I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while. It was one of the best fish suppers I’ve had in years! The chips were chunky and had great flavour. The fish had excellent crisp on the batter. The fish itself was okay( good fish hard to get). However, it was beautifully cooked. The staff were smiling, accommodating and very friendly. It has a genuine Italian feel to it. This reminded me of a fish supper 40 years ago when yer chippie had an authentic Italian vibe. I hope the pasta and sugo is as good. !

The battered haggis torpedo from this chippy definitely hit it's target. I've never come across sweet chilli haggis before but as haggis is meant to be spicy it works works really well. Like most chippies where the battered works are sitting on standby in the hot plate containers, if you're interested in a sweet chilli haggis you might need to ask for it to be made up, but quality takes time. Washing it all down with a tin of Bru 1901 (which I think is better than actual Bru and I'm so glad they made the decision to release the vintage stuff in cans) I really enjoyed this chippy. The staff are also good chat as well.

Bought two delicious steak pies and chips with gravh and peas which is areal homemade steak pie with plenty of stew and crust and was amazing would highly recommend it definitely be back here again its abit expensive but well worth the money

Used to be the best chippy about but the prices are through the roof these days, remember you could get a buttered roll and fritter with gravy for 90p and god know how much they charge for that now. Girls inside are usually lovely tight enough. Still half decent food just doesn’t warrant the prices.

Love Jaconelli's but has to be a treat as quite pricey. Fish supper £8.90, with 2 slice of fish. Food always fresh and good variety. Family favourite, definitely a winner in this house.

Bought a fish supper which was lovely! I also bought a portion of fritters which was a disgrace!! They couldn't have cut them any thinner. When I bit into them it was like a mouthful of grease, obviously because there was hardly any potato! Definitely wont buy again

Love this place, the chips are always the right balance of fluffy vs crispy. My wife loves the homemade steak pie. Great traditional fish and chip shop with a few modern extras. Covid safe, and helpful friendly staff.

I have always hung around here since 2008 hoping that when Trainspotting 2 started rolling, they’d find me cutting around and add me as an extra. That never happened but I gained 50 pounds eating their breakfast rolls and lost £12000 gambling. Worth it.

Ordered special fish supper (done in breadcrumbs) at shop. Very busy dealing with delivery outfits. Had to wait about 15mins. Fish was overdone so very crunchy. I think it was haddock. Quite a large piece. Far too many soggy chips. I've had this before via Just Eat and was better. I think the delivery outfits get priority over walk ups.

Used to love this place, chips and gravy are amazing. Ice cream is amazing. However recently I broke a tooth on a large stone (YES A STONE) that was in a chip. Not sure how it got missed during the prep process but it has damaged two of my teeth and unfortunately it has put me off jaconellis forever!

Legendary fish and chip shop. There can be a wait at peak times due to the popularity of the establishment but it’s worth it! I recommend a half pizza crunch supper or a portion of chips with gravy!

Whenever I get chips out of there, they are perfect everytime and I have been a customer since the age of 9, when it was called Da Vinci's. Jaconelli's was recently refurbished and they have done a fantastic job of it and have a new oven for cooking pizzas, which are also fantastic. If there are any vegetarians out there they do have veggie burgers. They also sell delicious ice cream. The most recent one I tried was Scottish Highland toffee. It was lovely.

Best chippy in the area but sometimes would like to wait the extra 5 mins for fresh cooked. To make it 5 stars it staff should ask this when ordering.... i.e do you want to wait for fresh or one in the hot holder.
