S.My friend and I had a lovely afternoon lunch here. The lady who greeted us was very welcoming and to add to that she was very friendly & helpful which made the experience great! The food was exceptional and drinks were also good too!

M. P.Late lunch 5th Jan 2022. Place was well heated and seating comfy. Menu appeared quite extensive which was a pleasant surprise, we opted for the haddock loin and a belly pork dish, both dishes were lovely and the pork in particular a very generous portion. Staff member who appeared to be on her own very pleasant. Would highly recommend

BUT the owner really needs to sort out the ridiculous drinks prices, charges £510 for a lager sandy ,same as the premium lager and a London price ,when i asked the manager an attitude developed were he stated we just charge the same as the beer, even though is was like 90% lemonade and had to add beer to flavour, it spoils the experience, and leaves a bitter taste to be ridiculed as if the customer is the enemy, basically do a costing and advertise the price, or this will persist. i do read your rating and a lot of customers are not happy with your drinks prices.
at the end of the day its to help advise. and will definitely think about were we plan to eat and visit next time.

Only downside is we had a long wait for the food (almost an hour) and this isn't the first time it's been an issue. Also, one of the ladies loos has a broken lock. As there's only 2 loos I would hope this gets seen to quickly.

T. S.I've always liked the look and feel of the place. There's a limited but all encompassing menu and the bar offers your bog standard beers, wines and spirits. Staff have always been quite approachable and service is usually swift. It's hard to complain about the place but there's nothing particularly distinct about it either.

The Beers and wine were good with a decent choice of both and the food was delicious again plenty of choice with smaller meals for those who just want a snack. I would recommend Sleepers for all age groups and we will be going back very soon.

E.went there today with friends and it was a long wait for our good even though the place was quite empty. once the food arrived it was really tasty. the other point I would like to make us they charged my friend £5 for a bottle of cider which normally only costed 3.50 else Where all because she used her contact card, it was explained that the owner gets charged for anything under £5 so the customers are paying it instead. we would av left a tip as the food was good which would av been more than £1.50.

H.I've been a regular customer here for over 10 years food is cooked fresh for each customer so you may have a short wait but its well worth it food is fresh and cooked to perfection every time I have my favourites that have been on the menu for years, such as their peppered chicken, strips of succulent chicken in a peppercorn sauce with rice and thick chips its real comfort food and never disappoints. Another is lime chilli chicken in a jacket potato, its a light meal the lime chilli sauce is fresh not too spicy just a hint of warmth just the thing on a cold day, not sure but I think they do an upgraded version with a larger portion of chicken in this delicious lime & chilli sauce, I'm not the most adventurous in my food choices but my friends are and they have had some amazing meals there, portions are generous with great care to cook and present them to perfection, a good variety of drinks are available, they also do deserts but I've rarely had desert as I'm usually satisfied after my main course, but I did go in with a neighbour for coffee and we had cake with our coffees, I had a cheesecake, again a generous portion which was light and creamy, it was heavenly. I'm sure that no matter what you choose it will be cooked and served to perfection they always ask if everything is to your satisfaction, they want you to enjoy your meal so you'll come back again! They have another branch in Beverley, I was concerned it might not be as good I ordered my usual lime chilli chicken, its was just the same so despite being cooked by a different chef it was still to the same standard so satisfaction is guaranteed!
A. C.We have been visiting Sleepers bar for some time now and have never been disappointed with the service, food or pricing. The staff are really friendly helpful and nothing is too much for them. The menu has a very good choice and is always very tasty with portion sizes on the plus side. We have also tried their other bar in Beverley and this is as good. I will continue to use this establishment for some time to come if their standard remains as good as it is now.
T. G.Good food in a pleasant, modern environment. It caters to a mixed crowd. Small but sufficient selection of drinks. Staff are friendly. One negative is that they insist on keeping a bank card behind the bar unless you pay in advance. Not ideal if you are planning to have a meal and a few drinks.

The portion sizes are large and it makes it a great place to eat and drink. Can be really busy so would recommend prebooking a table. Been to both Newland avenue and Beverley and both gave great service and food was a great standard.

M.Yet again a gorgeous meal at sleepers. I am following a veggie low carb diet , which I struggle for choices at some places, however not here. Had the falafel with a unusual mixed salad (which I loved) and quinoa, hummus and pitta bread (which I didn't eat) . Was absolutely lovely , no wonder this is my fave place to eat. 😁
l. w.The whole exsperince was a let down. It started off poor and evidently ended poor. Stood around waiting for our pre booked table which then made the staff rush the family on that table. The main; pulled pork and bacon burger, was above average and delight to eat. Ending the day we ordered a carrot cake which was rock hard and not a delight to eat. Service was not great either. I would eat here again just for the burger but nothing else.
