First time visit to the bar area for a birthday event. A little off the beaten track but I was really impressed. Friendly staff and a nice cosy, intimate bar area. Some interesting craft beer options and an upmarket feel. Looking forward to returning to try the food in the near future. Very family friendly

Lovely restaurant good menu and food. Restaurant was very busy but had good ambience. Its easy to move about as tables are spaced nicely apart and good layout in restaurant. Booked on Friday for 3 and partner had gluten-free menu. It isn't on website as a printed option is given on arrival. This is very clear with which are gf and which can have a gf option. Partner is always apprehensive with fried menu items being the worst for cross contamination but our meal didn't cause a reaction. We all had starters and mains which came out promptly despite there being a very large table served around same time. All were hot, well portioned and presented and waiting staff took care with gf option, as 1 was normal. I had a frito mistake which had a nice selection of seafood and had mussels for main. Both were well seasoned and looked lovely. Partner and friend both had lamb, one being gf option and were really good. Lamb was served medium with fried polenta chips with vegetables. Everything was cooked really well. Cocktails were good. Ordered 2 rounds each and they came quickly despite how busy it was. They had nice classic/contemporary selection and they were well priced, along with a few signature items. Gluten-free lager was available too. Didn't get dessert as pushed for time but menu looked good Place looked immaculate and toilets were clean and modern. Menu was quite big so will defo be back to try the rest soon. There is an attached separate busy bar and function room but its well separated from restaurant. Can't wait to come back.

My husband and I go here most Fridays for lunch. We tend to order the same food and drinks. We love the prawn cocktail, and the steaks are really really good! We've tried the paella (tasty!), the prawn tempura (yummy!) and the seabass (perfectly cooked!). The service is really good! I love going here as its close to home and the food has always been good. Cant wait for our next visit!

Outstanding food delivered to our party of 10 icl 2 under 5s Kudos to the Chef easily the best Steak I've ever had , each and every dish was equivalent to fine dining in my experience ! The Manager worked his socks off to ensure everyone in the very busy restaurant was given 1st class service outstanding gentleman that has been there for years and we have had this service from him quite a few times when having private family events today we also had our fathers Wake earlier and again as always very well looked after , this place never disappoints, sincere Thanks to him and his staff from all of our family

Was in Loks today with my other half and I have to say I was impressed. The atmosphere was really great, and the food was amazing. The service was a little slow, and some of the staff seemed a little new… however the food was totally worth the wait! The burger was cooked perfectly and the Katsu curry was beautiful. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a night out. Shout out to Chris for his service 👌

Nice looking restaurant, I've eaten here several times. The last few times food was average and today wasn't any better. Pretty bland, King Prawn Tempura dripping with grease. The mains again a bit bland, the chips were not so good, hard on the inside, although the meat was quite tasty. Nice desserts. Its pub food at restaurant prices. The wine is very reasonably priced which is a plus. The service is much the same as the food, middle of the road. If the power companies leave me any disposable income after October rise I'll be spending it elsewhere.

went to this restaurant last night with a friend and it was incredible! The food quality was really good, all really fresh and cooked at the moment. They have a great vegan menu with a good variety of dishes and different cuisines. We ordered the wild mushrooms on focaccia, bbq cauliflower and pitted olives for starters. The mushrooms were incredible (probably my favourite part of this meal), the cauliflower very tasty and crispy and the olives had a really interesting flavor, kinda smoky and spicy (but not too much). For main I ordered the superfood salada and some focaccia on side. The focaccia was really fluffy (like a savoury cake, loved it) and the ingredients of the salad were really good, with different textures and flavors. The decoration of the place was fancy and the staff really nice. Defined recommend it, totally worth it! 😊

Delicious fish and chips, also had the cranachan for dessert which was lovely. Went about an hour and a half before the kitchen closed and sat at the bar, which was quiet. Matthew was an excellent server - polite, attentive, and friendly. The restaurant was clean and service was quick.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at Lok’s this afternoon. The roast beef was super tender and had a Yorkshire pudding the size of your head! Great service. All the staff were very kind and patient with my autistic brother - he was most excited by the dark chocolate brownie pictured and who can blame him! Don't know what's happened to Loks. Used to be great and is now only approaching mediocre. Mac cheese bland and chips were seriously the worst.....looked and tasted like reheats, if there is such a thing. Coffee was cold. This is 2nd visit when I've been disappointed. So sorry as I had thought 1st visit was a one-off bad day. Not so judging by today's experience. A shame really.

Lovely little restaurant in the Southside of Glasgow, went for a Mother’s day lunch with my ma and the food was amazing. Big and filling portions that I struggled to finish, but not due to the taste. 100% recommend and will be returning for my up-coming birthday dinner.

Still a bite to the green beans, carrots and cauliflower - great. I also heard that the salmon was very good as well. The function suite has its own bar, staff and will accommodate 100 plus. There would be about 50/60 there.

Service is great here. Food is amazing. Starters of Brie and Cranberry parcels and chicken pakora were 1st class I would say that the chicken burger was a bit overdone, same with chicken in Katsu curry. Wouldn't put me off going back.

Overall - the food was tasty. Portion size was decent & the prices were reasonable. The inside seating area was quiet as most people opted to sit outside so where we were was very chilled out & relaxed. We were sat at a booth even though there was only two of us & it was perfect. I had mac n' cheese with chips & some baby tomatoes on the side - as I said, it was good. Not the best mac n' cheese I've ever had but certainly not the worst. The reason I scored Loks 3 stars instead of 5 is because the service was chaotic! There seemed to be no structure or managerial input as to who was serving which tables - We were repeatedly asked if a member of staff had taken our food order, or a drinks order, did we have the bill? Did we want to pay the bill? Have you ordered dessert? Do you need a menu? It was just too hectic & a bit annoying. My first, second & third picks from the menu were not available; mussels, bruschetta or pizza so I felt a bit disappointed - probably being told three times by three different servers that the kitchen had ran out of mussels didn't help ease that feeling! We had also booked a table outside so we could have a drink in the sun after our dinner but we only stayed for half an hour. The outdoor patio area was really busy (Bank Holiday weekend + good weather) & it felt a bit cramped.

Went to Loks Bar and Grill for the first time last night. I was in the Function Suite for a party and the set up was lovely. Great size for a range of get togethers. The bar staff were friendly and there was a good selection of Gins. The staff even added an extra table for guests to sit at. The beer garden outside looked very chilled, I think I will try get back here to try the food/restraunt itself

Had booked the function hall for my wedding reception during lockdown. Went to visit today and Nikki couldn't have been more patient or helpful. Given this four tries. Each time it has delivered well. I would recommend. Staff are attentive without being your BFF, food is good, plentiful, hot, delicious, well-presented, and comes all at the same time. You pay at the end, not up front, so you can decide on a desert or coffee. No pressure, no fuss, just relax and enjoy. One star missing? That's because the benching outside is a bit sore over time. Offer a wee cushion (especially for the older ladies) and it would be a full house!

First time trying out here Great place for families staff cant do enough for you customer service 10/10 my kids had burger and chips which were delish and so was their desserts, our starters were great however our sundays roasts were a huge disappointment the meat was extremely wet and mush not tender but total wet mush we refrained from eating much of it as was rather suspect. This is 1st time I'd been here. Very pleasant restaurant with nice fittings and furniture, next to a small local football club grounds. Very interesting menu with most tastes catered for. Prices on the slightly high side of average but with good daily reduced rate offers. I had great homemade soup, really interesting main of lamb flank which was LOVELY, then although I'd only wanted 2 courses, I had a dessert which I just had to have as they all sounded so different. It was poached pears, nuts and champagne sorbet. This was delicious. The atmosphere in Loks is smart, quiet and relaxed. The staff are fantastic. I would return as soon as I could. Very enjoyable.

Lovely friendly restaurant. Good food selection drinks and amazing cocktails. There are often deals on like half price cocktails on certain days, 2for1 on meals at certain times, OAP specials. There is a massive function room for private functions and events plus a separate bar area. They also do tribute nights and other events on Friday and Saturday nights as well as quiz nights.

Looks is a nice little restaurant to have lunch or dinner with friends or family. They also offer senior citizens deals at lunch time and it's usually a nice environment. They provide a separate area off of the main restaurant with a bar and some comfortable seating if your just out for a drink and a casual get together. Also provides a private function area for parties and the likes, however, I'm unsure on the pricing of this.

Steven from Loks Bar & Kitchen Glasgow has been an amazing server and help. He has been very kind and has served us very quickly. The food was great and it wasn’t very busy. He even offered to bring us side-plates during dessert as we wanted to share our desserts and take pieces of what we wanted. This is not our first time eating at Loks and I will definitely not be our last! Overall the service was amazing and so were the staff, especially Steven!

Exquisite service for a Saturday night and the bartenders were lovely, and talkative had a natural flow about them. It wasn't particularly busy at the bar but it has just the right amount of people to have a really good atmosphere about it. Quiet quaint and cosy. And drinks menu and food while astounding. I did not really enjoy my visit here, I found it to be too noisy for my liking, making it hard to hear conversation at our table without shouting at each other. However, the food was very good, but the concept of a split bill seemed to confuse the staff, and the menu we found to be confusing with the pricing given including a starter or a dessert but no option to just have a main on its own.

Loks is unassuming on the outside but really nice on the inside. It's a good place for lunch with plenty of room for babies. On a Thursday morning the bar area is kitted out for babies with a large play mat and comfy seats for parents. You can also get small bites in the morning such as toast and scones

Nice Food with a lovely surroundings, the burgers seem to be their speciality and they looked really nice. Starters are a bit on the small side, and the Thai Fish cakes have nothing that remotely hints at asia, and they came with what tasted like uncooked asian stir fry sauce. Attended the venue on Friday for the men of Mowtown evening, excellent evening had by all, my wife and i's feet are sore with the dancing, its good to get a dance. Venue very clean, toilets first class and spotless, drink reasonably priced for the venue. the wine was fantastic, I would recommend the Amoroni Valpolicella . will be back , already inquired about the next act that's coming. Met the manager at the door asking for directions, he stopped what he was doing and took us to our table, a nice touch.
