Reviews of Fuji Hiro
U. D.
Tasty food. Served quickly. No frills service. Felt like the place could do with a bit of a clean. Worth going for the food, but don’t go for a special occasion. Will definitely go again for the food as a take away. Good range of vegetarian food, just make sure to say you don’t want egg noodles

I know no one is going to believe this review but I just can’t believe the other reviews I’m reading. This is The Best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been in my life. I’ve been to many restaurants and honestly, this was so unexpected. The quality and presentation of the dishes are so high above what you would expect from this price range. The service also, the waiter was swift and he could speak every language imaginable. Wish I lived in Leeds to come here very often. Again, the best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life. And this is coming from a guy whose never bother to leave a good review anywhere.

One of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Leeds!
We ordered Seafood Ramen (changed to udon) and yakisoba meal deal. Love the meal deal! Around £15 for 1 starter, yakisoba and beer! We chose ebi katsu as our starter, and we love it so much🌷
Forgot to mention, the vegetable broth was amazing!
Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.
Will come back soon.

Delicious! Food took a while to come but I don't begrudge that when they have so many sushi options to prepare. Had some sushi and then a peanut and chilli noodle dish that was lovely.
A.
Incredibly authentic Japanese food! Reasonably priced. The sushi is really high quality and everything we ordered tasted great.
J. R.
Can't come recommended highly enough for fans of Japanese cuisine. Truly authentic and the quality of the food is to die for. If you've had ramen elsewhere at chain restaurants, you haven't had it properly until you've tried it here. I'd also recommend having a deep dive into their sides menu for things like yakitori, kaarage and takoyaki, or speaking to them about the new sushi bar they have.
The staff are very helpful and friendly and will usually offer a recommendation if you're a bit lost (the menu is quite large and daunting if it's your first trip). It's a very traditional setup inside (chopsticks & small bowls) although they'll happily give you cutlery if you ask. It's also quite a small venue, which can make sitting larger groups difficult but I've never found any issues.
I used to visit frequently as a student in the city and I always make a point of going whenever I'm back in the city during a year - it's just that good.

BEST SUSHI
the sushi here is literally art and it tastes so nice as well I’m sure whatever you order you will enjoy!! And for the price it’s sooo reasonable

I have been coming to Fuji Hiro since I think the year it opened, so circa 20 years, I learnt to use chop sticks here. The food is great & highly consistent, and the service is always excellent. The Yaki-Soba is my preference and it’s delicious every time. That being said all of the food is consistently great! Here’s to another 20 years of Fuji Hiro.
D. C.
Been going here for 20 years since college. Amazing place best food around
T. Y.
Fuji Hiro is quite small, the decor is dated and tables are pretty packed together but don't let that discourage you. It is probably the closest you'll find in authentic Japanese food in Leeds. Its been there for many many years now, since I was at Uni ( 20yrs ago) which is a testament on how well run, loved established this place is.
If you want Japanese food in Leeds, I can't think of anywhere better than here.
S. K.
Being Japanese, I have a higher standard of Japanese food than most in England. And Fuji Hiro didn’t disappoint - their Katsu-Don was the best I’ve eaten in Leeds.
The whole menu is very authentic, probably being the most authentic varied menu of Japanese food in Leeds.
The Okonomiyaki sticks were also a highlight and came garnished with the correct Japanese Mayo and okonomiyaki sauce.
Most restaurants offer free green tea in Japan, so It was great to see this offered in Fuji Hiro. And they even had traditional Japanese music playing too.
If you’re looking for really authentic, tasty Japanese dishes such as Katsu-don without any pretentiousness, then this is the best place for you. The Katsu-don was legitimately as good as you’ll find in Japan.
C. L.
The food was very tasty. However, as a party of 4, it was all served at different times and took a very long time to come out. Mine had arrived after everyone else had almost finished theirs. The restaurant wasn't too busy as was a Sunday early afternoon. Staff are friendly. Prices are pretty fair. I'll definitely be back to try again as I'm sure this must have been a blip. Have general heard positive things but can only rate based off my own experiences.
J. M.
I need to go back with more time and more importantly, with other people. Amazing food, lovely atmosphere and excellent service
R. P.
Excellent authentic Japanese restaurant.
The food here is genuine Japanese rather than the modified for western ideas, of other restaurants.
Its very good quality and nicely presented. Value is excellent and we just had a meal for 2 with a couple of beers for £28. Beat that!
Of course you can definitely spend more if you choose to.
On the negative: the service can be slow if the place is busy and they dont seem to have grasped the standard idea that you sit your customer down, provide a menue then take a drinks order. Trying to order drinks before the meal is really hard, waitresses look everywhere else but at you and even when you dofinally get yourorder in, often the meal arrives before the drinks. It seams that nobody is actually in charge and organising the service.
Overall I would recommend Fuji Hero to anyone who wants genuine Japanese dining.
S. C.
Visited today with my partner and 2 young children. We told the lovely waitress what the kids like and the put a meal together for us that was just perfect for them. Thanks for the great service and delicious food.
m.
Food amazing and great value, that's a five, only let down by front of house who are easily confused and some of the staff aren't very attentive, others are great just lacking consistency. Amazing gyoza's, banging noodles and super fresh sashimi. It's not posh and fancy, it's all about the quality of the food.
S. A. A.
Great friendly service. Food was fantastic! I would gladly eat here again.
K. C.
Always impressed with Fuji Hiro. Great food in a nice, chilled out restaurant. My favorite place to eat in Leeds. Gyoza and Spicy Yaki Udon are a must try!
M. B.
Four of us had chicken gyosa, prawn ebi katsu, chicken cha han, king prawn bento, king prawn men and beef men. Food was so fresh and tasty. Definitely book before arriving. Been here many times, never disappointed.
T. K.
Excellent. Among the absolute best of Japanese cuisine. Do not hesitate to patronise this outstanding estabalishment, it is sure to leave a lasting impression.
M. E.
Great quality at a great price! Noodles were fantastic as well as the spicy beef gyoza. Seating is minimal and the atmosphere is bleak, but the flavors make up for it. Green tea is complimentary to all meals. Food was prepared quickly, so it’s also good if you want a quick lunch break. Will definitely return.
R. W.
We haven't been for a while, but used to really like it, we love it now. Great value, amazing food and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will happily go back and recommend.
s. p.
Excellent food as always great atmosphere. Me and my Husband still love it thank you
J. W.
Fuji... have been going to this place for 13 years now. Decent food in a reasonable amount. Fuji is Fuji. New menu with more delicious Japanese dishes. Tried bento today wow, why did I wait so long to try it! Lovely food!
S. H.
Loved it!
Absolutely fantastic food, amazing service with friendly staff on hand and the speed at which the food arrived...believable! The restaurant is small but very cute and really a lovely place to be.
The Tenpura vegetables came out so hot, I almost lost the roof of my mouth but so so worth it!
The picture is of the Yasai Katsu curry...I had the mushrooms removed and it was delicious!
The other half order Chicken Ramen noodles (unsure of the name) but she struggled to finish due to the size of the portion!
I had a Japanese drink called Cal Soda...unsure of the specific flavour but it was tasty!
5* rated and a place I will visit again but one to recommend to friends and family!
If you like Japanese food...then this is the place for you!!!
L. F.
Am not local to Leeds so went with and on the recommendation of my sons. Service - polite, informative and efficient. Food - superb and authentic to Japanese cooking - I spent 3 months in Kyoto dining in a vast array of eateries. It's just a small place so you need to phone and book in advance but no problem. I would be happy to make special journeys to Leeds to eat at Fuji Hiro, it was that good.
A. s.
Absolutely love Fuji hiro. The food is incredible and the gyozas are to die for!! The staff are so polite and lovely.
Y. K.
Had a delicious family meal here. Excellent menu choices. Portion sizes were very generous and the food was delicious and piping hot. Staff were helpful and attentive. The prices were very reasonable. Booking a table is definitely advised especially at the weekend as the place is often full. Looking forward to visiting again!
P. (.
Been coming here since 1997. A student then, it kept us fed with incredible food for a great price and although I don’t live in Leeds any more, I still occasionally visit just to come here and enjoy the food, memories and introduce new people.
Must come back again asap. Thanks, Fuji Hiro!
R.
Been here several times. By far the best ramen in Leeds, as well as the most variety of authentic Japanese dishes such as gyudon and oyakadon. Their portions are very generous especially for the price. Don't bother going anywhere else, this is the hidden gem
J. M.
Great food at a good price in a very homely setting. Visited this small place tonight and was very impressed by the quality and flavour of the dinner. The staff were lovely and it didn't break the bank either. Highly recommend.
a.
No words to describe how amazing the food and service is! I have been coming here for as long as I can remember and I can say, the food is ALWAYS amazing!
J. K.
Despite the most vanilla decor you're ever likely to see, this place is churning out legit Japanese food. Katsu is arguably one of the best in the area and the gyozas are damn tasty. They have recently expanded the menu which is also really good.
R. H.
Haven't been for years and it didn't disappoint. Only criticism is the 4 meals came separately over about 15 minutes
k.
We had a good food, especially sushi was great. Friendly staff, clean and tidy. Would recommend...
M. F.
Had ramen and a salmon bento, take away. Really tasty and good quality ingredients. Will come back for sure
A. H.
Very delicious bento teriyaki
D. v. R.
Added the menu here as they don’t have it anywhere online (which i always find strange in 2018). The food was good, not the best gyoza I’ve ever had but it was still tasty. The portions are huge though so you definitely get your money’s worth. I’ll be coming back to try more of the menu and get a better feel for the food. Decor is quite standard nothing elaborate but it has a certain charm about it.
Edit:
Had a delivery takeaway recently which was very below par, very bland and greasy. Won’t be ordering again.
J. H.
Fantastic place! Great Japanese food, friendly service
J. S.
Fuji Hiro has always been one of my favourite places to eat in Leeds. Tucked behind the Metion Centre, recently it's had a bit of a face lift. New wheelchair accessible entrance, a little less seating inside to make space for people to get around. Nice new furniture whilst still keeping the Japanese look- refectory style (but more comfortable). Yaki Udon is still one of my all time favourite dishes here, but recently had one of their newer offerings a Bento box. The veg tempura was lovely. The seafood was fresh and tasty. We also added some mackrel sushi to this which was perfect. The portions are huge. I ended up taking a bunch of this away with me to eat later on. Absolutely delicious. The prices they charge makes it a steal.
G. T.
Quick service. Excellent waiting staff. Menu is expansive but not expensive. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is a fan of authentic proper Japanese dishes and sushi too. Excellent.
D. T.
Absolutely love this place! The gyozas are the best I've ever had. Quick service too!
M. P.
We haven't been since it changed hands. It has changed a lot, the food is still very good but, for us, it has lost it's charm. The menu is now much bigger, the tables are closer together and it has lost its simple relaxed atmosphere.
A. P.
Having been a regular visitor nearly 20 years ago, it's been a number of years since I last visited. Really good to find that the gyoza dumplings are as delicious as ever, as was the rest of the meal. Looking forward to coming back soon, it's great to see this restaurant still going strong in Leeds.
P. K.
Still as good as I remember it as I haven't been for years - spicy yaki soba with gyoza. The best.
H. O. L.
Great food. Real Japanese and high quality. Great care and presentation
S. T.
Gyozas are taste fresh and homemade. Some of the best I've had. Ramen is very authentic and I loved the taste. The hosts are very pleasing and make you feel very comfortable.
D. S.
Food was really tasty but one order was incorrect and a starter was missing, we weren't charged for it though so that redeemed it slightly
M. L.
Favourite noodle place in Leeds. Would recommend the ramen to everyone. Defo worth checking out!
L.
Visited on Saturday night and what a fantastic place. Been here a few times over the years but haven't been in awhile, noticed change in staff and menu made me a little dubious but all their efforts that have gone into this place have paid off.
The service is great, the food quality is amazing and there is a huge choice on the menu making it perfect place for a meal at any time of day. The set-up and decor feels really authentic whilst still catering for British etiquette. I get slight feelings of nostalgia with the east Asian cafe style set-up which adds to the whole experience.
W. C.
Quick service, nice small place, quite oily yaki soba but good for the price. Had the set meal all in for £16.95.
M. B.
The chicken ramen - brilliant, gyozas - brilliant, sake - brilliant! Everything was really tasty! It's a small, modest restaurant that serves incredible, authentic japanese food. I will definitely be a regular here going forward. Arigato gozaimasu to the staff and owners!
K. N.
Great customer service, super friendly staffs. Nice sushi and decent ramen. Had tonmotsu ramen and was hopping for a more extraordinary taste (high expectations due to restaurant’s high ratings). However, it is more salty than I would prefer and is a bit sour at the same time. Also needs to wait for a really long time for a bowl of ramen 😅
J. M.
Have always loved Fuji Hiro and returned today after lockdown for the firs time since lockdown. DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Such lovely service, food awesome and thoughtfulness for our 5 year old girl was lovely. Even adapted chop sticks so she could use them. Adorable. Love this place!
J. S.
Wonderful place to get a range of Japanese dishes. Excellent food at very sensible prices.
N. P.
Been dining here for over 20 years including having our wedding here. Fabulous tasty food, great for vegetarian and vegan. Huge portions and free tea. Wonderful and really kind staff. Once we were here when a homeless person came in with no shoes and started asking people for money. The owner took off his shoes and offered them to the man. I know that's probably not something that's important when eating, but showed me that they are good people :)
L. H.
Great food and service, will definately be back!
R. C.
Delicious! Good portions and sushi prepared with a lot of care. Cosy spot with friendly staff.
A. E.
As always, the food is amazing, anyone who has lived in Leeds for a decent length of time should know this place, if you don't, it's time to go!!
N. Y.
Amazing Food, we loved it. Waiter was really sweet.
H.
My fave restaurant in Leeds, haven't been since march 😭 but still ordering via deliveroo. Always turns up hot and delicious. Can't wait to visit this place again in the future. Chilli chicken ramen is perfect.
J. F.
Food tasted great and service was good
T. A. L.
I've spent 4 years in Japan, and i can say that this place's food is as close to authentic as it can get. Portion size is quite big so i'd recommend bringing companions. You should definitely try their Yakisoba.
Staff were very polite and always look happy. They were Japanese so i would not expect less than the over-the-top customer service.
K. K.
We used to frequent this restaurant 20 years ago. The Spicy Yaki Udon with their homemade curry sauce has always been the favourite of ours. We've decided to come back to the restaurant today and noticed a slight differential with the yaki udon taste. Perhaps due to change of ownership. However, it is still delicious. If you're in Leeds, do give Fuji Hiro a try.

2 Guests @ 19:30. 19th August 2020 as part of the "Eat Out to Help Out" campaign we booked in at Fuji Hiro as we had heard great reviews from friends. What I can say is that Fuji Hiro were extremely full and probably underestimated just how busy they would be from this campaign. As a result we were called at 17:15 to ask to push our table back to 20:00 which was no problem. We arrived and there was a queue outside of about 4 tables in front of us, all whom had booked too. Whilst it was frustrating that we had to wait to be seated and only actually sat down at 20:30 I must say that this didnt ruin our experience.
The staff were running around trying to service everyone in a timely manner, I am sure that some tables wouldn't have been happy with how fast they took their order but we took the initiative and asked for our order to be taken once we were ready.
There is a huge choice on the menu and I selected the Katsu Chicken Bento Box and we got some sushi to share. I must say that the quality of the food was exceptional.
I would be happy to pay full price for the meal again, so long as we didnt have to wait an extra hour to be seated. All in all I understand that Fuji Hiro had issues with overbooking however the quality of the food shouldn't be tainted by this.
Thank you for having us and we will definitely be back again.
A. C.
Unpretentious Japanese restaurant serving amazing food. The tonkotsu ramen was stunning - the best bowl I have had outside of Japan. It was a bit pricey but worth the money - I honestly would have paid more. The portions are huge, and the service prompt and friendly. A must visit.
C. A.
Fantastic value. Small restaurant so you may struggle to get a table in peak time but the food is delicious, the selection is very wide and the staff are lovely. Highly recommended if you have a craving for Japanese food.
M. P.
Absolutely the best Japanese noodle bar EVER... I love this restaurant - no frills just really, really great food. Lunch, dinner the menu is the same... always busy too. You always get generous portions so no leaving hungry and it is very reasonably priced.
F. F.
I've been following Fuji Hiro since it changed management a few years back. They have continuously improved the quality of their food and today I could not help but give 5 stars. I noticed last year they made an important addition to their kitchen crew who I know is a really good cook from a another restaurant I frequent. Good job Fuji Hiro. Please keep up the good work! I am looking forward to your next improvement.
K. C.
One of my favourite Leeds restaurants. I have been going here for 15 years. The menu hasn't changed much in all that time and the quality has been maintained. It's a very accessible version of Japanese food. I particularly like the Gyoza. The place is very informal. Its focus is noodles, but I also recommend the chicken katsu curry.
S.
Good food and service, just a very vanilla atmosphere. Would benefit from some music/background noise. It can feel quite awkward like you're in a library and not allowed to talk sometimes, especially quieter times of the day/evening. The food is very tasty though and the bento boxes very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. Everything is served pretty quick. Some good vegetarian options too. Bonus that they take card unlike a lot of Asian restaurants in Leeds. Just needs some form of decor and background noise to make it a little more atmospheric. But the food gets 0 complaints at all.
B. N.
This was the first restaurant I was introduced to when I came to Leeds over 20 years ago. It's still as good now as it was then, and is our go-to for pre-gig food before heading to the arena. Their set menu, with starter/side dish, noodles and a beer is very good value for money.
L. B.
The food is delicious! Very low key place. Great service. Amazing sushi
E. B.
Delicious food but got a lot more expensive recently. It's now more of a restaurant than a nice Japanese café, and I've been going there for 10 years plus so I guess I can understand that they need to change more for a decent center Leeds spot, but still, it's lost a little charm in the process. Ebi curry is a top pick at £13 - not quite the cost conscious quick lunch it used to be. Still worth a lunch time treat, just not so often.
R. G.
Green tea still comes free of charge with your meal, and the service has always been swift, courteous, and efficient. It feels as though you've stumbled upon a true hidden gem when dining here, since it's off the main track of restaurants, especially being nestled in next to a fast food place and the quieter side of the Merrion centre. Nonetheless, this place still stands strong, and I know that I'll be back for more anytime soon. The plates are often so generous I cannot finish them, and on a week of rain and cold like this, I can think of no better place for respite and warmth. Get thee to Fuji Hiro!
F. T.
I've been in Leeds for 2 days and after visit this restaurant the first day, I had to repeat the second day.
Much variety of Japanese dishes and delicious sushi!
I totally recommend it!
A. E.
Its my first experience of a Japanese restaurant for quite a while, so it was a nice change. We had the octopus balls which are a famous street food. These were topped with a bit of nori and some bento flakes. These were lovely.
We then had ramen which is a tasty and hearty dish. One chilli chicken which is more my taste and i had the plain which is also good if a bit more subtle.
There was free green tea which is a nice touch. The staff were great and the service was impecable.
Overall a great experience.
N. G.
Absolutely high quality Japanese food. I brought some former Japanese residents and they priased its authenticity. Reminded them of home.
L. S. W.
Great place With the freshest ingrediants and each dish had was incredibly tasty - highly recommend. If your looking for a restaurant where its all about the food than the location/branding then Fuji Hiro us a winner?
Mains are priced from around £9 - 12 . I had the Spicy Chicken Men, which was delicious (see below). The lovely waitress checked i was happy and asked if id like more sauce, which really impressed. Cant wait to visit again.
S. M.
Excellent service and amazing food. Would definitely visit again.
J. M.
Beautiful food on all fronts. The presentation was faultless and the flavours exquisite. Perfect for a special occasion.
B. M.
I guess most 'multi cultural' food bought in the UK is going to be tuned to the UK palate and if that's how you criticise Fuji Hiro then may I suggest you've got your priorities in a twist. This is great value refectory dining from an independent. The service is friendly and the food is fresh and tasty. I've eaten everything on the menu over the last 16+ years or so and can recommend it all.
J. -.
I found the food not to my taste but not for lack of quality, merely for my own lack of experience with Japanese cuisine - the quantity was generous and the service was friendly, familiar and yet polite. The restaurant is ascetically simple in its decor - perhaps too bare, verging upon oppressively sterile, but once again, this is a matter of taste.
I have no complaint, and the woman serving us left me smiling. Go give them money ^_^
W. T.
awesome food, really tasty, came quickly, and it was huge portion for less than a tenner
W. F.
Great little place with a big menu. Something to suite everyone. Fast and helpful service. The portion sizes are more than ample and at a very reasonable price. Recommend this over My Thai next door.

Always great noodles!

Very good service and very delicious food.
Keep going guys👍🏼

Best food in Leeds. Sushi and tempura was delicious. Really reasonably priced. Our favourite weekend dinner.
E. L.
They offer a vast range of fresh food. I enjoyed dining here. The employees are always kind, prices are fair and the place is always neat.
C. A.
Fantastic value. Small restaurant so you may struggle to get a table in peak time but the food is delicious, the selection is very wide and the staff are lovely. Highly recommended if you have a craving for Japanese food.
A. s.
Been once and will be going again. Delicious food at a decent price.
C. J.
Decent place to fill up on food, massive
portion. Not true Japanese as the food and style is distinctively Far Eastern flare but not Japanese. The rice is Jasmine, the curry is Chinese style and the side dishes are not home made. If you don't go in expecting Japanese, it's decent.
C. S.
My hubby and i have been going here since we met in 2003 and loved it but went today and not sure what has happened, we ordered dumplings, noddles and katsu curry all looked like they did before but the taste just wasnt there. The lady serving us didnt say a single word to us (not lying) we where super nice to her said thank you lots, when paying i did a completely silent transaction she never said one word which i find very strange. I run a multi awarding event catering company and talking to your customers is the most important thing after serving good food. Sorry to say the thai restaurant next door was packed but fuji was empty😕 i feel so disappointed we come from York and used to crave this place.
A. M.
Fuji Hiro is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Leeds... the food is unbelievably tasty and the staff are very friendly... fair enough the decor is pretty basic but if you are trying to impress with substance over style then this is the place... I shudder to think how much I spent in here when I lived in Leeds. It's an addiction! :-)
K. N.
Stunningly gorgeous! Small restaurant, but welcoming, super polite, lovely staff. Food was fresh and mouth watering. Meat was perfect, noodles slurpable and great sauce
D. W.
Really good food, we go here quite often. Never disappoints, and the staff are really helpful.
The Fuji beef men, is my favourite. The new sushi menu is great as well.
D. F.
Very good in hot food. Recommend Tofu dish
B. T.
I've been frequenting Fuji Hiro for the last 20 years. The food is amazing and in the last 20 years I've never had a bad experience.
I'd highly recommend Yaki Soba, Cha Han, Spicy Chicken Men or Chicken Katsu Curry.
D. W.
Cosy family run type of place, you'll usually be seated immediately, but even when there's a queue the turnaround time is pretty quick. Best Katsu curry in Leeds, and I'm partial to the spicy beef gyoza. Food comes out as and when it's ready, but that doesn't bother me at all. Does seem a little more expensive lately, but still a bargain compared to Wagamama and so much tastier, worth a try if you've never popped in before.
S. H.
Fabulous food as ever. Definitely the fastest fresh cooked food in Leeds. I love to go back here when I go home dispite being away for 15 years. No frills, just well cooked tasty delicious food
M. P.
I loved the food (it was delicious) and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was baby seats and a bowl was provided fir our 1 year old. Will be coming back definitely
J. M.
Very authentic Japanese dishes here
S.
Amazing food and lots of diet-friendly options, however the service was rather slow and many meals were served irregularly but worth the wait!! Unfortunately no disabled toilet but it is very accessible and there are public toilets nearby.
L. A.
Tried this tonight on delivery. Incredible food, amazing flavours and ample portions. Does not disappoint. This might just become my new favourite place. The fuji beef-men and yakitori are delicious, as are the gyoza.
R. W.
I've been going to Fuji Hiro for lunch on a semi regular basis for over seventeen years. It's been around for even longer. Very friendly. Excellent food. Large portions.
T. D.
Straight up my favorite place to eat in Leeds the food is incredible it has a cafe atmosphere, it dosent look like much but they put the effort in the food instead of the walls, the staff are really nice and friendly, it's good service and you get a good portion for the price. Come hear instead of Little Tokyo it dosent look anywhere near as good but tastes better and they will accommodate gluten free.

Been eating here for years, the food is great and wait times are reasonable but who can complain about free green tea while you wait?
They also do takeaway collection which my partner and I use regularly.
F. S.
Delicious sushi
E. A.
Great value
I was dealing with a nasty cold and their chicken Katsu curry... made me sweat and cleared me up next time I catch a cold like the one I had I'll be back for it again.
Of course I'll be back to try other items on the menu as well but first experience and it was great
Arigato!

Very nice, quick tasty food..
Would recommend

Fuji hero is my favourite noodle bar in the uk .whenever we do the Leeds abbey dash we pile in afterwards to rejuvenate . Made to order , fresh , absolutely delicious and good value . The patrons are also lovely and not at all avaricious. I will be there 6/11/17 .

It's always great. The food is fantastic, just don't be concerned if things come out one at a time or slightly out of order. This is a place to savour, so give yourself plenty of time :D
C. F.
No nonsense authentic Japanese dishes that will knock your socks off! An absolute gem of a place. The food is out this world.
After some shopping on a cold Leeds day, the perfect end is a visit to this place and to order the Chilli Chicken Ramen - absolute bliss.
M. W.
Simplistic interior design, food is great and made to order. Prices above average, but worth it if you're looking for something a little bit fancier and authentic.
E. L.
They offer a vast range of fresh food. I enjoyed dining here. The employees are always kind, prices are fair and the place is always neat.
M. R.
A great range of dishes, all super tasty, fresh and served quickly. Their gyoza is to die for and the katsu chicken curry is way better than anything you can eat at wagamama. Plus you get free green tea!
J.
Great food. Been going here since it opened and it just keeps getting better. Loving the new bento boxes. Really warm welcome and very friendly staff
N.
Inexpensive and really good quality.. the chicken katsu curry is something we look forward to. The goyza are a great starter too.
The decor is simple but comfortable and the staff are efficient and friendly.
Good for individuals or large groups..

2 Guests @ 19:30. 19th August 2020 as part of the "Eat Out to Help Out" campaign we booked in at Fuji Hiro as we had heard great reviews from friends. What I can say is that Fuji Hiro were extremely full and probably underestimated just how …

Pretty quick service and tasty food. The restaurant itself is basic and functional and I thought it was a little on the pricey side for ramen but I enjoyed my meal nonetheless.

Fujis needs no introduction, food is back on point, it's not fine dining but it's all about the food not the surroundings, one of the best places in leeds to eat, very reasonable prices, and it's been around forever

Small place, but food is very good. Costs the same as Wagamama, but quality and taste much better. Well worth trying.

So it would seem I'm rather late to the party on this one as Fuji Hero was actually the first Japanese restaurant in Leeds 25 years ago. There is a great range of dishes from simple broths and noodles, to the absolute works of art that are the traditional maki rolls; always made with beautiful ingredients and absolute precision. Watching them being created is a masterclass.
This is now my favourite restaurant in Leeds and I look forward to working through the menu!
Top picks so far are the duck with apple sauce starter and the chicken teriyaki roll 😋
T. C.
I've been to Fuji Hero a good many years back as I don't come up to Leeds often, but I had the urge to go again and I love the food, the choice and authenticity. Had the toki Kara age which was beautifully fried, crispy yet tender bites of chicken and Fuji Hero ramen, which was a seafood forward broth with a bit of everything in it, was very well done and balanced in flavours and well presented.

(Translated) The sashimi told me that the hands and feet are too slow, the presentation is first-rate, the standard is high, the food is fresh, the price is a bit high, the place is clean, the transportation is convenient, and you can see it from a distance on the street

刺身師傳手腳太慢,賣相一流,水準要求高,食品新鮮,價格有點高,地方清潔,交通方便,在大街上可遠處見到
