Came here with friends for dinner. We'd already make a reservation, so had no problems getting a table. It was a Tuesday evening and it was busy. Inside, there's a pleasant Andalusian theme that would not be out of place in the real city of Malaga itself. The specials board had about five items, all written in Spanish. Which I thought was a little strange given that the average Glaswegian isn't known for their linguistic skills. Since no one could read Spanish, we just ordered off the menu and settled on fritters, patatas, vegetarian paella, a mixed vegetable stew and mushrooms. The mushrooms were pretty awful, which no one could finish off. It tasted of brine, like it had come out of a tin. But everything else was really nice especially the paella, flavoursome, and well cooked rice, thoroughly cooked, soft and slightly firm like paella should be. The patata with a spicy sauce was so nice we ordered another portion. After the food, for some reason the waitress apologised for the slow service, which was absolutely not the case. The service was good especially considering how busy it was.

The food was absolutely delicious, we especially loved the croquettes which were 10/10. Also really enjoyed the calamari as they were fresh and not rubbery, the batter was light and not too oily. The pimientos de padron were also very good. Patatas bravas were a bit too crispy for my liking to the extent where some I couldn't really eat as I was worried I may lose a filling 😬 We also ordered one of the specials - scallops with romesco sauce. They came with iberico on top, which was not listed in the menu, and was an issue as my friends don't eat pork. The waiter was apologetic and offered a replacement. We then realised the romesco sauce is nut based, which we didn't know, and the allergen wasnt listed on the menu either but at this point we didn't want to turn into the guests from hell. Unfortunately the scallop dish wasn't the only hiccup that evening, as we had to wait over 40 min to be served food. Also when the bill came we noticed we had been charged for 2 soft drinks that we didn't have, we notified the waiter who took the bill but only took one of them out. We didn't bring it up again as it felt awkward but it reflected our tip. Also there was a bit of a sewage/stale smell, even tho we were far from the toilets. Overall, we had a good night, if this was in actual Malaga, I'd give it 3*, but since it is in the south side of Glasgow, my expectations were somewhat lower and the food was good

A great wee find, we will definitely be back. The staff were friendly. The menu was so tempting. I love paella and although we did get it this time, we know we want to go back to try all the other items they offer. The food was reasonably priced. The atmosphere was good. We booked for 6:30pm and it was quiet but by 7:30pm it was almost full. Yet the chatter noise didn't overwhelm me. I recommend checking it out if you are in the area.

Everything is delicious, a small corner of Malaga in Glasgow, a place where you can enjoy a good oxtail, or some eggplant with honey, fried fish, etc. The bill may vary depending on the amount of food you order

A glass of water in the middle of the desert. After 5 days of terrible food in Scotland, we were able to eat decently and in the best way with good service. We are vegetarians and we were able to eat a wide variety of tapas and the waiter was super attentive and pleasant. A 10 is an understatement for the bar that saved our lives among so much fried fast food and Hindus. We will come whenever we come back!!!

We visited midweek and were surprised by how busy it was (there was a school visit in) but the staff handled it effortlessly and we were well looked after. The food was lovely and good value - 3 plates and a soft drink worked out at about £20 a head. Would definitely recommend.

I always drive past this place and I've always wanted to try it for the past 3 years. It's a nice cozy place with a lot of options. They recommend 3 dishes per person and yup I'm stuffed after that. The chicken and lamb are halal but some of the items are cooked in wine so do watch out. The chicken skewers were a let down to be honest, as one of the 2 skewers were overloaded with fennel seeds, that ruined the taste in my opinion. My skewer was fine but my wife's wasn't. The food did come out quite relatively fast but I felt their general service later on in the evening slowed. I saw a few people waiting for service and noticed tables were still not cleaned quite a bit after other customers had left. None the less definitely would recommend it and look forward to trying the other dishes.

Typical Spanish tapas. dark place Very friendly waiters. They speak Spanish. Very good tapas with authentic flavor with some "pero", but very good. There is the Iniesta shirt and the Spanish national team shirt. Authentic music. The "but": ham is not acorn. It is served white and served with oil and parsley on top. Mussels, croquettes, Roman squid, etc., very good. If you miss the food at home, you have to go there.

It was my first time at Malaga tapas and I'm not sure if i'd go back. The staff is really nice, the wine list was good but i wasn't impressed by food. It reminded me of some typical touristy tapas bars in Barcelona. Apart from Calamaritos which was great, all the other tapas we got were very basic.

Brilliant service and top quality food. Will be back soon. Has all your favourites and a great specials board. We ended up going for six tapas but added another two. Calamares is one I always go for and I was not disappointed here. Lamb chops had a nice marinade. Could not fault any dish. Tried one of the white ones which hit the spot. Staff were friendly and attentive. Always good when they tell you when to stop ordering tapas and just tell you to order more if need be. Location is not on the 'main strip' around Shawlands or Strathbungo but not far away at all. Less than 30 minute walk from Shawlands Cross. Plenty of parking at the venue. Highly recommend this place.

The food is excellent. It is, however, very expensive for what you get. I know it's tapas, and the portions are supposed to be small, but these were very small and really not worth the money. It was about £35 per head, and I left feeling hungry!

Been coming here for a good few years now, a true hidden gem. Food is always incredibly fresh and well cooked. Would highly recommend any of the seafood dishes. The chef and wait staff are all A+ in my book. For the price you pay too it's very reasonable for the high quality that you get. Would recommend to anyone! If you're a tourist in the city centre it's a quick hop on the subway and a short walk to get here also.

We went as a group of 3 friends and the setting, service and atmosphere was top notch. The tapas is superb; definitely amongst the best in Glasgow. We ordered the paella for 3 people but didn't realise it was a full meal in itself. We should have checked more carefully, as it was £15 per person. Needless to say there was a shock when the bill arrived, however the staff were very good and took a little off to soften the blow, which was a generous gesture for our honest mistake. Great friendly and quick service. Authentic food. Great atmosphere. I look forward to trying more from the menu (and checking the portion sizes and prices more carefully in future! Sorry!)

Best tapas restaurant in Glasgow and my family have eaten here regularly for years. The dining area has been nicely renovated over the lockdown period with fresh paint on the walls and new furniture. Food as good as ever and hopefully things pick to you where it was prior to Covid.

Firstly, I'd like to call out the value for money you get here. Although some dishes I didn't feel were great (the pork skewers were dry, wasn't the best Spanish tortilla) some were delicious (best padron peppers I've had, the sweet and sour black pudding was amazing, individual chicken paella was really nice as was the white fish). Service was really good, great atmosphere (clearly a favourite with the locals), and the bill for 11 plates of food, 2 bottles of wine and some beer and a cocktail was just under £130! Definitely recommend.

Malta Tapas is a little bit of Spain on Glasgow's South Side. A wide selection of delicious tapas superbly cooked and beautifully presented. The boneless sardines were so tasty and the lamb chops exceptional. Great churros, hot chocolate and ice cream to finish. Friendly and attentive staff. A good well priced wine list, including a decent range by the glass. Nice low key ambience. Excellent value for money. Great if you are going to the nearby Tramway but worth going to just to eat. There is a sister restaurant, same name, in Sauchiehall St, which I haven't tried.
