S. M.This has got to be one of the best pubs to eat in in Gloucester. The staff are very polite and friendly when you get there - straight away making you feel welcome. The pub itself inside is nice, clean and actually makes you want to stay. The food choice was good and everything was in stock. Ordered at the counter and food came out in a reasonable time and was excellent. Very nice food and everyone was impressed. This is family dining as it should be - many thanks. Even the outside terrace area is a nice touch 👌. There is plenty of dining space outside aswell as inside and ample parking

Bar staff have certainly improved and are a lot more friendly than when a notoriously grumpy Scottish barmaid worked here who frequently ignored customers who were next so she could serve her friends or 'regulars'.
A fair variety of food on offer, although perhaps a more copious Gluten Free Menu could be provided.

Whilst taking an important video call from my neice who'd been in an accident, I was asked to turn it down as so called manager couldn't hear anyone else apart from me. Bearing in mind the pub had loads of other people eating and drinking and basically making far more noise then us. She asked me to quieten down then proceeded to disappear behind the bar. Certainly won't be back

Gets way too loud and busy in the evenings, but I just tend to go during the day or early on a weekend to avoid that.

But what was very apologetic and got someone else to make them and brought them to the table. The food was just average but it is reflected in the price. Overall the pub provides VFM.
