the staff were friendly, professional & helpful (incl giving me info on an unrelated matter). i had to wait a few minutes, however not long, the patrons were cool & the food had that vibrant freshly cooked hit 🎯.
i had chips, panko-coated scallops, homemade garlic sauce & homemade chilli sauce. the portions were sizeable 👷🏾♂️🛠.
i sat overlooking the bay, and i thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
the chips were succulent, the scallops ultra fresh and perfectly fried, the sauces very tasty and a perfect accompaniment to a superb meal.
actually a little surprised no one appears to have mentioned the chilli sauce. man was slightly & very happily taken aback to discover it was warm [physically hot] and made freshly in-house with carefully selected tomatoes, as well as having a distinctive, well-balanced flavour.

N. L.Pretty good chips, large portion and reasonably price so good value for money. White Pudding was deep fried well and crispy on outside and succulent inside. I couldn't in all good conscience give 5 stars tho because I've been to award winning chippies and there is a difference. I would definitely recommend this one tho, it's definitely best option for a takeaway in the area.
A. H.AMAZING! Absolutely beautiful fish and chips and sausage supper. We took the short walk to the harbour and ate a lovely supper in a lovely village. Loved it so much we went back for an extra portion of chips to take back to our holiday cottage. Friendly staff and great service. Very reasonably priced for such fresh food. GIVE THIS CHIPPY A TRY IF YOUR ON THE BLACK ISLE!

S. P.Delicious! I had the Harbour Salad and chips and my husband had a Vegetarian pizza and we shared them. The girl at the counter explained what was in the Harbour salad (potatoes, carrots, peas and gerkins) and that it was freshly made by the owner and recommended it. It was lovely, as was the pizza. My husband makes his own pizzas at home and said this was the best shop bought takeaway pizza he's ever had.
The chips were tasty and freshly cooked, far, far better than the ones I had a few days ago from the chip shop in Fortrose.

Chicken nuggets were extremely salty and basically inedible.
Asked for sauce on the chips and got a meagre amount from a dubious bottle that obviously hadn't been used in a while.

It was raining outside and there is no seating in to eat at the shop so we had our food inside the car facing the loch with drizzle and some nice fresh wind, I would say not too bad...

Would recommend a visit! Picnic tables on green (beside shore). Plenty of bins and clean toilets there. Lovely to sit out and eat at, on a sunny evening!

All the food is cooked to order and well worth the wait!
You can walk down to a grass area with tables to eat your food.
The shop is cash only, they are very friendly and helpful you won't want to pass this by!
t. b.Great chippie, definitely lived up to it's reputation. We will be back soon. Only gripe from our wee one was that it would have been nicer to have melted cheese on the cheesy chips. Otherwise spot on!

C. M.Phoned in order and told 30 minutes. Fair enough as its first "tourist" weekend. I use this chipper often but not happy this time. 45 minutes later I am still standing outside. Most of the staff were apologetic but 1 tall young girl needs to work on her customer service. Moaning to other staff and was very rude when I mentioned the wait - my fault for being early! I still waited longer than the 30 mins !
