Z. W.Nice place for dinner and good value for money if you use the set menu or tastecard. Very friendly and efficient waiting staff. Would visit again but would try different dishes as three out of four things we tried were topped with the same pesto which wasn’t that great.

K.The food was really good, service however not so good. Pre booked a work night out for 23 of us, all of our food came at different times, some people had finished their main yet others were waiting for starters, explained that the food would be ordered and paid for on the company credit card but we would be purchasing our drinks individually and paying separately, was informed that we couldn't order at the bar and we should all order together and sort out our payments between us! The set 3 course meal for £24 is excellent value, service let it down.
R. O.Tucked away in a quiet corner of the bustling St Stephen's Shopping Centre is a true culinary delight. Zizzi never fails to deliver delicious food, warm service and an incredibly inviting atmosphere. So good - we make a 30 mile round trip just to dine here.
My personal pick is the pasta della casa with a gem lettuce side. Always beautifully cooked with each bite bittersweet as it means you're nearing the end. Save room for the melt in the middle chocolate pudding and ice cream, or one of the many other desserts such as tiramisu, honeycomb cheesecake or golden millionaire's slice.
The service and the restaurant itself is always spot on. I always appreciate when the kitchen is part of the dining area. Not only does it build anticipation, but it shows that all the food is cooked fresh because all the action is happening right in front of you.The smells wafting over create palpable hunger as they do so. Slight menu choice envy from other tables set in, though it provides ideas for something new to try for next time.
We ordered two mains, a side, a pudding and four drinks, with the bill coming to £44 minus tip (please tip those in the hospitality industry after the time they've had of late).
So all in all, excellent value, always an amazing meal and a really relaxed vibe. Best of all, you get to eat your own bodyweight in pasta. Really, what more could you ask for?
S. G.Absolutely loved our visit here. Super friendly staff and provided take home boxes as we ran out of time before our visit to Hull Truck Theatre (our fault not theirs!). Provided an allergen folder, very cumbersome and took ages to decipher what I could eat Gluten Free. I hope in future they provide a separate GF menu 🙏. Kids meals were really good and I enjoyed a GF pizza. Price for my pizza, two kids meals and a drink eat £27. We will go back.
m. b.Went for 25th wedding anniversary lunch. Absolutely first class. The girls were very polite and really helpful when my husband couldn't decide on what to have. First class vegan menu. Try it you wont be disappointed.
A. D.Visited for the first time as I received a gift voucher from my children. A 4 course great experience.....not quite....On arrival olives nuts and prosseco. We had to ask for this, the drink eventually arrived. Then asked for olives. Eventually they arrived. Nuts never appeared.
Starter...Bruchetta...was average...
Mains pasta was OK. Dessert was very tasty.

A. M.The food was ok, starters arrived very quickly after ordering. I had the pork meatballs which was cold in some spots and hot in others which makes me believe it was microwaved. For mains I had the rolled pork belly as they was out of salmon but must say it was delicious. My partner got a pizza which was black underneath and was like cardboard so left half of it. We was waiting a while for someone to come and clear the table and ask if we wanted desert but unfortunately no one came despite walking past and looking at the table a few times, so we decided to pay and leave and was still waiting 15 minutes so we could get the bill. One member of staff im not sure if it was the manager just seemed moody and not really bothered. The other 2 ladies are great but unfortunately was too busy to serve everyone efficiently.

D.My wife and I decided to eat out somewhere, anywhere! on14th June 2022 and parked up in the attached multi-storey car park and wandered around, almost aimlessly. then we came across this restaurant, it looked smart and had a lovely interior so we thought "In of a penny, In for a pound" so to speak, What a delightful couple of meals and drinks we had, the waitress (sorry I didn't get your name!!) was very polite and very professional and looked after us really well. The rest of the staff were just as friendly and nice. I can whole heartedly recommend the food here, and the service, we shall certainly be going back - what a great find!
S. M.What's with the awful iron chairs out the front dinning area? Everyone around was complaining of sore bums and joking about how bad they are. Whoever thought they were a good idea needs a slap. Sort it out! At least put some soft cushions on them. Food was ok, friendly staff

Prawn Linguine was okay but a bit bland.
Was told you had to order off the app, but app wouldn't load so we ended up ordering from the waitress anyway. She was nice. Didn't catch her name. I was quite disappointed that there was no Pina Colada Sundae. I understand sometimes restaurants can run out of supplies but the waiter wasn't apologetic. I'd have felt better if he tried to offer me an alternative at least. I didn't bother with a a dessert in the end.
We were offered a round of drinks on the house so that was a nice touch. We all said we wouldn't come back though too much faffing.

Price wise it's a little expensive but for the service I was happy for it. Really can't wait to go back and try some more of the menu. Would be nice to know calories maybe...

ordering on the phone is really simple from the table. It was the best integration of tech I've seen in any restaurant. We could edit our order all the way through without having to download an app, and paid online too which was so convenient.
The food was fantastic, fresh and tasty, they have recently changed the menu. Sadly one of our favourites has gone, (the king prawn pizza) but nothing we've had has disappointed. We will definitely be going back!
L. N.We sort of stumbled upon Zizzi when we were due to visit, for the first time, Hull Truck Theatre. We wanted to both park and eat nearby. We discovered that St Stephen's has a car park and that Zizzi was nearby. We hadn't realised that Zizzi was in a food court inside St Stephen's but that actually made things easier. The staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. They were also very helpful in getting things organised so that we wouldn't miss the start of our gig, whilst not rushing us along. The food was top notch. We will be back and we highly recommend this place.

We ordered off the set Xmas menu, 3 courses for £22.95. Must say was excellent value for money, food was lovely and plentiful. No long wait between courses which was great. Definitely recommend!

We then ordered the meatball and chicken calzone and the strip loin and venison pasta and both of those were really tasty as well. K. M.Called in here mid trip from Tenerife to Bridlington. Stopped off to break the journey for food in Hull with 1 hour between trains. Excellent food, I had the Rustic meat pizza and my wife had pasta with cream, spinach tomatoes and chicken. The food and service were both excellent. A special mention to Evie, Alice and Grace who pulled out all the stops to get us out on time for our train. Also the guys in the kitchen did their bit too. Highly recommend. Thanks guys.
R. K.This place is 100%. From the interior design through the menu to the food. It’s not just a pizza place and in fact I did’t have a pizza, but after trying calzone I am sure pizza will be delicious as well. The goat cheese on my salad tasted like washed in bleach but since I don’t know anything about stinky cheeses I will give them benefit if the doubt.
If you are anything like me, and cannot imaging food by reading description, use their online menu for pictures. You can connect to free WiFi. It requires some ‘bs’ registration which is very surprising in 21century but I see all places in UK are little behind regarding this. Staff is very friendly but not very professional so you’re on your own deciding on what to choose. It is small town after all so polite and friendly is more than enough. Overall positive experience.

Food is very pricey though as you'd expect from a chain and is very bread heavy. If you appreciate bread and cheese you'll love it here as we do.

P. M.1st time visit to Zizzi . On entering greeted with a warm welcome and shown to a table for two. Staff very attentive,friendly and helpful. Chose meal from summer menu food was excellent and very tasty to much of a choice on desserts will have to go back to try the others cannot praise the staff enough didn't rush you judged the attention to customers to perfection. The food was value for money would recommend
R. D.Without a doubt the food is lovely and it's reasonably priced but... We went only to be told it was fully booked inside (when half empty). We ate outside and the heaters might as well of not been there (it was cold). When we had finished our meal most of the tables were still empty inside. That was very frustrating and tainted the experience.

A. F.The perfect experience of a typical Italian style restaraunt with pasta, pizza, Italian salad and seafood dishes. Not an amazing place to eat if you have an intolerance to spice or allergy to seafood as many items on the menu contain one or both. The food I did have was a very delicious salad which contained prosciutto, croutons and avocado which was a brilliant sized portion and brilliant colours. Overall a great resteraunt although quite busy at lunch time.

E. S.What can I say except that this place is FRICKING AMAZING! I love pizza so much and this place definitely does it justice. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur at this point (having eaten at exactly 80% of the different types of pizza places in the United Kingdom) so it's rather hard to impress this refined palette of mine. Honestly, I love this place and I would definitely recommend it to everyone, even if you're "lack toes in toddler ants" you'll still love to eat their pizza before you explode from too much dairy. However, we did experience extra ‘service tax’ which stated on the website is optional.. but when we asked such a thing the waiter said it wasn’t. I felt this was a rip off!! I believe he took advantage because we are only teens and were confused about what it meant. If the restaurant was full then I would have agreed to pay it but it wasn’t and therefore I don’t think the extra charge was necessary!! The fact that it wasn’t very busy leaves me questioning the fact that the food took so long to come... having said that, it was lovely food!!

Waiters were very efficient, food arrived very quickly and tasted very good. Whole experience reminded me of ask Italian near princess quay but room was way less loud (which was great!)
