Amazing food, really helpful and attentive staff. Perfect place for a meal out! Had the steak as my main and the portion was really generous based on the price. Drinks were good value and cocktails were really good quality. Would recommend for evening/romantic meals but would definitely be careful if you are going with elderly/disabled guests as the stairs up to the restaurant are quite steep.

Today myself and my husband dined here, this was our first time at the restaurant and we had a really lovely time. The food was lovely we had a starter to share and then a main meal. We had the haggis to start it was beautiful I would order this again. Then I had chicken for main my husband had steak. We both had a few cocktails each and was overall had a lovely time. I would recommend dinning here, the staff were very nice, well manor, polite and attentive x

Two of my friends and I came here on vacation while we were in the city and it was simply amazing. The staff were so friendly and inviting. There was a party going on when we came in so it was lively and a great time. They made a special vegan dish and were so accommodating. If I am ever in the area I would definitely come back. I wholeheartedly recommend coming here!

Small, and it is small, so book ahead beautiful food and courteous efficient staff in a happy clean casual atmosphere, extensive menu with a daily specials board, very reasonably priced. Extensive wine list, food is exceptional and not a long wait, just long enough for you to understand that it is beong cooked to order. Dont be put off by its size, still can host a good amount of tables without feeling cramped in, Give it a try, you wont be sorry.

Superbly unexpected quality plentiful cuisine. The menu was varied with seafood,steaks, pasta and burgers as well as daily specials. My starter of two Stornoway black pudding was made exquisitely by adding caramelized apple and chorizo to a pepper sauce. It was absolutely scrumptious and well worth considering even just for a light bite. My pasta dish was Pasta Cortoccio cooked in tinfoil. The pasta and bolognese sauce combined perfectly. It kept warm for a long time in a huge plate. So much that I took some home for the next evenings meal! The restaurant is up a flight of stairs so perhaps not accessible for everyone.
