Tasty takeaway, slow delivery. We ordered from here whilst visiting Ipswich. Food took an absolute age to arrive (~ 1.5hr after ordering, and we were just down the road!). However once it arrived it was super delicious! Well seasoned and very flavourful dishes. Although got the impression some of the dishes may have been sat around for a while before being delivered as the plain rice we ordered had gone hard and dry. Would probably try eating in next time.

Best Indian takeaway in Ipswich. Food is consistently good, lots of meat free options, staff have always been polite and helpful when I've called, delivery never late, and they have vegan dishes clearly labelled which is really nice. I recommend ordering off their website as opposed to just eat as they often give discounts and just eat is often unreliable.

The best Indian we’ve ever had and been too!! Lovely staff, food was amazing, flavours were on point and the service is really good. Staff don’t rush you to finish, they are very attentive to what you would like or need! Will definitely be visiting again! 10/10!

I went with my son. The food was flavoursome, fresh and hot (temperature wise) absolutely delicious. We had a mixed platter, then I had a very tender lamb madtas with pilau rice and a stuffed paratha. Never been before but I will go again and again. Can't recommend it enough.

Incredible!!! We attended yesterday as we were staying overnight for work purposes. I had Tikka Paneer, Chicken Makhani and a Paratha (like none I’ve ever tasted before.) it was that filling and fantastic, I couldn’t eat it all. Thank you so much for the lovely food and the incredible service. If I’m ever in Ipswich I will definitely return (even on my own!)

Wonderful food, used meerkat meal deal, made a great meal even better. All the food tasted freshly made, was not greasy and staff very friendly and chatty. If you are looking for a traditional Indian/Bangladeshi meal would highly recommend. Could do with a lick of paint here and there but don't let that put you off. Free parking at rear after 8pm.

Really great restaurant. The owner is a lovely man and all the staff are very nice. I had the tandoori king prawn jalfrezi, which was delicious. My mother had the tandoori mixed grill, which was one of the best I have ever tried. My sister's dish, the vegetarian set menu, stole the show - absolutely gorgeous and I will be ordering that next time!

I've been coming here for over 30 years and have never really had a bad meal. The menu is huge. Service is always attentive. Cobra and Kingfisher on tap. The only problem I have is that they tend to cram people into the restaurant and it can get very noisy. Recommended though.

I read the reviews before going to eat here and was surprised to find the food was very average. Obviously all the curries are made with the same gravy so they end up tasting very similar. Service was okay, although one waiter who looked like he was in charge seemed annoyed by the fact we wanted a table out of the way of other people (due to the fact we had 3 children).

I have quite a busy life, so there is always not enough time for me to eat. For this reason, I prefer fast food places. This Maharani restaurant is located in Ipswich, UK. I like to visit this place every time when I want to think about something or spend time with my close friends. I also like to walk in this park, and to end my walk with a dinner in this restaurant. The view on the park is very beautiful which makes feel calm and peaceful. It is great that it has an outdoor dining space. Yet, it is better to have a dinner inside when the weather is too hot. The atmosphere inside is also great. There are a great number of small tables and cozy chairs. It is very comfortable to sit on them with a company of people. it is also possible to come here with a big company and celebrate some special event, like anniversary or engagement. The light here is pleasant. The only minus in this place is the great number of people every day. It can be hard to find a place to sit and when there are too many people, the place is too loud for me. However, the atmosphere is not the only thing that I like in this restaurant. I also like the service. The waiters are very nice and do everything possible to satisfy their clients. A couple of times, I wasn’t satisfied that my order isn’t ready for a too long period of time. However, my waiter patiently explained me the situation and ask me to taste some of their wines. As this restaurant is very famous for its good and delicious indian food. Yet, the most important element of any restaurant is its food. This is the reason why I adore this place. When I eat food prepared by the chef of this restaurant, it seems that I’m in Italy and eat their national food. I don’t really like to experiment and prefer to order the same dishes all the time. My favorite dishes here are Handi Lamb Vuna, Keema Naan, Niramish. As for me, all of the dishes are very delicious. They are quite spicy, but I adore spicy food and can eat it a lot. Apart from this, I always order some dessert. This restaurant has a great variety of the desserts. It is very delicious and it is creamy and sweet. In general, I’m very happy that there is such a great place where I can spend a great time with my family and friends. It is very peaceful when there are not many people inside. Yet, I don’t like when there are too many people because it is very hard to relax. In any case, I will carry on visiting this restaurant because I like the comfortable atmosphere, friendly waiters, affordable prices, and excellent dishes. If I need to recommend someone a place where to eat well in Ipswich.

Lovely experience all around. We used to visit this restaurant years ago with my godparents before the theatre and have just recently gone back - definitely recommend for both take away and meals in! My partner and I went for dinner on Sunday, there were a few sweet family’s chatting away to the staff, I think they must be regulars, and a really welcoming atmosphere. When ordering I was recommended to order a slightly different jelfrezi dish by the waiter which was absolutely delicious and our Sagaloo side dish was the best I have tried in years! All delicious with excellent friendly service, will be going back again soon for sure :)

We've eaten in and had takeaway and the food is always great, the staff also care regardless of whether you are sat in or waiting a few moments for your takeaway. Park round the back for free after 6pm and you can access the restaurant through the back door once you know the way (head for the smokehouse then turn right)
