Delicious food! Really enjoyed. Great service.

Delicious food and lovely friendly service. Booking was easy through the website. The restaurant is clean with a nice calm atmosphere. My only gripe was that most of the dishes have a two chilly spice rating with only the korma as a mild option. For my tastes this is fine but for those who don't like hot food at all the choice was very limited. A highlight was the naan breads which are light and fluffy.

Ordered a takeaway yesterday , service 5 star ⭐️ Took only 25 minutes and packaged very well. The food quality 5 star ⭐️ quantity 5 star spice level 4 star as it wasn’t spicy 🌶 at all . The briyani was good wouldn’t say exceptional but my son enjoyed it as it suited his spice level. Tandoori was excellent 👌 enjoyed it and finally the butter chicken which wasn’t what I expected felt it was tangy and not buttery . Overall 4 🌟 for this experience. Aroma will be my recommendation for good Indian food in Gloucester. Recently ordered the chicken briyani and wouldn’t order it again the quality of the food has drastically worsened over a period of last 10 months . I would will give it only 3 stars and not sure if I will recommend this place to any of my friends.

I have high expectations when it comes to Asian food and this place is one of the very few restaurants in Glos/Chelt that actually exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for authentic Indian food, this is the place!! I would recommend the Goan Prawn Masala and Chicken Kozhi Chettinadu, both were extremely delicious!!!!

Of all the Indian restaurants in Gloucester, I’ve yet to try this place until very recently. From my experience, I only regret not visiting sooner. The food was of a very high standard with lots of flavour. I would highly recommend the Butter Chicken Masala. Not many Indian restaurants can get it right but this one certainly does. The Nan bread is soft and fluffy - baked to perfection. This restaurant definitely lives up to its reputation of being the best Indian restaurant in Gloucester. The service was impeccable and the staff are very welcoming. Understandably, it is very busy so would recommend booking a table in advance. Looking forward to my next experience.

Oh wow, this place is a gem. Really good food and drinks menu was different. Let down by flat coke in nice rum. Food was fantastic but as a big party, placed downstairs by the front door wasn't the nicest. Recommend the platter, it was sooo good.

This place does Indian cuisine..the hotest curry they sell is a madras, tiny portions on the pickle tray, expensive for what is supplied food wise, but you can eat the food and service was quick and efficient...a one off treat at best.

Visited for family dinner. Excellent Food and service. The best Naan breads I had for a long time. Would definitely recommend Kozhi Chettinadu and Aroma Mix Platter. The staff is very friendly and makes you comfortable. The interior is very calming and clean toilets. I would have given 5 stars if they would have worked a little bit more on menu options like more choices. Wanted to have Lamb but couldn’t work. I also would suggest for flooring. Its quite unstable and for old people to walk with walkers and yes high heels😬. Plus for staff as well. They are carrying food which is hot might flip on anyone around. One of the best Indian meals I've had...and I eat a lot! Lamb madras was the most flavourful madras I've had in the UK and the rest of the dishes matched up. We were only in Gloucester for a couple of days and glad we stumbled on this gem. Highly recommend

WOW, WOW, WOW, just experienced Aroma tonight and can say from the get go, you going to get something special if you dine in. Everything is fresh right from the pickle tray. Even had 2 main dishes, Chicken Shashlick and Lamb Biryani and nothing was left on the plate. What a gem of a place outside the main curry cities of England. They've even won the South West curry awards in 2019 which i know takes some doing, with plenty competition. Short walk away from the docks, so can always come back for a nightcap in the dock bars.

Just went here with my daughter to order food for 3, by far the best indian food we have had our life! We are vegan, and they had amazing options, but it helped that the customer service was amazing and so helpful and friendly. It all tasted amazing, everything was fresh and hot, all around just delicious. For the amount that we ordered, which was quite a bit, the prices were amazing especially for the amount they gave us plus how good it all was. We were almost going to go somewhere else at first but then thought we would give them a try, and saved half of what we were planning on spending somewhere else. Especially the fact that it was all vegan, which is normally hard to find, it was amazing. You guys deserve every penny!

Aroma has to be one of the best curry houses in Gloucester. Have ordered multiple times during the lockdown and the quality of food has been consistently good. The quantity is perfect and they always offer some discount deals which makes it great value for money. Highly recommended if you haven't tried them out yet.

Ordered the lamb madras the first from here and it absolutely incredible. The quality of the lamb was slow cooked and fell apart the sauce was thick very deep and beautifully flavoured. Chicken tikka was good. Mint sauce was fabulous. Lovely naan and chapati. Mushroom rice good too. Cannot recommend this enough thank you for making our night.

We wandered into this restaurant without a reservation. This was the best rated Indian restaurant on Google maps in the area. They were kind enough to offer a table in 45 min. I strongly recommend booking a table in advance. This is a genuine South Indian restaurant, not your typical curry house, reflected in the menu and the flavours. We were too hungry to take photos before eating and once you dive in to the food here, can't stop. They have pretty good wine paired with the Indian food and I'd go with their recommendations. They also had a good selection of desserts. I went with my favourite of Pistachio Kulfi and it did not disappoint. Service was a bit slow that day but this was more due to the volume of customers.

Excellent quality South indian food. Plenty of interesting choices for vegetarians and vegans too (and most veggie dishes are available in main or side portion size). Our waiter was very attentive and our waitress was very friendly - she chatted about real topics not just pleasantries. Our only negative comment (which we forgot to mention) is that its not a good idea to put the complementary chocolates on a tray UNDER the hot towels! 😂

Came in here as a group of 12 last Saturday and I have to say it was one of the best 'traditional' Indian meals I have had for a while. Service is both prompt and polite. Food quality and serving size are also excellent. You can tell that the majority of the food is cooked from scratch and the careful balance of spices in all our meals was evident. My sheekh kebab starter was delicious and the home made mint sauce was fresh and sharp. My only issue is that the draught lager was dreadful - it was flat and not the best tasting, so stick to bottled beer. Understandable as to why this restaurant is so highly regarded in Gloucester.

Me and my husband booked Aroma for lunch for the very first time to start off my birthday weekend. And what a pleasant surprise!! We reached a tad bit late and were worried that they might close very soon now. But they were very helpful, made us feel at home, and got the food ready within 10 minutes of our ordering - amazing!! I have tried many Indian restaurants over the past 7 years of my stay here in the UK and I can proudly say that as a couple, Aroma stood on the top of our list. Food was amazing, fresh & piping hot - keema naan was out of the world, murgh bhuna was the best, portions sizes were great (more than I expected) and the best thing is that it is an authentic Indian restaurant. We didn't get much time to try other dishes but I am definitely coming back for more!!

Loved the food here. Got to eat some really tasty Indian food after a long time. Bhel puri, butter chicken masala and a starter that had fish cooked inside a banana leaf was amazing! Having travelled widely at home and overseas to experience Indian cuisine, the Aroma has to be my number 1 restaurant in UK. I took a party of 6 there last Saturday. It was very busy given that Gloucester Rugby had a home game that day (27:14 to Glos) but the service was unflustered and the food excellent in all respects. I have been to the Aroma several times before and I have never come away feeling disappointed. The chef manages to infuse each dish with delicate yet memorable flavours. The lamb starter was cooked to perfection. If you love curry then make a beeline for the Aroma!

I was bred in India. I can truly vouch that this restaurant is an authentic Indian restaurant with the most delicious food. According to me this restaurant is amongst the top 5 Indian restaurants in the UK (amongst all the Indian restaurants that I have visited in the UK so far in the past 15 years). I want to kiss the chefs' hands. This restaurant is particularly close to my heart as it is a South Indian restaurant and I am ethnically a South Indian. This restaurant serves South Indian delicacies like dosa (pancake) on all days except Fridays and Saturdays. Most 'Indian' restaurants in the UK are run by Bangladeshis or Pakistanis. But this restaurant is truly run by Indians.
