C. C.National has been one of my go to’s since a young age. Always come in for a blackcurrant soda and a side of nachos, but the mains are absolutely devine too! Staff have always been friendly over the years and never had any problems, Emily and Chloe are really helpful whenever I attend and make me feel welcomed. great atmosphere, would recommend to anyone

D. H.Pub seemed not to busy yet there was a wait for the food, chose a new addition that was illustrated (tho said not actual dish) was nice but nothing special, the desert I chose was apparently the only one they didn't have. Would visit again but wouldn't rush there.

R. F.After being turned away from the Toby Carvery with our elderly parents because we had a dog ( which we had mentioned on our booking ) we then phoned the National to see if they would let us in. Angie answered the phone who was really friendly and informed us we could go in the bar area. We arrived shortly afterwards to be met at the door by Angie who looked after us from start to finish. The food was great and the service even better, we will definitely be back ! Thanks again

G.We recently had our Wedding anniversary meal in here and the table was set up with flowers and a bottle of bubbly for us and also a card, we wasn't expecting any of that so we really appreciate the effort that the staff went through. The pub is also brilliantly set out aswell for social distancing.
Definitely recommend the national to anybody who hasn't been before.

The staff are always so friendly and helpful i honestly cannot fault this great pub/restraunt, this is a sizzling pub and a top choice for anyone, single, couple, family, it's all the same - you will receive a 5star welcome and a 5star experience. (the customers here are great too so no need to worry about small ears picking up big words, although that cannot be guaranteed)

Great selection of food on the menu we went for the mixed grill as the table next to us had one and they looked and smelt great. Glad we did as they was georgous. J. B. R.Long time since I was last here but it's still a nice little pub inside. Landlord and staff were all pleasant and friendly. I wasn't eating on this visit although the menu looked great. However the live band and audience really made the evening a good one.

e. p.Spent the evening in the pub last week with my family we all had a meal and drinks, the staff where very friendly and kind and went out there way to making sure we all had a lovely evening, we had 2 small children with us and they where very accommodating to sitting us so we where all together and the children could be loud with out interrupting any other customers, food was delicious and hot and was all pretty much served at the same time, so no one was waiting for food. Would deffinitly reccomend for a nice lovely meal and a catch up with family! For a great price. Will be visiting again soon! Thank you to all the staff for making sure we had a great evening.
G.Enjoyed a Meal here last Sunday with my fiancée and our 2 children. Service was friendly and efficient. We didn't have to wait long for our food which is great when you have kids as they get bored easy. I had the 14oz gammon served with 2 eggs, pineapple, grilled tomato, mushroom, beans ( I don't like peas :P) and chips. The food was absolutely perfect, it wasn't greasy at all like some places I have eaten. They have a great selection of food available even for picky eaters like me and some good offers too. I was also here for a wake a year ago and the buffet was really good as well. Will defiantly be coming here again soon. :)

K. M.Nothing wrong with the place. It was full when I went to watch a band there. Had food, it was ok, small but ok. Cooked well enough. Staff friendly enough. It's just your average brewery pub, nothing startling. If you happen to be in the area or as I did go to watch a band it's fine but I wouldn't go out of my way.
A. G.Ate here in a group of six. Ordered the whole hog and was very disappointed. The mess was warm at best and had three items which were supposed to be on the meal, bbq beans, corn on the cob and grilled tomato missing. Had a 30% off voucher so that lightened the disappointment a little. Ordered desserts as well, the black forest sundae which had no chocolate sprinkles on the cream as it is supposed to according to the menu. Bit off a let down all in all although the staff were nice and friendly

l. g.I would definitely recommend visit in the National Pub in Hull. for our wedding anniversary they set a table up for us with a bottle of wine flowers and a card it was a lovely gesture.Since opening back up after cOVID-19 close in pubs , we have just felt totally safe As there is a great system put in place.

M. H.I have visited the National many times, food is always served to a high standard and the pub has a great atmosphere with friendly staff. Their breakfast menu is my personal favourite with a wide range of options available. Me and my wife will be visiting shortly to try out their quiz nights!

I. R.Sirloin steak was cooked to my liking, med rare, but a cheap supplier of the meat I think. Very fatty and a lot sinew,. Kids fish fingers again cheap frozen supplier I think, not cod. Not many chips with them and rubbish frozen peas with no taste at all. I had to buy extra portion of chips. Chicken tika masala tasted like a madras but without the chilli spice. Rice was hard and dry, obviously microwaved. Typical cheap pub grub. If that's what you want OK, personally I prefer a gastro pub and am willing to pay a bit more.

C. W.Live music every 2nd Wednesday of every month! Large menu, Lounge area and bar, pool table, good crowd of people. The guys in the black are 3 out of 4 members of the well known tribute act, Kinda Queen, 2nd time they have performed here and did not let the crowd down! Everyone was on chairs, arms in the air enjoying themselves. National is great, we're trying to get the place a bit more lively. Come down & see for yourself. J. s.National has just had a refurb an it's more up to date now. We came here 21st March we had a lovely meal an wine for a great price . Defiantly worth coming here . Cosy an nice staff .
a.I visit loads of sizzling restaurants through out the country . Service was good as always. At this particular pub the meal was spoilt by 2 males shouting and swearing and distressing other customers . But apart from that all good .
