Lovely atmosphere, there's something from everyone. From pizza, to coffee to a bar, as well as live music. We saw people of all ages enjoying themselves, including parents with babies. Great product selection too! Highly recommended!

Felt like a kid in a sweet shop!! Not been to Hull for 14 years, so very surprised to see some rejuvenation and creativity in the first shop I came across from leaving the station.
Big old department store that has a new lease of life as a food hall, restaurant and bar area, indoors! A great concept, a great use of previous retail space that could have sat empty for years ahead.
Imagine a food festival, but within a shop. Fresh food being prepared, coffee shops, cakes, patisseries and local produce intermingled with bars serving gins, whiskies and real ales.
To be honest, had to pinch myself that I was experiencing such a place in Hull!
Even more mesmerised by the merchandising of the products all lined up and stocked up in fridges and displays, creating a visual artform in itself.
Left the shop wishing it was lunchtime so I could have eaten, or at least spend a few hours more chilling. 4 stars due to not eating here although the food looked brilliant.
I would actually go back to Hull especially for this shop, alone.

Not bad. I think this is an old department store and it's channeling the stripped back, industrial feel. It was a little confusing at first as there's lots of food and drink stands and you order separately at each. Nice to have choice, so my partner went to find food and I went to find coffee. We ordered a fish finger sandwich which was nice quality (fat chunks of fish and a tasty salad, quality bread and plenty of Tartare sauce...) but I have a feeling you pay for that. I didn't ask how much it cost, but I know the side salad itself was £4.
Live music was playing in the building which was a nice feel too. I bet its nice in an evening for events.

The HoH Food Hall was wonderful. Lots of food outlets to choose from. Lots of informal seating areas to meet up with friends. There was live music although it was a little loud to be able to chat with friends easily. Well worth a visit if you are next in Hull.

HoH HoH HoH. Actually this place was alright. From the outside it looks like it thinks it is Hulls answer to F&M, but inside its like a load of hippies have taken over a car park and are selling food for fun. It isn't cheap food, but there's a good selection of independent vendors all seeming to make an effort and taking pride in what they knock out. I really enjoyed my fancy fishfinger sandwich and salad. I sat opposite a lady and watched her eat. She did not seem very keen on a conversation. You get a buzzy buzzer that goes "BZZZZZZZZZZ" and a light flashes when your food is ready, then you pop off and fetch it. I think Id prefer a waiting staff to bring it over a buzzy thing, but thems the breaks if you eat at Hoh Hoh Hoh.

Very nice, stylish concept of eating, drinking, shopping food and relax together. Big trendy hall with different stalls where you can have a tasty cup of coffe, some snacks or glass of wine and listen music. You can stroll between stylish food exhibitions and buy what you like. One star down is because the products are a little bit overpriced in my opinion
J. C.
Love this place. Great atmosphere. Decor fab. Staff friendly. Delicious choice of wines. The deli section is wonderful.
K. S.
Great place for a relaxing meal & drink.
Various places to eat so choice shouldn't be an issue; look out for the offers & specials board.
M. P.
Gorgeous food at HoH this evening especially the ribs at Mr Hugo steakhouse. We will definitely be visiting again.
A. P.
Popped for a few drinks and a meal with friends on Saturday afternoon. The venue was bustling and had live music. Sampled wine by the glass for the winery, local bone machine craft beer from the bar, plus food from the burger joint and smoke house. The burgers (served with amazing fries) are good quality and reasonable value (£8). The smokehouse mix patter was a hit too (ribs, brisket, wings, pulled pork, fries, pit beans - £20). Tried a pizza too, stoned baked with a plenty of topping. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The venue itself is well designed and decorated with an impressive range of food/drink/seating options.

Nice to see Hull have some quality produce for sale, some of the foodstuffs were impressive. Will definitely be back to splurge on a little food shop.
We ate there too and the floor staff like Becky and her team were excellent, cleaning our table with a smile at a busy time, helped make our visit very pleasant.
S. P.
Good vibes, meat and cheese platter. Wine was nice but pricey.

Still finding its feet. It seems like the place needs a little more commitment from its owners/management team. It is a mix of marketplace or table service dining, but with the setup, it just seems to be lacking a thoughtful process (QR code ordering system not working properly)or service. With a little more staff offering table service, this place would nail it. Street food with a dining experience.
Again, on the retail side, When it opened, it was packed with independent products on offer (if not a little pricey considering the... "non-metropolitan" city it is located in), and there was a general buzz. Now, each time I go in, it seems there are fewer and fewer displays and greater areas of empty space. I imagine due to financial strains and other excuses we Brits' love, it has been difficult to maintain revenue. With a bit of a gamble from the owners and a possible short-term loss, this place could offer it all to everyone.
All in all, it is worth several visits to try all the different eateries on offer.
L. W.
It is clearly not finished yet, but it has amazing potential. Just eating some pork gyoza made by a polite person working the kitchen (not sure if he is a chef due to how he is dressed).
The place looks intressting and has a great concept.
S. F.
Amazing experience! Great food, great atmosphere, in the heart of the city! Not to mention how much locally sourced goodness is packed into the old House of Fraiser site. Hangout Artisan Bakehouse delicacies are worth going, just in itself. We tried Mr Hugo for the first time and will surely be back soon! The vinyl bar is also fantastic!! A bartender called Molly served us today and she deserves a raise!

Visited for the first time on a busy Saturday afternoon with friends, had a warm welcome from a security guard who directed me to the stage area to meet my friends. Food was superb we had burgers and pizza, and bottle of red. Young lady was very knowledgeable and helpful as were all the staff. We felt very welcomed, I felt the laid back vibe was just what that area of Hull needs. A great way to spend a few hours on an afternoon/evening.
J. S.
Fab food choices in here! A real treat! Fish place was amazing!

I only visited the coffee bar at the front of HoH Food Hall today, although a glimpse at the product stands showed lots of interesting, indulgent foodstuffs and drink.
The coffee bar was comfortable but not very clean, the service was friendly. The coffee was good, nice flavour and not too weak. The parkin cookies were tasty, the complementary tap water was very warm and in a glass which was probably clean but cloudy with water marks. I would have liked some healthy food options but I know that is not what most people go to coffee bars for.
Next to an urn on the counter side was an open can of Pepsi, implying that staff might eat and drink in the same place they are making and serving drinks. They may have impeccable hand hygiene after sipping, but this is not usual practice in most coffee bars.
There is a variety of soft and hard seating, and many tables were occupied when I visited. Some customers may just have left, all the tables had a little rubbish on them - spilt sugar, tea stains, wrappers etc - and a few crumbs were obvious on every free table and chair that I saw. I sat at a table with two comfy little armchairs, but the table was full height for upright chairs, which was inconvenient and loomed.
Overall I felt that the coffee bar showed a mix of good and bad elements, the worse ones being connected to staffing level and/or training. I will give them another go in a couple weeks to see if the rough edges have been smoothed out.
C. B.
It was an absolutely fantastic place to eat, & the food was amazing!😋There's plenty of different foods to choose from. As well as the different dining areas, they have such a beautiful selection of chocolate, snacks, biscuits & sweets, that you can get. The place is absolutely fabulous, & the staff are very friendly & helpful! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit there.
P.
this is a lovely area for having a drink or a bite to eat very comfy seat, unfortunately very restricted on what you can eat, 2 burgers £26. you can't get tea or coffee after 4.0. it was quite busy but not a lot to offer
M. U.
Ordered a mushroom 🍄 pizza 🍕 and got a plain tomato 🍅 one it wasn't exactly a complex order and then they wanted to clear away the plate before I'd even finished.
J. W.
Love this place, sit where you like and then decide who you want to buy your food and drinks from. It's really useful when your group cannot decide what kind of food to decide on. We went BBQ and pizza, but plenty of other choices too
M.
A great addition to Hulls day/night scene. Really chilled atmosphere with a nice selection of different food choices in a lovely setting. They have really made the most if the old House of Fraser and good to see so many people enjoying the space. Great mix of ages too but would sya it favours the older generation which is perfect for me 😁
I. R.
Great atmosphere when we visited with live music on the stage. Good idea letting you find a table then deciding on your preferred vendor, ordering and getting delivered to your table. Generally good food all round the hall
J. F.
Fantastic place, really fun and spacious, lots of food options to choose from.
K. W.
Been inside this place a few times. The interior is well set out. There is lots of local products stocked but it is what you might say rather expensive. I personally wouldn't buy from there. Didn't try any of the foods on offer but did stop for a drink which was an average price considering the venue. Would recommend as a starting point for an evening out but personally I think it too expensive to spend the whole night in there
L. G.
What a fantastic place! We had such an amazing evening here. Great choice of food and drink, added bonus of live music all evening with many amazing artists. Brilliant and will be back next time we are in the area.
A. R.
Great ambience. Different cuisines but limited options.
p. m.
Relatively new place in Hull, great mix of bars, delicatessens and round the world food. Beer could be more competitively priced but good atmosphere and live music.
J. B.
I love the concept and it looks good. However, I still find it very confusing to work out which shop/ food place is where, how to locate the till for each place etc. The women's toilets do not have hot water. There's just something missing about the experience at present, that I hope improves as the businesses within get more established in the space.
K. B.
The food is good price and worth it and music is good but other stuff is overpriced like u wood get at debinhams at Xmas but more expensive. It was supposed to be a local food hall but hasn't turned out like that. I only go in for the coffee and food which is a shame esp in these Tim es. We need a proper market with stalls selling pies etc like the original pic said
D. D.
It's a nice civilised place to eat, drink and merrily chat with friends
A. M.
Superb! Incredibly stylish and lots of really nice stuff for sale. Great food, coffee and bar areas. Ignore the negative reviews. Yes it's quite expensive but there are loads of cheaper places in Hull if you want that, so there's no point in complaining it's not just like those. Enjoy it and accept it for what it is. Classy....not cheap.
K. G.
A very different experience, during the day it's a shop with different foods from the norm, think it's a bit expensive. But it also has an entertainment venue and a number of food outlets that looked and smelt great didn't get chance to try them. Maybe next time.
M. T. M.
Lots of hype about this place, hope it does well, although a little quite when I called in one afternoon
A. L.
Like the concept and great use of a former department store. Reminds me of the timeout market in Lisbon. Relaxed atmosphere, several good food options to choose from, suitable for both adults and families in the daytime. Would like to see an artisan bread/bakery store there that sells a good variety of artisan bread and maybe a couple more independents with that specialise in authentic international food, e.g Portuguese cafe, Spanish tapas bar, Morrocan, Turkish, Polish cafe etc
M.
Wonderful place to eat and drink, the wine selection and food on offer are spectacular. A great place to go alone or with friends or a significant other.
H.
Surprising place.
Great variety of food, nice boutique style shopping area, casual seating and friendly staff. I had a burger at the Grilla. It was delicious.
A. M.
They've done a great job turning this place into a nice, cosy food hall with plenty of choice and some great entertainment.
I think I'll be eating here ever time I come to Hull.
B. W.
The atmosphere with live music was great there's a wide range of food and drink options and very reasonably priced everyone who worked there was friendly and cheerful a really great addition to Hull
J. W.
We visited here for a Fathers day meal and drink and found it to be a great place to go for a meal and entertainment. There is a diverse choice of food and drinks and really enjoyed it.
l. w.
Stopped by for food and drinks. Great choice of places to eat and plenty of seating available, live music was very good and made a nice change from your normal restaurant setting
J.
Love it , lovely food pizza was amazing!
N. B.
OK food store but an expensive eating establishment for a working city like Hull. The restaurant in the food hall offers for instance, a freshly cooked Angus beef burger at £8.00 with trimmings, along with breakfasts and other delicacies. The store section offers a selection of dry and frozen foods, various wines, coffees and a coffee bar, everything is on the ground floor...
H. P.
Wow what a amazing space. Food was excellent
R. D.
Had a lovely proper Italian style pizza, the dough was excellent, very tasty toppings and it was properly baked in a fantastic looking pizza oven with a copper domed top. Found it all a bit pricey but then I am a tight, Yorkshireman not used to city prices.
J. D.
Great atmosphere....gin and tonics were made to perfection...can't wait to visit again.Shop staff very friendly and informative
A. R.
Ok, some different items there that you can't buy anywhere else except farm shops, delicatessens, some other shops and online. Other than maybe the farm shops the other places are generally cheaper. And that's the problem, if I was in the mood for a nice shortbread bar, I wouldn't go there and spend £1.50 for a little one, I'd go to the supermarket and buy a big pack for the same price. Might not be as good, but would do. It's the kind of place I'd go if I needed something fancy on short notice, but that's it. It's just far too expensive for the current economy, which is a shame as there are some things I'd like to get from there, but £1.50 for something that should be 50p maybe 75p because these are things made by smaller businesses and they are having their issues as well. I'll wait to see if the prices drop (or the price of everything else goes up) or they have a closing down sale. Otherwise it's a nice place, layout or signage could be better as you walk in and can end up stuck in the restaurant area than the shopping area. Still once you know that you can't avoid the crowds of Xmas shoppers hoping for a bargain by going around the central bar then it's no longer an issue. They could do with some opening times as well for those of us who want to get in early while it's quiet, but that's something lacking on the entrance and website and news articles or in this universe in general, maybe it's 24hr.

Loved the place, very stylish, great atmosphere, very tasty pizza and great wine, all 5 bottles 🥴 will be back, all the staff friendly and very knowledgeable. Best place in town if not East Riding by a country mile 👏👏👏👏👏👏
R. S.
Not particularly busy when I went late morning. Food and coffee were good. Nice atmosphere.
T. R.
Disappointing result after spectacular plans. Just reminds me of a Marks and Spencer foodhall. The eateries were all empty, bar a handful of diners, on a busy weekend for Hull.
B. S.
Gorgeous place the food is always top quality drinks are even better the atmosphere is so nice and fitting beautifully decorated and cozy lounge areas and nice dining areas great service and choice of goods if only shopping overall 10/10

Hull's answer to Harrods... potentially 🤷🏼♂️
Not going to lie, was eager to see how Hammonds turned out. And I must say, it certainly brings a somet different to Hull; for quick gifts & a cuppa, this place ain't half bad. Wish we had something like this over in Hudds!!
🚨 Just a suggestion though: DON'T STOP! 🚨
Keep expanding & I truly think you'll be onto a winner. A 2nd floor with handcrafted furniture/ independently made clothes would be great - especially if they're vintage! 🔥 Add an art gallery & heck, you may even be treading on Salts Mill territory!
All I can say is... "Goodbye House Of Fraser - thank God you went bust".
G. H.
Good place for food ,a lot livelier than last visit as it was half term, went with some of family with grandchildren. Food was good, and served pretty swiftly considering the numbers there .
I. C.
Great food every time we come. Not too expensive, and such a good range of foods and drinks. Great atmosphere and staff.
J. M.
Loved this. Had food here at the wine bar. Really great charcuterie board. We need more of these places across the UK in the empty department stores
B. S.
Our family popped in for a coffee mid morning. Quiet, pleasant surroundings, good service & lovely coffee & snacks. Will call again.
C. B.
I really think Hull needs to get behind this, yes there are some minor issues which happens when anything launches.
But I am really thankful for the effort gone into the refurb of an empty building as this is the first thing you see when you get off the train.
In terms of pricing, I think it is expensive for certain items but I have been happy with the quality of the items I have bought.
They seem to planning many music events too which is a great addition to the city.
Unfortunately the attitude in Hull is to see how much they can get out of £1 so HoH may need to revaluate the pricing if they wish to cater for local clientele.
J. A.
Only went in for coffee, which was nice but quite expensive. Extremely quiet, all the stalls were rather expensive. Can't see it lasting very long.
C. R. (.
Went on opening day. Has all the potential of being a great shop but they need to up their game somewhat.
Management were very helpful and the atmosphere was great but as per the other ratings, I have to say that there were a few things not working and some things not priced. Considering this is a Marks & Spencer or Waitrose level of store with some good quality but not budget prices, this should have not been there for the opening. Also I bought a smoothie and apart from 50% the staff not having a clue about how to make the drinks I ordered, the beetroot based detox drink I bought was basically sludge caused by using dry, not juicy enough ingredients. Juicy fruit is essential when running a juice bar. Also the cake bar area had a broken barista machine which again was a shame and affected my desire to return any time soon.
Very poorly trained staff. There were overbearing customers dominating the tester stalls. When you are working on these stalls, the idea is to drive sales by calling over passers-by, not spending 20 minutes with some fatuous bint in her real fur coat who ended up spending just £20 for having 1 on 1 session! Can't see how that's cost effective. We didn't get a look in as we stood and watched - trying to grab the attention of the staff. In fact, almost all the staff were shy and uncomfortable greeting customers.
Ended up buying food from the superior street food vendors outside (delicious!).
I also think management need to start replying to posts on here and TripAdvisor. This is House of HULL. Show the customers you care about their feedback. Invite them in and tell them to ask after you by name and promise you'll make it up to them.
j. l.
On visiting HoH food Hall with my sister to have something to eat we sat in the seating area where the wine bar is on the other side considering what to have on looking around I noticed the lampshades and pipes above us was very dusty so decided not to eat after all, We did report it a couple of times anyway four weeks later and they still haven't been cleaned I wouldn't want that blowing on my food.
p. d.
What an interesting place. Enjoyed coffee and relaxing in the cafe area. Planning to return for an alcoholic drink!
A. G.
It was a bit of a faff as we had to go to two different places for food & a third for drinks. The food was really nice thoygh
L. F.
Great venue, had the pizza's again and no complaints. The food, vibe and location is an absolute winner.
G. W.
Came here for drinks, okay atmosphere very pricey for drinks! Over 30 pound for 3 vodkas and 2 gins!
C. P.
Visited on a Saturday night and I loved the atmosphere, live music and a great crowd of people enjoying drinks and food.
K. H.

A. P.
Drinks only but, great lovely atmosphere. Live music!
E. C.
Very disappointed with the place now various businesses that started up have left leaving big areas empty. The coffee was OK though.
K. T.
First visit today ,really impressed definitely going back
C. B.
Pizza was OK, not exactly Napoli but better than pizza hut.. but pricey considering though
c. w.
Food choice and quality were excellent. The drinks were very expensive, too expensive
D. H.
I really enjoyed paying a visit on a rainy December afternoon. Only the ground floor is in use and it has been decorated beautifully, I loved the whole arrangement. Yes it might be slightly pricy but the place would not look out of place in the centre of London and Hull needs something like this. Coffee, food, cocktails available and I bought some great chutneys, biscuits and mince pies, definitely worth a visit!
P. H.
Just created a hamper for my folks, staff friendly and helpful. Range of Deli packet and jar goods excellent. Also has fresh fruit and meats / fish. Will be back
L. P.
Pleasant place to pop in for a drink, good service, good music and the food did look appetising. Will visit again.
D. W.
Great meeting place everything under one roof. We keep coming back.
d.
Great experience loveley food good atmosphere would recommend
R. H.
Lots of places to sit. Lots of food choice. Nice change from the usual pubs
P. M.
Just visited the food court for some gift ideas . The variety of goods much better at Christmas time
a. m.
It's interesting. Contains loads of authentic products for sale. The most of the perimeter is reserved for the bars and restaurants area, and the central area contains products for sale, so such planning of the area creates an interesting symbiosis of the place, makes it buzzing
A. B.
Spent a leisurely Sunday afternoon here. Great vibe, will definitely come back to sample food outlets.
K. P.
Didn't have anything to eat in here but enjoyed a few drinks very present atmosphere
T.
I wasn't sure about this place until I stopped for a few hours and some beers. Good atmosphere. Loved it.

Lovely atmosphere, Great Staff... and Excellent Coffee
K. M.
A really great addition to the city! The burgers and cocktails are delicious, and there's lots of choice in the farm shop.

It's a bit confusing at first with stalls, bars and cafés all crammed together but once you get your bearings there are some interesting foods and drinks
P. H.
Nice burger from Grilla Burger, one of the tastiest burgers on Hull! Shame they forgot our bacon and my wife's chicken burger was cold...

It's a beautiful place, but....half of it was closed off when we went in about 18:00 on a Thursday, unknown reason. The restaurant bits look nice...but it's confusing that there are about 5, all on the same menu, but at least one of those (pizza place) isn't clearly labelled. I'm sure the pizzas were delicious, but as far as I could tell there was noone else waiting and yet we were still told our single pizza would be an "at least" 45 minute wait...so we left and ate elsewhere. Maybe next time!
