Reviews of Oyster Catcher

Really great experience. Warm & friendly welcome, plenty of seating options inside and outside. It’s in a really great spot.
Lunch was absolutely delicious too. Can’t wait to go back.
Don’t forget there’s options downstairs too if you want something more casual.
Plenty of parking, it’s dog friendly, and a short walk to the seafront too.
Y. S.
Would recommend booking a table as this restaurant is highly sought after - for good reason. The food was absolutely delicious, as was the wine. Great and friendly service. Beautiful views from where we were sitting. Dog friendly too if you have pets!
Will eat here again if back in the area.

Booked for my daughters birthday recently, thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely building by the sea(would benefit from improved outside lighting at night).
Service was friendly and helpful, food was delicious with good decor and atmosphere.
Would highly recommend.

Awesome place!! Spent a great few hours yday basking in the sun eating & drinking & making new friends. Indoor restaurant, Wills bar downstairs & Pats shack where we had amazing filthy fries & pizza. Atmosphere is great, building is amazing & well looked after, great large car park food & drink top notch!! Will be back!!

Lovely location, chose fish and chips, portions were huge, I enjoyed it but it lacked seasoning. Service was ok - two starters missed off the order and had to ask for cutlery with main courses but didn't ruin our meal.. cocktails and wines were nice! Oysters good too!

Two visits in one week in Nov/Dec. Mightily impressive establishment. My wife ‘super impressed’ with Sea Bass over prawn curry, my fish, chips and mushy peas less exciting but good quality fish. Very few customers when we visited so lacked ‘atmosphere’ … it’s a big place. Very efficient and helpful staff. Second visit, the bar after a walk through the dunes from Rhosneigr. Can imagine it ‘buzzing’ in the Summer months when the sun ☀️ shines.
M. B.
The booming music from the bar downstairs didn't leave a good initial impression, and felt definitely out of character for the look of the place. However you can't hear it at all from the restaurant upstairs, which is impressive!
There is a lift for accessibility to the restaurant, and it works fine. Staff are attentive, and friendly.
The food was delicious, although not much emphasis on the oysters given the restaurant name. Two for £8 wasn't horrific, yet presentation lacked a little, and having to use your standard table fork felt a bit...lacking. They can definitely improve the experience there.
All of our table enjoyed the food and drinks. Lovely take on eton mess as a dessert, which comes highly recommended.
J. B.
Great dining experience. Lovely staff. We were on holiday and had booked in advance from a friend's recommendation. Enjoyed so much that we returned 2 days later for a second sitting.

Excellent restaurant, great food, amazing staff and really good view and feel.
We are not vegan or veggie but my wife chose the cauliflower steak and lentil dahl dish. This was amazing and something we would choose again. I have eaten a lot of sticky toffee pudding in my life as it is my favourite dish, and this was the best one I have ever had.
Helpful and lovely server Lauryn served us.
Wish we lived closer to visit more often!

Beautiful location so close to the beach, the restaurant is located 1st floor on top of willys bar. Plenty of seating in, out!
Food was stunning and friendly fast service at 3pm after we went to the beach and could see it had filled up.
Raf station is close and jets and planes can be seen clearly flying by amazing.
Looks to be child and dog friendly.
Well worth a visit for dinks or food. Spent about £25 per person food is top notch although our triple cooked chips were undercooked all other food was stunning and hot, deserts were also just lovely.
Plenty of parking, space, clean toilets.
I imagine its a nice place later in the day with music, bar etc.

Fantastic place,
Fantastic food..
I gave it 4 stars as the hummus bread and the curry bread needs sorting out.. dry, stale, tastless, not nice in anyway..
Curry was the best nine Indian curry i have had..
I would definitely go back and would definitely recommend
H. C.
Very nice restaurant, the seafood is lovely although others on our table had pasta and said it was ‘okay’. I thought why not go for the seafoood dishes? Love the live music downstairs and the bar outside. I bet in the nice weather this place is fab! Nice atmosphere and attentive staff

Long been on my bucket list and this year within walking distance of our holiday let. Quirky yet brilliant venue with great use of reclaimed "stuff" to give the venue a particularly rustic vibe. Loos good, coffee good, food good (didn't have time to sample the restaurant though) and great access to the beach. Loved it.

We've been able to get table on terrace on lovely sunny day. Staff was nice but waiting was bit long probably due to being a busy day. Big portions of food and everything was cooked to high standard. Good parking facilities free of charge. Me and my daughter had fish and chips and that was lovely. My son had steak and he enjoyed it and my husband had salad. Salad could be bit bigger portion in my husbands opinion.
P. H. H.
Wonderful location in the sand dunes. Very busy but great atmosphere with live music. Long wait for pizzas from Pat's Shack but Saturday evening in glorious sunshine bound to happen.

After a long walk, the best place to go for some cold drinks and a very tasty menu. They are fast with orders, good atmosphere, good music! fully recommended!

Visited Monday night and as we had dogs we were in the snug area which was lovely and we had great views of the lake.
The food was excellent, we had a table for 4 and we had steak, risotto with chicken, and the duck shepherds pie, which were all excellent.
We all had a dessert cherry and chocolate cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding.
It was a lovely relaxing atmosphere, and would definitely recommend.
R. W.
Beautiful restaurant and views. Right on the sand dunes so you can go for a wander on the beach afterwards. For the price of the food which wasn't too bad but slightly on the higher side I feel the quality could have been a tiny bit better. But I would definitely go back.
L. J.
A must every time we come to Anglesey! Lovely staff, great atmosphere and the food is always tasty, hot and plentiful. My husband is really fussy about his steak, it was cooked to perfection! Another lovely evening at the Oyster Catcher.
S. B.
First time here, turned up after a day a newborough. Lovely beacon on a dark evening. Team very friendly and attentive. Food arrived quickly and was good quality. We were there with our dog, nice to have a place they are welcome with everybody else. Place was a but quiet, but down to time and out of season. The bar downstairs seemed fuller with a bit more going on. Will definately be back and hopefully in the day the see the views.
M. S.
We are travelling from London and wanted a taste of fresh seafood. Oyster Catcher did not disappoint: beautiful landscape, good value and great seafood! Unfortunately they have stopped serving lobsters 🦞 , however the catch of the day (monkfish) was very satisfying.
Y. B.
Our chef ( Chris) made us the best tiger prawns I've ever had and my risotto was delicious , my husband had the lamb curry , all served by the lovely server Ania who was extremley polite and very helpful .
S. S.
Visited on a wet day but no problem taking the dog in, who sat in the corner quite happy waiting for a chip. Very helpful and friendly staff and was just right after a wet walk on the beach. Lovely place, definitely recommended if you're in the area.
J. R.
An amazing restaurant and bar on the sand dunes near Rhosneigr. Smart and trendy ambience, great menu and stunning views. They major in seafood but also have other choices. The steamed mussels were heavenly.
B. M.
Absolutely gorgeous environment, lovely staff and great service. Food was very well presented and tasted good but not mind blowing... particularly given it's more at the expensive end of the scale
A. S.
They fitted my 2 kids and I in before the evening rush. Great food and beautifully designed restaurant. Reasonably priced too. Service was a bit slow but they were rammed. Definately worth a visit.
S. P.
Lovely restaurant staff were welcoming and friendly. Great meal all four of us enjoyed the food.
C. D.
Lovely place, great location, food fab, service could have been a bit sharper if I’m being picky. Will definitely go back!!
m. b.
Oystercatcher chums, I take my hat off to you... splendid lunch, flawless service and congratulations on your decor/location.
I just had a small plate, spiced squid(excellent btw...) but Mrs B reckons her Fish Pie was probably the best she's ever eaten... Bravo...
s. l.
Great place to chill and relax or for a celebration. Fantastic service with Great food highly recommended
k. m.
What a great place. Something for everyone here and all quality. We started off in Wills Bar downstairs to take shelter from some fierce weather when out with our dogs and we were welcomed. We found out that the upstairs restaurant has a dog friendly area so we stayed for lunch. We had a selection of the Small Plates (Tapas) and all were excellent. We will return to try the main menu for sure.
s. v.
Fantastic place. Went there for a dinner with family. Busy, hence online reservation highly recommended. Plenty of parking . Entrance is towards the left and can be a bit confusing. Bar on ground floor and restaurant on first floor. Tasty food. Potion size fits one person only. The staff is friendly and seemed to know about the dishes. Reasonably priced. Cost us just above 100 quids for a four course dinner for the four of us. Would like to go there during day time to enjoy the views which are told to be amazing.
D. A.
Excellent service, very good food, with stunning views. One of the best meals out we have had in a very long time. Every dish was quality ingredients, cooked very well and full of flavour/s. Prices are not the cheapest, but are well worth it for a both very enjoyable and memorable occasion.
S. E.
Lovely location and "good vibes only" - good atmosphere, despite being fairly quiet on a Sunday evening. Nice staff, not exceptional service, but nothing to complain about either! Really quick service, delicious food and great drinks (except the coffee! Why is it that lovely restaurants can't do amazing coffee?).
T. R.
Food was lovely, staff friendly, service was quick, dog friendly, great location
T. C. w. E. h.
Amazing tasty food , service wasn’t the best asked for sauce 3 times ( she kept forgetting)
But the food made up for it ;) this was my sons kids fish & chips and mine was the veggie burger
H. K.
Great place with amazing fresh food staff are amazing the views are incredible and totally disabled friendly
j. w.
Dog friendly restaurant but limited places for dogs so probably best booking a table. Excellent food. Great beer garden.
K. H.
Food was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit and would definitely come back

Thursday 8th July - late lunch:
We enjoyed a delicious two course meal outside on the balcony. Lovely location, great staff and good wine too.
My only negative was how little lobster meat there was on the small "half" lobster (surf & turf) No large claw either - must have been an amputee!
Still it was really good and well worth it!
R. H.
In a good location by the sand dunes. Impressive building with easy access to upstairs restaurant. Sat outside on the terrace, for lunch, on a nice sunny day. Unfortunately it was like a dog compound, with barking every time someone walked past their tables. Menu looked interesting, but fairly different from the website menu, which in fairness is why we came for lunch.. No light snacks and the childrens menu unimpressive. I ordered the starter, salt and pepper squid (aka 4 squid rings in batter). Partner ordered the smoked salmon starter (aka what looked like a small amount of tinned salmon on a potato salad). Other diners were on the main dishes, which I must admit looked good and large. Pity they didn't cater for light lunches, we left hungry.
C. S.
Let's be honest in terms of location it doesn't get better. Just off the beach this is a great spot to eat at.
Service was fantastic
Only 4 stars as feel the food (I had burger and chips, could be slightly better quality for the money. Very edible, tasty but feel for the price could have been a little bit better.)
I. H.
This is the most amazing restaurant. Hake was the catch of the day served with shellfish, spinach and a creamy sauce. I have to admit it was one of, if not the best meal I've eaten. 110% would recommend, and excellent value for money. Great selection of dishes as well.
a. E.
Lovely bar great outside seating area. had
Drinks and pizza here just of beach fantastic lovely balcony bar and downstairs bars 🌞
S. S.
Easy to book as we arrived, off to the beach for a paddle, back for lunch. Large, airy restaurant inside also an outside upper terrace. Delicious lunch of Oysters followed by Calamari. Highly recommend. A 'free' air show from the jets as we left.
G. H.
Very impressed with the place. Food was good as well. Service gradually got worse as the evening went on. It looks like some of the younger members of the team could do with a bit of training in service and in particular delivering desserts to the table. At the end, even though there were plenty of others in the restaurant, the staff all seemed to want us out of the place.
M. W.
Really lovely atmosphere, great service and delicious food. Some nice views of the sunset from the beach, which is very close by
R. C.
Served by a very friendly and helpful young lady for whom nothing was too much trouble. Didn't catch her name but she was dark haired and bespectacled. Food was brilliant and well cooked. The cheese board was the biggest I've ever seen.
D. L.
Excellent location, with stunning views; matched by the delicious food and efficient service
C. D.
Great selection of delicious food and drink happily waited upon by an ever smiling Debbie. We sat outside on an elevated deck overlooking the sand dunes on the most perfect sunny day which made the experience even better. Oh, and the oysters were sublime.
D. M.
By far the best restaurant we visited during our week on Anglesey 😀. Sat outside on the decked balcony. Service was quick, food was excellent, couldn't fault it. Will definitely find the time to visit again if we're in the area. Dogs welcome in the out door areas too, plenty of seating too. Thanks ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
C. E. (. t.
First experience dining here and got to say I cannot fault the service and the food was delicious. Very welcoming on arrival and friendly service, drinks are first class too. Whilst not the cheapest restaurant I've been to, you certainly get what you pay for and will definitely be back to taste other dishes off the menu.
D. F.
The view was really good and the restaurant was nice on the inside. The seafood linguine was nice and had a good portion of seafood in it. The curry however was the most boring curry I’ve ever eaten and I asked to put more chilli in it when I ordered but was told to add Tabasco if I wanted it spicier which would be an unusual combination.
S. B.
Brilliant atmosphere, friendly, polite and cheerful team. We've had fish and ships that was very good and freshly made. Coffee is very nice. Dogs are welcome. The car park is clean and tidy and vast.

Hay guys, it's been a **** old time for us all, but Great Britain will soldier through!
Hope everyone is well! I Hit up the oyster catcher on the 15/05/21... I checked the place out for a drink on the Friday afternoon! and the staff were extremely attentive, and they were busy! I already had a table booked for the Saturday ;)... These guys know what they are doing and well... There's no excuse now guys... You can eat inside now! It's a privilege. We had oysters as a preorder, cooked 3 ways by the chef ( James)... Monk fish tail, and steak... Perfectly cooked and presented .... On all accounts..... We also tried the Mellon starter, a must on a sunny day...!! ( mine wasn't sunny)!
I will also say that it's the first time in 33 years iv been to Wales, the first time to anglesey.... Its touched my heart... X

Had a good meal here smoked mackerel starter sea bass main finished chocolate pot dessert😋

We called last minute to make a booking for 5 people & a dog in the restaurant. With limited dog friendly space in the restaurant, and horrible weather outside Juliet at the restaurant was incredibly helpful in helping to make our booking possible, especially as it was the beginning of a bank holiday weekend.
The restaurant itself is really lovely with a good vibe and a great selection of seafood and other dishes. We ordered a number of oysters (fresh and delicious but none of us loved The seaweed hot sauce), calamari (ok - a bit too battery), and crab on toast (the white sauce once was nice and fresh but the red sauce one overpowered the crab) for starters. All came out super quick. For mains most of our party had the surf and turf (lobster and steak). The lobster was cooked perfectly and was in a delicious garlic butter sauce. The steak itself was a bit sad - was cooked as per order but just not great quality. Others ordered the mussels and enjoyed well
Service was quick and super friendly - nothing was too much effort. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend!
J. H.
Food was good just a bit over priced for the standard menu. Kids menu on the other hand is great value. Ordered burger on standard menu it was a double burger £18, ordered a child's burger basically the same just a single instead of a double £6. Same amount of chips on both. So order from the kids menu and save yourself some money.

We visited saturday 3rd july and we loved it.the set up is great, lots of tables outside where you can eat and drink the pizzas looked good.we ate inside and the food and service was great wernt rushed at all.
Starters chorizo, crab on toast and pate all nice big portions.mains lobster & steak with fries lots of garlic butter and goan chicken curry,so tastly, lovely rice and flatbread too.
Made us laugh when all these fancy cars turned up.....they seemed to think the restaurant belonged to them...maybe it did love people watchin so good entertainment ha ha ha 😜😜

We (2 adults and 2 kids) dined with our friends (2 adults, 1 kid) on a saturday early evening. The restaurant was very busy and we booked about a month in advance for a 4.30pm sitting. The atmosphere was buzzing, the service exceptional given how busy it was. The meal was delicious, starters all went down well, the mains were excellent and dont get me started on the desert!
The bill was just short of £250 for all of us, the three kids mains were £6 each, but i would pay that again and say the food and experience was worth every penny.
I highly recommend the Oyster catcher, but definitely book ahead to avoid disappointment.
E. T.
Amazing location and views but seriously let down by mediocre and overpriced food. It's right next to the beach and has a big carpark. There are nice outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the views. We had an evening meal here on the upstairs deck. The service was fine but the food was pretty awful. Crispy squid to start which was rubbery and not so crispy. I had the seafood linguine which was seriously disappointing, tiny and rubbery shellfish, very oily and very expensive for what it was. I would recommend coming here for drinks but skip the food.

This is our go to place for tea after we visit cable bay for a beach day. After a long day there swimming, kayaking nothing better than ending the day there with a meal and couple of drinks to relax. Nice outdoor area and great decor inside , staff always friendly and helpful and I have never had a meal I could complain about each time I've been . 👍👍
N. S.
Went for lunch today for our anniversary. What can I say, great surroundings, excellent service and food to die for. Starters of mackerel and the salmon, mains crab salad and the enormous Oyster Catcher burger, creme brulee and lemon posset for dessert. Absolutely fantastic and made our day. Well worth the trip, thoroughly recommend this place, definitely going back. 👍😄
M. B.
Location and views from the restaurant are both fantastic. Food was excellent, as was the service. We eat in the restaurant but the snack bar downstairs also looked a good option after a day on the beach.
j. w.
Lovely location and first class dining experience. Warm and friendly welcome from all staff. Excellent service from our waitress Seren Williams who was very polite and helpful. She was very knowledgable about the menu and advised us of the options available. Courses were delivered promptly and portions were generous, particularly the haddock and chips. Every course was very tasty. The affogato dessert was amazing. We will definitely be back.
J. P.
Fantastic. Service and atmosphere were excellent. Dog friendly restaurant and bar.
Food also great, however the cheesecake was a bit too gelatine-y.
H. T.
Lovely place to visit. Friendly staff. Prices a little on the high side relative to actual food quality, but still an excellent location with fantastic views & good atmosphere.
N. F.
Very nicely presented restaurant. Nice menu with a good selection of meal choices. Staff were very nice and helpful. Would recommend to you
G. W.
Disappointed !
Reduced menu which was expected, but they had changed it. Before booking I checked the menu on line, when we arrived we were told that they had been so busy that they had sold out of steak, a lot of the seafood/fish dishes, and the new menu had only just been approved. With the new reduced menu there was not alot of choice, so we did not really enjoy our evening. What we did order, was nicely cooked and there were clean plates at the end of the meal. Before I posted this review I checked to see if the menu had been changed online, it had not, misleading the customers.
I would like to add they had a one way system in the restaurant, and plenty of hand sanitizer to use, so felt safe.
L. R.
Came here for lunch on Sunday and it was brilliant. The staff are very attentive and friendly, the kitchen is ultra professional and the food was fantastic. We had mussels and a steak, both fab.
R. E.
Plenty of space with the raised terrace overlooking the sand dunes! The bisque was soo tasty, it came slightly cool but with no fuss it was warmed up, served with fresh bread. The triple cooked handcut chips were to tasty and piping hot! The Eton Mess was so tasty with plenty of fresh summer fruits. The espresso coffee was very smooth. The service was efficient and friendly! We will definitely return next time we're in Angelsey!
G. P.
Disappointing in that ordered four Ring of Fire pizzas and only one had any Pepperoni on it and that was the one we asked for without chillies. Other three were basically a spiced up Margherita. Staff attentive. Clean facilities.
R. B.
Lovely food and atmosphere, and very dog friendly.
R. S.
Fantastic service, the staff there couldn't do enough for us. Great tasting, fresh food, with great views. Would highly recommend- a must if visiting Anglesey!
G. K.
A beautiful restaurant in and amazing setting. Stunning views! The food was of A* quality. We loved the experience and the friendliness of the staff. We will return again as soon as we can, even if from where we live you are 2.5 hours away. Brilliant! Highly recommended.
D. N.
We decided to have lunch today and ordered fish for myself and curry for my husband. The starters were fine but the curry (after a long wait) was luke warm. We politely asked a waitress to have it heated up and she replied saying that there wasn't a microwave and went away to spk to the chef. She didn't return! I had half eaten my meal, which was very nice when the restaurant manager came and asked if something was wrong with the curry. By then it was too late to re order so we gave up. The staff seemed very dissintereested. All in all it spoilt the lunch. A disappointing meal which cost around £50 Dee from Shrewsbury.
M. W.
Bit confusing as you had to order food at a different area to the bar. I believe it is to keep the flow going for those who just want drinks. Food was great though and lovely views as well
D. C.
Great dog friendly beach bar
B. C.
On our trip around Anglesey, we came across a sign 'Oyster Catcher' - and couldn't resist dropping in... Of course, the place lives up to its name, and there are oysters on the menu, as well as seafood bisque, salmon and whatever else exotic you can imagine, complete with an exquisite wine list! I hadn't had oysters since my honeymoon, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself - as a matter of fact, I've already decided to celebrate my 50th birthday there next year!
R. J.
Lovely for drinks, food looked excellent however didn’t see much vegetarian options. Would definitely revisit.
S. G.
I suspect on a different day, in their defence, this review would have been a four star. Unfortunately we went on a gloriously sunny day and despite it being reasonably quiet when we ate there, the staff seemed to be suffering from the heat and looked shattered. The service suffered as a result and was very slow. For example, we asked for water for the table when we sat down, it arrived after our main courses which themselves took an unusually long time to arrive. We also asked for tomato sauce three times and then gave up.
We sat down outside initially but after 15 minutes without being acknowledged we decided to move inside to see if we could be served. The restaurant is very dog friendly, and as a dog owner myself, I applaud this, but the outside seating area we initially sat in had had some very hairy occupants before us and was covered in dog hair, even the condiment caddy was full of it.
Inside provide a cooler retreat with lovely modern but relaxed decor.
The food was very good, although I struggle to understand pricing a humongous steak pudding and a vegetable curry at the same price of £16.95 (I still ordered the curry despite this. The curry itself was delicious, although the pitta bread was inedibly tough).
The toilets were in a state but again, in their defence, think they were suffering from the sheer volume of people using them and I suspect a lot of use from non-customers due to their location.
I would definitely go back, but I’ll select my timing more carefully as I suspect that on their day, this place would be fabulous and that we were just unlucky.
Worth booking in advance if you’re visiting in peak tourist season and/or on a lovely day.
C. E.
Lovely place, great food and service to accommodate us at short notice.
It would have been nice to be able to charge the EV in the car park.
S. L.
I really wanted to love this place however it was unfortunately quite disappointing. The service was very slow and quite poor at times - we had our drinks order brought wrong and then were charged for this mistake on the bill, we had to ask for this removed. The pepper mill broke over one of the starters ruining it and all we got was “yeah it does that”. We were told there was no ice for the water but then saw ice coming from the bar in numerous drinks? Additionally we had to ask a few times for cutlery for our mains after they’d been served.
The food was okay but not worth the price paid. The chips were on par with Wetherspoons and the risotto was sadly quite bland for £15.50. I feel like they really trade on their location and sacrifice the quality.
S.
Nice interior and location. Limited range of beers but well served . Have eaten here before and the food was great but decided against it on this visit due to the large amount of dogs inside .
Another visit and I’m glad report that they have replaced the trendy looking yet extremely wobbly bar stools. I’m still leaving it at four stars due to the amount of tables that needed clearing of dirty glasses and plates especially outside area.
S. S.
We met up with friends who we’re visiting Rhosneigr from Manchester and they brought us to this beautiful looking restaurant as a treat. The gentleman who I assume was the manager due to him wearing a suit rather than uniform, was very attentive and polite on our arrival.
The waitresses that were taking turns attending to us didn’t have the same high level of observation or customer service. They were slow to ask for drinks, meals etc. Failed to ask if we needed further drinks and failed to clear the table of 12 glasses and one plate after our meal.
The food was average and the veggie option was nothing special, I had the rump steak which I asked for rare/medium but it came medium/well. It was a lovely meal but not how I wanted it.
The waitress that was covering the most went at 9pm and another waitress took over.... shortly after 9.15pm we asked her for a dessert menu and after 15 minutes of waiting for the menu we watched her walk through the carpark and get in a car!
After wondering what to do, we decided we still wanted desserts and told a third waitress of the situation. She took our dessert order and we waited a further 20 minutes and nothing came from the kitchen! We were the only table in there and felt like it was a tactic to empty the restaurant and close early.
The manager was very apologetic and resolved the situation in a manner that we were all happy with. But we left without having a dessert.
v. h.
Very popular place. Various areas to eat with different menus. Dog friendly. Near beach. Advise booking if with dog and want to eat inside as can be very busy.
M. O.
Really good bar for a drink after an invigorating 5 mile beach walk from Rhosneigr to Porth Trecastell. Very well done and a great place for a drink on Christmas Eve, with a really good atmosphere.

Oh. My. God. THE PIE.
So we headed to the Oystercatcher after a sunny day at Newborough beach. It was a short drive to Rhosneigr and the Oystercatcher was signposted along the way, I'd found it based on the good reviews as we were looking for some decent food!
The building has it's own car park, and has a separate restaurant and bar/café. It was about 5pm so we headed to the latter, there was a friendly man behind the bar with a written menu- they'd had some problems with the gas so some things weren't available.
They had a good selection still, both meat and for veggies. We chose the Steak and Ale suet pudding which was divine. Best pie ever. Seriously.
After almost slipping into food comas we decided to share a sticky toffee pudding, also very good.
Can also recommend the Oystercatcher beer, it was light and very drinkable!
Not only can't wait to go back, but would happily recommend to anyone in Anglesey! 10/10
G. K.
Excellent lunch on the terrace in the sun
L. W.
A lovely coastal pub and restaurant with plenty of room and excellent food and a great choice of lagers and ales. A fantastic view too.
S. B.
Fab food. Fab environment. 100% recommend. Very clean. Busy but well spaced out. One way system works well. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again
J. W.
I daresay this is the best restaurant I've ever been to.
Firstly, the location: the beautiful modern glass and steel building is situated on the sand dunes by the seaside, and fits in perfectly, without ruining the scene of the seaside town.
Next, the little beach huts in the outdoor terrace have heaters and lamps in them! So you can be sheltering from the wind and staying warm at the same time!
And, the food. Amazing. Simply sincerely amazing. And very sensible prices too! My burger was huge and costs no more than it would've in a country pub. The gammon steak looked amazing, and we really enjoyed the scampi too. Plus, dessert. Wow, my Eton mess, whilst spelt 'eaton' mess on their menu which sparked a little debate in the family, was phenomenal, freshly made full of wonderful fresh strawberries.
The bar downatairs also has a BBQ from which you may buy for a sensible price burgers, hot dogs and chicken burgers. Really nice little seating area too!
And to top it all off, all of their outside seating areas are dog friendly and the waiting staff carry dog biscuits too!

The Oyster Catcher is a lovely place to eat.
It is situated in a beautiful location with sand dunes and grasses all around.
The food served here is of a very high standard and superb quality.
Myself and my partner called in for a meal and loved it.
The staff here are extremely friendly and welcoming.
A special mention must be given to Paige.
She was very attentive and nothing was too difficult for her.
Even when we made an unusual request regarding the kitchen having a left over Oyster shell we could have, off she went to check for us.
Thanks again.
A must visit if you want good quality, super fresh local food.

Such a great venue. So nice to sit in the garden catching rays on the deck chairs with food from the caravan, but also lovely to have food from the restaurant on the balcony. One of my favourite places to visit. Great staff, lovely atmosphere and dog friendly.
L. S.
Stopped off for breakfast, what a beautiful place. Coffee and breakfast barm was very nice, staff were friendly and the whole place and surroundings are great.
N. M.
Lovely place. Great views. Tasty food. Friendly staff. Good accessibility and lots of room between tables.
D. B.
First visit on a busy Sunday for lunch.
Very positive experience with excellent friendly service from an obviously well motivated team. The food was excellent with swift and efficient service.
Location was beautiful and an obvious Mecca for dog lovers who made good use of the bar area below the restaurant.
Minor feedback is to say that for carnivores the menu is a little restrictive. Pescatarians will find a wide choice to enjoy.
I look forward to returning soon.
M. I.
It was just perfect. Tasty food and good variety of choices for all palates.
N. B.
From the moment we stepped in everything was perfect. Our server Anna was delightful. The atmosphere, staff and food was outstanding. Food cooked and presented brilliantly. We'll be back!
Thanks very much all.
l. s.
Wow, this place is in a beautiful setting and very well presented inside.
We had a dog and had booked the snug. You are usually shoved in a dark corner but it was as lovely little area. Food was very good, our steak did come out a little underdone but it was soon remedied. Also the burgers were delicious. Staff were very friendly. Would love to go back.
I. S.
Absolutely delicious food in an amazing environment - with great views! We saw lots of RAF jets flying around too, which was very impressive.
However, it’s very disappointing they do not accept American Express.
T. L.
Stopped by for lunch yesterday. Very quick service. Oysters were very good, rest of the food nice. A little overpriced but in line with the style of venue. Could do with more cover on the upstairs decking whether that be from sun or rain!
P. B.
Absolutely lovely for my graduation meal!! 🎓 been before and knew it was the place to have our meal! Stunning views of the Snowdon range in the restaurant and lovely dunes from the outdoor seating. Seafood and steak all good choices, locally sourced food delivered in an exceptional setting! Also tried their house champagne 🍾 whoop!
Y. E.
Brilliant location. Very friendly with great staff, excellent beer and food and a lovely array of outdoor spaces to sit in. Can we a bit confusing when you approach the building as not very clear where you should go . Possibly better signing or a welcome host would help. But a lovely place.
D. R.
Had an excellent lunch. Fish and chips were absolutely delicious. Great service from friendly staff and a nice outlook from the restaurant verandah. 100% recommended.
o.
Fantastic location. Downstairs has a bar, which was busy with locals, hikers and dog walkers. We headed upstairs to the restaurant where we had a great meal and were looked after by the lovely staff. Has a good selection on the menu, including a child's menu and specials board. Would recommend.
R. T.
We had lunch here last year and had to return, this time we ordered food from Pat's Shack to eat outside , it's situated on the ground floor. Food was amazing. Staff great 👍👍
Returned later in the week for fish & chips, again service and food very good.
P. P.
Had two great meals over two days, staff were very attentive, had to sit outside as we had the dog with us but looked nice inside so we'll try again next time, did not want to leave the dog in the car in the heat. Only downside was the card machine went on the blink so had to go to get cash out from Rhosneiger. Cracking beach 5 mins walk too !!
H. C.
It is worth to ask for a place and to wait because the food is really good and the Restaurants is most probably one of the best in town 👍
J. B.
Lovely location, only had drinks so can't comment on food, lovely large garden and tastefully decorated in bar area.
Very dog friendly, which is always a good sign to me
Will definitely make plans to come back and try the food the menu looked delicious
D. C.
Venue ilis beautiful, we called for drinks and wanted food. We asked the staff if we need to book restaurant but they couldn't tell us as it had only just opened. Bit disappointing as looked fab, we found somewhere else to eat.
Would definitely return when in the area and hopefully get to see the restaurant this time
j. l.
After coming over a year ago and being massively disappointed we thought we would give it another go.
Absolutely beautiful food and selection of specials on, very attentive staff who were really on the ball.
Will be back.
j. c.
Great place great food and the beach 5 min walk.
D. G.
First really dogy friendly 10 out of 10. Tasty food but for the price should have included veg selection. Views are great .All in all would recommend.
A. C.
Love this place. Great food.. Loved the lobster. The outside dining area has great views. Really pleasant helpful staff.Dog friendly returning this year
T. H.
The lad from Canada made some of the best food we’ve ever tasted. He was extremely chatty and our time at Oyster catcher was brilliant thanks to him. Highly recommend
N. T.
Great place to park for the beach and have a great coffee. Took the opportunity to have a lunch meal with the kids and they thoroughly enjoyed the Nachos!
Well recommend.
L. F.
Beautiful place, lovely surroundings, wonderful food and excellent service. A great meal to end our holiday
R. F.
Nice location and decor, but a bit of a contrast to The White Eagle, where we ate the previous evening. The waitress didn't pay attention when my daughter clearly asked for the vegan curry, so they had to replace it. I had the Lamb Bhuna, which was quite frankly, awful. It was basically a white sauce with fatty bits of mutton..nothing else. Poor tbh. Overall I was disappointed.
S. M.
The Oyster Catcher used to be my go-to place when visiting Rhosneigr. Whilst still good, it was the excellent experience I'm used to. Perhaps it's the soaring cost of ingredients, etc, but the portions felt a little meagre.
O. W.
Great for both a warm drink on a cold rainy day OR a cold drink on a blinder! Great location, lots of space, inside and out, with booths inside and huts outside. Food Great too.
a. p.
This is a gem in the dunes! .. my wife had the 'whale' & chips! .. I had the beefiest burger! .. quality food in a modern restaurant .. service was great too ... May not be the cheapest .. but we don't mind paying more for good food, service and atmosphere ..
J. G.
A lovely dining experience where you can choose yo eat snacks.. Wills shack...coffee and cake ..or eat in the restaurant. All excellent.
M. L.
Apart from being a tad on the expensive side (17 quid for fish and chips)and terrible signage to get to the main restauant its a very trendy groovy place with lots of friendly staff. I will return but maybe for the outdoor food which looks nice.
S. I.
We were a party of 26 family members and had a great time. Food good, service quick and lovely atmosphere
Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
M. R.
Absolutely brilliant experience! Wonderful, eco friendly building with great atmosphere and acoustics. Excellent food and great service too.
W. S.
Great location close to the beach ,lots of free parking
Great menu lots of choice to suit all tastes
There was a live band playing on our visit which was fab
Plenty of tables outside and room for the kids to play
Friendly staff
N. H.
Sri Lanka sea bass, ooooo ruined me for life.
This place kicks. Great food, wonderful atmosphere and good local ales. You have a choice with the classier Oystercatcher restaurant upstairs, or Wills down, where you'll find excellent pizza, chips and the usual criminals of the faster food world.
Whatever your appetite, budget or young family in tow, they've got it covered.
J. M.
A busy place but worth booking in advance. The food is good quality and the service is ok. You won’t get a dining experience but it’s a decent place to eat in the area and caters for all. Downstairs the bar is dog friendly, the Pizzas are good and you can sit outside if you are dog walking. Upstairs is a restaurant and seating area. The car park is free and a good place to park and go for a walk over the dunes to the beach. It’s a real sun trap, very family and dog friendly. Avoid the starters, they are very over priced for what you get, but the main courses are massive, arguably excessive. Friendly staff make this place work, without them it’s a bit of a food factory.
w. A.
Fantastic experience as always never fails to impress, if anything gets better and can be seen being prepared food, families are made to feel very welcome, as is your favourite furry kid.
D. T.
Great stop off for a quick beer. We are returning soon to try the food. Bar staff wete exvellent, and good choice of drinks
S. M.
Away in Rhosneigr first visit here the establishment was very nice on entry fantastic staff and service and lovely food. A lovely ambiance to relax and dine in.
T. W.
Lovely food, gluten free beer and top rate service in a beautiful location. Fantastic, bendigedig.
J. V.
Found on google when looking for a dog-friendly place for lunch. What a brilliant location! We ate in the downstairs bit which has a basic menu of paninis, soup, loaded fries. Upstairs has a restaurant with a balcony. The bistro was pretty full with lots of dog walkers. We had a lovely Brie and balsamic panini with loaded fries. Food was good but service (even at the bar for a drink) was very slow! We were warned it would be half an hour...it was well over three quarters of an hour so bear this in mind if you’re in a hurry! They seemed very short of staff all round! Worth the visit though!
M. P.
Had a lovely meal, pre drinks down in wills bar. Great atmosphere great food
S. D.
Was Very busy and let standards slip - not a patch on our visit a few weeks earlier…perhaps advice to the oyster catcher accept lesser numbers to maintain standards! Its not good providing plastic glasses with £30 bottle of wine, or restricted menu and poor quality presentation/food and poor attention to detail! - Please, for your reputations sake, Don’t over book and under resource!
L. L. C. A.
Great food lovely view still a bit slow but worth the wait. the food was on the hot plate waiting 6min b4 served to the table.Watching the RAF doing take off and landings were a bonus. Great pint
S. B.
Great spot in lovely location. Food was delicious, staff helpful and friendly. Would recommend
L. C.
Good service, pleasant surroundings & good food! Been twice now for lunches, & not disappointed.
K. W.
Lovely atmosphere, food was amazing and great service.
A.
Good for pizza or dirty fries and great beer downstairs. And upstairs is more fine dining.
s. w.
Amazing food and great quality. Good portion size with friendly staff. Really nice restaurant.
L. G.
Not a cheap establishment, but giving very good value for money. The menu was quite comprehensive with something for everyone in our party of five (plus a dog). Three of us had the beef bourginon, which was superb. Portion size was good and the meal cooked to perfection. Service was excellent, with the staff attentive to all our needs throughout the meal. We can recommend the white zinfandel rose wine. There is a lift to the first floor for disabled customers. The views through the windows are stunning and we can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. We will visit again.
G. P.
Great service awesome venue, excellent food made to exacting standards. The staff are so helpful and polite. They even say please and thank you to each other no matter how busy and stressful the service has become. Wonderful to see a diverse team working like a well oiled machine (much respect to the front of house manager!) My parents 50th wedding anniversary was made just perfect by our visit. I am so glad we listened to the recommendation of their KP and took a trip out to Rhosneigr.
J. S.
Superb location, right on the beach, unfortunately without sea view, still brilliant! Friendly staff and good food. Food wasn't amazing - normal pub style food.
Food 3/5
Staff 4/5
Location 5/5
J. S.
Lovely food, friendly staff, reasonably priced and dog friendly. Duck shepherd's pie was unreal. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. They are allowed our dog in the restaurant. Great, forward thinking restaurant. More places in the area should get on board with the dog friendly approach. Well done guys. We will be back again. A must visit.
C. J.
Nice layout with lovely views through the large paned windows, lovely atmosphere to chill out whilst dining on lovely food and drink.
I. W.
Lovely food not great service. Maybe understaffed but no one came to ask how our food was, we ordered a bottle of wine to come with our mains, it didn’t show up so we had to cancel it as we had already then eaten and didn’t want it. No apologies about that. Then we had to ask for the dessert menu. It all felt rather hard work! I’d say the service element needs working on.
L. M.
Visited twice on a recent long weekend in Anglesey. Can’t praise highly enough. Food really top notch with good portions too. Very clean facilities. Great lager and selection of wine. Best of all though are the staff. Absolutely couldn’t be bettered. Thanks. Oh, the location is pretty amazing too!
P. H.
Expensive food. £11 for a pizza. £10 for 2 pints. Very disappointed, as a few years ago they had an extensive menu which seemed better value for money. Although it's a lovely location think we would look elsewhere for more variation than pizza and fries and better value for money
P.
Really good food and great service. We went because 1of our party was vegetarian and they offered more choice than others locally. Everyone commented how nice their individual food was.
We decided the same night to return the next day and eat there again. Another nice surprise was the bill, I've paid more for worse food and the service was spot on .

We were looking for a place to eat, the car park was full and our hopes of finding a table without a booking were slim. We tried anyway and we were greeted with friendly polite staff that accommodated us. Not suggesting this will always be the case, but thank you.
Also a great spot, good food reasonably priced. Whoever's brainchild this was, I take my hat off to you.
M. W.
Fantastic location dog friendly very welcoming staff excellent service food fantastic (Sunday lunch) great value
J. R.
Well we had a great meal tonight. It was unhurried and the service was wonderful. We were served by Katie. Large groups are welcome and I would expect booking would be a must in high season as we were seven plus a dog. My recommendation would be the duck shepherd's pie. Shouldn't work but it's exquisite.
This really is fine dining at a reasonable cost in a beautiful environment.
J. J.
Fantastic food, great playlist, stunning views , unfortunately staff although friendly weren’t attentive, no one offered dessert menu or coffee. Several people went to the little shack asking for a variety of things, will go again, this hopefully will be seen as constructive criticism
M. H.
Lovely views. Warm sunshine in mid September so a pint and pate really welcome and pleasant. Good service too.
J. E.
Absolutely beautiful place, such a great set up. Dog friendly and in a brilliant location. The service was phenomenal and so quick, our food came in about 5 mins. The food was really great quality, so fresh and tasty
M. C.
Amazing food and fantastic attentive service. We stopped in for an opportunistic Sunday lunch and weren’t disappointed. Great to see what they’ve done with the place since renovation. Would definitely go back again!
J. H.
What a smashing place to eat, excellent all round, we've eaten there 2 x, catch of the day , amazing. Placed behind the sand dunes just the place to go into for coffee, lunch or dinner. 5 star. Well done to all.made our weeks holiday
A. A.
10 of us went there to celebrate Father's Day. Delicious food, very helpful and pleasant staff and a great view of Anglesey, no matter where you are sitting. Definitely recommend a visit.
C. W.
OMG whale and triple cooked chips anyone? Lovely service and gorgeous atmosphere and venue. Only thing I would change... them metal chairs look good but are not comfortable. Best batter ever tasted. Thanks
D. C.
Good place. Great location. Beer is sensibly priced. Food is ok. Service could do with brushing up a little.
I. H.
Great location, fantastic tasty food served by friendly staff. Good parking and easy to book.
J. H.
2 coffess three croissants £18 was a bit steep but gorgeous setting and very nice interior.
S. L.
We went on a locals recommendation and had hummus ,crab on toast & the surf and turf ,Presentation and service was great, lovely place with great surroundings ,shame the surf and turf was cold
M. S.
Great food, really welcome staff and excellent service. Great location with lovely views. Heartily recommend and would definitely come again
T. S.
Really lovely place, friendly service. Fresh tasting food, a little underseasoned for my taste but really good, I'll be back!
c. g.
Went to wills bar underneath. Atmosphere was good staff were nice locationwas great but the drinks were a little bit pricey.
S. C.
Best to book. Not cheap. Get a table by the windows great views. Clean. Great service excellent staff.
D. D.
Beautiful food had catch of the day and hubby had burger , he said probably best burger he has ever had ... staff attentive and polite. Thank you
S. C.
Beautiful place to stop and have some food and a drink. Service was a little slow and the beer selection could do with being a bit more extensive. We had a pizza which was very nice and the other meals coming out looked lovely. Would definitely return when we are next in the area.
M. H.
Excellent meal last night at the Oyster Catcher, well worth a visit
S. M.
Good vegetarian menu, dog friendly, excellent food, great location and friendly but not obsequious staff. Will visit again next time we're in Anglesey
J. C.
Great atmosphere, friendly team and Pats Snacks!
M. B.
It was quiet when we went, but it took over an hour to get our food and one dish was cold, they offered free puds for the lateness then the cold dish was free, was then charged for the puds, am not the kind of person to argue it, on this occasion, (I don't like to leave negative reviews)... but wasn't worth the hype for me.
L. 2.
Booked here for Sunday lunch 4 adults and a dog. We have visited a few times previously and again we were not disappointed. The staff are excellent and nothing too much trouble. The food was also very good. Yes I would definitely recommend.
H. H.
Lovely food, great for the dogs, been here before and will keep coming back.
A. S.
Fantastic! We went for dinner this weekend. The food was great but the service was absolutely amazing. It felt like I was back home in America. Keep up the great work. It made us actually want to leave a tip, the service was so good. No empty glasses sat on the table long, they were very efficient to take drink/food orders. The food came out quickly and was presented very nicely. We will definitely be back. Thank you for caring about your customers and work place, it shows.
D. C.
This restaurant is really good food had a burger and fries for £ 15 which till I’d eaten thought was expensive it was a bargain really really good food worth every penny great waitress service and fantastic views great parking that’s why the north wales xkcc will be back soon
D. D.
Great views and very dog friendly. Food is good but not oil of this world.
r. h.
Amazing food, amazing staff, fabulous location, really chilled out vibe... Outstanding. ❤️❤️❤️
C. N.
Met up with friends for a drink. Nice place, friendly staff and dog friendly inside downstairs. Didn't eat here as they do stop making food earlier than we thought but not sure on exact time.
P. B.
Lovely location good food although a bit over priced
P. D.
Lovely place to eat, toilets spotless, friendly efficient staff and very dog friendly.
A. M.
Lovely food, staff and atmosphere. It’s always a must visit when we are in Anglesey.
A. M.
Superb place..10/10 staff..food..setting.
You wont be disappointed...cant wait to go back.
R. D.
Our meal on Monday 25 April was as expected. Devine! We were well looked after by your lovely waitress Leah who was attentive but not intrusive. Praise must also go to Chris the head chef who cooked our meals to perfection. Will definitely visit again.
P. G.
We finally made a reservation & boy was it worth the wait! Faultless service, backed up by a wide-ranging menu, can't wait to return, oh & very reasonably priced.
N. E.
Came here for a Valentines meal nice atmosphere and the food was lovely no complaints.
Y. H.
What a lovely location, great views, lovely building, and of course good food and drink. Service was good and pretty quick for our large party of 8 people. Dog friendly but only allowed in parts of the building, but has good seating outside as well. Really enjoyed our evening out. Book to avoid disappointment!
K. D.
Terrific coffee and hot chocolate lots of character. I expect it has quite a vibe during the summer
R. R.
Great cake and coffee and a lovely place to relax with quality furniture and decor, unfortunately 2 others got served before us at the counter even though we was there 1st so you lose a star sorry.
C. J.
Wills bar: Ales were great with a selection of local ales.
Limited selection of bar food but what was available was great. We had prawnography and pull meat chips which we highly recommend. Nice atmosphere and dogs welcome
K. S.
Good vege batch. Friendly staff. Dog water bowls everywhere. Thank you as we have a dog.
S. J.
Fantastic food, superb drinks menu and idyllic location. Pleasant staff, nice decor throughout and dog-friendly.
M.
Really like this place. The food was of a really high quality. Great environment stunning views walking distance to the beach
G. L.
What an unexpected treasure to find after a visit to Cable bay. Very dog friendly and gorgeous food. Beautiful little huts to sit in outside in nice weather and bowls of water for dogs. Gorgeous.
A. K.
A fantastic spot for lunch, whether dining outside or in! The staff were all lovely, the food was fantastic from the Dune bar. They are super dog friendly and being so close to the beach, this really is suitable for all. If you are heading to Anglesey this is an absolute must, couldn't recommend it enough
C. R.
I ordered a linguine for a whopping £18 expecting a large meal. But the meal portion was extremely small and the linguine wasn't too special either. I wouldn't say that it's worth the money. Although the service is very fast
C. W.
Great place! We were lucky with the weather so sat on the terrace. Food worked well for 2 adults and 3 children and was really impressed when one of our children didn’t like the risotto they’d ordered when they took it off the bill - not their fault at all so this was not necessary. But this sort of service is what makes customers return and recommend to others which I’m delighted to do. Also fab desserts. Service a little slow but that was fine with us as we were in no rush and happy to soak up the atmosphere.
c. h.
The best Steak we have had for years. We'll cooked tender and succulent. Lovely sea bass too. Delicious and well worth the money
C. C.
Nice food, restaurant full sadly but is a very busy place
M. S.
High quality food, very reasonable prices, service and knowledge of ingredients second to none.
We were served by Hattie, with Aiden as the chef. (Many thanks once again for everything that you did for us.) Both were able to cope with an extensive list of multiple allergies and intolerancies adapting dishes on the go. Totally unflustered by the sudden changes required..
Definitely would recommend this place, and will be going back when next in the area.
M.
Nice place quite quirky and the staff where lovely enjoyed the food and the service immensely.
C. D.
What a lovely place! Sat outside in the bar, lovely area, very friendly staff. We had snacks from the snack bar, which were great. Recommend the dirty fries after a nice walk. Just what we needed! Lots of drinks choice. Nice pint and fab mojito!
D. R.
What a lovely spot. Visited most days this week. Great food, great music and a lovely sunset. Very busy and the staff do their best but sometimes the wait is long. This review is particularly to say thanks to the young blonde man behind the bar today who was unfailingly polite, helpful and cheerful in the face of a long queue of orders.
Some of the younger waitresses perfected the ‘avoidance stare’ today on the upper terrace but he was the perfect host.
I. J.
First time back after last lockdown. Great to be back, new menus and pizza/Street food too. Fish and chips is awesome but make sure you have a good appetite it's a large plate.
Staff very friendly and excellent service, give the kitchen staff a wave on the way out, they work really hard.
d. b.
A really enjoyable meal.
J. B.
Great meal whilst on the Island, definitely worth a visit.
S. C.
Had the beef strips. Absolutely delicious. Nice atmosphere and felt safe with the covid precautions in place. All staff pleasant and hard working.
E. R.
Went here with my family for my 24th birthday. What a fantastic restaurant!! Loved the food, service and surroundings. Will definitely be returning at the first opportunity I get 💕
J. W.
Excellent food, fantastic service and lovely settling.
I. R.
Had a lovely evening meal here and stuck around to watch the sun set over the dunes.
The steaks were gorgeous, as was the lobster and the pasta.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We saw some of the other food coming out such as the burger and that all looked lovely too.
The negative points were that special requests made when we ordered regarding salad changes etc were not followed, although we were served by a newer member of staff so decided to leave that issue.
Also the carpark does get full of beach goers which is nothing bad about the restaurant, but if you go on a sunny day for lunch be prepared to park on the road or get lucky.
C. H.
Fantastic spot, great fish 'n' chips, was a bit pricey but was quality . Good service as well.
L. G.
This place is a must! It's excellent. It has so much room inside & out. Decor- fab. Big car park. Delicious food. Excellent, welcoming staff. Good ambiance. Good value for money. AND
there is an area of the restaurant where diners & their pooches can sit together inside!
This place has everything going for it. It needs 10 stars not 5!
K. W.
A little pricy but good food and a friendly atmosphere
G. B.
Quiet when we visited but absolutely lovely with nice friendly staff, we shall be back
J. H.
Lovely looking restaurant with good food choices. Staff are generally huddled near the entrance chatting instead of circulating checking on the few occupied tables. (E.g. Not asked if food ok, if wanted more drinks, or desserts) Would return but just prefer to not have to go walking about to find staff
T. B.
nice looking restaurant. lovely views of lake and seafront. service very friendly. food lovely. felt covid safe. dessert menu could do with better choices
S. P.
Excellent fish and chips, friendly and quick service
S. P.
Wonderful restaurant right by the sand dunes of beautiful Rhosneigr
D. M.
Superb place, large portions and very friendly staff.
M. W.
Our booking had been missed but we did get a table. The lobster was very small and the curry hot even though a request was made for mild. The sundae dessert was the smallest portion we have ever had and not up to the standard we had expected from previous reviews. The staff were friendly and helpful.
S. S.
Lovely Service & Food. Dogs more than welcome. Would come again.
There's a cool fast food bit too underneath.
H. S.
An excellent meal here last Saturday. Our server, Naomi, was polite, professional and amiable and the food (the chef was John) was excellent: flavourful and beautifully presented. Perfect atmosphere too.
A very positive experience.
V. D.
Amazing food fabulous service! Had the seafood linguine. 10/10
C. F.
The terrace is amazing on a lovely sunny day, you could feel like you are abroad with the views over the bay. The staff were very friendly but the service was VERY slow, they must have been short staffed as it took 3 and a half hours for us to have a 2 course meal and 2 rounds of teas and coffees. Luckily we were in no rush and it was very relaxing. The food was lovely and fresh but the portions were small for the price.
J. J.
Absolutely fabulous food, service and location. Would definitely recommend a visit
T. B.
Very friendly service and huge portions.
R. C.
Lovely fish and chips plus great friendly service 😁
A. F.
We have only been here for drinks and have sat outside. Lovely setting within the sand dunes. A lot of people were having pizzas which looked very nice. There is table service and the staff are friendly and efficient.
M. F.
Was very busy, but the service was good, pizza went down well!
J. B.
It's a lovely place, but has no air con, and it was very hot. I had lobster which was very nice.
S. T.
Gorgeous place both inside and out food was beautiful and offer a wide selection of drinks.. dogs welcome indoors and out so great if you wanna take your canine friends with you.. only slight issue is the menu could have contained a few more dishes but would highly recommend p.s. the decking area outside is perfect for dining out in the summer. 4½*
s. c.
Great food and service. Friendly polite staff. Lovely menu. Reasonable prices
R. H.
Popped in to Will's Bar for a quick lunchtime snack. Not really much of a selections for food so plumped for some fries with pulled pork.
Food was ok...it was a bar snack after all and didn't expect much. Had a latte to drink from the bar and spent just over £20 between two of us.
Nice bar area and service was good.
Views from the balcony overlooking the dunes are great and to be honest can't be beaten on a hot summers day. Great place to sit and chill with a cold beer.
I just wish they would sort out the food though. Been there a few times and always left underwhelmed by what we had eaten. It's ok but they could do much better. I believe there has been a new chef in the main restaurant since last time we went upstairs so can't really testify to how the food is today.
Many people love this place and always busy so wise to book ahead.
S. W.
Nice little bar to visit, fantastic staff and great views
G. C.
Lovely dog friendly place to eat, really great staff, went out of their way to help, even before they reopened after renovation, popped in for a coffee but felt crestfallen when we were told they were closed, bless them, they made us a coffee and never charged for it. Well done guys, it's refreshing to find lovely generous people around still. By the way, we returned for a meal a few days later, excellent guys, well done.
B. K.
Absolutely lovely 🤗

Amazing food and excellent service. We were made to feel very welcome and had a really enjoyable visit. Would highly recommend

Limited menu and have opted to serve their soft drinks in 200ml bottle which I always find extremely frustrating. The service was good and the staff were lovely. The building is beautiful.
D. M.
Nice setting, excellent service. Portions were on the small side so would have gone for a starter main and dessert.
I. B.
Had a lovely lunch ( Fish & Chips ) in lovely surroundings with great views.
P. P.
Incredible food, the burger was amazing. Very well served beer and ale, very nice staffed even though they were stressed from being understaffed and busy, they were still helpful and friendly. Great building and location. 10/10, would definitely recommend if staying in the area, passing through or staying anywhere in Anglesey
G. M.
A beautiful vista to enjoy an afternoon thirst quencher. Off f9r a play in the sand dunes after this beer. Great place.
M. R.
Awesome food, relaxed atmosphere and dog friendly. 🐕
W. C.
Ordered food from the pizza place, they gave us a buzzer thing to let us know when to come a s collect the food. It didn't buzz it beep. Went to ask and was told it was waiting for us, so instead of coming to find us when their system didn't work they just waited until we came back asking where the food was. This was the same for two orders we placed, neither buzzer/beeper alerted us. Pretty poor service. The food was ok, the dirty fries were good, pizza was average.
D. J.
Awesome experience on the chef's table.
Food was really nice and plenty of it.
Will certainly be going back and having the duck shepherd's pie next time.
Top mark's to the chef's.
C. R.
Very good filthy fries, a lovely location and nice atmosphere, reasonable prices - really enjoyed it.
We only went to the bar downstairs, we didn't go to restaurant upstairs, so can't comment on that - but looks nice.
J. B.
Kids menu was amazing value...would have liked more lunch items on the menu as well as main meals
M. S.
Called in for a coffee at wills bar, dog friendly
I. L.
Just had a drink here. Great outside areas for summer drinks and the beach just over the dunes is to die for!!
T. K.
Found the oyster catcher last weekend while away racing. Three night stay and three nights in the Oyster Catcher great food service could be better.
M. D.
Great place to relax in the sun, quality pizza and prawn chips a delight
c. h.
Nice place, good scenery. Not great choice on menu, very over priced compared to other restaurants.
J. R.
The food was absolutely fantastic as was the service. Also dog friendly, which was a massive bonus.
M. A. D.

Nice atmosphere and decorate. Food was okay but very over priced.
l. h.
Really beautiful setting,a short walk to the beach. Although a busy venue, the service was great and the food lovely, would certainly revisit.
R. H.
Lovely food and great views.. service although prompt didn't quite manage to get my simple order right! However I'd go again..
C. F.
This was a brilliant place to eat. be going back again when passing

We visited this week and was enjoying the evening though slightly rushed between courses. I ordered the beef cheek which i have had on numerous occasions at other restuarants and usually so tender and delicious. This meal was largely inedible. I tried cutting it into small pieces but it was glutinous and tough. I explained this at the end of the meal as was asked how it was. We were asked earlier but we had only just started the course so seemed ok.The chef was advised and the response was that he will mention it to the butcher. Unfortunately I blame the prep and cooking. It was tough and made me feel quite queasy with the texture in the end. I marked it 3 stars as my husband enjoyed his food although his calamari portion wasnt very big. My meal ruined the experience of the visit for me.
J. F.
A stunning venue in absolutely beautiful scenery offering a vast selection of wines, beers and beautiful food. Both indoors and outdoors eating on their beautiful balcony or gardens, offered the best restaurant in the area by far if your in the area make the time for a visit you won't regret it.
G. L.
Not bad, but definitely over priced. Nothing else was stand out
A. L.
Nice helpful staff great food good portions too fantastic location
R. B.
Had a really nice meal. Friendly atmosphere friendly staff. Good to see the seating has greatly improved in the downstairs bar. Highly recommended.
J. J.
We hadn't been to the Oyster Catcher for about 3 years and we were impressed with our visit last week. The service was friendly and efficient and the menu varied and interesting. As the GF Veggie I had the Watermelon salad with chips. Delicious.
T. S.
Good food and staff are attentive but the food took circa 40 mins on a Wednesday lunchtime. There may have been a staffing issue in the kitchen but if not, mgt may need to look at scheduling.
D. G.
Lovely restaurant, tasty food freshly prepared in a kitchen in full view, great service, reasonably priced.
Well worth a visit.
k. m.
Had high expectations for this place as its a great location and impressive building but we were a little disappointed, menu wasn't to everyone's taste, food was OK but we felt the price wasn't justified as food was same as what we had eaten elsewhere for much cheaper prices , service was friendly but wasn't great in terms of having to ask and wait a long time for drinks etc, would probably recommend this place for drinks on their lovely balcony on an evening but currently unfortunately wouldn't recommend eating here.
J. M.
All of the staff were friendly even down to the guy who collects the glasses in the garden. Nice food both in the restaurant and from the shack. Good selection of local beers.will call back in next time we are down there.
R. H.
Modern and impressive seafood restaurant. Disappointingly out of oysters but food was delicious and service good.
P. P.
Loved the place, very dog friendly, good food
a. l.
Lovely pub plenty of parking, eat in or out lovely meals plenty of variety of drinks
c. d.
This place is VERY popular and with good reason...they were fully booked for dinner (evening) two weeks ahead when we enquired on arrival.in Rhosneigr. But on a very rainy day (when EVERYONE wanted to get inside for food and drink) , they managed to squeeze a booking in (late lunch for 2). And I'm very glad they they did. It was our first visit, We just had fish and chips and it was excellent...generous plate of food, the freshest of fish, cooked perfectly. When next holidaying in Anglesey, we'll definitely book ahead to coincide with our holiday dates before we even leave home.
S. P.
Wow, love this place. What a fabulous Californian vibe. Ate at Pat's Shack - fairly small selection, but all dishes very high quality. Sun going down, decent music (but not too loud) - couldn't get enough. If you are on Anglesey, go here!
D. G.
Lovely food ...very friendly staff ..
T. M.
Superb Fish and Chips, lovely setting and great service. Really one of the most delicious executions of this classic dish we’ve enjoyed. We highly recommend Oyster Catcher.
T. B.
Customer service was excellent and very accommodating even when it was very busy. We ate in the bar downstairs (because of the dog) where food choice was quite limited but ok for what it was. Location and setting were good. Probably a place to go for beers after a day at the beach than for great pub food.
J. H.
Service was brilliant. Staff were friendly & helpful. Food was Amazing and reasonably priced. In a fantastic location. Will definitely return. A lovely evening.
P. H.
Met a friend here for coffee. There was plenty of space both inside and out; we chose to sit outside on a beautiful day. Decent food offering, good coffee. It’s in a great location and deserves to do well.
M. V.
Excellent food, a great selection and fantastic setting.
d.
Lovely sea food restaurant right on the coast . Great outside catered seated area if the weather is on point . The menu is varied with an excellent assortment of fish dishes being the house speciality . Vegetarian options available . Would totally recommend service and quality of the food is excellent.
S. “. W.
Lovely setting. Good food & speedy service
D. B.
Great place to visit for food or just a drink, beautiful surroundings and if the sun shining you can enjoy food and drinks on the terrace, also have a couple of eateries if you choose not to eat in the oyster catcher offering fries sandwiches etc. Staff great very attentive. Love this place
r. d.
Clean and friendly, set in a beautiful location. With RAF valley a few miles away it's a plane spotter's paradise coupled with its close proximity to Ty croes race way, and it's ideal location in trearder bay. Its s great place to wine and dine
A. B.
Good place but the team was all over the place. Ended up waiting fair bit between orders that were wrong a couple of tomes and at the end they overcharged us
E. A.
Great location and restaurant. But… you shouldn’t advertise Tiger Prawns and then serve King Prawns.
S. D.
This is a great place to have a drink and meal. We have been in the restaurant and eaten outside from the shack. Both first class. Staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to ensure you are looked after.
P. S.
Great place to eat, upstairs for casual smart, down stairs for casual. Highly recommended.
M. R.
Table Service and food excellent. Small issue with getting a table for 6 when we arrived. However it was sorted fairly quickly.
d. l.
Great setting near the sandhills just outside Rosneigr. Had a great hot, fresh pizza and pint of real ale. Easy going downstairs and dog friendly. Nice restaurant upstairs with balcony seating. Modern clean toilets. Hop over the sand hills to the beautiful beach. Free spacious car park.
M. B.
What a place. The food is fantastic and tge staff couldn't of done any more
G. P.
Called here for a black coffee while out walking, the coffee wasn't very good, I asked for a small jug of hot water to go with the coffee & the water was brown, when I went to say to the staff the young girl was not helpful at all, she kept repeating that everything they did was home made, what that had to do with the water being brown I've no idea.
Expensive coffee but not good.
C.
Great service, shame they didn't have Oysters.
P. M.
Spotlessly clean, good service and great food
C. B.
Only stopped for a pint but it was a good pint indeed. Lovely location lots of inside and outside space. Great music. Walkable from the surf beach at Rhosneigr. Good stop for the apré surf.
G. M.
Nice, just a bit busy for the amount of seats.
D. N.
Great food and great service thank you!
A. B.
First class service on a very busy weekend and food delicious.
Starters were truly scrumptious and thrilled to see a seafood platter!
A. S.
The views around the Oyster Catcher are breathtaking, you can see Snowdonia, the sea and Rhosneiger village! The food was gorgeous and the service was great!
P. W.
Service was fab....lovely girl behind the bar. Veggie Sausage and mash was very nice. Fish was beautiful but the chips were on the dry side and only had a mere teaspoon of homemade tartar sauce and a desert spoon of mushy peas.
Over priced for what was served.
We went in the downstairs bar which allowed dogs in which was very nice.
I. B.
Great food and a very pleasant atmosphere
T. P.
Fabulous place with excellent views and bars .
Restaurant was fantastic.
Staff extremely friendly and welcoming.
A must to visit .
J. G.
Booked for my husband and 2 dogs - we were really looked after by all the staff in this amazingly beautiful restaurant - both ordered surf and turf, the knicker bocca glory and ginger nut and lemon cheese cake .... couldn’t fault it !!! Will definitely be going back soon.
S. W.
Cracking venue next to the beach. Great beer and tasty grub 😁
N. B.
Stunning restaurant. Amazing food. Good cocktails all in a beautiful location with wonderful grounds to sit in. Will come back every time we are on angelsey
L. T.
Nice looking place, good location , only to expensive for low to middle income earners
G. S.
Nice location, great decor but not the most extensive menu.
p. s.
Very well presented, food was good and staff friendly. Good atmosphere. 👍
A. B.
Foods great, best place for good coffee
v.
Amazing place for all the family. Food was delicious although service a little slow. Went back three nights on the trot so it made an impact! A must stop off if in Rosneigher.
C. B.
What a brilliant place, great staff and ambience.
The food was excellent, a good varied menu.
Well recommended.
M. S.
Beautiful restaurant in a location with a fab view! Very friendly and helpful staff and the food was great - had the spring vegetable risotto and can say its the best tofu I've had! Would reccomend and would come back again.
A. D.
This is a gem of a place...great ambience...food is excellent...and so dog friendly! When you've finished in the restaurant you can go and have a drink in the very vibey bar downstairs which is also dog friendly and serves great pizza & snacks
R. K.
Wicked place. Great menu with lots of veggie options. Really great vibe and dog friendly. Highly recommended
K.
Stunning place amazing staff a great food. Would definitely recommend. And teturn
M. J.
Excellent facilities ample car parking in a beautiful spit nextvto a stunning beach. Food brilliant
m. t.
Had a dinner booking cancelled due to staff shielding for Covid. Got a call to advise us of this the day before the booking- were still able to have the take away hut options and eat in the bar with table service which was great. Some lovely different food options including a great vegan option ( 5 stars for that) however quite a delay in getting a drinks order taken - ordered a bottle of Rose which came to the table in an ice bucket but not chilled. On raising this was told- due to restocking they havent been in the fridge very long. Ok- but your main trade is food and liquor sales- this should have been dealt with. Suggested a solution- larger ice bucket with water as well as ice which then appeared quickly and all was well. Cant give 5 star rating on these 2 issues. Staff friendly and capable- but please- get to your thirsty customers quickly!
M. H.
Lovely afternoon sitting in beer garden and having bar snacks
M. B.
It's full on a bank holiday, but you can park there and go to the beach with some snacks. Nice and helpful place for the area. Toilets too.
J. B.
Family had a lovely night out, the staff made us welcome and feel safe, 2 tables of 4 as we were a party of 8.
The only disappointment was their signature dish wasn't available even though it was only 6.00pm and no fresh fish. We had to make do with steaks and the fish and chips 🤔. All cooked beautifully but so wanted "lobster"

We called in for a brew after a windy beach walk. Staff were lovely and it's a great venue. Cafe bar downstairs with craft beers, gins, smoothies etc. Very Dog friendly in the cafe and open areas. We didn't eat but the menus looked really good
G. C.
Lovely place to eat. Definitely recommend.
S.
Beautiful place to be, and food is delicious too.
A. W.
No vegetarian roast which was very disappointing. The cauli steak i had was undercooked. The place is gorgeous looking, and the staff were lovely.
E. H.
We went to the Oyster Catcher in late September 2021. It was later in the evening and we hadn't booked into the resturant upstairs, so the nice chap being the bar dircted us to Pat's Shack (and we're so glad!).
We went for a fish taco which was excellent, but also tried a unique pizza! An incredibly enthusiastic young chef had been experimenting with a Prawnography Pizza. We were feeling adventurous so went with this recommendation. Delicate flavours of Lobster and Prawns on a pizza with no tomato but lifted by sriracha and sour cream. Completely different and really tasty. He came over a chatted to us and was so great to meet and hear someone so passionate about their craft. Brendon you did your self proud lad. Take a bow.
M. S.
The Oyster Catcher seemed like a good place to eat, and I was really looking forward to it. We got an email in the morning saying there was no bookings but we could eat on the terrace (maybe) or get a takeaway from Pat’s Shack which will be open. When we arrived, we asked someone and they said that Pat’s Shack had been closed ALL DAY and was not serving on the terrace. Really terrible service. However, I have not been inside yet, which means I don’t really know what it’s like on the inside.
B. G.
Lovely venue. Choice of more casual dining as well. Dog friendly areas with water bowls and water barrels. Burger was awesome as was cheesy garlic bread. Staff really good. Very enjoyable.
G. F.
The Oyster Catcher is back on form! Visited October 2021 and the food was delicious. The restaurant is in a beautiful location and the views are fabulous. The atmosphere is good and the service friendly.
K. T.
Really lovely meal, reasonably priced with nice views all around will definitely go again..
C. C.
A lovely pub! Staff were super friendly and accommodating- will definitely go back!
S. P.
Wonderful bar nestled amongst the sand dunes. Lovely to sit outside on a sunny day. Exceptional service from really friendly staff. Food looked great too
J. Z.
Had a lovely meal here with my better half yesterday. Great food and an ideal location, then a walk over the dunes to the beach to walk off the ample portions they give you. Highly recommend it. 👍
S. H.
Lovely place with lots of outdoor tables. Great food. Service is pretty terrible and mostly young inexperienced staff made the dining experience frustrating at times. Seems very unorganised
S. B.
This is in an amazing setting. With a few tweaks and attention to detail this restaurant could quickly equal some of the best. The main courses were good quality and well presented. The sweets were horrid and poor quality. The waitress asked us why we hadn’t eaten them and when we told her she arranged for the cost of them to be taken off the menu. She was helpful.
E. S.
One of my favourite places to eat, both in the restaurant and the take away/ bar food area which my children love. Definitely worth a visit of 10 :)
P.
Lovely meal with good service. Monkfish course very tasty but the fish was not prepared properly. Still had the membrane on the outside and the centre bone in. Certainly the membrane should have been removed. A small portion. We had to sit outside because of lockdown restrictions and the weather was ok but there were no parasols if it rained.
M. S.
This is our 2nd year in a row visiting Anglesey and the Oyster Catcher is one of our favourite places to come for food and drink.
Dogs are welcome in the bar area with both indoor and outdoor seating (which is lovely in the evening sun). There is a smaller bar menu including pizzas, fries and tacos for those wanting to grab a bite to eat. However it does get busy so wait on food can take a while dependent on when you are visiting.
There is a more formal restaurant upstairs too but with 3 hounds we haven’t eaten up there.
J. D.
Great venue, fitted us in on a busy Friday Evening after a day on the beach! Food was splendid. Service was friendly and prompt! Great team! Thankyou!
d. c.
Excellent food and service at a very difficult time.
Monkfish tail local mussels fish and chips all great local beer also great
Front of house and servers friendly busy and helpful
Thank you my extended family loved it and we will return
J. C.
Stopped by during a Summer Vacation on a day that the 50% off scheme was in place. It was very busy and the staff told us to go for a walk then try again in 30 minutes as you couldn’t book a table.
Went and sat on the amazing beach just a stones throw away and returned 30 minutes to get a table upstairs on the balcony.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the food selection was really good, seafood whilst sat by the sea! Nothing better!
Unfortunately the Lobster has sold out so we went for a sharing platter to start and then steak for main.
The food was fantastic and the drinks also went down a treat.
Would love to return one day, not many restaurants like this in North Wales, this one is a real gem!

First night of indoor dining, a bit of a disappoinment. First problem was that my wife and myself ordered an 8oz sirloin steak, medium rare and medium cooked. When they arrived, mine was luke warm and the so called watercress salad was two small sprigs of cress.
I sent mine back to be reheated but when returned it was not much warmer than before.
Second problem came with the bill. The steaks listed on the menu was an 8oz for £19.95. On the bill we were charged for a 10oz at £21.95,
t here was no 10oz on the menu.
When we called a waiter he said just a minute, I'll be back.
He already knew what the problem was as he came back with an amended bill with the steak at £19.95.
What was annoying was that the steaks were certainly NOT 10oz and the fact that we were never offered any discount or free drinks nor a proper apology. Definitely need to improve their service.
R. D.
Came in for a Sunday roast. Staff were lovely. Soup to start was gorgeous. Roast beef was tasty and plenty of however very overcooked as was the Yorkshire. Not enough gravy. Veg was done well but only a measly amount. Horseradish sauce was suberb. The two puddings which they could have tempted us with had all gone. Overall a good attempt but could have been better. When weighed up against the price charged very mediocre
L. S.
Lovely location however feels a little worn. I ordered a tea and the cup and tea pot were really dirty and had bits in the milk so asked for a replacement. We ate upstairs so had to order from the restaurant menu. I had cod goujons and chuncky chips which was really tasty.
All dog friendly and a good stop after a long walk on the beach.
C. C.
Awesome beach bar!
Friendly staff and good drinks and food selection.
The weather and the music gave a very Ibiza vibe perfect location
M. H.
Great food and great Cider 👍 thanks for the awesome service 😀
A. B.
Excellent place to eat just off the sea front. Food very tasty. Clean and tidy and great service.
L. W.
We had a great meal this afternoon , great food great staff all working hard and great company thanks to a special friend and ,a good catch up with Tommy , great location and the sun was shining . Recommend to anyone visiting Rhosneiger. Hope to see you very soon.
J. R.
Good range of food available including small plates that were ideal for lunch. My wife was impressed by the range of options for vegetarians. She enjoyed the quiche. The rump steak was very good flavour and texture. Friendly staff too.
F. M.
We only stopped for a coffee. Mein host was very friendly and helpful ☕👍
M. N.
Very good, helpful staff. Fantastic for a evening meal or just a coffee and cake. Lovely views. Will be back again soon.
A. B.
Fantastic experience here, very friendly staff.
D. A.
Really good humble food. Nothing too extravagant but definitely worth a visit for a meal by the sea! They allow dogs in the downstairs bar and on the upstairs decking so we ended up there twice over the weekend.
D. L.
On holiday in Anglesey and visited Rhosneigr today. Had a lovely walk round the lake with our Border Terrier Maddie and then went for lunch at the Oyster Catcher. Good food and attentive service at a reasonable price. Beautiful beach nearby so all in all a great day. Recommended
E. P.
A really enjoyable pint and snack lunch. Could do with more outside shade in this lovely hot weather. Back for lunch soon inside with 2 dogs. Book ahead
R. L.
Lovely food, lovely staff. Altogether a really enjoyable experience 👍
P. P.
Classy place to eat whilst taking in the view of the dunes.
J. T.
Great place to visit, service very friendly and helpful, food lovely
I. N.
Quite busy, quite a few dogs, gave our reserved table away even after booking it on the phone, long waiting time in-between meal, they can not cope when busy,
A. D.
Amazng views, great service friendly staff would definitely come back
T. H.
Very attentive staff and good social distancing, drinks came promptly working with table service only currently. Catered well outdoors with dog bowls for the puppy as well!!
S. K.
Absolutely wonderful meal, great efficient and friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
C. G.
Dog friendly. Right on sand dunes then onto beautiful sandy beach
S. 2.
What a great pub sat behind the dunes. An excellent so off for a drink and something to eat with good food during a walk or if just driving past. Very dog friendly with free dog water.
The outside seating can be a bit crumby but can be expected so close to the dunes.
d. b.
Seemed a bit “big and impersonal” at first glance, but first impressions don’t always count.
Food was good and well served, allergy attentive too during the ordering process.
Only downside for me was a less than average choice on the beer front (but I’m a bit sad when it comes to that anyway 🙄)
Overall, I would recommend.
J. G.
A great place to eat and drink at reasonable prices. Food is really good and staff are excellent. And only a very short walk to the beach.
P. E.
We went to the takeaway at the side and ate it in the bar with a pint. Very nice spicy Indian fish.
V. D.
We passed there to view the beach behind the beautiful large building restaurant and looked really busy. Car park was almost full on a windy & showering day! Imagine on sunny day?
D. K.
Sat on the balcony over looking Rhosneigr. Restaurant was closed due to Covid but we ate from Pats Shack and a pint from Wills Bar. We had margarita pizza, garlic bread amd prawnography (dirty fires). Excellent food piping hot. Prefect lunch spot
P. C.
Great building, restaurant upstairs has good menu choice, downstairs food is limited. Dog friendly restaurant upstairs, great food, great service.
J. B.
Fantastic experience wonderful food and loved the decor. Would highly recommend.
