I had a very nice meal here, I brought small chips, battered sausage and curry sauce. I thought it was very well presented and well cooked. The sausage was a bit too greasy for my liking, also the batter wasn’t as crispy as I prefer. I understand those are, after all my preferences but it still let it down. The service was fast and the curry sauce was fantastic. The consistency and flavour was great. The chips were very nice and it was a great portion size. Overall it was very good 4* the sausage was the deciding factor I don’t know if it was cooked hastily or what the reason was but it was only a middle of the road sausage.

I only have basic dishes, usually on way home from shopping. The chips are always crisp and never greasey I usually have either beans mushy peas or curry sauce and can recommend all. Service is excellent and the staff are always polite and friendly!

We live locally and used to go here once a week around 8-10 years ago for chips but haven't recently. We had an uber eats voucher so decided to order for pick up. Got mixed meat kebab, mixed tray, and large battered chips, and 1 pc chicken. All excellent! We added some substitutes in the notes in the app and I saw the woman preparing our food reading them when I got there which is great, lots of places ignore the notes. V large portions, good pricing, great takeaway, attentive staff. What more do you want from a chippy.

An absolutely stunning chippy. A great variety menu, cooked to perfection. And the extremely friendly helpful staff are always happy to cook your food how you want it. Everytime I make a telephone order the guy who takes my call always recognises me within seconds. Large chips (salt no vinegar) 9 fish bites (crispy cooked) 1 large Curry Sauce. What an awesome start to friday evening and the weekend. Bucks Chippy gets a 10/10 every time.

Best fish and chips in Leicester city. Always freshly prepared food, consistently satisfactory portion sizes, friendly and efficient staff, easy to access from town with several routes to it. Usually have the haddock and chips, but whatever we have it's always delicious. They will even do a light batter on request. Highly recommended!

First Of All The Fish And Chips From Here Is Faultless But The Mixed Kebab I Had The Other Day Well That Was Something Else!! I Will Elaborate, Great Cutomer Service And A Massive Well Presented Portion And The Food Was Lovely Honestly Couldn't Fault It...But Then About An Hour Later After I'd Finished I Had Severe Stomach Cramps And Were Pebble Dashing For Over Half An Hour So Either The Food Doesn't Agree With Me Or Its The Food Either Way Next Time I Will Opt For Fish And Chips.

A legendary local, family run fish and chips shop. I am regular customer. The fish is always cooked to perfection. The hand cut chips are the best around and always come in a satisfyingly generous portion. Have munched my way around their menu over time and never been disappointed but large cod, chips and MUSHY PEAS are a culinary experience, an initiation to fish and chips, an epicurean landmark. When there is a problem with any restaurant I find it strange when people write awful comments on someone’s website especially when what they right is rude and the language is foul. Why not just speak with the owner ??? He is a lovely man and myself and my family have been coming here for a wile, there for I find it very hard to believe !!!!perhaps they have been written to hurt the business. Please ignore those awful comments and listen to me I am a very fussy customer. In my opinion when the person writing the review is not even using English probably I would be alarmed. Try this place it’s amazing any problems speak with the owner. It is a YES from me. 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
