A hidden gem near the motorway! Very low key but amazing food and set-ups. Ground floor was a fish market with food/deli counter, and a curated farm shop. We went to the restaurant on the first floor and it was amazing! The crispy fish skin was addictive. 🐟 The smoked salmon was perfect with avocado, not too salty, nor too fishy, just great quality and perfectly smoked. The smoked eel was ok, not amazed. It came in a bowl with some starchy noodle like ingredients, and tasted well with egg and bacon. 🍞 Both dishes don’t come with any side, so we ordered bread too. It was v good bread, maybe better than the focaccia on the menu. They have car park space at the front. We found it on the Michelin list and would definitely go back again :)

Love this place all-round and have visited a few times. The restaurant is exceptional and the range of seafood options top-quality and regularly updated. Always bring back some fresh fish to the mainland from the fishmongers. Farm shop and cafe also available. Highly recommend.

Advance booking for mid-week lunch is highly recommended. The restaurant was very busy, but the atmosphere, our reception, the service and the food were exemplary. The "small platters" are surprisingly large, so excellent value for money for those who don't eat big meals at midday. Our visit to the shop afterwards was similarly rewarding. The display of frozen and wet fish was big, bright and attractive. We surrendered and bought plenty. A memorable visit.

Restaurant: superb quality, good prices, amazing Taramasalata, lovely professional staff and calm kitchen. Presentation a little sloppy on smoked platter. Cafe: friendly, well priced, lovely cake, flat white v weak..small latte? and red hot saucer?? Fish counter: WOW!!! Friendly and informative/knowledgeable Staff - a Chef's dream. Thank you! The perfect gastro treat for fish lovers. A really classy experience. We had salmon skins (surprisingly: the whole piece not the usually fragments), eel, whitebait, fish of the day (fresh makerel) and the plateer which was basically a fish ploughman's.

We popped in just before closure at 3.50pm and bought about £45 worth of cheese & smoked fish. Lovely assortment of food but the service was a bit snooty. We were pretty efficient at picking and buying so I was surprised by their attitude particularly when they ushered us out the door at 1 minute past 4pm. But the food was delicious!
