E.Venue was really clean and the staff were really nice and polite, I would recommend booking a table as it was quite busy and we had to come back around 30 mins later as we hadn't booked a table.
Food was good, the main meals and starters seemed a little overpriced for what you got but the quality was good.
The children's three course meal was good and very good value for money and the deserts were great.
Good selection of options for vegans and vegetarians without the usual boring options which was good.
T. 3.Lovely afternoon spent catching up with a friend over lunch. Fish and chips and several pots of tea ! Great service friendly polite and helpful staff. Food excellent.
P.Me and my daughter went for lunch here. Had the lunch menu 2 courses for£8.95, which was good value. The food was pretty average but the service was good and friendly. Free refills on drinks are also good as We spent several hours here. For a friendly place and average food this is the place to go.

K. K. (.Since moving to kingswood we have been here a dozen times and have been happy with the food every time. It is one of the few places a trust to cook me a steak as they seem to always get it spot on. Every server we have had has always been super friendly and attentive and it is one of our favourite restaurants
K. W.Lovely clean place although not many people inside. Didn't eat on this occasion as we just went for drinks. Staff were friendly enough although I did feel that they were a little too eager to get us out at the end if the night considering it wasn't quite 11pm.

J. H.Overall a pretty good pub. Not a great selection of ales but basic lagers, cider and a bitter on tap. A good selection of wines and spirits available. Food wise, it's very nice. The mushroom starter was exceptional, big thick slices of breaded shrooms with a garlic and nd bbq sauce. Nice. The loaddd skins were a bit naff, just thin skins with some cheese sprinkled on and grilled, not a loaded skin. However, the starters were 2.65 each so good value. The mains were priced at around 6 quid each. I had a 6oz steak with chips and a lobster sauce. The wife had fish & chips with mushy peas. It was very nice. The steak was juicy and lean, the fish was a decent size with Crisp dry batter and the missus said it was lovely (considering she works at papas fish n chips lol) nice grounds, outside seating and plenty of seating inside. Well worth a visit. On a different note, the full priced mains are top end for a pub however, going on the quality of the cheap menu, I'd expect exceptional food to come out of the pass.

L. J.A clean spacious place. Initial service was good. A friendly polite young lady served us. The children received their starter quickly then we waited and waited for our main course. People who came in half an hour after us were getting their food while we still waited. The food when it arrived was of poor standard. Parts of a meal where hot others warm to tepid even cold.
Yes we were given free drinks for waiting so long but the quality of the food wasn't anywhere near as it should be.
If they get their act together it could be a quality place to eat.

H.The meal wasn't to bad ..the place was filthy from walking in ..the carpets was full of foods and bits from previous days and the glass lamp shades was thick with dust right above the table ..the blinds was realy dirty ..it was just dirty place was a shame because the staff was lovely ..just needs proper cleaners in there .
K. F.This place is expensive for what you get when comparing it to other establishments nearby. Both of us thought the burger meal I got was more like a kid's meal. Although the half plate of chips made up for it somewhat. Priced in excess of £15. Burger was about 8cms across and a one deep. With a tablespoon of pulled beef on top. The Doom Ale pie was better value at under £14 but easily that value was exceeded by smaller gastro pubs where it would have been priced about £10. I would expect the buying power of large pub chains would have made it cheaper whilst maintaining quality. Suffice to say this place is off our list for the foreseeable future.

Only reason for not full 5stars was I felt the delayed "welcome" was a tad cold and regimented!
I know we're all still picking up the pieces of Covid but a slightly warmer welcome would have made the difference.
That said, table service was very good, attentive and spot on. !

G. T.Went for a family breakfast get-together on Sunday - all 17 of us including grandchildren. The service from Richard and Leanne was exceptionally good, well above what we expected. The selection of dishes was good and all nicely cooked - even the fried egg yolks were runny! The sole reason it's not a 5☆ review is the food provided was as you would expect of a chain, ie not local produce. Recommended for a breakfast meet-up like we had AND I'd add the grandchildren ate for free.

(We booked to go to Beverly races and stayed at the Premier Inn next door)..the euro England match was on and the manager got us a spare TV to watch it in the restaurant.. the manager certainly went above and beyond gave us 110% to make our stay a memorable one.. we will certainly be visiting again.. highly recommend staying here...

I. R.Covid restrictions in place, easy to order at the till by rhe door, or on the app if preferred. Very good service and pleasant staff. Food is typical pub grub fayre, but done well. It was a sunny day at the time of our visit, so sat outside. Overall a very pleasant experience.

F.Book a table for 10 celebrating granddaughters 18th birthday for some reason the person taking the booking booked us in near Southampton instead of hull the proof was on my daughters phone the young lady at kingswood was very helpful and managed to seat us on the staffs table little squashed and spoilt the night somewhat my daughter emailed the company but didnt get a reply would certainly think twice about going there again csnt complain about the staff but head office are a different matter

D.Staying away with work in the Premier Inn next door and got the meal dela with my room so went to the Beefeater next door all the staff are so friendly even for a random guest like me from the other side of the UK. Young gentlemen who I believe to be the shift manager welcomed me at the door and showed me to my table and was very pleasant and called me by my name giving it a more personal touch and made me feel at home. Then served by a young lady didn't get her name but had blonde hair in a bun who took my order again great service. Then comes the best part I was seated opposite one of the tills and noticed what I guess as a fairly new member of staff a young lad and I have to say hat off to all the staff every member of staff was happy to help him and show him the the ropes. Being someone who has worked in the same industry as these legends knows how hard it can be to be under the pressure but to Then train on a shift even better hats off to them. I stay away in Hull alot and this was my first time her I will definitely be back again the food was great drink even better and very clean. Great team and great effort from all thank you to all of you.

I.The food here is amazing from the starters to the desserts. As good as the food is not all of it can match up to the ribs, they are excellently flavoured and the meat falls right off the bone. Many of the desserts are very chocolatey (sometimes overly) but there is a great variety to choose from

J. D.Disappointed that they didnt have any lamb burgers after I'd spent all day looking forward to them, then they didnt have the dessert I fancied either. Would have been better to be told of those things when first sitting down so I wasn't put on the spot trying to pick something quickly.
Unfortunately, a fight broke out while there too, although the staff dealt with it quickly (shame they had to though!).

Just can't bring myself to give it to the full five stars as the unlimited refill drinks take far too long to be refilled and there was far too few chips with my meal.
Really nice food, friendly service and decent prices. As I said, will visit again but if your really hungry then maybe here isn't the place for you.

a. t.We went for the breakfast menu and if was alright, was told what was on offer and went to the self service counter to find it was mostly empty, a member of staff popped from out of the kitchen and said that they had just come on shift and nothing was topped up, so had to wait for fresh food, busy but not rammed, but for the food that was out was cold, it was ok. S.It's a beefeater. Not fantastic but certainly no where close to bad either. Perfectly as expected. Staff waiting on were very nice, very Freindly and tried hard to impress, which they did. So no complaints. I was here on business so was more than adequate. Would I come here for a special, personal reason....no, but, then again, I wouldn't go to any beefeater for "that special occasion". More than happy to give 4 stars.

We were left standing waiting for an attendant for a while, and had to leave the table to get the attention of someone to have our drinks ordered after the first.

d. h.Popped in on a bitterly cold evening in May. It offers a modern ambience, is spacious, comfortable and warm. All appreciated! Clearly popular for drinks and meals which people were enjoying. The service offered is both efficient and friendly. However, we only wanted coffee and cake. The Costa coffee on offer was very good but the chocolate brownie was not. It looked nice, served with iced cream but it was synthetic, sweet and yet devoid of chocolate. I would suggest avoiding it.
J. W.Spent Saturday 4th June at the restaurant for a vow renewal reception. There were 14 of us and we were looked after like royalty. The staff were amazing especially the young lady who waited on us all. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she made the whole day very special. Everyone thought the food was delicious.. C. B. (. R.Stayed here on a business trip. It's attached to a premier Inn, which is accessible from indoors so you can stay warm.
The car park was large, but cut short because of maintenance work, but still large enough to fit a long wheel base Mercedes sprinter van and 14ft trailer horse box. Not bad.
The food arrived within 30 minutes of ordering, which was perfect to get that first drink in, although portion sizes on the food were questionable! Could have been cooked slightly longer too as the chips were quite dry. Staff on the other hand were friendly and helpful as I needed advice on the rewards card and got all the answers I needed.
Toilets were clean and apparently checked regularly, which I can believe.
Overall I believe it's an okay family friendly place if you fancied a cheap meal out, but if you are to stay in the premier Inn, bewarey of the heating as ours was very temperamental through out the night and also our kettle tripped the electrics, so no coffee could be made.

We've tried "higher end" restaurants and frankly beefeater puts them to shame. Better value. Better flavour. Better variety. And better service. C. A.Food was good although the portion sizes are smaller than most other pubs I have been to but still good quality. But pricey for a pub grub, £52 for 2 adults and a child is a lot but it was enjoyable none the less.

It looks like it has recently been refurbished and we were very pleased with the surroundings and it wasn't too busy either. We were going to go for 3 courses,but as they didn't have any prawns for cocktails , we had mains and a dessert. I opted for steak and although it came well done instead of medium as I'd asked for,it tasted great. My wife had chicken ,but they had run out of the sauce which came with it,so had to have an alternative but she still enjoyed it. They have plenty of desserts to pick from and ours were great. The staff were great and very welcoming.we would definately go again,hopefully we can time it when they have just been re supplied.
