Probably, I say ... probably one of the most authentic and best Japanese food takeaways in the country. It's in an unexpected location next to Hull University. The service is quiet, polite and caring. We always order online and the food has never once, not been ready for collection at the selected time. It's not the cheapest takeaway, but sushi never is ... but it is one of the very best. 5* Food, created by a 5* chef for a 5* takeaway experience. If you have never tried sushi before, this would be THE place for your first expereince, you'll never look back. Order online, collect on time, eat ... simple and joyous.

I was disappointed that it was closed when we went there Saturday 22nd Jan, no clear indication as to why, but we ordered just eat from the car instead and picked up. The sushi is beautifully presented, and tasty. Orders the meal options.

Good quality Japanese food & price is not too bad at all. Big & spacious inside. Staff are friendly. Highly recommended are Japanese Ramen in Miso soup (Special), salmon sashimi that just melts in your mouth like chocolate! Free parking on the road side after 6pm!

Thursday night, we were the only customers, but this was great as I don't like eating in busy places. The food was delicious. Sushi tasted fresh and the gyoza was light and tasty. The sake was delicious, and they were nice enough to let us try before we bought it.

Had a lovely meal here and have also had the takeaway twice. The takeaway is presented as lovely as it is in the restaurant. The food is delicious ! Couldn't recommend the place more. Going to be going in with our children next time and also for our anniversary and my 30th! Very lovely staff too. The strawberry cheesecake ice cream mochi is something you must try! Amazing!

Good delivery time, arrived early. Portions are a good size but its not clear which dishes come with rice and which don't. So might be best to call to confirm, staff are really helpful with any questions. All in all its a good take away night in, a bit more costly than the usual but the food is worth it. Can't wait for it to be back open to sit in

The food is amazing. You cant sit in yet so it's worth ordering through the site or Just Eat but it's definitely worth ordering. The portion size is generous and well worth the money. This has just become one of my favourite places to eat

I enjoy the food from Hull Sashimi, its always gorgeous however the service last night was shocking. I pre ordered for delivery at 8pm, it arrived closer to 10pm, don't take pre orders if you won't deliver them on time, or maybe turn off other orders until you're caught up, that's what we have always done in restaurants I've worked in. Numerous customers received food over 1.5 to 2 hours late last night despite preordering. I know it was a busy night but its just not good enough order management.

Been meaning to try for a year. miss sush,i was unsure if Hull could finally deliver. oh my word I was not disappointed. Collected platter f, even as a feast it could have fed 3 or 4. That's about £10 each. Magic exciting. Cant wait to order another platter service exemplary thank you delivered some much needed magic xxx

We really like Sashimi. It's normally not too crowded, the service is good, there is lots of space and the food is really fresh and tastes great. We've been all around Japan and this is very authentic. If you're not interested in raw fish there are ample other options and veggie alternatives too. The only unusual thing is the rolling Asian music videos on the TV, but definitely worth a visit.

Sashimi is one of those little gems, move too fast and you will miss it. But if you take some time to find it and if you are a true lover of sushi this is the place for you. The food is brilliant and the staff are so polite. They have their own sushi train and a large menu that has something for everyone. Everytime my friends and I go we over order, just because everything is so tasty and we have never left dissapointed. So give this place a go you won't regret it.

Food: Ordered a main and had several plates of rotating sushi. Was all good eats. Service: Wasn't waiting long but the staff are evidently very inexperienced and clumsy. Value: Excellent if you're a cheap eater, mountainous if you want the luxury meals and drinks. All in all, it depends on what you're after but I would say just be discreet and you'll have a good time. Atmosphere: Mostly good, though it feels strangely empty with parts of the restaurant being flat and unoccupied! Leaving a 5/5 for strictly the food and value. You can definitely tell Sashimi is a new restaurant but they deserve a chance to grow. Hopefully they will develop over time so give them a shot and you may be surprised!

Had a wide range of sushi as well as hot dishes. Everything was fresh and the portions were a good size and were worth the money. The customer service was polite, and quick and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. Strongly recommend and good value for money.

I don't care how expensive this place is, Hull finally has a sushi place worth visiting! The salmon melted in my mouth and the plum wine was lovely. The service was really friendly and the décor was modern. It's a shame that it was so quiet, they deserve loads more business.

I was very sceptical about trying the California Chicken, but boy was I surprised. Amazing quality meets: tender and well marinated. Specifically the prawns; best prawns I've eaten. Very friendly staff and reletively quick service. Food served at different times, but my Chinese girlfriend explained that's how they serve it in countries like Japan and China. No problems there.

Booked a table for a birthday, the night we ate here was not busy which suited us. The food was really nice and good size portion's. The staff here were supper friendly and nothing was to much trouble, every time they came to the table they entertained my youngest.

Amazing sushi, however not very busy and the music/tv choices are weird. I've never ate sushi whilst watching Shrek and listening to the top hits of the 90's before I came here. Staff are very friendly and portion sizes are decent.

Really enjoyed the food and the staff was lovely. Only negative was when I ordered tap water and could see the waitress getting it from the water cooler at the back of the room and bringing plastic cups. Apart from this I Will definitely come back and recommend!
