I ordered 17 fish and chips for a family party and 2 kids meals. The owner was amazing sorting all the order out for us. Everyone loved the quality and taste of the meal and such a large amount… they have all said they will use the shop as it was the best fish and chips they had ever tasted. Ordered from here last year for my mums party and was so impressed we did again this year! We preordered the food and it was all ready and waiting for us when we arrived. It was a massive order of 17 fish and chips with sides and kids meals. All the order was correct and all still hot, everything was packed perfectly, not one spillage over the drive home. I couldn’t speak more highly of this establishment, so much more than just a fish shop, full of kind hardworking people and owned by the most generous owner who goes above and beyond for his customers and staff. If you’re ever in doubt of where to go for your fish and chips, look no further, you’ll not be disappointed!! Thanks again King fisher, you’ll definitely be seeing us again soon :)

The quality of the fish is usually good, with good portion sizes. The only downside is that it's more expensive that other chip shops in the area. The staff are always helpful and welcoming and in general it's a clean, tidy and 'quick' chip shop.

Without doubt the best fish and chip shop in Hull anywhere, they have won this award numerous times, the quality of the food is outstanding it is always fresh and very hot what and extremely tasty the chef is extremely proud of the quality of his food and the girls who serve you are very fast you literally once you've placed your order , with in a minute it is is being dealt with wrapped up and handed to you I've never seen service this fast ever, I have been back numerous times and every time it's consistently high quality, I have tried all of the fish and chip shops in Hull being a delivery driver, I am always in different areas of Hull by fish and chips from many different outlets. Kingfisher Endike Lane, is without doubt the best quality fish and chip shop anywhere in Hull, even basics like chips very tasty, the larger fish is is the best thing that they sell it as outstanding, one of my favourites is the special spam chips and mushy peas, the chef even cuts is on spam fritters twice as thick as anywhere else, these are delicious on the tray with salt and vinegar and ketchup, I am getting hungry just thinking about this review. If you do not believe me how good the quality is then please feel free to try it out, I guarantee once you go there you will never go to any other chip shop again, another thing I've just remembered the drinks really icy cold they even have Ben Shaw's, This place is outstanding!

So, I ordered on Just Eats but I wanted to leave a review on here so everyone knows about how great your food is. I'll start by saying I've probably eaten 500+ fish and chip meals across the UK. I used to work on PR and marketing for a chippy that came first in the National Fish and Chip Awards, so I like to think I know a thing or two about good fish and chip shops. I know how poorly fish and chips usually travels, usually because of what it's sent in, so wasn't expecting much in terms of quality after ordering from Just Eat. Thankfully, Kingfisher is using some of the most expensive packaging products available in catering for its fish and chips, ensuring it doesn't turn up sweaty or cold. Fish was freshly cooked, the large portion of fries I ordered was HUGE, and the spam and sausage I ordered along with gravy were all excellent. I only used to eat at one fish and chip shop in Hull (Funky Fish – also excellent due to its MSC certified fish and high quality) but I'll be adding Kingfisher to my list. Thanks for showing fish and chips the respect it deserves.

Fantastic quality and lovely staff. Great portions, the quality of the fish is amazing, never had a bad or poor quality piece of Haddock from this shop. Always hot and fresh and you always get a thank you and a smile from the people behind the counter. Best Chippy in Hull.

Absolutely fantastic First time using this fish shop as they are not situated near me and they don't deliver to my area. That is until now. I have heard many good reviews on line but I can honestly say it was absolutely fantastic/out of this world. First time we have eaten the batter off any fish ever. The fish was glorious .You could tell it was fresh so white and flaky and chips were gorgeous and mushy peas also. Very generous portions and very reasonable price. Absolutely impressed and will be recommending to friends and family. Also very happy that they now deliver to my area.

I tried this fine establishment for the very first time today and I'll tell you what, I dined like a true king. The fish was as fresh as it could be. I ordered a regular fish and chips, the size of it was like an extra large and the chips were given in very kind quantities. I would like to send my personal thanks to Kingfisher Fish and Chips shop today for putting the biggest smile on my face ever! It all started with a simple chit chat with a bog standard order of fish and chips (That tasted amazing). Anyway after a short period I started talking about my previous history in the Royal Navy and the fact I was medically discharged recently. Anyway as a gesture of thanks for my service, the manager offered me some additional food for me for free and some drinks too! I couldn't believe it! I was literally blown away with their kindness in recondition for my service, I am truly honored and so very grateful for this kind gift! Thanks again Kingfisher! Best fish in chips in hull by far and I’ve sampled nearly all of them. The portion sizes are huge, it’s cheap as chips (pun intended) and all tastes amazing. I recommend anything battered! The polite, presentable and overall lovely staff are a blessing on Endike lane and can brighten anyone’s day! Keep up the amazing work.

Portions are amazing, I'd be surprised if you can finish it all in one go! Staff are friendly and ready to help. The place is regularly cleaned with good hygiene. The prices are very good, a large haddock and chips is only £5.20, worth the money. Quality of the chips are good, not greasy, moist thick fish. Very good, will be going here again!

Came here today for tea, ordered kids sausage, chips and gravy and a fish and chip special with mushy pea’s. As my fish was being placed on the chips I asked if it was skinned and was told that no it wasn’t but if I didn’t mind waiting 5 minutes they would prepare me a fresh one that was skinned and I could keep the other too. So ended up going home with 2 massive fish and chips, peas and kids sausage and chips with gravy all for less than £8. Great service, great tasting food and large portions all for a fantastic price. Would highly recomend and will definitely be coming back! A++++

Visited Kingfisher for the first time today and what a positive surprise 😲 As soon as you entre the premises it surprises how clean and bright the place is, (rest of the fish & chips shop, watch and learn). Even the recyclable ♻ bag and the whole packaging of the food is miles ahead, and a lovely extra touch of attention to detail. The owner, Aris, is so welcoming, as are the rest of the staff. The food is one of the best in town! Actually, best fish and chips we had for ages! Don't think twice, visit the place and you won't regret it! 👍👍👍

It's my number 1 chippy in Hull. I go to different places every now and then just to compare but end up coming back to them. I just hope they replace the paper wrapping with boxes so you can have your meal in it when you get home and chips don't get lumpy

Seemingly very professional and it appeared to be family run, I might be wrong. The large haddock was indeed large and the quality is probably one of the best I've had in quite a while. It's understandable that the place has won an award this year from The Hull Daily Mail.

Go to for my chunky chips. Found it hard to find a place that does chunky chips as a student but lo and behold. Ain’t God good? Would give all 5 if it did cod, but there seems to be a lack of that in Hull so 🤷🏽‍♀️ also the salt and vinegar seems light no matter how much is added, it seems to be non existent by the time i get home

It never fails to amaze me, the fish and chips from this great place are still as good if not better the more we visit, back in the weekly routine of the 4 mile round trip from home, quantity is massive and the taste is great, solid white fish flakes, no mush, and the other lines we have sampled have been equally good, the staff are really friendly and the owner is always welcoming.
