L. J.One of the most memorable meals I’ve had this year. A diverse, interesting and well thought out menu, it was difficult to choose as I would have enjoyed it all. The food was skilfully prepared and delicious, I couldn’t fault any of it. Service was great and our request to change tables was handled quickly and professionally. If I was local I’d be a regular customer here, but I hope to come back soon!
i. b.Invited to come out for lunch here by an old friend who we've not seen for over a year, and she swears by this place for pretty much any time of the day dining. Between us we had fish, chicken and charcuterie/cheese board, and all were excellent. Great attentive, personable service without being obtrusive.

Excellent menus. Very high quality local and seasonal ingredients beautifully cooked.
A great full menu as was a lighter snack menu. Two of us had pizzas and others tried their mixed plate by menu.
They have a full starter range and delicious deserts. Even a choice of gourmet hot chocolate!
Very attentive friendly staff who are obviously well trained and experienced.
Also worth pre booking as they get busy.

S. K.the staff at this restaurant are a cut above the rest. So incredibly friendly and really wonderful. The chef writes their menus daily based on seasonal produce. We really enjoyed the salmon we ordered, though I think it could do with even more spiciness. The side of potatoes could do with a bit more seasoning too. The pizza was delicious though. I’d also recommend ordering the homemade lemonade which was perfectly balanced (though maybe go without ice as it did get watered down over the course of our meal). My husband had the turmeric juice which he thought was interesting, something different.

n.Went for my first time here for my mum's birthday with family. An outstanding example of service, presentation, food, drinks, alternative selections and social distancing/hygiene measure done the right way.
A fantastic and warm welcome on arrival. Drink service was quick, we took a while longer to order our food due to having a 5 year old. The waitresses couldn't be better. Always happy to work with us to get food to the wee one first. The entire meal was stunning from the confit garlic and slow roast tomatoes on toast, the marmite lamb chops (blew me away) and the lemon tart! The baked selection looked so good and all the cured meats had us drooling. The coffee was also next level! Will 100% be back!!!

I found IV10 by chance, driving through Fortrose, and am so glad we stopped. The team were incredibly friendly, and showed us to a table in their sunny outdoor seating area.
There was a good range of vegetarian options available, as well as an extensive drinks menu.
If it's available, I'd definitely recommend the chocolate tart.

A. M.This was our first visit to this restaurant and it will not be our last. We were warmly welcomed and we arrived just before 12 noon there was plenty seating available. We opted for soup and pudding and you get a very generous helping of soup. There is music on in the background but it is not too loud. It may be advisible to book as it was quite busy by the time we were leaving just after 1pm. The restaurant is easily accessible with a wheelchair and one member of staff opened the door for us when we left. All in all we were delighted to try somewhere new.

After spending time in the fresh air on the water with its cold wind, we were joyed to find this small cafe at the edge of Fortrose. It has a great variety of different hot 🍫 in different flavors. The scones were also good.

First time I've been here in a few years since new owners took over. Far superior and food fantastic. Lovely menu with great choices. My friend and I ordered 10" pizza with a cheese board, chips and coleslaw to share. Cheese board had selection of cheeses, cold meats and pickles pickles. We also had chocolate cake and the coconut and blueberry cake with cream and coffee. All delicious. Great experience and will most definitely go back. Recommend this lovely deli which has a wee shop and takeaway section with lovely outdoor eating. 10 stars ✨

We came during a visit to some local friends and I can not wait to go again!
My wife and I were so excited to try all the dishes we ended up ordering half the menu. I can honestly say nothing let us down. The squash dish with feta was excellent, the beef rib pie was superb and the beef croquettes were fabulous!
You can park along the road just outside and it's easy to get into with little or no steps.
If you are in rosemarkie or fortrose DO NOT give this place a miss you will regret it.

a. s.Popped in here after our very long walk. They were great and managed to fit us in for a very late lunch, despite being fully booked in the evening and having to get ready for the evening rush. We had coffees and some food and it was lovely. Also very impressed with how clean they kept it, they cleaned the toilet everytime someone went in, and cleaned every door etc, covid didn't have a chance! Also impressed with their masks as they were clear which is great for people who are hard of hearing, and for those with disabilities who may need help reading expressions. Very modern and I am not surprised they were fully booked as it was wonderful

The service could have been slicker (usual staff on hols) but we were not in a hurry and the cafe was bright, spacious, buzzing and had obviously had a lot of thought given to every detail of decor, layout and menu. Many tables reserved but we only wanted a cuppa & cake so we were allowed a table for an hour and a half. Highly recommended.

This place is no ordinary place. It's an all day cafe, great place for chatting ( with or without the epic selection of wines.)
I highly recommend booking if you are looking to visit during lunch or dinner service as it seems the Highlands are loving having a place that reminds them of the bigger cities of Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Cheese and charcuterie sharing board to start is excellent, mains freshly cooked and good value for quality of produce - lamb flat bread was amazing. Full range of Cromarty and Black Isle beer. Decent gin and whisky selection too. Really can't wait to come back - dining out in the Highlands as it should be. Bravo.

M. S.One of the best informal dining places in Inverness and surrounding areas. Great for either coffee and a cake, or for a full meal. Everything is home made, including their superb cakes - their brownies are to die for! Main courses are imaginative and beautifully prepared. If you are planning a full meal, it is definitely worth booking ahead as it can get full quickly. Definitely in my top "must visit" restaurants/cafe's within 50 miles of Inverness.

Bustling, even on a Thursday lunchtime and all tables reserved but we were welcomed and quickly given a table outside with the offer of moving inside when a table became free. The décor is relaxed and pleasing and the ambience great.
Food: I had a small portion of fish and chips (actually a very generous portion) and it was quite the best fish in batter that I have ever had. Delicious, succulent flakes of fish in a light batter. My husband had a pizza which he too, described in glowing terms. Coffee was 'proper coffee' (!)and the orange and almond cake, fabulous. IV10 also sells a small selection of deli products which look interesting. We have been recommending IV10 to everyone since our visit, and will make it a regular stop, ourselves.

F.Well I don't know where to start with this review. If I could give it more than 5* then I would give it 8. I took my partner for a 12 noon lunch. Thankfully we booked as it was busy. For starter I had bang bang duck and my partner had beetroot salad. Now I normally don't like cold food like duck as I prefer it warm (I'm funny like that) it was the best duck dish I have ever eaten and a huge portion. My partner had the beetroot which I don't normally like but this dish converted me to eat beetroot (seriously). Both cleaned our plates. Main I had sausage and mash and partner had fish. My Goodness again two massive portions of the best food I have eaten in years. Again two cleaned plates. Oh yes we were stuffed. I had to drink a white hot choc then a latte, partner had a delicious large red wine. After reading some, if not the majority of the reviews I was expecting a large bill. Far from it. I have paid much more for less in Kitchen, Mustard Seed and many more restaurants. The only thing that was missing was the option for a loyalty card as I will definitely be returning to try the rest of the extensive menu. If I was one of these people that take photos of my food then I would have loved to show you all the delights we seen today but that is up to you to experience for yourselves. I need to summarise now as this review is too long and by far my longest I have ever written.
If your looking for a near Michelin star restaurant to excite your tastebuds then this place is a no brainer or Sutors Creek in Cromarty. For all the bad reviews (4* or kess) this place has, I think the people must have gone to another IV10 as we experienced none of the negatives mentioned in fact it was far from it. Perfect experience in every way. Well done everyone involved in making my lunch with my partner one to certainly remember. See you soon.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, service first class and the food was wonderful, especially the extensive range of vegetarian options. Current Covid restrictions are followed thoroughly, giving a reassuring feel to any visit. Really enjoyed our visit and would recommend highly for visitors to the Black Isle.
