N.It’s a surprise to me to find an authentic South Indian restaurant in Hull. We ordered Hot & Sour Mutton soup, Rasam Vadai, Masala Vadai, Chettinad Chicken curry, veg biryani, parotha and chapati. Every dish was purely authentic. No fusion at all. We loved every bite of the food. Never had such good veg biryani in UK yet. Rasam & soup.. omg you can tell it that everything was cooked and served in-house. Service was also good. Friendly staff. It’s a complete value for money. Do visit.
A. A.Absolutely fantastic! We went as a party of 8 Christmas eve, the food was exceptional and very tasty. The staff went above and beyond to explain the dishes and was even able to cater for gluten intolerant guest. The service was relaxed and made you feel very comfortable. We will definitely be working our way through all of the menu and would definitely recommend this lovely little restaurant to our friends and family. Thank you once again for a memorable night 😊

Lovely decor nice atmosphere, Very helpful staff especially with the menu as we werent sure what to get . Food came quickly which was delicious and hot. Staff are attentive without bothering you too much. we will definitely be going back to work our way through the lovely menu! If the service we recieved is like that all the time the restaurant will do well!
l. l.Went here last night for a friends birthday. At first menu was bit confusing but was soon explained by J. Food was excellent and the nan breads are fabulous. Definitely worth a visit. Great night with a dance at the end for my friends birthday

We dine’d in but nearly had a Delivery! Pop’Dom is “THE” #1 place to go when expecting… Their beautiful specially made curry brought on my labours so much so I didn’t manage to make it out the restaurant!
The staff were extremely kind and courteous during this stressful time and will forever be a story to tell!
Couldn’t recommend enough, beautiful fresh food with family atmosphere.. VERY friendly 5* hospitality!
Can’t wait to go back to try more of their delicious menu and re- order their DOSA!

m. t.First visit to this great little restaurant. Staff were really attentive and even gave us some extra dishes to try out as we weren't overly familiar with Sri Lankan cuisine. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced - less than £25 per head and this included a bottle of wine and 3 pints. Will definitely be back
K. G.One of the best south Indian restaurants in the hull town. To taste the real south Indian and srilankan food this popdom is the best one to go... serving was good. All the dishes I tasted was delicious and amazing. Quantity is compromised. Worth the money.

C. S.It was a little bit tricky booking a table, but on arrival we were sufficiently early as to have the place to ourselves, which for this part of town was a bit odd on a Friday night. Atmosphere definitely cool, both actually and metaphorically - we kept our coats on. Service was polite, but the wine prices had been covered on the menu, which I'm not sure is legal. The food is very good, especially the south Indian and Sri Lankan menu. Prices overall are good value for money.

The food was amazing as they do some dishes I haven’t seen at other restaurants, the service was excellent and the whole restaurant environment was fantastic. 5* I will definitely be back soon.

r. “. c.Went to princes ave in search of food and decided on this place. Very quiet inside but it was a Monday night. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive, even helping with dish selection when we struggled to decide. Starters we went for were meat samosa (very nice) onion bhaji (awesome) and wifey had a dish with fried cashew nuts...not my cup of tea but wifey polished it off. Neither of us could decide what to have for our main dish so asked our waitress who recommended chettinad chicken for me and chettinad prawn for wifey. Wifey orders egg fried rice to my pilau and I instantly regretted not getting the same. Chappati to soak up the sauce and poppadoms and chutney were complimentary because we both ordered a beer (cobra). The Sri lankan style curry quickly became my new favourite curry. Perfect amount of heat for my palate and nice thick flavoursome sauce. All out plates were empty at the end! Overall experience was awesome and we can't wait to return to try out some of the other dishes.
G. T.Don't be put off by the plastic decor; this place has a great varied and different menu from the usual Indian restaurant. Lots of veggie dishes and a delicious fish curry accompanied by whatever lassi drink appeals. And a wide variety of dosas, something I haven't seen in Hull before. It's well worth a visit but be hungry!
M. A.We had an amazing thali lunch. The service was friendly and prompt. Was a bit disappointed at the beginning when we were told that we couldn’t chose from the extensive main menu and had to chose from the lunch Thali. In the end I was more than happy that was the case as the food was out of this world. The flavours are authentic and they are all well presented.

Highly recommend the Devil Chicken; hot, flavourful, with a suitable sweetness. Staff seemed nice. Whenever I'm back in Hull I'll be returning here.

When I been to this restaurant, they served all the Indian food and the taste was damn good and the spicyness made me to feel I was in my home country.
