Reviews of Fish Out

If you are in Leeds City Centre and craving fish and chips this is the place to go. This is now the second time I have been back both times great service and great food. The guys in the takeaway are really polite and friendly. The fish is fried to order and is served with a great crispy batter. Chips are good and actually not too greasy... Portion size is reasonable as is the price considering the location.

Amazing food. Its very rare to find a fish and chip shop that caters for people with gluten intolerance. The fish wasn't oily like most places and was delicious the chips were also delicious. The staff were great! Would definitely recommend and will come again.

Consistently good fish & chips fried fresh in front your eyes. Good banter from the owners. Tucked away off Wellington Street but if you're in Leeds City Centre & you want A1 grade fish & dirks, go & see these guys.

What do you really want from a chippie. Fast food? Good pricing? Easy to get to? Perhaps you prefer having a variety of choices other than the obligatory Fish and chips, chip butty and sausage. Well, then you get a single question. Where are these perfect chippies? Well, I cant say where they al are but this is one. Located well, fast food, great variety, friendly staff. Give it a chance and make your own opinions.

Went here for the first time tonight to get a last minute fish and chips for me and the girlfriend and was very impressed. Lovely blokes who were chatty throughout service and the food was fresh and up there with the best fish and chips we've tried. £9 for a large (and I mean large) fish and chips satisfied both parties. A regular in the making.

5 minute walk from train station. Top quality fish n'chips cooked to order and served by friendly, polite staff.

Lovely service and quite possibly the best fish and chips I've had in a while. Everything cooked fresh and the batter was thin, crisp and perfect. Plenty of chips and reasonably priced. Very tasty indeed, thanks guys xx

One of the best fish and chips i have had in a long time, the fish was fried to perfection, the batter was light and crispy, the chips were brilliant, prices are spot on and the portions are plenty full

First time going a few weeks ago as I work in the complex opposite. Came across this place and thought I’d try fish and chips with curry sauce.
Absolutely gorgeous, one of best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Been back once a week ever since. Very generous portions, very little grease, fish cooked to perfection and large, not too much batter too a lot of places there’s more batter than fish.
For the price it’s definitely worth checking out, il be going every week 👍
A. M.
Really nice fish and chips, please go there

It's not expensive to say that the location is in leeds city center. The food and service was great

My favourite place to grab lunch during the week. The guys are really friendly, remember faces, and are eager to please.
The prices are really good, they offer different kinds of batter for your fish and also do chicken. They are a 3 minute walk to the Wellington Place complex.
Couldn't recommend more.
M. J.
Fresh, beautiful fish and chips. Good value too.
M. L.
Reasonable priced fish and chips, always good quality, hidden away down this little side street, it really is a hidden gem
R. W.
Very high quality, well worth a visit
H. S.
Pretty solid, fish was fresh and chips were nice. The prices are quite reasonable considering in you're in a more upmarket part of the city centre, only real gripe is the regular fish could be a bit bigger but I would certainly return, tartar sauce was very nice.
J. T.
Has to be the best little fish n chip shop in Leeds. A great price, fantastic quality, great menu and you can even have your fish cooked in garlic batter... superb and delicious.
M. C.
Amazing fresh fish, chips and mushy peas today, the best I've tasted in years. Friendly staff, I can thoroughly recommend.

Not too often you’ll find high quality Yorkshire-style fish and chips available in the city centre, and at good value too !
H. A.
Been there this evening, it was a beautiful experience to try their tasty fish and chips,
Really enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone who loves fish and chips.
N. O.
Good quality, fresh fish and chips and a variety of other dishes to take out or eat on the small outdoor area
M. W.
Every time I go in the food is cooked to order. That's great that you don't get food that was cooked and left, but it does mean it takes ages to get your food. Despite this, the chips always seem a bit dry.

Fantastic value for money, fried by qualified chefs. Very friendly worth travelling for. Not only the best in Leeds but the best in the North of England.
K. M.
Delicious! Fresh cod and chips with tasty gravy and mushy peas. Three seats inside and a few outside but if its nice weather park square is a close walk.
L. K.
Friendly guys at the counter, plenty of Covid protection in place. Fish was amazing, bought the large haddock and it was like a whale.
Thanks, thoroughly enjoyed
M. M.
Very nice fish & chips, reasonable price for city centre, however you have to pre-order every fish, even when it's busy and they know people will want fish meaning you can never just "nip" in, you have to plan the visit as you'll be there a while.
m. d.
Beautiful fish & chips ,lovly polite people ,clean & tidy i will definitely recommend & always go to

Due to working across the road I tend to treat myself to these on a Friday I must say the food is amazing the chips are great not too greasy and the fish is very nice and meaty i just have one complaint and that is regarding the attitude from the staff, I understand they're busy but they don't need to speak to me in a manner which would suggest I was an annoyance or an irritant by just being there, I admire their food and appreciate how busy they are but every customer is a valuable customer
T. C.
Fantastic little fish & chip shop tucked away on Wellington street. Very clean and generous portions. Highly recommended.
J. C.

Chips with scraps (soaked in vinegar) took me back to my childhood. The jumbo haddock was similarly old school.
