. Someone I came here with actually put earplugs in whenever the music was louder!
Additionally, the process to get milkshakes is non-obviously different from the process to get soda from the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, and many don't want to have to queue up twice if they made a mistake.
P. S.
Best burgers. Doesn't feel like fast food at all. Fries are the best I've had in years. Can only recommend!
E. M.
First Five Guys of my life and it was sooooooo worth it, everything prepped fresh and tasted great. Store was clean with staff quick to clean up tables. Great selection of soft drinks!
J. D.
This was the first time I tried 5 guys since we were in Florida, wasn't too far away from what I remember, only criticism is that the chips are seasoned to the point they are inedible.
M. O.
This place. <3 Please for the love of everything build one in Limerick City in Ireland. I would eat there nearly everyday and become morbidly obese. But hey, a great burger is a great burger. :D
R.
Not quite Shake Shack but a good burger all the same. Is more expensive that Mc D's or B King but you can taste where that extra money goes.
T. K.
An ok 5GB...
The orders take quite a while here but it is understandable because this place is smack dab in the middle of the touristy bit of town.
Seating arrangements can get dicey - again, due to its proximity to the tourist areas.
S. D.
Nice place to visit, staff very friendly and enjoying working with each other. The food was brilliant, burgers cooked properly and your fries are really good with a good crunch. Well visit again
A. W.
Great burger, however I have put 4 stars due to the size in comparison with the price, the sheer amount of chips made up for it (I ordered a small chips and got loads) but £17odd for a burger, chips and a milkshake is a bit pricy.
N. R.
Fast service and really friendly staff.
J. G. (.
The Food was absolutely delicious. The food was hot and top quality. A bit on the expensive side, but worth it. Would strongly reccomend it to burger fans.
L. S.
Lovely food and plenty of it. Service was excellent. A little pricey maybe, but worth every penny!
R.
Nice burger and staff. Medium chips more than enough for me. Oreo milkshake was tasty but needs a bigger straw.
J. A.
Prices are a bit high for the service provided. However the food is high quality. An overall enjoyable experience but could be made better if the service didn't seem so fast food.
D. M.
Very tasty burger. Friendly staff. Ideal for a quick lunch.
w.
Fantastic, actual holy grail of burgers
d. b.
Burgers cooked in front of you, you get them how you want them and you can get whatever sides and drink you want. Such a great eatery
D. O.
Excellent burgers and fries. Price means I couldn't eat here often but love it when I do.
D. T.
Brilliant fast food burgers, pricey but worth it. Cajun fries are really good too. This is the best burger of all the fast food places.
C. H.
The massive cajun fries are my favourite. But the prices are quite steep in my opinion for what you're getting. The food is tasty though. For that reason 4 stars
N. M.
Superb grill cheese sandwich and chips. Some Issue with order but addressed promptly at collection point.
D. G.
Even just before closing we still had friendly service and good food! Their burgers and fries are expensive compared to other fast food restaurants but a much better quality of food!
H. B.
The drink options were good with the different flavourings, though they had run out of Coca Cola and it wasn't late in the evening. Good burgers and chips though :)
M. R.
Bacon milk shake was amazing. Service was good chips were good just not 100% on the burger
J. W.
You just canny beat a 5 Guys. Expensive but worth it, the Cajun fries and the bacon cheeseburger (extra bacon extra cheese - for free!) is just out of this world. Comfort food galore
A. B.
Decent burgers. Not exactly fast food though. Waited 20mins on two burgers.
H. G.
Yummy burger. Good service. Well made. Very expensive if not visited when eat out to help out offer is on
Y. H.
Helpful friendly staff. Fantastic burgers - succulent fed flavoursome. Cajun fries were far too salty.
M. C.
Standard 5 Guys. Great food bit pricey. Very busy on a sat evening
J. P.
Not my favourite burger and the chips were burnt urgh! The milkshake was nice but very sickening. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again
K. H.
5 guys boss food wherever you go in the UK.
J. A.
Excellent food and service , staff lovely and really helpful , toilets immaculate would highly recommend
M. W.
The food is really good however £18 for burger, chips and a milkshake is insane. The staff were nice and it was clean enough but I just can't believe the price for what is effectively fast food
A. C.
Lovely stuff and quick service. And great 5 guys food as standard
P. M.
In terms of quality, Five Guys is authentic to what you get in the US, even if it's a little expensive. I just wish the Coke Freestyle machines had the extensive choices that you get across the pond, like Barqs, Pibbs, Mello Yello et al...!
The staff that serves me today (25th Jul 2018) were fantastic and handelled an onrush of customers admirably.
S. F.
Amazing place, top quality burgers. Not cheap, but for an extra £10 you get infinitely better food than your regular fast food restaurants.
j. p. b.
Tasty burger simple but so nice
S. M.
Best burger I've ever had and fries are amazing. Staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend
C. D.
Food is superb. Staff are remarkably kind and helpful. Prices are high but it's worth it for the Cajun fries alone!
L. M.
I was a bit hesitant going in here as in previous occasions when I walked past it always seemed to be very loud with staff shouting out orders and excessively loud music however it seems they have toned it down a good bit.
The food is very tasty but it quite expensive for lunch.
G. L.
Love the hotdogs and burgers but their chips is definitely the highlight of every meal!
L. P.
Glasgow is such an amazing place with many sites to visit. Five guys was an good option to eat. It is cheap and offer a large variety of dishs . I would definitly recomend to try the french fries with arachid oil , they Are so tasty !
T. S.
Love 5 guys, the staff in the Glasgow location are fun and kind. The food is always top notch and I think they do the best fries bar none.
J. T.
Good proper burgers made with your choice of toppings. Generous portions of sides too. You can also help yourself to a beer!
G. P.
The best burger I've had, great fries as well, plenty of them. Go here if you get a chance
M. S.
Love the burgers and the lifetime supply of fries you get with every order, however, if I was pushed to choose my favourite burger place I need to say bread meats bread.
J. B.
Great burgers and sublime chips (heads up - cooked in peanut oil) - unlimited drinks too. Just be ready for the prices for what is essentially glorified fast food.
S. M.
Slightly overrated. Burger was good but not spectacular. Fries were some of the best I've ever had. Also quite expensive.
A. F.
First time visiting Five Guys, had a bunless bacon cheeseburger. Absolutely delicious and friendly service.
B. M.
Great burger and best fries ever, but is expensive compared to Burger King and MacDonalds..that said if you like a really great burger and fries then you've got to try Five Guys.
M. B.
Great burgers and fries. The staff is always friendly too.
Also discovered the chocolate peanut butter milkshake and I think it's gonna become a pb 😅
E. M.
First time in Five guys, Burgers where good, Unfortunately the chips were not so good, tasteless and over priced but as I said, the burgers were good
n. m.
Probably one of the best burgers you will get in the UK, glasgow restaurant very clean and close to grand central station
J. M. (. G. 2.
Five guys is an amazing restaurant, the burgers are great, the fries are great, the portions are amazing and the customisation of the burgers is very good, you get to watch the staff member cooking your burger, it's just a great experience
R. C.
Great atmosphere, really captures the American diner vibes with good burgers and shakes. Remember to include all the toppings since they are free! (:
R. A. B. D. S. F.
Dont hesitate and ask for Joana from Saint Vincent street, she so is amazing....and she just saved my life with a big burger:)...its hard to find people like this and as part of my experience as well...yesssss the burgers are exceptional
S.
Food delicious especially the cajun chips. Price is a bit expensive. But quality is of higher standard than typical fast food restaurants. Would recommend
j. h.
It's more than five, and they're not all guys. What a rip-off
T. C. B.
Great place to eat. Great burgers! Very accommodating for people with wheelchairs and hard of hearing. They will bring you your food if you struggle to hear
J. M.
I love this place, hands down best burgers you'll ever try ☺️ bit pricey but well worth, unlimited refills on drinks to, the staff where friendly and helpful, it was my first visit and will definitely be going again ☺️ the burger patties are fresh and cooked nicely, they're actually juicy, not like other places, and the fries are amazing as well, you get great portions for the prices to ☺️
c. s.
Sadly 5 guys is not 5 stars, the staff was made up of 4 "guys" and one female, the borger was very high quality, as was the cheese dog, however, the fries(5 guys style) were rather too salty, and the drinks were rather too expensive, so this a trap my wallet could not escape, haha!
J. L.
Best burgers, although expensive fries.
M. K.
Was at FIVE GUYS in at Vincent street on Monday fantastic service staff were super friendly and very efficient and knowledgeable food was just like the staff AMAZING thank you
l. m.
Best burger and chips,my daughter took me here she said the portions are huge and plenty chips well she was right tbey was so much but managed every bit, defo recommend xxxx
D. A.
Food lovely especially the milkshakes, one criticism is there was no alternative option for chips if you don't take salt you can't have them - lost points for that with me.
A. N.
Good alternative for McDonald's to have burgers. Their shakes are really famous.
D. F.
There burgers are awesome. Since eating there I don't want to ever touch another burger other then there's ever again because there so juicy and tender
S. B.
Extremely expensive, but good quality. Prices are much more than USA. Can be extremely busy during mealtimes. Frequented largely by an younger clientele. No WiFi but can get nearby O2 Wi-Fi signal.
D. N.
Fantastic! Been a few times now and I can't fault the place. Only one thing but it's petty...the person cleaning the tables kept coming back to clear from our table (upstairs) while we were still eating. Didn't have that happen when we were sitting down stairs. Found it odd and annoying trying to have a conversation with her about every 5 mins.
D. H.
5 Guys does do good burgers. And boy do they want you to know about it.
However £15 for a small burger and fries is pushing it.
I. K.
The burgers are outstanding, as are the milkshakes. Not the cheapest but the taste of the food makes up for it.
Still feel the same
J. D.
The best fast food burger I've had.. So juicy and yummy.. Their fries are great too but those burgers are too good..
M. S.
Warm welcome. Busy staff all working extremely hard. If on limited time not sure if this is the place to go. Burger value for money & made fresh.
J. G. T. F.
Best fastfood for what it's worth. Amazing sandwich, grate fries, very well served and the soda machine with more than a hundred combinations is grate.
A. C.
American Diner styled burger joint operating a simple burger or hotdog, chips and drink menu. Admittedly the food is tasty and portion size is decent, however it is expensive.
G. C.
Staff in st Vincent street branch were very friendly. They were pretty busy and I had to wait but I was kept up to date with my orders progress. Place was clean. Tasted great.
J. N. B.
I personally love the hamburgers here seems made with fresh food. A bit pricey compared to some of the competition, you can't really make a combo with the fries and drink for example.
A. Y.
Really tasty burger. Awful wait to get it. Not cheap.
S. K.
Amazing burgers! Wait was quite long but worth it for an amazing, fresh burger. Also very generous portions of fries!
R. G.
Delicious burgers. Just as good as any I've been to in the States. Maybe better because the fries were perfectly crispy.
S. D.
First time visiting and a surprisingly tasty burger ! The staff kind of expect you to know what it's all about is a minor criticism, but we'll worth it . Not as cheap as you know who , but tastier .
B. S.
if you are after a cheap burger, this IS NOT the place for you
the meat is fresh, every order is made to order, the SMALL fries and JUNIOR burger are more than most can manage for a lunch, the small fries are more than double the size of burger king's large
the junior burger is 1 meat patty, about the size of a quarter pounder, but the meat is FAR better
as for the choose your toppings, no place comes close
a NORMAL burger is 2 patties, so like a big mac made with quarter pounders patties.
unlike burger king, they don't use a microwave to reheat the burgers and melt the cheese
(yes burger king assemble the burgers, wrap them and microwave them, char grilled at first but reheated by microwave)
and IF your not full, help your self to some roasted peanuts, there's boxes everyplace.
my only down points
CHECK where the todays potatoes are from, the days when they are from Moorlands farm are not the best
NO wifi? come on, great music, great food, but no wifi?
I. G.
Very tasty food, fresh ingredients, open grill, fast service. Also one of the best milkshakes I've had, will definitely be returning
R. C.
Excellent burgers but expensive.
Too many fries!
M. M. (.
Great burgers and chips however a bit over priced for what you get. Clean environment. Great for a quick bite to eat.
R.
Extremely welcoming staff and quelity food; Expensive but super filling, you'll be dying to come back for more. My favourite fast food joint, by FAR.
D. M.
Best burgers in town ,the fries are fab too.
O. D.
The food was great, but clearly overprice for this kind of food. Where I come from (in Canada), a burger like this is normally 3 times cheaper.
J. H.
Excellent burger and chips with a good drinks selection
K. F.
First visit and won't be the last. Food very good.
J. S.
Don't know what these negatives are about
Me and the Mrs think it's the best burger you can get - fries are a deal n half owing to the amount you get and the quality - the place is darn good
M. M.
It's a 5 guys! Who doesn't love 5 guys...
I.
Just the best burgers. Considering five guys is a fast food chain they are just exceptional!
K. B.
This place makes awesome burgers! It's kinda pricey but seriously good! Fast food done well.
A. D.
How a burger should be. You can actually eat it with one hand, tastes great and lovely spicy fries. But... overpriced for fast food :(
R. D. S.
I personally love the burgers here. My friends prefer other places...I think these are the juiciest burgers I've ever tasted
K. H.
Great burgers great options but I have to say a bit on the pricey side for what is ultimately an upmarket McDonald's. Once. In a while treat
J. C.
Always a nice place to hit before a gig or night out. Price is steep but the succulence of the burgers and hot dogs is worth it.
K. C.
Always good! Didn't get her name but the lady on tills was so nice this time too
s. k.
So good but soo expensive, also not great that they only offer chips fried in peanut oil ( I know it is their thing but it's rubbish considering alot of people are allergic to nuts)
N.
I've eaten at Five Guys in the states, I don't think it's anywhere as good in Glasgow as it is in the USA. There was a wait of about 15 minutes to get the food, which is too long for this type of food in my opinion. It was OK, but not worth the money.
J. L.
Good tasting burgers, but tell them to give you less fries. It's a waste and even the most hungry person can't finish them.
E. N.
Amazing burgers and fries. Fast food the way it should be. Get what ever toppings you like. Really is a burger your way
A. R.
Burgers are very good and the chips are amazing especially with the Cajun spice! But it is a bit expensive for a burger and chips from a fast food place!!
N.
Brilliant food, it is a bit pricey but the free add ons more than make up for it, the bigger the buck the bigger the bang with this place. Service is top notch for the standard aswell. 5 Stars!!
R. G.
Spot on service, good quality food, reasonable prices, helpful polite staff every thing you could possibly want.
One negative point is the music is far too loud.
R. B.
I don’t think I can eat a McDonalds burger after this. Just great! Quick service and no other fuss- only focused on a great burger.
E. R.
So delicious, so many fries, so many flavours of fizzy pop. The grilled cheese with BBQ sauce is my particular favourite.
M. D.
Delicious burgers and the fries are great. The coke machine with the different flavours is fun. Bit expensive.
D. O.
Wonderful staff, best hamburgers & fries by far, popular so expect about 15 mins for your food too arrive but worth the wait.
R. H.
Love 5 guys. This one wasn't the best but pretty good
M. K. B.
The best burgers 🍔 in the world and the most delicious fries I’ve ever eat
Highly recommend
J. D.
Best burgers about.
