A. G.Gorgeous meal here tonight. G/F fish curry was so tasty with plenty of fish and king prawns as well as rice and chips. The steak was perfectly cooked with all the usual accompaniments. Attentive, friendly staff.

J. H.A brilliant meal absolutely loads of it to be fair. Stepdaughter took half the nachos starter home lol. Massive mega burger and SD and wife said fish & chips was better than the famous brand chipper here. My only thing is they don't really have real ales. They have John Smiths Bitter and Shipwreck IPA and that's it. The interior is very clean and tidy ad were the toilets. Great food, great value. Can't go wrong.

Booked a table for two for Sunday roast. Service was quick and efficient. Food is delicious, and a variety of dishes on offer. Everything was clean, main dining area and toilet's spotlessly clean.
I wouldn't hesitate to visit again, or recommend to anyone.

D. S.Came here with my wife, mother in law and my 2 brother in laws with their respective families to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. First time I've been here and I was well pleased with the service and choice of food. It was quite busy but despite that we received our food quickly. The car park was fairly busy but we managed to park close to the entrance but I didn't see any disabled space. Parking bays were generous and I could get in and out of the car easily.

Seriously though, the food was lovely.. just need for ALL the staff to realise that even though they said they "never say 'guys' normally", you did indeed say that around 25 times.. you all said it. It's disingenuous, unnecessary and a bit unpleasant.

Fish special, now this fish special was a triangle shape tasted like a production line piece of fish like something Ross seafood produce straight of a box not great. The mushy peas were rank worse than school days peas. 9 chips in total yes I counted them. Best thing on the plate was sage and onion pattie.. chocolate brownie for dessert with two teaspoon size blobs of ice cream the brownie it's self well if I shut one and squint with the other it look a fair portion..overall not that impressed..

D. Y.First time visit and was really pleased. We turned up without a booking as it was a last minute decision to stop but they managed to get us a table straight away. As soon as we were seated the waitress came over to take the drinks order. Was told when they took the food order that it may be a while but it really wasn't, the food came in good time and was presented amazingly. I had the carbonara which was really really nice, my mum had the fish pie which she loved and my dad had a steak, which looked so nice too, he was very happy that it was cooked just as he likes it.
It was a really nice and relaxed atmosphere, great food and brilliant service. Will be visiting again :)

A. D.A great experience - food and service absolutely brilliant. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Safety procedures (so important at the moment) were excellent and well explained. The menu is fabulous, with something to suit everyone. Our waitress was exceptional - so polite and helpful throughout. Everything our group ordered brought smiles to our faces and was delicious. All this at such a good price. When I'm visiting the area again it will be a definite return to try something else from the menu. We popped in on a Sunday on the off chance we could squeeze in a lunch, and even though they were fully booked, they still accommodated us. We were able to choose from a full menu (not just roasts) of tasty, home-cooked food.

M. G.Takeaway Sunday lunch. What can I say absolutely lovely. Full breast, stuffing, roast potatoes, broccoli,carrots, cabbage,yorkshire pudding and gravy all in a large foil container. And extra tub of gravy all for £11. No cooking and bare minimum pots to wash. We collect ours from pub but they also deliver. Sorry no photos as was too hungry. 👏👏👏👏

B.We travelled from the west Midlands to visit family in Hull ended up coming here for a family pub meal just the 4 of us a lovely greating at the waiting area fast service food absolutely beautiful my brother had the fish absolutely massive size lovely cooked chips niece had the lovely size of Garmon egg spot on me and my dad had the salmon and prawn fish pie the best fish pie I've ever tasted in my life my dad said the same to lovely chunks of salmon big prawns cooked in a really nice sauce with a lovely chesse topping fresh chunky vegetables the prices really good value I'm really glad we popped in for food....

H.Had a lovely meal, the restaurant was busy so I took the advice of others and booked a table, im glad I did as most tables were taken with parties of four or more people.It was a Friday night so i would advise booking first. The pub is lovely and clean and decorated to a high standard. Lovely fixtures and fittings. The food was delicious, there was a really good choice of starters and main courses. The sweets looked gorgeous as well but could not fit one in. The staff were very polite and friendly. Will definitely be going back again soon.

a. a.Fantastic food, had the pulled pork fajitas which was done gorgeously! Dessert I had the Alabama Fudge Cake with ice-cream, the cake was massive and warmed just a touch so it went down well.
The only down side I found was the staff didn't seem to approach us when we sat down to take our order, so went up to the bar to order at that point they told me to sit down as they will take my order from the table 😐 but all in all a lovely pub and great food all around.

A. L.I like the atmosphere there and great staff. Food is nice, tried different dishes, no compains. If you like to complain about everything in a life you will find negative in any aspect of your life. Deserts might be slightly overpriced. Food cooking time is average, but because they cook fresh, if you don't want to wait more then 10 minutes you need to go where restaurant defrosts meal or takeaways.

a. t.The pub itself was lovely really clean with friendly staff. We ordered two burgers and a Carbonara. The Carbonara was beautiful however the two burgers were dry and the bread buns it came in were hard and also dry.
My daughter was given a colouring book and pencils to keep her busy while we were waiting for our food which I thought was really lovely and a great idea!

**Went back on Sunday the 8th was a different experience, service was shocking!! Having to ask to order is definitely not exceptable. People waiting at the main bar for 20 mins as there was no staff. I was excited to take my husband to try the food. He's wasn't impresed at all.
We won't be back in a hurry again. The manager/owner really needs to pay for more staff or you will start loosening customers. What staff there was, was very nice as of last time I visited.

The most impressive thing here is the friendly and efficient staff, we have always been informed of any extended wait for food at busy times and any items on the menu that have sold out. B. G.We went for tea and we will be going back. I had the pot poached haddock in a tomato parmesan and mozzarella sauce and it was so scupmtuous. The fish almost melted in my mouth. Yum indeed. Husband had the Asian skillet which was also delicious (we tried each other food). Portions were well proportioned and we left feeling full and we will be returning to try something else.

J. P.We went for Sunday lunch on Easter Sunday and although it wasn't a set menu for Easter like most places it suited us as a group. I had the beef Sunday roast and it was cooked to perfection, lovely tender beef and loads of gravy. We also had pudding and the sticky toffee and crunchie cheesecake are wonderful especially! The staff were helpful and conciderate and although it was bank holiday it wasn't full in the restaurant meaning we could still have a chat but there was enough people to create a nice atmosphere. I would thoroughly recommend dinner here.

So i was so dissatisfied when on this day i got half the portion size of the pie, but they still charge you full prize. The manager corrected it, but why did it come to the table like that in the first place? Also the manager blamed the chef, all i know is that it was disappointing.Will think twice before going back and thats a shame as i love their food.
