Reviews of Lily's Restaurant and Tearoom

Booked a lovely Celebration tea for a friend's birthday and we were really pleased with the entire experience. From the phone booking to settling the bill at the end, it has been a pleasure to deal with friendly, professional members of staff at Lily's Tearoom. All the food was beautifully presented and made of good quality ingrediants with a birthday candle for extra good measure. Looking forward to our next visit.

Fabulous tea room with a delicious choice of food including a daily roast. Had lunch with my mum and daughter. Highly recommend the sundaes. The staff are friendly and welcoming and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Gem of a place tucked away in a alley near the Cathedral.

Lovely tea room surrounded by the spirit of Beatrix Potter ! The scones are very good.

Spotted this a while back and decided to pop round for a coffee and a heavenly slice of their Victoria Sponge. Wonderful little cafe down a picturesque alleyway.

What a wonderful discovery, tucked away in an alleyway leading to the beautiful cathedral. My partner and I decided on the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding . The staff were so nice and the food was really delicious. Alas no room for pudding but the afternoon teas being served looked absolutely delicious .I'm sure we'll be back! 💖

Nadia and her team provided a celebration meal for a event I was holding with some friends from The Netherlands and Sweden. The food absolutely first class, tasty, fresh and using locally sourced ingredients. The service was brilliant and team looked after us from the first to the last minute. Would highly recommend.

A little gem of a place down an alley. Arrived half an hour before they closed but that didn't matter. My daughter and I were made to feel welcome. Even though they had no hot chocolate to make my Mocha, it didn't matter. My daughter ordered the crumpets and I ordered a toasted bagel. There were no crumpets, so they gave my daughter her money back and a bagel instead. Definitely will go there again.

I popped in to Lily's as a last minute decision, to treat my friend to lunch. The quiche we ordered was the best I've ever tasted. Good service, good food, great experience.
