OK so burgers were very tasty but OMG the prices. Anyone would think you were in an upmarket restaurant. So just as an example a 330ml can of root beer was £4! Even if you bought just a 4 pack on amazon it would only cost £1 a can. I understand markup but that's 400% increase and they probably buy in bulk. Burgers were nearly £15 and they come with no side or fries at all. Chips were nearly £6 per portion and to put the cherry on the top they add a service charge on top. Been there done that but won't be going back again

First time in Byron burgers. Started by sharing a large nachos, arrived very quickly but the melted cheese was cold and the nachos seemed a bit stale. Double bacon cheesburger was nice but a bit to much ketchup. Chips were good and the milkshake was great. Service was excellent. Nice restaurant, clean toilets.

My friends and I took an unplanned visit to Byron late on a Friday night. This was my first time to a Byron so a quick scan of the menu outside gave me a plethora of vegan options with a whole section dedicated to their plant-based options. It must be noted that these are cooked on the same grill as other food if that puts you off. I went for a vegan double bacon cheeseburger. As I was hungry and fascinated by their food, I also asked for a piece of their vegan chicken on the side. It was our server, Jordan's, second day of training and he was fantastic, checking he had understood our order and got our meals exactly right. He also had already split the bill for us depending on what each of us had. This was so useful as some of us needed their beds and wanted to leave promptly after eating. The burger was moist with charring. The American-style cheese melted beautifully. Next to my carnivore friend's meals, you would not be able to pick out the plant-based burger. The 'chicken' was the best I've had. How Byron do their coating is how KFC should do their vegan burger. It is bubbly, crunchy and full of flavour. It is not in the style of KFC, so the flavours don't match, but the texture is amazing. Fries were an optional extra. Burgers do not automatically come with them, so I was pleased I didn't order any as these two items, along with a vegan salted caramel milkshake, were filling! I had such a good experience at Byron that I wish they had one in East Sussex. I think Bluewater is my closest one. If you want a posh vegan Burger King you cannot go wrong with Byron. A return visit with my family is surely on the cards? P.S. I have just found the calories for my meal by downloading the allergen menu. I wish I had not looked. I think my meal was over 2000kcals! Whoops!

Yes quite honestly the burgers are so delicious, but like everyone else say the PRICES ARE EXTORTIONATE. This definitely does stop us going back as often but we will definitely go back again to treat ourselves at some point!

To be honest this used to be better but the place is beginning to look a bit jaded and the food average. A so called Sharing platter of fries and pulled beef was really just a small dish for one with a tiny bit of beef on top. At nearly 9 quid it was a bit too much for the small amount. Two of our party ordered cheeseburgers and the burger meat was charred and too shrunken no matter how they had asked them to be cooked. The burger buns only had a bit of sliced tomato and tiny spread if slaw and were dry. Not good value either considering they dont come with chips or sides. Although food was tasty the value was not and cutlery was dirty and had to be replaced. The drinks are sky high prices as well which you can expect in a town centre eatery but not this high. We wont be visiting Byron ever again. I think for the high prices they can do better or they will not be there in a year. Staff were very good. For a brand aiming at the younger market, they are not good value and as much as I dont like fast food I could see why Byron was nearly empty on a hot summer Saturday afternoon whilst McDonald's five mins walk away was heaving.

Food tasted great!. We got a Byron burger and a normal beef burger and both were cooked perfectly. Loads of fries espeically if you just choose original fries. The bacon and cheese topped fries were good but not enough toppings and seemed to be a smaller quantity. Oreo milkshakes were amazing!

Great vegan options and staff go out of their way to get you the best deal possible. The food itself was soooo flavourful and I want another one already!! They have options to have the burger without bun, multiple sides, salads if you're trying to be healthier and great toppings. My flatmate was super stoked too. We were nervous as two vegans going to a burger joint but we're planning our next trip already! Long story short: amazing food, great options all with the best staff EVER!

This was my second favourite chain restaurant to eat at yet yesterday's order lowered our opinion. Both burgers were overcooked, the fries were chewy and floppy, and it was flavourless. The fries seemed like they were a day old and had been microwaved. My burger had no sauce (I'd added my own in the picture) and the meat was so dry and flavourless it tasted like it was cheap meat cooked from frozen. The mac and cheese was good and the shakes were great, but the order came to over £50 and even for the amount you get it doesn't seem worth it. It takes about 4 minutes and really minimal effort to make a good, juicy, tender burger, with a little bit of salt and seasoning. To charge this much for low quality, bland meat seems a bit silly. The thing is I know Byron is better than this. Just a shame our last order before lockdown had to be this disappointing. Save £40, get the "supreme burger" patties with the extras and sides from Lidl, and cook them right. Takes 5 minutes to pan cook a burger and can be 300x better!

Whilst the burgers were good, it was difficult to justify the price tag. The extra pound for cheesy chips, initially was very questionable, until I raised the issue and then got a decent covering of cheese. The service was brisk and very polite, although the menu was limited, especially desserts.

Delicious burger - I had the chilli burger, cooked medium, and it was absolutely awesome. Satisfyingly messy to eat! The sweet potato fries are a great alternative to standard fries and are always crispy. Nice treat! The milkshakes are really good too.

Very nice place, but very busy. I didn't like the attitude at first, when we were told that the place is fully booked for over a week, while they were unoccupied tables. Finally, we've been found an arrangement for eating with kids and everything was perfect at the end. Good burgers, loved the sweet potatoes and the salade. Quite noisy, but normal when its full. Very dynamic and energetic, not right for a quite dinner😁.

Went for lunch today with our daughter and the service was amazing and the the burgers we ordered where the best we have had in a long time, we were served by rion, and he couldn't have been more helpful after I asked if there was a gluten free menu, he went and got a folder which told me what I could/couldn't have and was able to swap my bun for a gluten free one. The food came quite quick and the burgers were cooked to perfection, we will be going again.

At first glance the menu seems very basic, I also questioned the price for what I thought was like fast food just with plates and beer I'd never heard of. I've never been so happy to be proved wrong. The whole experience was genuinely next level! Top quality ingredients perfectly cooked to order, fabulous friendly efficient service and a really interesting and delicious selection of drinks. I cant recommend this place enough. Please go and try it for yourself it was amazing. Will definitely be going back.

Very tasty burgers! We usually go at lunch, because the lunch deal is great value - ten pounds for a burger and fries and soft drink (I think certain beers are another pound). The fries are huge for a set meal deal, and food is tasty. I have the chicken burger and it's lovely. Staff seem pretty friendly too.

I visited here with 4 of my children as we were visiting my eldest here at uni. I'd return here without a doubt! My burger and sweet potato fries were amazing so so tasty and my vegetarian daughter was really chuffed to have a choice of 4 burgers, the kids meals were great too. The service and quality were swift and excellent and I noticed that all of the bottles were glass. No visible plastic in use which really made me and my kidlets crazy happy!

Great place, one of my go-to places to eat when going into town or the cinema. The service is always great, the food is very well cooked (I'd recommend having the burgers medium for the right amount of juice), and overall it's a great burger joint.

Yeah not bad we went there when there was like 2 other couples in the building so service came pretty quick. Decent burger however don't come with chips so your doing a tenner just for the burger. Chips are like £3 so me and the bird just shared some. Place is clean and when you order a coke it comes in a glass that has been frosted so 👍

Really enjoyed this restaurant. First time there on a reasonably busy Friday night but we weren't kept waiting even after arriving early for our booking . Friendly staff, clean and well presented. Food was quick, hot, and really tasty. We will definitely be returning.

Me and my wife came here on the 22/07/2018 for lunch. The burgers we had were unreal, beautifully cooked, stacked perfectly with an amazing chocolate milkshake to drink. My wife is Gluten free and the young lady who served us was spectacular, she offered us the allergies menu and guided us through what my wife could eat. My wife ordered some chips for her side meal, the allergy advice stated they were gluten free but didn't take cross contamination into account which we didn't even think of, the young lady came over to our table with no doubt guidance from there chef and said the chips are gluten free but there maybe cross contamination. I swear to the gods if that was any other restaurant they would have cooked them and not said anything about it. Overall this place is brilliant unfortunately we had to rush our food as we realised our 2hrs on the carpark had ran out so we had to get a shift on. We will 100% return next time with our kids as they can eat for 25p with every burger an adult buys which is awesome.

We went with my family to try Byron few days ago. New menu is absolutely amazing. Healthly vegan or flex burgers are very good. For those who prefere something less healthy I recommend THE BIG SMOKE. Good for families as they have 25p kids menu on. 5/5 we will be coming again.

We Love Byron burger and our experience with eating in at the buttermarket one has always been very good . Friendly and efficient staff who were helpful and polite. This evening we ordered from Deliveroo and even though I rang Byron after placing order online to request a certain item be prepared in a specific way when the order arrived the request hadn't been done as ordered. I called again and cannot fault the staff member on the other end of the phone. Very polite and apologetic and our order was remade with no fuss. Very thankful as we had just finished a long journey and we're very hungry and tired. Thank you for great service and good food .

Date night for me and the Mrs. We had an O2 deal where you get 2 Burgers with fries and two drinks for £17 and since we had never tried Byron burger before but had heard good reviews, we would give it a go - FREE parking in the butternarket past a certain time too! We were greeted at the door and asked to take a seat which was great but it did take a while for us to be asked what we were having (although the waitress was very helpful). We then too waited a while for food and did see people who came in after us be served before us, that said, when we received the food it was great. The drink options involved bottle of peroni too! After the meal we played a couple of games of Jenga and waited patiently for the bill (it would have been great if they'd of told us about the games when we were seated). The bill came and was obviously £17, great price. The downfall came when I paid a £20 note to the waiter and unfortunately he did not return. I would have tipped him but he appeared to have presumed the remaining £3 was an automatic tip!? To summarise: Great food, Average service (although there were only 2 people on the restaurant floor). So I would highly recommend for only £20.

Simply put, the best burger joint in Ipswich. Burgers can be cooked to taste which shows meat is quality. A little on the higher price scale but definitely worth the spend. Beer is lined with Gold and price reflects this. So have a few cheeky weatherspoons pint if your in that market before. Staff are very friendly and patient with my stupidity, so top marks there. Always clean and tidy and never a long wait to food arrives. Lunch time offer, all in for a tenner, is very good value.

As a burger joint its fairly easy to forget about the Salads but I would certainly recommend trying them at one point. I was a huge fan of the Cobb salad which has now been removed from the menu and although the staff told me they would happily still make it for me I opted for the Superfood salad instead. One word... After a rather bad start to our evening with the food arriving cold through Deliveroo. We spoke to Craig and he was very helpful, even spoke to Deliveroo on our behalf to get us our money back. Beware the parking spaces here are incredibly tight. If you have a normal sized car you are going to struggle to get in next to one of the pillars as there is insufficient room to manoeuvre a family sized car. The cost isn't too bad and it is in a good location for access to Ipswich. The shopping centre itself is nice, clean and has helpful staff.

Byron is a great place to eat close to the empire cinema and bowling in the buttermarket centre. Food was great. Service was quick and polite. It can be busy during peek hours. How ever for evening meets after a trip to the cinema byron makes a great choice. Located in the middle of Ipswich close the lots of other things. Really enjoyed date night here will be visiting again soon for sure.
