I was devastated to lose Gnom but Lobo has filled the void nicely. A delicious array of Mediterranean fusion small plates, the flavours were all so well balanced and so tasty. Loads of choice for veggies and vegans with a heavily veg leaning menu. Generous serves (five plates were too much for the two of us), a buzzing atmosphere, and top-notch friendly service.

I went for a catch-up with friends and we spent the entire meal talking about how incredible the food is. Everything was incredible but especially the croquettes. The staff were brilliant and so personable, the restaurant is a sweet wee place and I’m already looking for excuses to go back.

Called with really short notice but they managed to shuffle things around to cater for our party of 3. Alex was amazing, selling the menu an specials option. Food was amazing and now added to our favourites list. Just one things guys, heat the plates up before sending them out, the food is too delicious to let get cold.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Staff were really friendly, food was excellent. We had 5 dishes which was plenty for 2 people. Highly recommend the lamb meatballs they were delicious. Presentation of dishes was brilliant and prices were very reasonable. Good atmosphere and wait times were not long. I shall definitely be back.

Excellent food with creative small dishes. Great focus on vegetarian dishes with lots of Spanish and Italian flavous. Lovely addition to the Southside! Friendly team and casual atmosphere.

We had to book well in advance to get a seat and was well worth it. The menu is not long but has a carefully thought through selection of dishes of Mediterranean inspiration. Very nicely prepared with some unusual ingredients. The wine list also is not long but has the range you want suited to the cuisine. My only cavil is the noise. Were the music turned down a notch or two, the patrons would not need to speak loudly and I'd be giving five stars.

Very, very much enjoyed. The food was excellent and the portion sizes justified the price of some of the more expensive dishes. We had a couple of babies and they were more than happy to accommodate; that said pram parking is at a premium. Nice ambiance, fair wine list and cosy. Assume the menu rotates regularly but will find out on a return trip.

Staff really friendly and welcoming, can't fault them. Lovely selection of bottled drinks too. The food however (autumn menu)... We were pretty disappointed to be honest. There were too many overwhelming flavours competing with each other. The plates were ok on their own (aside from the parsnip one, which was fab!). Would've thought with tapas you'd want to design each dish to complement the others, but every plate worked against each other. The heavy spiciness of the chicken kebab especially just ruined the whole meal. With the outstanding reviews and price point, expected a lot better. Maybe just poor timing and other menus have been a lot more cohesive.

Exceptionally fabulous service and amazing tasting food. Small dishes from a minimal menu, meaning what they do is done extremely well. We had eight small (not so small) dishes between three of us and struggled to finish them. Brilliant choice for vegans and vegetarians, would highly recommend booking ahead to experience this wee gem 💎

Absolutely loved it. Some of the fanciest food I've had in my weegie life, but its done in a humble atmosphere with no pretentions. The menu has a crazy amount of variety on it for such a small place. Also appears to be seasonal, which is exactly what you want. An ever-changing variety that will reflect whats available locally and beyond, if required. The churros were amazing, perfect amount of softness and crunch to them. Same with the gnocchi. The pumpkin and mushrooms that accompanied that were class. Absolutely adored the hake, the salmorejo and the crushed black olives. The courgette salad with it wasn't to my taste but that's going to be down to me not being 100% on courgettes. Topping it all off was the fried apple empanada and ice cream with the pecans. I'd have gotten more but I was already stuffed to hell and back. They say they're small plates but they're certainly good enough for me. I'll be yelling at all my pals to give it a visit.

The food was excellent, the staff were excellent, the whole thing was excellent. Will absolutely be back in the future. Special thanks as well to Lobo for allowing us to move our booking by 1 hour because our train was delayed. They didn't have to do this at a busy time of year. Easiest 5 stars ever ✨️

Really great food and great atmosphere in the restaurant, this was our 3rd time here and it didn’t disappoint, the two main waiters who served us were excellent, friendly and helpful. Only reason not 5 stars is a bit awkwardly at the end a third waiter asked if we wanted anything else and before we could ask for the bill he told us cause our time was up. Made us feel like we’d overstayed our welcome but we’d been waiting for the bill for a while and the other waiters were busy serving other tables. Made to feel pretty unwelcome at the end.

Quite honestly one of the best meals I've had in years. We shared the chicken, cauliflower, crab, and focaccia dishes. I will be thinking about this meal for years to come. The staff are also absolutely great.

Absolutely fabulous from start to finish - beautiful atmosphere, perfect wine, all of the vegan dishes I ordered were delicious, unique and surprising. Two of our group agreed that the gnocchi was the best they'd ever tried. It was somehow an even better dining experience than our first visit! Highly, highly recommended.

Visited here for the first time for lunch with a friend , who had visited previously and really enjoyed it. The place itself is relaxed and has a nice friendly vibe. Staff were great. Really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the food, attentive without being pushy. My friend and I are both vegetarians and the choices on the menu were superb. It’s rare to go somewhere and be spoilt for choice. At Lobo, vegetarians really are. The menu has emphasis on sharing plates, and was described by our waitress as being similar to tapas but with more generous portions. She recommended how many we should have. Her advice was spot on. We settled on 4 dishes, which came out as and when they were ready. There was, though, very little wait for each dish, which meant all dishes remained hot and we could mix and match flavours. There really was no dish that wasn’t delicious. Chef is clearly very talented and takes great pride in their creations, and credit is well deserved. We really had no space for dessert, but couldn’t resist sharing the polenta cake, which was delicious. I would highly recommend this wee jewel in Glasgow and had some of the best vegetarian food I’ve had anywhere. Can’t wait to return

Wow!! 🤩 Came across this place and followed on Insta since before it opened! Did not disappoint!! Thankfully we booked a table as people were coming in and getting turned away. The food tho! 👌🏼 So they tell you it’s Mediterranean tapas style but it’s not like your bog standard meatballs, chorizo, prawns etc in the terracotta bowls nonsense - this is proper tasty grub! The flavours are well thought through and plates well presented. They do advise plates won’t come out at the same time but there’s not mega gaps like some places! You are also told if you want to order more you can add on at any time. We were there at lunch and as a table of 4, tried quite a lot of the menu - it was all too good to choose from! The tomato starter and the pea and mint fritters were off the scale!!! The lemon tart was a fantastic finisher too 🍋 I forgot my phone for pics but tbh we just wanted to dive right in anyway! Can’t wait to return and I already know what I’ll be ordering!! 😂😂

I absolutely love this new restaurant. Its a great addition to strathbingo and fits in perfectly. The food is incredible. Inventive light plates with Mediterranean/Spanish vibe and wine and cocktails to match!! The staff are friendly and welcoming. You can tell they all care about what they are doing. I'm Here to tell You the hype is real! Hard to get a table so book early. 10/10! Keep doing what you're doing guys! Amazing

This place is incredible! The food is excellent. Every dish was very creative and tasted great. For “small” plates, these are massive. My fav dishes with the blue cheese croquettes, the harissa lamb and the cannelloni beans. The wine selection was excellent. The staff were brill too! I was dining with a vegan friend and any dishes that were on the vegan menu and the regular menu, they bought the non-vegan ingredients for me on the side. Will 100% be going again!

Not often you see a restaurant with 5 stars across the board but you would need to be very picky to give them anything else. Excellent food, reasonable prices and polished staff. From our meal the beetroot with whipped feta was a stand out with the blue cheese croquettes a strong 2nd. The tortilla was probably the weakest of our choices but still enjoyable. Anyway enjoyable small dishes concept reminiscent of Ox and Finch, Ka Pao etc And no traipsing out West. Mon the Southside!

First time in lobo. Meant to take photos of food for family to see but I was so busy eating it, I forgot! It was amazing! So hard to narrow down choices from brilliant menu. Among others, we had olive oil potatoes, cannelini beans, cauliflower. Too full for our own dessert so shared plum frangipane. Divine! Best dessert ever. Lovely atmosphere and great service - such nice people. Generous helpings. Bean dish was like crack! Sorry for all the exclamation marks but it's that kind of place.

Great food and reasonable value we thought, and a nice replacement of Gnom, the restaurant before of a similar ilk. Decor is the same (lovely) just more of a dinner vibe rather than brunch. We went all veggie and weren’t disappointed, although not ultimately wowed. The gnocchi could have had more of the very thing - 5 tiny gnocchis and loads of mushrooms didn’t seem right. Delicious anyway. Similarly the panzanella was gorgeous but not as impressive as some of the more unique items on the menu. The brandy cannoli could have been slightly sweeter but honestly these are all nitpicking things. The service was slower but this was actually a good thing - we didn’t feel rushed to give the table back like a lot of restaurants unfortunately rush you to do these days. We will definitely be back to try what we didn’t get this time.

Walking in from the cold to a very warm and welcoming space with even warmer staff greeting us. Lovely to see a separate vegan menu which makes ordering very easy indeed, especially when everything looks so good. Not long after ordering we had our table filled with many delishious plates ranging from warm bakehouse breads, garlic flat breads with baba ganoush to gnocchi and beetroot with roast potatoes. Every bite was better than the last. The cannoli with chocolate creme and mulled plums unexpectedly catered to vegans and was devine. I highly recommend a visit to Lobo.
