Reviews of Mowgli Street Food

Amazing restaurant for a date night or visit with friends. Decor is amazing and really bright. All the dishes were fresh, zingy and tasty and came fairly quickly. Service was a little slow but you can let that slide with such a new place.

Delicious! The food is excellent, very tasty and filling. We got 5 different dishes between 2 of us and we were full and struggled to finish. Highly recommend the fish curry. The service was excellent and the restaurant decor is beautifully done.

The food was really good! Lovely place and friendly staff. They recommended 2 to 3 dishes per person, although some of the dishes (bunny chow!) are really big. Great portions for sharing. The yoghurt chat bombs are amazing!

Waited a while for this place to open. Worth every second. The food was AMAZING. Read the menu so much we kind of knew it lol. The treacle fries are joyous. Went for the Office Tiffin. OMG. Such amazingly good food. Each curry completely different than the other. First time I’ve been beaten by a curry in a long time but, the really nice staff boxed up what was left. Great food. Cannot wait to get back, I’d go now if I could!!

Beautifully decorated Indian restaurant in the middle of Glasgow city centre. It looks lovely with all the lights and swinging seats. Food was good and staff was really helpful. But adding of extra 12% service charge along with one pound charity donation is bit annoying. However you could ask not to add charity donation but it’s bit inconvenient I think.

Amazing food service and atmosphere. Would highly recommend. The food was incredible!!!

A bit disappointed with our first visit to Mowgli Glasgow . Lamb chops a bit burnt and tough , much of the dishes we had were very sweet including the fish which ruined it .
12.5% service charge is a poor add on to your bill also

1st time here and booked it to meet up with friends for my partners 50th birthday celebrations. They gave us the swing seats upstairs which were so much fun. The food was absolutely outstanding and this is from someone who is particularly fussy and doesn't really experiment with food. Everything that came out was delicious, portions are great . Service was superb and staff were all lovely and helpful when it came to us picking our dishes . Will most certainly return.

Fantastic Indian Street food. Great choice of menu, all beautifully prepared and served in a stylish manner. Staff were great

Food was of decent standard but flavourwise, no real depth. Service was good and decor is nice. Think the thing that impressed me most was the building.

My first encounter with Chat Bombs blown away by them. Then treacle tamarind fries OMG. Cannot say enough about this place food was amazing and staff very welcoming. My new love 😍

Food was fantastic and the staff were great. Helpful and friendly. Will definetly be back, even just for the monkey wrap and lamb chops! Like cocktails? The lychee cocktail is epic!

Not your typical Indian restaurant, food was amazing and staff friendly and helpful, you have to try the Yogurt Chat Bomb , never seen anything like it and let's say when you put it in your mouth you'll know why it's called the Bomb, excellent, well done

Food was amazing! Slightly slow for a lunch service, but had only been open a couple of days - I'm sure it will only get better :)

Fantastic meal in lovely surroundings, lived up to our expectations.
Only down side was temperature, sitting on the mezzanine level under the air conditioning pipe was freezing. Thankfully we were able to move.

Absolutely beautiful! Feast for all the senses, the food was absolutely divine, the atmosphere was chilled, beautiful restaurant, wait staff were so lovely. We will definitely be visiting again!

I am not sure if I was expecting too much. My wife booked this months ago and when we got there they had lost our booking. Put into a private room, which to be honest was quite nice. Waiter explained that the food would all come at the same time which turned out was not the case. We got some food and then waited for a while, the waiter came back to clear our plates until we told them we only had some of our dishes. We found the food to be pretty average, the puri's were pretty poor and in a city that is renowned for its curry restaurants, Mowgli will need to pick up their game. We still not be rushing back

Food was lovely but then served premade roti that I could probably buy off the shelf in a supermarket. All fresh food and then served that ?! Only disappointment but spoiled the whole meal for me .

My new favourite restaurant in Glasgow!! food is unbelievably good and service is great also!

Loved the restaurant and the staff were very friendly. Felt it was overpriced for what you got.

I’d read the good reviews and figured since the owner is a judge on Great British Menu it must be good! Was also excited to see such a good gluten free menu choice. What a disappointment. One dimensional flavours in the curries, overcooked fatty lamb chops, overcooked chicken wings with way too much sauce, soggy fries, gunpowder chicken wasn’t crispy! Anyone who is giving this top marks clearly hasn’t eaten in Dishoom. Not even in the same league. Won’t be rushing back to Mowgli but would eat there again, in an emergency.

Fabulous family meal. Really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Delicious food, brilliant service, original nice restaurant:)

Most of the food was decent enough, if a bit salty. Enjoyed the cheesey toast, but the mango chutney tasted like a jar of salt was dropped in it and served regardless. Keema was nice but over seasoned. Butter chicken was fantastic. Lamb chops, I really liked the charred flavour. The chicken and potato dish in the bread, I'm on the fence. Wasn't bad, but way over seasoned again. Rice was well cooked. Puri's we enjoyed. Service non existent. No one asked, nor seemed to care how anything was. Never once offered another drink. An hour and a half with a small can of beer and jug of water. My spend per head would have been an extra tenner, if asked. But still obliged to pay the 12.5% service charge 🤷♂️

Delicious, fresh food in a great venue.

Excellent food, the lamb in particular is excellent. Not your usual "chicken Tikka, lamb bhuna" type or place, which is good.

Amazing food and service.....loved the decor too...we ll be back.

You need to book if thinking about eating here, fantastic food.

I wanted to really like Mowgli, but it didn’t quite match up to expectations.
The restaurant itself is really well fitted out and the staff are friendly and efficient. There was an issue with the fire alarm when we were in (which kept going off) but the staff kept everything under control and it was eventually sorted.
In terms of the food I thought everything was a bit too sweet for my tastes. The likes of the yoghurt bombs whilst nice enough, weren’t quite as good as I’d hoped.
Overall I suspect I might have been spoiled by Dishoom, which is outstanding. Mowgli is decent, but it’s just not for me.

It was amazing food and great stuff I highly recommend it 👌🙂
