Best chips we've ever tried!! Wish these were in Loughborough too

Wow wow wow! First time I had this! There was a queue, and we had to wait 20 minutes till we got our food… this was worth the wait. Fresh cut chips topped with different sauces, powders and other toppings. Very well priced, we had the small portions and they were generous sizes. Can’t wait to try another combination of sauces and toppings the next time we visit as well as the Beyond Burgers they have which look good too!

Awesome Chips is an amazing place and perfect for spice loving people. The Chips are very tender and fresh, as they're not frozen and fried from directly cutting potatoes. This combined with endless combinations of sauce and spices proves to being the king of "loaded chip". Certainly a must try place with the food being amazing and very well priced. As well as very good quantity which could be a good lunch if you go for the large portion, Can't wait to try these chips again!

This place offers one of the best chips I've tasted. Been here multiple times and never disappointed. There's a variety of sauce choices and flavours. The staff are friendly and work as fast as they can. The chips are freshly made (you can see the staff use the raw potatoes to make them from scratch). Awesome chips is a Dutch brand so I believe there is also choice for Dutch sauces and Dutch drinks. The only downside id say is the kiosk structure - because it is so popular, lines build up which causes a crowd which blocks people from walking by. Overall a 5 Star for me and would definitely recommend, especially when you're hungry and on the go.

Really upset to find that Awesome chips are using vegetable oil soya extract and not sunflower oil. Not great for those suffering from allergies. 😕 Update: The change of oil is due to supply shortage of sunflower oil. Those who suffer from allergies can call on the day and find out if they are using sunflower oil or not.

My favourite chips joint IN THE WORLD! This place is conveniently located in the heart of Leicester and it is totally worth the visit, even from a nearby town. The chips are of extremely high quality and are freshly made to order. The sizes are adequate and beware that the large size are a really modest size! I got the masala piri piri sauce and garlic chilli mixed which was an awesome combination and would definitely recommend for others to try the same. Would definitely return 100%. To say the least, these chips were truly AWESOME.

Decently priced for town centre. Chips always good! Sometimes there's a crowd and it's so busy, best to avoid when it's busy or you'll be waiting a while (-1 star)! Chips themselves are really good and worth it but I wouldn't wait 15-20mins in a crowd. Also they have a huge selection of sauces or you can get salt alone. But they never put enough salt and the other thing I dislike is that they toss your chips in the sauce so they become soggy. I dislike soggy chips but that's my preference (-1 star for me). Worth a try if no queue.

The chips were OK but the sweet potato fries were a complete let down. Mostly over cooked, burnt. Texture was as though they had been sitting in the oil, very disappointed and unable to return as we had an appointment to get to. I'm afraid the name was not what we received 😕

The chips here genuinely are awesome, I can't reiterate that enough, I don't know what they do but they're just incredible. The sauce options are massive and they have a big allergy board which tells you what's vegan etc which is so helpful!! The queues can be a bit big which sucks a bit cos it's a hole-in-the-wall type place so you gotta stand right by a bus stop full of people while you wait, but this shows that it's popular, and the chips are worth it for the price and the wait haha!

Helpful staff, that let you taste the different types of sauces before you buy, this gives a very good experience linked with good customer service. The different types of sauces are nice and different. So if you want to try different and a range of flavours this us the place to go for a portion of chips.this was my first time trying awesome chips out, I ordered a small with the ranch sauce mixed with chilli powder. this was actually quite nice.

I'd heard a lot of hype about the chips here so I knew that I had to try them. I was disappointed, however, by the experience. The line took 20 minutes to filter through and I felt the chips were overpriced. The size of a 'regular' portion, at the price of £2.75, was far worse value than the portions at the fish shop on Granby Street. The quality of the chips too, I felt, were fairly standard and didn't make up for the price, while there wasn't enough sauce to suitably cover the chips.

Saw one of the staff scratching their behind once. Also, potato deliveries are stored on the floor in front of the store. I'm not convinced by hygiene standards here. Otherwise it's a well-branded, highly popular food outlet in the centre of the city, which serves great tasting chips. But not somewhere I'd recommend...

Been a handful of times and I'd love to give the place 5 stars. Chips are very very nice but a few things put me off giving a top score. Last time I went the staff all looked depressed and I didn't even get a thank you. Also they over did it on the cheese. I got a lump the size of a meatball that hadn't been grated properly. So I would recommend not getting cheese (it's not worth the extra 50p).

Bought some of these tonight for a quick meal on the go, have been a few times before and the food was always good. Sadly a bit disappointed this time around though...chips were very, VERY greasy, not to what an average Joe would call a normal level.... the sheer amount of cooking oil inside the bag was unreal... the chips were dripping in it. Still feeling a bit crappy now, 6 hours later after suffering belly ache as a result. Not nice! I'm not sure if this is an isolated incident but be wary... The chips were up their standard of quality flavour-wise nonetheless and the queue was a bit long as usual. Would be a 5 star but this lets the experience down a touch.
