They recently won best shawarma in Glasgow 2022 and they are the best in whole Glasgow so far, I love the unique taste and it's get freshly made while you wait and their price are very reasonable too ,they Often get too busy but still worth waiting for. (_Top Tip_)usually an order takes up to 2.5 minutes per order to get completed so be ready for average about 20 to 30 minutes which is not bad in busy time. Taste 5/5 Service 3.5/5 Quality 5/5 Prices 5/5

Actually quite a good combination of the crispy lamb with the cabbage. We stumbled upon this place by chance after a walk in the necropolis and a drink in a nearby pub. Please be prepared to wait at least 20' though for your shawarma as they take the time to prepare it when ordered (go to the cashier, order and you'll get a number that they will call).

Hands down the best shawarma I’ve ever had and also one of the best takeaways in Glasgow. The lamb shawarma tastes really good and I think the prices are reasonable. Because of the high demand, orders usually take around 20 to 35 minutes but the taste is really worth the wait.

Visiy 1. Stopped at this place yesterday by chance. I love shawarmas, the best ones I have had in UK was only London, Edgware Road. These guys are equally good as compared to the best of London. Quite busy place but when food is this good one shouldn't mind waiting. Visit 2. We visited them again after few days and picked up some mixed grills. Best again. This is having visited more than 50+ middle Eastern restaurants in UK and this little place does better food than any one of them.

Hands down the best Donair/kebab/etc that I've ever had. The fresh made pita is already a win. Sets it apart from most places I've been to. The crunch of the cabbage and pickles was lovely. The pickles are always a nice addition to this type of flavour combo. The lamb was brilliant. Don't know if it's the charcoal grill, but whatever it was, the meat was tops. The wait was long, but it was also encouraging. If it was that crowded then it must be good, right? I'll be coming back again before I leave Glasgow.

Came to Glasgow for a visit. Saw this kebab shop on Google maps with very good reviews, so thought why not. 1st thoughts of the shop very tiny, but don't let this distract you from the amazing food. Ordered a regular mixed sharwarma. The meat was so juicy and tender, the naan which was used for the wrap was fantastic saw a fella in the back making them fresh straight out of the oven. Hidden gem in Glasgow. I would personally say better than GDK and the pricing is reasonable for the portion you get. No wonder this has been named the best in Scotland. Could also say the best in the UK!

Best shwarama in the city. The meats are tender and juicy. It's always hot especially if you visit in person which I must recommend you do. Have it with all toppings for the best experience possible. A regular lamb Shwarama is the best and quite fulling as well. The bread is soft with a but of a chewy texture which I really like. A must have if you are in Glasgow.

Tried it today after reading different reviews. It actually really nice, I preferred the lamb shawarma compared to the chicken one. Service is quite fast and efficient. Also, if you order chips, you can be sure they're fried from frozen, because most of the takeaway in Glasgow fried chips after being already fried. Anyway, good takeaway, I recommend.

Probably the best shawarma in Glasgow. They make it absolutely fresh on the spot. Sometimes even the bread is baked right in front of you on the spot. However, the shawarma itself is a bit too heavy. I assume overuse of butter. I have had it approximately 3 times now and the balance of sauces doesn't seem right. Not a big fan of their sauces either. Value for money is 5/5 though. Had the small mix for £4.50 which is probably the cheapest and best I had for this price.

OK but not great. After reading the other Google reviews on this place I was excited to try it out but on the whole its a bit disappointing when you've tried excellent kebabs like those served in Doner Haus (also in Glasgow). Shawarma (as a word) is being used quite loosely here to the extent that the kebabs here are not a faithful representation of a Shawarma kebab in a traditional sense but more of a classic kebab in a naan bread where the vertical spit does NOT contain processed meat but chunks of lamb or chicken. So, is it any good? Yes and no. Lamb tends to be a fatty meat in general and you'll catch your fair share (of fat strips) here. It doesnt taste bad, it just doesnt taste great either. No choice of breads here either. It's going to be the contents rolled in a naan bread (baked fresh) or bust but luckily it's decent quality. The salad is good too. The problem is the kebab oncthe whole is a bit bland. You MUST demand sauce on the side if you want to catch any striking sense of flavour. At £6 (£5.99) for a large, the portions are smaller in comparison to an average Shish Kebab at the same price (the bulk is the naan). I ordered a large chips and cheese for £3.50 for good measure and the portion size was about half of what you'd get from a classic chippy except these are just deep fried from a bag of frozen pre-cut chips from a supermarket or cash and carry. The staff were friendly enough so no complaints there either. The place has recently had a facelift apparently but the materials are pretty low budget which means it won't likely shake that "run down" look that makes you question or worry (sometimes unecessarily) about general hygiene etc. Overall, there are quite a few better tasting and better value take out options to consider in Glasgow. This place isn't bad by any means but in my opinion, the high volume of 4 and 5 star google reviews are not an accurate appraisal when all is said and done and you're left with an oily film in your mouth that simply won't go away. Excellent choice if you're wrapping up a hard night's drinking session but would I try again sober? Nope.

Love this place. Looking for authentic shawarma? You must go to Shawarma King!! Tasty delicate pieces of meat slowly roasted and placed into a handmade fluffy wrap (no kidding, they literally make the bread infront of you), then topped with all manner of excellent fillings! Haven't had shawarma like it since I worked in the Middle East! One shawarma is large enough for a proper meal. They also have fresh hummus that is truly superb! Such a nice experience too-standing with friends: sitting under the bridge in the cold winter evening, sipping hot black tea, chatting and munching through the best shawarma in scotland.
