5 star for food- very generous portions and very tasty food. Service was very good and staff very friendly and helpful. The only downside was a very poor facilities- toilets would definitely need some TLC.

The restaurant has an old school feel to it, which I loved in the era of Instagram places. It was my first time having Kurdish food and it was super tasty, serving was generous. So in my opinion order carefully. Delicious appetisers were served, I liked the lentil soup. Biryani, chicken , sheesh very savoury, they weren’t spicy but flavourful. The spinach soup was too sour for my taste but my partner liked it. The server was a kind lady and kept checking if we were happy with our food.

It's great place for eat. Very big choice of different foods. Soup it's free, you can eat before a waiting your food. It's not expensive. For 10 pounds it's more than enough. Not all people can finish what ordered. Just the one minuses: inadequate service. But food is really good.

Friendly staff, really delicious food. Nice Kurdish decorations. They have lots of options in the menu, more than 30 I guess! The amount of food they serve is too much! Ask for half of a meal. The Kurdish tea was a bit strong for me, but give it a try. The best thing for me was the bread (naan) which reminded me of my childhood! Highly recommended.

14/03/19 This place is amazing ! Helpful , interactive and friendly staff ! Takeaway section seemed non stop busy ( locals must like this place ). Food was great and prices were the best I’ve seen ! ( check out our pics, you will understand ) . I would most certainly return and recommend to others . Must give it a try . Halal . Only issue i had was the meats were slightly warm coming out , slight mishap and not hard to sort out and pretty sure it wont happen again . 👍 👏 🙏🏼 . Will come back if im ever here again ! Thanks, free parking around the back , pay to park infront of the store .. enjoy 😊

Well from the outside it might not seem that good, however, the food is fabulous. Inside is cafe tables & chairs with traditional Kurdish rugs and mats on the wall. 3 large tv's showing sport & other programs. No volume so as not to distract from the meal as its quite small inside. The food portions are just massive. We had complimentary lamb soup with our mains, I had mixed kebabs & wife had a half portion of chicken tikka kebabs. Both came with sslad and three lavas breads. Plus we had a side of humous. 2 small bottles of water were delivered as well and the whole lot cost less than £20. We were stuffed. Polite young man serving us who checked that everything was ok. You can get uneaten food boxed up to take home. Highly recommend this traditional Kurdish restaurant.

Delivery was on time. Takeaway quality was poor. Biryani is not biryani, curries are watery and lack the complexity of spice one expects from kurdish cuisine. The portion sizes are huge. This restaurant would really benefit from not giving away a variety of extras and focus on the main dish. There is no reason to offer a free potato dish, a free spinach dish, a free lentil dish and 2 free naan if the main meal is of poor quality. Reduce the scope and invest in the mains.

The restaurant itself is quite clean and the food is very nice but it’s quite hard to order what you want as barely any of the staff speak English. Most of the chairs are Brocken as shown in the picture

We took a walk here as it's not too far from the city centre. We went for lunch so it wasn't too busy. They are very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and the portions very generous. First time here tonight and it won't be the last! Restaurant is quite small and basic although there is a room upstairs didn't see what it was like. Menu had loads to choose from when the food came the portions were huge! There were 4 of us and the table was crammed with plates/dishes. Every mouthful was delicious. They don't sell alcohol but give you complimentary water and tea. Overall this was a great place and with the bill totalling £41 for 4 of us it was unbelievable!

Amazing Middle Eastern food, and plenty of it, at an incredible price. You get a choice of lentil or meat soup to start with, a main course, 2 curry accompaniments, bottle of water, 2 naan breads, a fresh side salad and Kurdish tea to finish with for between £8 and £12. You can also order a desert if you are not feeling stuffed from your meal. Mohammad, the owner, is always in traditional dress and is very hospitable. We have been coming here since it opened and Mohammad has continued to improve the menus and surrounds. You need to be aware that no alcohol is served and you cannot bring your own either. This is a functional diner. It's not quite for socialising although no one would stop you from doing so. It's for you and your company to get a damn good meal as a primary concern. As for the staff, they are amazingly quick, efficient and helpful. It is so popular that the owner opened a sister restaurant across the road. It has a different.atmosphere that may appeal more to some but the food remains just as good. Highly recommended 😀

The best middle eastern restaurant in Hull. Very delicious food served by very friendly members of staff. The restaurant is clean, cozy and suitable for families to visit. The atmosphere is very authentic and genuine and makes you feel you really are in Kurdistan and you're trying the most delicious food on earth. The food is served generously, plentiful in amount, fresh and made high quality ingredients though with a very reasonable price. It's highly recommended to visit this restaurant if you are in Hull. This place is a real find. Authentic and unimposing, it's much more of a cafe than a restaurant. All previous reviews are absolutely accurate about not needing to order too much because of the amount of food you get as part of your meal, plus the price includes flat bread and bottled water for most of the set menus (£8-£12). Two people can stuff their faces here for £20, as we proved on Saturday night. Definitely worth a walk out of town to try this place.

When you walk in there are two counters full of food that sets the scene for a great meal. Every food order has complimentary meat or vegetable soup, make sure you try the soups as they are always tasty. Bottles of water side salad and bread appear alongside your actual order. I had the shish kebab today, real meat that is well cooked and far removed from cheap donner kebabs. We both thought the environment and food was just right. The staff were friendly and efficient. Top marks for fresh food and good quality meat. Extra marks for the slick setup and authentic feel. Im left wondering when I can go back?

A family favourite for a number of years now, actually, since it opened. The food is amazing, flavoursome and very, very affordable. Although the prices have risen steadily over the years to keep up with inflation, they are still amazingly affordable for the food we get. There are three restaurants on the same street serving similar food, the Kurdistan Kitchen is more like a fast food outlet specialising in lamb and chicken shawarma at an incredibly cheap price. The only thing customers need to be aware of is the absence of alcohol on the menu, which is understandable! But that does not spoil the wating experience.
