N. M.Had a great experience at bills and had their special jubilee breakfast. It came very well presented and was reasonably tasty, I think the bacon and sausages could have come out a bit warmer and had a more flavoursome sausage, but overall was very good. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was nice with very attentive service. Would come again next time I'm in Leicester.

A. W.Fabulous food highly recommend the duck starter. Had a lovely meal until I went to pay and had a little trouble with my Google pay. Received lovely support from the manager who was so kind, patient and understanding. She helped me sort everything out it was my first time out with my girls since my accident which left me in a wheelchair so I was very upset. Great wheelchair access nice clean disabled toilet. Thank you bills for being very kind and we did have a lovely meal.
s. n.Visited yesterday , got top rate service at a decent price again. We're told on arrival there may be a wait which is always great to be informed of before being seated. Though we barely waited at all given its such fresh food. The food was delicious and portions were just right. Waitresses were lovely and we were checked on just the right amount of times. Can't wait to come back.

Calamari was soft & crisp, cooked really well, not at all rubbery.
Only one suggestion; serve the coleslaw on the side with the chicken burger instead of on the burger itself. Makes it very difficult to eat, the chicken slides about, & bun went soggy & disintegrated. Leave the coleslaw on the side & problem solved.
Otherwise, would revommend, and will be returning. Solve the coleslaw & it would be 5 stars.
G.Food good, staff good but toilets poor. 4 unisex toilets. Only 2 with soap, 1 toilet blocked and 1 with a large overflowing bin in it. Please have a toilet rota and you'd have had 5 stars.

M. D. F.I came here for breakfast on a Saturday and was greeted by Sophie, who was very helpful and kind throughout the whole meal. The smell was reminiscent of going to a pancake house in the United States. The atmosphere was very lively but quite calm and casual. I decided to order a watermelon and raspberry cooler smoothie which was very refreshing and the watermelon garnish was a nice touch and tasted very fresh. For my main, I ordered a 5 stack of smoked streaky bacon pancakes which were quite small for 9.95 but we're very nice. It has very quirky decor that I enjoyed very much because the more you look, the more details you notice. The food quality overall was very good at the whole experience was a great. The one downside was the price for the pancakes even though they were very filling. Will definitely be back for Dinner at some point! Overall, I definitely recommend!

The staff who served us here are courteous and attentive. The food was good and everyone enjoyed the breakfast. There are are also outdoor seating available in this restaurant. They served the meals quickly.

Was really dissapointed with the 12% optional service charge added to the end of the bill though as I found out that the waiting staff don't get this, it goes to the business! Slipped the waitress cash money for her tip which was thoroughly deserved.
a. b.Unreal experience! I visited Bills Holborn in London once before it was woeful, absolutely vile. I thought i would give the place the benefit of the doubt and visit while in Leicester. I’m so bloody glad i did! My server Grace, she was special. We shared a few jokes, found out she was a uni student etc and we are both vegans!🌱 She was so attentive and thoughtful. Food was simply delish, but my server Grace was the one that made the experience, so knowledgeable and helpful. REAL OLD SCHOOL HOSPITALITY, i hope more restaurants take a leaf out of her book😞😇
Just an overall, stunning young lady, who has a big future. I cant wait to come back, the staff including young Grace are SUPERB.

Whilst I really enjoyed the starter and the excellent bread and butter pudding dessert (although defo not a healthy option with all the white chocolate) the burger for the main course was disappointing (why restaurants cannot get a good bun for the burger I don't know). Overall probably a 3.5 out of 5.

You can get better for cheaper. Fresher for cheaper and quicker for cheaper brunches in Leicester than this. Service and location are excellent and would only go again if I was in a mad rush and nowhere nearby was open.

However the food was lovely and well cooked , the service was brilliant no lengthy wait for service or food. The waiting staff were polite and attentive. We had an instance today where a drunk guy came and shouted harrasment at us and others but quickly after the management came and apologized and explained they had reported him to security of the local area. F.Been to Bills several times at various locations in the UK, and usually have the fish pie which in the past was good, but unfortunately on our last visit to this branch it was disappointing with the fish pie consisting mostly of sloppy potato with little else in the way of any kind of fish. The drinks were expensive also, so overall a bad experience.
We will not rush to return any time soon.

We had 2 course lunch - mushroom truffle risotto - really nice followed by sweet cinnamon doughnuts and chocolate sauce for dessert. Our son had eggs benedict as a meal - poached eggs, wiltshire ham on toasted muffins with hollandaise sauce and chips. Again lovely meal.

No pressure selling or on the clock. Food was gorgeous and the decor is so quirky, arty and beautiful. First time Id been to a Bills and am recommending highly. Good prices and excellent varied menu too. Order a pot of tea. It comes in a great big vintage enamelled teapot with hot water no problem. I loved it all!

A group of 17 of us booked a table at Bill's, on arrival our full table wasn't available as they had to join a few tables together and a group were taking their time so we popped into the Wetherspoons around the corner for another quick beer.
When we arrived back the tables were set and the service was quick, efficient and friendly and bantered with the group.
The ribs were outstanding. All in all a very good night and I am like to go back with my wife.
T. C.Brilliant service! I am a coeliac and was given a separate gluten free menu and looked after by the manager. I chose the butternut squash risotto and wasn't disappointed. Fresh ingredients, full of flavour and a generous portion. My family all loved their meals too. I couldn't fault this restaurant that we just stumbled across after years of visiting Leicester! We will definitely be making it a regular choice in future.

I think they were having some issues in the kitchen - but still no excuse for the language out in the restaurant, particularly when we were with two young children.

The sharing platter starter is superb (calamari- wow!!!) and enough for two easily. Fries were perfect as well - slightly crispy, fluffy inside, hint of salt. Do not miss the cinnamon doughnuts at the end - incredible dipped in the caramel sauce they come with... Definitely a favourite with all our family. Staff were helpful, chatty and cheerful even though it was very busy. Great!!!

The choice of food is very warming and filling. Pasta bakes, fish, salads, ribs. Predominantly classic European dishes. Excellently made cocktails, delightful and professional wait-staff. The entire experience was refreshing.

S. C.Starters of garlic style bread, butter topped pate, posh sounding cheese sticks or squid in breadcrumbs, all of which we poor in taste and quality might usually have had me calling for the check far earlier.
Our main meals were far better than the starters, especially so the sea bass which two of us agreed was grilled off to almost perfection. Those that took vegetarian offerings were more than happy with the menu and everyone loved the healthy homely style fries. Burger meals passed with flying colors though I believe 'Bill' needs to up the ante by improving the taste. Steak is on the menu as 16oz, 8oz, or as a smaller offering with egg and fries, so we tried the latter two only to discover that the choice does not include 'cooked rare'. Ordering 'medium' steaks and 'well done' we discovered that these must be cooked by prescribed time without any consideration to the thickness or quality of beef being used. My steak was cooked to a medium standard at the thicker end but was ruined elsewhere, another had half a steak that he struggled to chew plus was almost raw. Finally the steak ordered well done was absolutely spot on which goes to show why we as a group could not reach an agreement on the steak used at Bill's.
No puddings were ordered, which is quite rare for our group but perhaps demonstrates how let down we were in general by poorly executed cooking skills.
In my view the food was fine, good in places perhaps, but in need of improvement. The waitress executed her job to perfection at every stage which is a rare credit in my opinion, that coupled with the ambiance did improve the mood and general enjoyment of the occasion.
N. K.Been for breakfast & lunch on several occasions. Freshly cooked food & great quality products used. The food was presented and always presented well. The staff are very friendly and genuinely polight. I visit regularly and enjoy it each time. I have 2 children and they always feel comfortable there also. Shame there's no pencils / colouring for older children to keep occupied as you do in other restaurants however it's not the end of the world as I already know this we take colouring & books 2 read. The chefs do a top job hence why I am a returning customer.

Not only that we turned up 20 minutes before they were due to open, it was miserable and raining and we were invited in and the staff got us hot drinks, while they were settling up ready to open. Very impressed, will definitely be visiting again.

J. W.Bill's is an interesting place to eat. I side the decor is basic at first glance but a second look and it is full of quirky stuff dotted around the place. The menus cover a wide variety of tastes and they actually have a separate vegan and vegetarian menu which great to see. The hard part was choosing what to eat. Once we had the food arrived fairly promptly and was all very tasty. Drinks are a typical selection. Staff that served us were really lovely and attentive. All looked clean so will be returning to try another of Bill's tasty offerings.
P. M.Excellent. We ordered a Halloumi Burger which was brought out with mayonnaise. Being on an egg free diet, I asked if the mayonnaise could be swapped to which they kindly replaced with vegan mayonnaise. As they passed (before we actually started eating), they noticed that the buns that we had also contain eggs. We were more than happy for them to swap the buns and keep the same filling. They went out of there way to give us a freshly made burger. 10/10 for service. Very nice food as well. Thank you.
s.Great ambience. Had the pancakes for a late breaky. Really love how they deal with people who have allergies. So glad somewhere takes them serious! Only thing that couldve been better is if the pancakes had more honey or option of some cream as they were a bit dry.

I went last night with a couple of friends for a birthday and was greeted by a member of staff who new exactly where they were without me saying a word and then sat me down with an allergy sheet as they remembered that I have a slight allergy to nuts. They are very strict with this and although I am not severely allergic I appreciate the efforts to make sure there is no contamination etc. So it’s a great place to go if you are worried about that kind of thing when dining out. I had the halloumi starter, which I always have and then a sirloin steak omg it was like cooked to perfection with love. Ssoooo good, thanks chef! Although Bill, where’s the chocolate bomb gone bro, can we bring it back?
