The entrance we went in to the restaurant isn't the easiest for people needing to use the disabled badge parking, However, lovely food very much enjoyed our meals and cocktails. Would highly recommend ! Staff were very pleasant too.

I booked a table for 12 to celebrate my 60th birthday on 31st August. The staff were very welcoming and the food was fabulous. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere due to the lighting and furnishings. About half the party had not been before and were very impressed with food and service.

First time in Mitchell's. It's the first time we have had a lovely glass of water with ice as we sat down. Lovely touch. The starter's were excellent and the meal was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Yes we will go back most definitely. Well done 👏

Excellent eating place. Good food and very pleasant staff. Less expensive than I thought it would be. Will go again as nice varied menu. Well worth a visit if you want a change from burgers and chips.

Meal for 2 and 3 courses was only £56. Food was super tasty, full of flavour and just perfect portion sizes. We had bruschetta and black pudding for starters Fish and chips (some of the best tasting I’ve had at a restaurant) Omelette with haddock Strawberry pavlova Apple crumble There was so many options for deserts. If you haven’t tried Mitchell’s I recommend you do ❤️

Really nice ambiance with plenty of seating inside and outside. Not an extensive menu but all very good quality. Only one thing was wrong and that was the black pudding was overcooked and hard. All in all it was a good dining experience.

We went to celebrate a birthday with 22 of us they couldnt have been more accomodating, excellent service, super friendly and helpful, food was excellent, good size portions and no rush at getting the tables back. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

First class service and quality of the food. Duck breast starter was perfect combination of texture and taste. Venison was cooked just as I like it and the tower of mash, to and haggis a perfect match for the robust sauce. Companions enjoyed their dishes also (cod, lamb and chicken satay). One star off for the raucous group next to us who rather spoiled our evening.

Disappointed with this restaurant, have been to it numerous times but its certainly not the place it used to be. Waited ages for food and when it came it wasn't even warm, it was at the temperature you would give a young child, Yorkshire pudding was stone cold. We had previously spoken to owner about the length of time we had been waiting who told us that the meat was still being finished off in oven so if anything it should have been really warm. This restaurant used to be amazing, hopefully it gets back to what it was but the 10 of us who were there might not return. Came back tonight 28th October, a party of 6. Staff had laid out 2 tables for us, which I think they had been asked to do, we asked if we could just fit round one and they happily recorganised the tables. Our food was delicious and our waitress was lovely, we were slow at reading the menu but she patiently waited on us. Delighted to prove my 1st review wrong as it is a cosy restaurant and had always enjoyed going there. Thanks for a lovely evening. Taken the 3 star review to a 5 star

What a massive choice, extensive menu actually causes quite a challenge to choose a meal. Could halve the menu size and still maintain a decent amount of options. Anyway, staff great, food incredible, joint was rammed busy on a Sunday lunchtime but this didn’t seem to affect the quality. Sunday; Two courses for £17.50, can’t go wrong. Very impressed and highly recommended to all.

This is a magnificent restaurant. The location is within the quiet streets of Carmunnock and the restaurant itself is a very beautiful building, it feels cozy and comfortable. The staff and owners are really great, they always remember me and greet me with genuine warmth. Always very accommodating for bookings and any special requirements. The decor is great and nice dining area. Places to sit at the bar area or outdoors at the heated canopies. The aquariums are a great touch. The food is absolutely amazing, always a varied menu with a combination of hearty filling dishes and traditional dishes. I'm always left feeling like I want to go back as soon as I have left. Highly recommended.

Lovely place, in the middle of nowhere, but well worth a visit. The ambience and decor of the restaurant is really nice - each family has their own table, or booth. We were a family of 5 and everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend a visit. We will go back on our next visit to Glasgow, for sure.

Absolutely perfect place for a special occasion meal. We were a party of 9 there to celebrate my father's 90th birthday. They marked up the menu to make it a keepsake for us. The service was prompt, friendly and professional and the food was heavenly! Not a cheap evening out (hence my 'special occasion' comment), but worth every penny.

Booked the main restaurant area for our wedding dinner for about 45 guest. The staff were very helpful throughout planning, and nothing was too much trouble. The menu was great, and offered a wider selection than any other wedding I've been at. We were given the chance to have input to the menu, but it wasn't needed. Loads of our guests commented on how good the food was. I'd definitely recommend it, either for a private function or just for a nice meal out! My brother had his 50th birthday party in the private room at Mitchell's and it was a great day. Food is absolutely first class and the staff are so friendly. Beautiful environment and really is one of Glasgow's hidden gems. The choice on the menu is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable given the excellent quality of the food.

If you are looking for somewhere nice to eat then this is it! Quite simply go visit you won't be disappointed.Lovely decor,super friendly staff and exceptional food.Menu is huge and bound to be something to suit everyone,kids menu also available.Deserts are beautiful and my wife is still raving about the black forest pavlova! Price wise I wouldn't say it's cheap, but also it's not super expensive.I think the pricing is exactly where it should be for food and service of this quality.We will be going back for seconds very soon 😁

My fiancé's mother had her birthday party in the wee room at the back in mitchell's. There were 13 of us and the staff were extremely helpful and always had a smile as well as taking great care to ensure that we were all happy. The choice of starters can only be described as truly mouth watering, I'd have been happy just to have all starters they all sounded that good. The mains were not as descriptive as the starters and by that i mean there was less emphasis on where the food came from and so that remains my one and only critique. I will absolutely be going back to this restaurant as it really is first class and doesn't have to cost you a fortune to enjoy it either.

My wife and i held our wedding reception in here 25years ago when it was called the cool jade and had a lovely day with many great memories . we decided that it must be the venue for our 25th anniversary dinner . sadly we found the menu offered in the restaurant differed from the one advertised online with many of the dishes unavailable. my wife ordered a prawn linguine .with the pasta barely edible (undercooked) and a total of three prawns in the dish. I ordered a steak which was cooked perfectly and very nice however the chips that came with it were white and unappetising. Both meals were left unfinished and we left very disappointed. we complained by email the next day as the restaurant was very busy that night with people ordering from a set menu with a fixed price deal and to be very fair we were offered a full apology and a free meal as by way of compensation . which was very nice of Mitchell's to do however we decided not to take up the offer. Definitely not value for money

There for a very special birthday party and it was slightly marred by the fact that the food wasnt served till after 9pm ..we had been there since 7.30 .One of the guests has a lot of food allergies and they had been informed some weeks prior ..unfortunately her main meal was a poor effort ..only 3 little strips of lamb and a potatoe that looked like it had been plonked onto the plate un -cooked and in 3 strips also and some red wine gravy .Her potato was rock hard .For £30 a head for two courses it should have been better and a little more imagination .Had been suggested to the chef that he emailed the guest (he had the email address ) as she is a head chef herself and could have suggested something for them to make .I believe all the other guests enjoyed their food though and we still had a great night .It is a nice place and has been around for a very long time and the standards are generally high .
