Decided to go out for dinner as a treat. I let the kids decide so we ended up at Chiquito's Ipswich. We don't normally do to chain style restaurants as the potion sizes normally have you needed more and the service is mediocre at best. Very happy to say this was not the case here! Food came out generously, piping hot and within good time. Our waitress Kai was exceptional. Cheerful, knowledgeable about the food she was servicing and seem to genuinely care about the customer care she was providing. She even convinced my wife to order a side of spicy baby potatoes which I knew was going to be fun as she hates spice but I her carry on for a laugh. Overall the staff were quick, attentive and was the sort of service you should receive. Other restaurant chains might want to consider sending there staff on the same training courses these guy go on. Thank you for a lovely evening guys

Came for a meal with my sister and we were not disappointed at all! Our server, Granit, could not do enough for us. He constantly checked we were happy, was quick to serve us and always had a smile. Best customer service I’ve had anywhere in a long time!

Me and my family love chiquitos! We visit pretty often. I think this particular branch changed management/staff at one point a while back and seemed to have a hiccup as it really wasn't as good as it had been, however I think it was pretty quickly addressed and its been firmly back to one of our favourites again. We find the food, staff, decor, atmosphere, service and prices to be just great. Wouldn't change anything except the breakfast menu being back all week long again 😊 It's a really nice cozy restaurant that is really suited to everyone. We have gone on 'date' type evenings there but also lunchtimes with our children and its always been pretty much perfect 👍😊

Very pleasant meal with great service from Janice. Returned again this evening, we had another lovely meal, our waitress was very good. I had chicken and pulled pork fajitas, with chilli chocolate for pudding. It was very tasty.

Felt a bit let down, was my first time here so I thought I would try something simple ish. A Mexican Chilli which according to menu was supposed to be hot far from it. But service etc I can’t fault.

This was an okay place to eat. It was my first time at a Chiquitos and I had the fillet steak fajitas. I was pretty disappointed with the food. The service and everything was lovely but the food was just lacking.

Always a nice dining experience here. Tonight was the best of all. Great welcome at the door (from all staff that we saw), always clean and tidy and the food was spot on as always. We never tire of visiting here and always leave feeling like it’s been money well spent. A special mention to our server Granit. He was fantastic. Great food, great service. Prices seem a little steep but you get the quality that you pay for. I think some of the soft drinks seem a little overpriced. £3 for a draft coke is too much. Avelina was our server and she was wonderful.

One way system in place due to Covid 19, and dividers between seating, and social distancing in place also. Amazing food, very filling so worth the money. Look, it's a mid-low budget chain restaurant that sells the standard tex-mex menu items. The food isn't sensational or challenging, but I don't think it's supposed to be. The staff are friendly and helpful, the restaurant was clean, the food was tasty and came out real quick. Zero complaints. Set your expectations appropriately and I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I am vegetarian and had been for over 8 years. I decided it was time to try to eat meat again, purely due to health and food enjoyment. I was at Chiquito's about 2-3 weeks ago work night out. I had a chicken burger 🍔 I personally didn't enjoy it as much I hope for but I'd order again simply because there food is top notch. I would have gone for one of there veggie options but tbh there menu is just not broad enough for vegetarians. I'm also allergic to mushrooms so kinda difficult to find something alternative that isn't substituted with mushrooms. All in all its a great restaurant, superb staff 👌 👏

Perfect - the food was well priced, well seasoned, and well portioned; the service was impressively prompt for 6 of us; all of the staff were very friendly, made everyone feel at ease, and went the extra mile; and the venue has excellent Coronavirus measures in place. Plenty of choice on the menu, even for the weirdos who don't actually want Mexican food! And I'm big on the booths! Pricing is just about decent- but for the taste and quality I can't complain. The only thing I'd change would be the addition of quesadillas to the menu, though that'd have to be a chain-wide decision. Would absolutely recommend!

Just been to Chiquito in Ipswich and we were very impressed with the excellent service. We hadn't booked but a wheelchair accessible table was found straight away and our server Alex was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The Vegan options were impressive and we received our food quickly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We'll certainly be back again soon!

We visited the Ipswich Ravenswood branch for our daughters 11th birthday and have only visited two Mexican restaurant competitors before this with slightly disappointing results on the speed and customer service - we are SO impressed with this restaurant as we had no complaints at all - the food was great, the service was friendly and fast, the social distancing was well in place but not to the detriment of the experience and above all our waitress Avelina was amazing!! She made the whole experience, helping us with our menu choices and being attentive and friendly despite it being busy and we cannot thank her enough for a fantastic time, which was very much needed particularly through this pandemic.. also now so stuffed I could cry 😂 thank you so much! Please don't close down, it really would be a shame as this service is so few and far between - as my daughter said as we left, it's been the best restaurant she's ever been to and I wouldn't readily disagree! 😊

Had a great evening celebrating my sons 18th birthday. We were allowed to take in a helium balloon, and presents for opening which I asked prior to entering and were accommodated. Once seated we were welcomed and had everything explained with their operating of the restaurant to ensure safety for all customers and staff. We ordered drinks and followed with ordering our meal. Our server Granit continued to explain the ordering system, via app or via the staff and equally how settling up at the end will happen he asked if we had a voucher in which had said we had looked for one but couldn't locate one. He asked if we were NHS staff, students etc to receive discounts and he also mentioned tastecard which I had looked previously but thought wasn't accepted on Saturdays, but turns out it was so very grateful him going through this as this lead to us being able to order and receive 2 for 1 meals, starters and desserts. Our meal arrived, and was great, all was there which was ordered. We all enjoyed our meals. We did leave room for dessert and between receiving our deserts our server Granit arrived to our table with a special pudding with happy birthday written on the plate with a candle. Completely unexpected, we got to sing happy birthday, was lovely, puddings demolished, fat and full we left Granit sorted our bill too and gave us 2 complimentary margarita vouchers for our next visit. Thank you so much for accommodating us and going above and beyond we had a lovely time and everything was perfect. 👌 Special thanks to Granit.

This was my first time at Chiquito’s. The food was great. I was in a group of 5 & we all ordered a different dish. All of us enjoyed what we had chosen. We shared various side dishes, they were good too. The Churros were a yummy dessert. The staff were efficient & welcoming. Avelina, our waitress, gave us a brilliant service. She was professional, friendly and informative about the food they offered. She even, after finding out one of us was celebrating an 18th birthday, brought over a delicious brownie with cream and chocolate sauce for the birthday girl and a cocktail on the house. Ordered a click and collect the other day, was very excited as myself and my family have not had chiquitos for months and when we got it we were not disappointed ! We ordered the build your own burrito and chimi as well as jalapeño poppers, cheesy garlic bread and halloumi bites. Highly recommend all the food we ordered! Food was still hot by the time we managed to get it home. Was given lots of condiments which is always important. Was greeted by both managers, who were very friendly. My eldest son is over here on a short vacation so to re live our Texas roots what better place to go than Chiquetos Resteraunt for a meal with all the family well most of them anyway. Our waitress was warm and friendly and had our drink orders filled. She then fulfilled our meal requirements and it was that and catch up time.The meals arrived and folks the food was outstanding. Even the children were happy. Desert came and went and it was time to leave. The bill paid ( for 7 people and very reasonable) and it was time to go. A great place , with great people and truly a memorable night. My entire family and I recommend it, you wont be disappointed.

I have eaten here many times over the time this place has been open. And it has only improved with time. I was unimpressed the first time I went year about 2 years ago but since then this place and the staff and really improved. The menu is full of tasty delights, hard to know what to pick. The breakfast is different and tasty. My favourite being mexican ranch eggs. Good drink options. Good day time deals. Very helpful staff. And the best desserts you can get. I find most places to poor shop brought desserts but not here. Leave room.

I dined alone at this restaurant and received a very friendly welcome from. Maria. The place was not packed and in somr restaurants this can be a cue for the staff to switch off. That was certainly not the case here. They all remained attentive, friendly and efficient. I was impressed. The food was very tasty, was presented well and arrived in good time. The habanero wings were nice and spicy. The BBQ sauce on the chicken and ribs was particularly good. I've not eaten at this place before but I will definitely be coming back.

Ended up here unexpectedly on a Saturday night for our son's birthday. They could not have been more accommodating - happy to move us to another table when we asked & nothing too much trouble. The kids enjoyed the menu choices & it encouraged them to try something new. Special mention for our waiter Granit who made a fuss of the birthday boy, and then his big brother. For a big chain restaurant I haven't been let down by the food, I have been really disappointed by chains like Ask and F&B's but I'm content with the quality from chiquito. The card machine was broken but they offered payment in cash or via the app, I went with the app and it was super simple and done in seconds. Really friendly staff, well made cocktails and I will be going back.

What a great experience on Sunday. Excellent personal service from Sam (his service was genuine, wholesome and professional. This young man will go far in life with that attitude) can’t fault anything especially when considering we made several requests which could easily frustrate staff. Give Sam a promotion he deserves it. There had better be some form of staff rewards system otherwise the company is doing a disservice to the staff. Will certainly recommend.

The staff have been friendly and very helpful and this definitely draws me to come back again. Food wise I have mostly stuck to the traditional Mexican restsuarant.ie the chimmichanga, burritos, tacos. Very tasty and lots of choice. Others with me have also enjoyes ribs and chicken. The cocktail menu is extensive and tasty too. It's not a cheap place to eat, but very acceptable with my gourmet society card. I think I will be going back again and again.

The food all came out together, not like other places when you ask for a starter to come out with the mains it actually was served at the right time, well done Chef. It was all cooked well and nicely presented, as were the staff well turned out. The music and decor are as to be expected, well done to all involved in bringing this to fruition.
