M. O.I have brought my family here many many times. We are not drinkers but we love the food here, i honestly believe it cannot be beaten, just amazing cooked to perfection hot or sizzling and plenty of it. The menu is typical of most pubs and the prices the same but I visit here for the place, having the best staff with the best welcome and the biggest smiles what else can I say? There is a good sized carpark and as with any bar/pub there is a large range of both alcoholic and none alcoholic beverages add that to the great food menu and large seating areas (both indoors and out) wheelchair accessible and good clean facilities the Hop Pole is a great place to visit. Family orientated too and I've never heard any rough language or witnessed any rough behaviour I say this is the place for any family to enjoy some some great family time and also for anyone who just likes to have a nice time with a nice drink and a good meal. Enjoy :)

For people still worried about the virus we noticed tables were close and people had to squeeze past them . That's why we ordered at the table. For first time eating out in a pub since march 2020 it was a bit worrying .
Maybe we choose a busy night as football as on so lots standing round.
Had booked a table on the Wednesday for the Sunday but when we arrived a table had not been reserved however we were fortunate to be given a table at the time we requested

E.The the main meal I had yesterday was excellent, I ordered the "Dirty Burger" which was a 6oz beef burger topped with pulled beef, American cheese sauce and crispy onion pieces, after I had ordered I was told that the kitchen had run out of pulled beef and would it be all right to use pulled pork instead, I can't say if it would have made much of a difference, but the burger was superb cooked to perfection and just straight up filthy. To accompany the burger I ordered the sweet potato fries and opted to have them topped with pulled pork and American cheese sauce it was a decision well made as they were amazing. After that I decided to have a dessert I initially order the baked cheesecake (an Eli's branded one I'd eaten before) but I was told a while later that it was unavailable so I and changed it for a key lime pie, after waiting nearly 30 minutes for the dessert to come (apparently the chefs hadn't seen the check come into the kitchen whilst cleaning down) it was most disappointing, instead of being topped with Cadbury chocolate pieces it came with Oreo biscuit pieces and an unsweetened cream. Overall a good meal just slightly marred by the disappointing desserts. Jade the bar staff who served me was very helpful, pleasant and couldn't be anymore apologetic.

D. H.Our 6 monthly kirk ella pub with the Hop pole involved. Very busy but it is Friday afternoon. Everything fine the only downside for us is that the disabled toilet does not have have the grab bars in the right place. Always worth a visit but but be careful if you are in a wheelchair.

P. P.We recieved excellent service throughout our visit, the food was fairly typical gastropub food and reasonably priced. The one downside was the amount of plastic pots that came with the fajitas, they were single use and completely unnecessary. Same goes for the straws in the soft drinks, would like to be asked if required.

A. B.Laid back atmosphere, well priced food with an even better taste (especially the burgers, best around)! They have live bands at an average of a couple of times a month which is good local entertainment, a rare find around here at the moment. There is a large beer garden and people are drawn here for the cheaper ale compared to their competitors, but for me that's just a good bonus! Another rare thing me and my pal discussed and an often missed key point that on a weekend the landlady doesn't rush you off and I have not seen her trying to take the drink out of anyone's hand at say midnight, so you can finish off without pressure making you feel more valued than your average gaff! Noting there's always a fair few still in after I've left haha!

We went on my wife Birthday, it was only ten o clock and my wife was humming and rrrrring about breakfast and I said what time do you start meals we'll come back, she said we can do meals now, great I said so we ordered. Went in another when the landlady wasn't there at 10.30 and tried ordering two meals, the girls on the till asked the chef can they have two meal, he said no they have to come back at 11.30.
