Went for a family meal last night. Service was first class. Plenty of choice on the menu. Food was delicious. Staff were very friendly & helpful. We hadn't been there for food in a long time but definitely will be back soon!

We chose from the a la carte menu. We shared a fish pakora starter and then both had the South Indian Garlic Chilli chicken. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Staff very nice and friendly. Will be back soon!

Went with a friend for impromptu lunch had veg pakora was reheated but ok then chicken bhuna and rice with a nan bread which was good and a Coke very happy with the service all in all a good lunch one tip make sure the pakora is fresh

I really can’t fault this place both in the excellence of the food, the service and the cost. The nan bread is perfect in every way, so fresh! The special Bhuna is awesome and goes so well with the chicken tikka chasni if you’re like me and share with hubby . Pakora tastes fresh and crisp . Like I said I can’t fault it..... even the humble chips are brilliant! If you have kids, the kids menu is very reasonable with fantastic kids portions. My son had chicken burger with chips & salad and loved it. We’ve dined in and collected ( too many ) take aways during Covid and both have been great. Obvs eating in is best tho... no dishes to clear up afterwards!

MAGNIFICENT! Had lunch inside the Indian Cottage a few weeks ago with my girlfriends and the service was superb...staff very attentive, helpful and friendly. The food was so good we ordered a take away tonight and it was that amazing I actually called them to tell them! Portion sizes were fabulous and we have tons left over. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and honestly it's the best I have ever tasted! The garlic Nan was to die for too! Growing up in Kirkintilloch the Indian Cottage was undeniably the best in town...I can safely say it's still the best in town after all these years! Keep up the high standards team Indian Cottage x

Indian Cottage serves reliably tasty a la carte curries. Staff are attentive, bringing freshly cooked joy hot from the kitchen. Golden fly king prawns and fish pakora are both incredibly good starters. Nawab and Goan curry mains are a feast. Naan is light, tasty and so much better than that of the competition. Make sure you have a ride home after you have stuffed yourself.

Was here for the buffet as part of my Leaving Do. Staff were super helpful and food tasted really good. There was a good selection of starters & sides. 6 different curries of varying spice and flavour (All very good!) And even a nice selection of cakes for desert. Defiantly worth a visit as it's very reasonably priced!

Good-sized place that looks very nice inside and out. I visited here as part of a group of 13. We had the buffet; there was a good selection of food for all 3 courses - and the food was very good. The madras in particular was tasty - though I was expecting it to be hotter. Good value for money too - I fully intend to visit again.

Food was fresh, Was surprised how small the buffet area was. but then I quickly released that the food was constantly being replaced with fresh food. Decor very good. Went with family on christmas day. Absolutely fantastic experience. The food was really good but it was the service by the lovely attentive staff that made it a great time. Lovely extra touch when santa came in to give presents to kids and the ladies. That was above and beyond and definetely made our day. Would definetely recommend this restaurant to visit. I've been here a few times with friends and each time we've ordered different meals yet all of the curries were of the type that's a gloopy sauce, which seems to be the case for many Indian restaurants. The food tasted nice enough though nothing special. However, on our last meal we got a garlic naan and it was pretty much a plain naan smothered in garlic butter that hadn't melted so you had to scrape it off. The portions of rice are quite small, they come in a little plastic cup that they tip out into the centre of the plate when serving. The prices are cheap, you can get a full meal with a drink for about £20. The staff are also very friendly and offer a fantastic service. It's a good place to go with friends if you're in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to reserve a table here.
